Chapter 20: Fraud
Leo waited patiently in his position.
He was camouflaged a bit by rocks but camouflage didn't really matter at the moment, once the sniper shots started ringing they probably would be able to figure out that Leo was shooting at them within minutes, if not even seconds.
Leo took out the radio and turned it on.
"Hawk to Eleven, I am in position."
After a few seconds he got a reply.
"Eleven to Hawk, copy. en route now."
Leo's heart started beating faster as the dreaded moment approached, he had to take out six highly trained agents.
Leo once again inspected the rifle and slowly started getting the hang of its mechanics.
After playing around with the rifle a bit longer the radio crackled again.
"Eleven to Hawk, can you see us?" spoke Eleven.
Leo looked down the sight of his rifle around the village before spotting Eleven and his group.
They were about to arrive at the village and had their guns in a at ease position.
Leo thought about the groups plan again.
"Round up all the villagers in the center for questioning and look for their target."
Leo also thought about the promise Sogrith made to him.
"Sogrith, you better fucking keep your promise and keep the village safe and give me my reward once I am done here." thought Leo.
Sogrith didn't respond.
Finally Eleven's group made their move and slowly started moving all the villagers to the center.
Leo spotted Yasha and Poppy through the sight of his weapon as he took aim.
His wound was aching, causing him to breathe heavily.
It was weird for him to think that his wound wasn't visible, but the pain still remained as there was a wound.
Leo tried to calm his breath as much as he could before slowly moving the barrel of the weapon to the head of operative One, who as keeping watch of the villagers.
Leo took one last deep breath before he pulled the trigger.
The shot wasn't too loud since his weapon was suppressed.
Leo kept watch through the sight of his weapon as he saw operative One's body fold in a inhuman way before dropping to the ground, bleeding from his head.
Leo quickly unchambered the bullet and loaded in another one while he picked up the radio.
"Hawk to all, unidentified shooter from the west, taking a look now if I can spot him, take cover and make sure that west is covered." said Leo in the radio before taking aim through his rifle again.
His heart was beating heavily as the radio continued buzzing.
"The fuck is happening Hawk!?! Get that fucker!" said Eleven through the radio right as Leo released another shot.
The shot this time hit operative Three through the head, also killing him instantly.
When the third shot was fired it finally clicked with Eleven as he yelled to his remaining operatives.
"Hawk is firing upon us! Take cover!"
However, it was already too late as Leo had fired another shot, hitting operative Two in the stomach.
Leo clicked his tongue upon not killing operative Two instantly as he moved to cover.
Leo chambered one more bolt and quickly fired it towards Doc, but the bullet missed.
Leo didn't waste any time as he got up from his position and made his way to the village, making sure to flank it a bit.
The reason he was moving in was because of time, he didn't want Eleven to call in reinforcements.
Leo left his rifle behind as it wouldn't be of much in close quarters combat and would only get in his way, only bringing his pistol.
After sneaking into the village from a different angle, he spotted operative Four off guard,
Leo didn't waste the change and pointed his handgun toward him and pulling the trigger four times.
Only two bullets actually hit him, one in the torso and one in the arm.
Leo wasn't quite sure if the torso shot would be lethal in the end so he chased down operative four.
However, when Leo rounded the corner he was quickly forced to retreat as he started getting shot at by Eleven and Four.
"You aren't Hawk, are you!?"
