Write a reviewA not to bad novel which really kind of missed the goal as far as I can tell. MC is a reborn soul back to his school years. Having failed his tribulation due to heart demons, he finds himself once again back at the beginning. This time sayimg to himself to get his cultivation right and prevent the heart demons by ensuring certain events never happen. Sadly the MC is just a basic copy / paste of every other reborn cultivator. Going to be stronger and better this time round and every girl he meets pale in comparison to the fairies of his future. Really I just don’t get these guys, a chance to grow and be better and he forgets to smell the roses on the way. It really just grows monotonous and simply boring to continue, so I stopped. I would like to feel some empathy but it felt forced and mostly stale in its delivery. This is on,y my opinion, it needed some more down to earth realism to become relatable, as it stands I felt nothing. TL;dr - it has potential but it is a book on many lost opportunities in being reborn.
Good written story, and he details the side characters well, the back story of the main side characters makes you invested, although the random quick side characters and their back stories feel like filler because he spends paragraphs about them and never mentions them again.
it's fine as a time pass just like some other several cliche stories and yeah the mc is nothing special the only thing unique about the dude is that he know future events and is a cultivator and yeah the female lead is a true genius just like a other low-tier novels where fml is a heaven favorite while mc is rat who is born to struggle mentally and physically and yeah the story is predictable especially when you read about the female lead in the first few chapters and the forced plot romance also make it obvious. I just hope that the mc improve himself like really bro dude the whole thing about intelligence kind of ticked me off not in a sense that I think that normal person can improve his intelligence quickly but its not impossible either not mention when you talk about cultivatiors who after improving their divine sense their mind becames more clear and they can think much faster and accuretly then before and thier divine sense can grow with their strength I think author like really need to seriously study other good cultivation novels because I don't want to see a fucking mc who even after reaching nascent soul or divine transformation can't solve a formula faster then the mortal fml and give excuses like intelligence is not something that can be improved blah blah
It is pretty much a slice of life but the one thing that’s pretty bad is the female lead is 16 years old but she acts like a 5 year with cognitive problem like as if all her development went to her academics but it’s weird because she got taught a hard real life lesson when she was 15Y of had rough real life is and after that chapter she regressed to a mentally disabled 5 year she treats the MC like as if he was her dad.
Reveal SpoilerThe title is very misleading. MC does not develop through slice-of-life action. Cultivation itself is kept to the first 80 chapters to acquire the unexplained multifunctional divine cheat ability and toys. The rest stays true to the slice-of-life genre being a chain series of small time stories rarely exceeding 5 chapters leading to MC low-key bragging his abilities.
It’s a gem of novel spoiled by the protagonist. A nice slice of life comedy that has funny and endearing characters that make them memorable. One of the few novel that has really good secondary and background characters But the MC simply spoils it. The MC is not likeable, any chapter that revolves around him can simply be skipped and you would still enjoy the novel simply because of the fun the side characters bring to the novel. It feels like such a waste but I guess the readers in china like this kind of MC so the author probably wrote it like that cause bills gotta be paid. The story not involving MC are comedy gold and actually made me laugh loudly. All in all a must read novel that shines with its brilliant story line and characters but has MC spots that keeps tarnishing it in between
In a way this is kinda unique experience .....breaking from cliche troops to something slice of life .... not a bad a experience.....Recommend, giving a chance......
Great story only read free ch till will update review later. The detailing is quite good and there is sufficient side character weight age. The world building is above avg not the best but i like it. The only things i feel are slightly ruining the story is his speed like he is getting too over powered too quickly and also he is spreading in all fields which seems inefficient like he did alchemy and artifact refining now if he does beast taming and talismans isn't that just too op.
Not gonna lie, I read this in another site cuz I ain’t gonna waste money on a webnovel. But there’s been more than three instances where they talk about black people. One was where one of the side characters and main side characters were making fun of a black woman. Another about a black man in his 40’s rudely trying to get a 15-16 tear old girls number… and each time, the mc mentions something about how their skin isn’t dark like locals working under the sun, but actual pitch-black skin with bald head and big lips…
Idk why I am reading 1k of slice of life, but it’s just sooo good, interaction between every character is just so… realistic, even when mc goes full cultivator against scum, it only happen 5-6 in 1k chapters, but it’s so flawless that there are no consequences, just hope the story will develop they time in college or something more out of slice of life, but slice of life is fine too
Will start reading, But wanted to comment, A Nascent Soul Realm ! as a true monarch? LoL a Nascent Soul Realm is still low in the cultivation level.
Reveal SpoilerThe mc is just not interested or interesting. He looks down on everyone and everything while interacting with nothing.
all the characters have motivations for their actions and are never like those young masters who seemingly only exist to be annoying. the characters may seem unlikeable at first but they get better throughout the story.
Man I was enjoying this story so much that I went online to read the translated chapters and was disappointed to see how racist all the characters got when they found out they were getting an international exchange student. And when I say racist I mean really racist from picking cotton to make the new student there slave.
Reveal Spoilerits a slice of life story, so it can be extremely boring, but also enjoyable as chill read. Unfortunately like all the MTL novels on this site, half the time they can't get the pronouns of he/she correct.
700 chapters and nothing has happened except for the very beginning some very, very brief business building. The character design alone makes this worth something, everything else just sucks.
the premise is not new. But its made very well. the protagonist character is well founded and very stable. it makes me feel that if a cultivator living for hundreds of years coming back in his youth this is how he will act. not crazy, not war monger, not a loose canon. but a mature, stable person and thinks things thru. i love reading the novel and good at passing my time. I recommend it as a must read for those looking for slice of life with some cultivator theme.
