Eighteen-year-old Yohan is stuck two months into the pandemic, worrying about the whereabouts of his best friend moments before he receives a strange invitation. An invitation to another world. Impulsively, he accepts, and the next thing he knows, he's in a forest, wearing a strange robe and flip flops. It doesn't take long for him to realize that he's not on Earth. The slimes that kill him—for the first time—make sure of that.

Newfound powers, a guide with a hidden past, and monstrosities beyond anything he's ever known are only some of the things in store for Yohan on this alien planet.
