Chapter 1: My sinful self
how did I get here? I think at the last moments of my life.
I am a captain of the special forces of the Mafia as such I have been doing a lot of dirty jobs like assassination, bribing, and had taking violence against all kinds of people from minors to rival Mafias.
It isn't like I wanted a life like this, my dream as a kid was to be a hero, someone who saves another even though thing like a hero doesn't exist in the world I would have been if I could work in jobs that can help the weak such as a lawyer who protects the injustice that done to poor or a doctor who can save people's life.
but all of those are just dream because the reality is just too cruel.
I have born into a poor family, my parents didn't have proper education so they couldn't get a job with a proper salary.
but still, they did their best to give us a better life than theirs.
So thanks to them I and my little sister, Jessica, had lived a normal life, went to school, played with friends like normal kids.
until that day when dad bankrupt and lost his business as result the people who he own money came for the money but we didn't have any money.
I and my sister eventually left school and stayed at home.
every time the loan sharks came and hit my dad intel he couldn't stand, he tried to cover it up and tell us it is alright.
he always told us to hide when people come.
but one time they came in to search for money and they found us I still remember that moment.
Flashback begins
"you have a good daughter here, she is still young but she could be sold for a good price," they said as they try to take my sister.
"Don't touch my sister"!!
"Shut up shitty kid" hit my face and sending fly.
"Brother! Are you okay?" My sister come quickly to help me.
"Please leave my children " my dad begged them.
"Shut up". One of the loan sharks punched my dad.
"Ahh"
"Stop it" my crying sister screamed
"If you want to take me then take me but please stop hurting my family!"
"What are you saying, Jessica? You can't go with them no matter what daddy will protect you all"
He suddenly pulls a gun out of his pocket shooting at the loan sharks.
He managed to shoot on one's leg.
The second loan shark tried to take out his gun but dad successfully shoot The hand that tried to pull out the gun.
When they were both exposed to injury Dad planned to shoot them and kill them. but suddenly a tall, muscular man appeared behind him and made him faint.
"Boss thanks for the help you really saved us".
We looked at my father lying on the floor.
I and my sister were shaking out of fear when seeing our father on the floor.
But I had to protect my sister so I gathered courage and talked.
"You are their boss"?
"Yeah, I am".
"Could you stop taking money from us we don't have anything"?
"We can't do it kid your father borrowed a lot of money from us he has to return it unless I want to die"
For the safety and the happiness of my family, I gathered my courage again and asked.
"What if you could sell me"?
"What"?! The boss was surprised without a belief who would ask to be sold to another person as if you were an object in this modern society that values human life so much.
"Brother what are talking about stop it"! My sister crying on my shoulder but I ignore her and continue.
"People life's in this modern era are extremely valuable and because selling people is forbidden those who do it risk great risk of being caught but in return, they gain great profit so if you could sell me to some rich pervert or to some lab to experiment on me".
"Brother please, please stop I will go instead-- she continues crying and holding me tight so I won't go but her crying and words make my resolution weaker so I looked at her and slap her on her face.
Pphh my sister stop crying and was shocked I shaped her. Her kind brother who she loves so much had hit her so hard.
"Kid are you serious"? The boss looks at me with a serious face.
"Yes". I answer him with the calmest confident voice I can make.
But inside of me, I could not be more scared after all I do not want to leave my family and be sold to people who are sure to abuse me.
But what will I do if I do nothing? My family will continue to suffer and in addition, I can not let them take my sister because I know what they will do to a beautiful girl like her.
I must save my family as one of the heroes I adored I will sacrifice myself so they can achieve the happiness we lost.
"Okay, kid I agree to sell you to pay up your father's debt".
"Boss are you serious"?!
"Yes, this is my final decision I take this kid you will take Jon to hospital".
"Okay boss". He comes to take me.
"Boss, can I write a letter for my family"?
"Yes". He gave me pen and paper and I wrote them a farewell and asked them to be happy and that they shouldn't retain their negative feelings such as regret or hatred, I just wanted them to be happy and I wouldn't forgive them if they won't be happy.
I finished writing the letter start to go with them.
"Brother"! My sister came to her senses crying.
"Don't leave me"!
"Jessica take care of mom and dad and be happy ". I say to her goodbye.
Flashback end.
This is the last time I saw any of them.
In the end, I was sold to a fishy laboratory as an experiment subject.
From that point I have lived in a living hell, My body is getting tainted, living in a closed cell, eating shitting food...
When I became 15 years old I just couldn't endure it and I managed to burn the whole laboratory down making all information to be lost forever.
At that time all I wanted is to meet my family again so I survived for months intel I returned to my hometown.
But nothing was left there, the people who invested in that experiment burned it as revenge for me ruining their plans.
Filled with hate and despair I run away, as the time passed I learned to live in the street.
After some time I have been steeled myself I have met that man.
He was an old man wearing a hat long jacket.
I tried to steal from him but I had beaten up.
But I didn't give up my heart full of passion to live and hatred to continue and carry out my revenge.
The old man who beaten me up.
"Little kid I like your eyes even though you are facing someone stronger than you, you still face them with such killing intent".
"kid, would you like to be my successor"?
"What!"? I said with a quiet voice filled with extreme rage and confusion.
"I offer you a way out from those streets I will teach you a way to survive"
so what would you do"?
"Take me with you".
"Well done".
From that day I have learned from that man how to survive and work as an assassin.
10 years after he had taken me in the old man died from cancer in the liver.
I continue to live as an assassin because I didn't know another way to live after a while I joined one of the biggest mafia special forces.
After working doing dirty things for the mafia, my heart was hurt because I had to hurt another and make another experience the same as me.
Even though I didn't want to do it but I didn't know another way to live also I had to fulfill my revenge.
The thing that made easy to my life was watching anime.
Heroes who never give up on doing the right thing, people who had fallen to the evil path but could still find a way to the right path.
And everything always has a happy or satisfying ending.
Those stories had filled my heart.
When I finally obtained the information about the killer of my family and I killed them all.
Also, the shark loans made my family miserable.
After that, I have worked and saved up money to retire early in my life.
But it was all for nothing because the boss of the Mafia planned to kill me because of the influence and popularity I had in the Mafia risked his position.
As a sinner who did all kinds of bad things suppose I can't go to heaven.
At least I wish I won't go to hell and have a better life where I can atone for what I did in my life.
An emptiness inside me grows up as I fade and finally die.
