I genuinely don't think I can give this story enough praise. It's truly a shame that the author died, as it's one of my favourite fantasy novels of all time. Writing Quality - Flawless. As in, throughout the 419 chapters, I don't think that I found a single flaw. Stability of Updates - I just put this down as 5* because I remember the story having good update stability until a couple updates before the "end". Story Development - The story in the beginning is meh, but it eventually it becomes amazing. As much as I love this novel- to the point of having read it 5 times now- It's really not the best. It's still not bad, mind you, and I would never say it's boring or unreadable, but it's significantly worse than every other category. After the initial period of getting tossed around like a ragdoll by powers far beyond his means, the story is downright amazing, though. It's a simple Hero's Journey, but perfected and devoid of any of the gimmicks and lazy tricks of other similar story. Character Design - Good. Arran is a simple man. He has average talent for magic, he has average talent for using a sword, and he has average talent for insights. His only real talent is fighting. To say that he is a natural at killing people would be an understatement. And he's not the type to feel morally conflicted about it either. The other characters are also relatively simple. Despite this, I can't really call any of them bad. It's just good, basic character design, to go along with the good, basic story. World Background - Amazing. It's unfortunately never plumbed to its truest depths, but there are plenty of hints of threats that lie beyond the veil of secrecy. Every time I reread this, I can't help but feel like there's so much left untold about the world. I really can't express how sad I am that this story will never be finished. It's truly an amazing piece of writing, and I wish that he had at least uploaded his notes on the story and world somewhere. It takes everything I love about simple high fantasy and puts it all into one neat, simple package. It truly belongs in the hall of fame of fantasy webnovels, alongside the likes of The Wandering Inn and Mother of Learning.
Really can't understand why this boom isn't receiving more attention, a great world building, a unique power system as well as the good use english grammar, makes this book a must read for me.
It took me until chapter 97 to realise that the main character has no redeemable feature. He is bland. As if the clothes on him were wearing him. From the beginning until now, the MC has been rash and ignorant. And he still is. He has no aim, no ambition, no desire, no goal to fight for. He just travel to where he is directed to, like a sheep following the herd. The writing style is pleasant, albeit with no atmosphere to truly immerse in the story. Overall, it's a pleasant read to pass time. But if you're looking for depth, look elsewhere.
This was a complete waste of time, and if I had to do it again I would gladly do it. We are in a phase of explosion with people translating/writing non stop with no regard to quality, however things were not this bad when this one came out and it was one of the really good ones. I would not recommend reading this normally on account of there not being an ending as author has passed away, but considering the level of work available today, fake reviews and manipulated ratings finding a good content to read is becoming harder and harder, so if you got the time do give this a try.
This looked like was going to be a amazing story. Kept me waiting for updates. Would have been probably one of best books on webnovel if author would not have died of corvid when first started spreading.
From what I remeber the book was really good, and I do mean was. Unfortunately it seems the author has abandoned the book. I left it on 411 hoping for more to come so I could have a binge session yet it hasn’t been updated in like 2 years. What a shame cus this was one of the best ones.

It was the first story I read on the app and is the thing that got me hooked with novels it's been a while since I've read it however from what I can remember it was extremely good. It hasn't been updated for a while now though... Hope the author is doing good and just abandoned the novel for personal reasons or something (:
Sadly, it's a unfinished work. The World building was amazing and kept you intrigued and excited about it's misteries. But I still hope that this story can be finished.
this novel was one of my most anticipated stories every time it was due to release I'd be like counting the hours it was that good but the release schedule of chapters was kinda up and down .. concerning the novel though it was like really slow to get going in some parts especially in the beginning but for the sake of character developement it was worth the wait once the story got going .. I would have liked to read this novel through to its end but I'm assuming for whatever reason the author dropped this novel which was a bit of a let down because I was totally invested in this story .. so yeah overall without the irregular chapter releases and the sudden stop to this novel I would have definitely given this novel a 10 out of 10
It is fair enough to call this book a hidden gem with all of its backgrounds, struggels and character eevelopment Dear Tommy whether you are still struggling against or watching us from Heaven I loved reading your Masterpiece Thank you for this book
MC trains not just progresses. Supporting characters develop a little unnaturally, but that’s about it. Phenomenal world building. Easy to read, good grammar, some plot armor but nothing excessive.
why didn't the author put new chapters? it almost a year since he last posted it and also this story is not ended yet. when did he post a new chapter again? Because I love this story so much and wait for a new chapter every day.
I love how this novel gets a constant supply of power stones even though it's been a year since we heard from Tom. Wish there could be more but beggars can't be choosers

This was a great novel. It took me 3 days to read to chapter 419 and I regret not reading the comments beforehand. Unfortunately the author created a masterpiece and might have been isekaied before they could finish it.
I just found this book, and I'm truly enjoying the way that it has progressed in the first 20 chapters. although I'm curious to know has the story been finished or am I wasting my time by starting it. I'm not sure how to check to see if the story is finished on this app yet. I really enjoy reading and supporting any artist or writer but I do not wish she'll waste my money on an incomplete novel that is no longer being updated

One of the best original stories I've ever read. Very well written and thought out. The background information and development are excellent. This should be at least top ten in the fantasy genre.
probably the best webnovel I have ever read, I just wish that the author didn't drop it. the story has a genuine plot and the characters come to life in every scene, while the MC can be very ignorant of the world at times it allows us to learn about the world along side him which I really love. the secrets to the different paths of power are incredible and really well done, each one is unique and as the reader I love that I was able to use my knowledge of the world to make guesses about the world that have been very close to the truth. there is a great deal of mystery built around this world and I will be extremely ecstatic if the writer continues his book

I love the world and character building. one thing that always bugged me about these novels is how the MC always just leaves his friends for better things. this one at least shows he is reluctant and give a reason for why they split up.

Its been almost a year since the novel has been last updated and I have read many other books in that time but I still come back to check if Paragon of Destruction has been updated once a week because it is one of if not the best book I have read on this site. The world building really stands out and is done phenomenally well in my opinion as well as the character development, the story is fast paced and keeps the readers attention through out all 419 chapters. I truly hope that Tom comes back to finish this Novel because it has so much potential to become even better.
I absolutely love the story that the author is telling it is written absolutely fantastically and although Tom has been gone for a few months and the future of Paragon looks bleak I would recommend you still read it.
Dropped this thing long time ago. But couldn't help give a review, due to a fanboy replied my comment with toxicity. This novel has a very bad character design beyond hope. MC usually act stupidly, has no patience and no outstanding quality. the more you read, the more frustrating you gonna get. not worth reading.

my alltime fav novel on here. shame it was never finished. don't know what happend to author but I'm writing a novel that finishes this one privately at the minute. this novel is written so well its great material for learning how to be a better writer. I highly recommend. and one day I hope to be able to write this well.
