Synopsis
Abandoned by her husband soon after her marriage, Clarice made a new life for herself at court. When her husband Peyton, a national hero, unexpectedly returns to court, Clarice is faced with her past. Yet there is no time to argue, for there is a threat at the palace, and Peyton might be her only means of protection!

I enjoyed this story a lot. It has everything I've, mystery, romance, a strong independent female lead, and it is set in a classical historical genre.
