"Good work out there, Harry. What do we do with Sirius now? Do we take him to St. Mungo's?" Remus approached Harry as he was carrying the dazed Sirius in a wheelchair.
"Nope, we'll bring him to my apartment. Its safe and I have the necessary equipment there to bring him back to peak condition. I'll have a house elf stay by his side when we go to Hogwarts. Don't worry, the elf knows how to operate the equipment." Harry assured Remus who took over the wheelchair and pushed Sirius.
.
Soon, Sirius was placed safely and comfortably on a medical bed in Harry's apartment and a few modern medical equipment was set up around him.
Numerous wires and tubes were attached to the haggard looking man, with colourful liquids hung in IV bags.
"He'll wake up in an hour or so. The potion will need to be given every 2 hours. I'll do it today, but the elf will have to continue with the treatment." Harry explained to Remus, who stood worriedly next to Sirius.
Harry left the man's side and went about arranging and setting a few medical equipment up in another room.
Soon, an hour passed, and Sirius stirred awake.
"ugh…Where am i?" Sirius asked groggily.
"Padfoot!!! You're awake." Remus leapt from a chair nearby and approached Sirius.
"Mooney. What happened? What is this place?" With difficulty, Sirius asked in a whisper.
"Don't worry Padfoot. We are in London. We were just at your trial. The Veritaserum knocked you out a while ago. You are now a free man!!" Remus exclaimed as he squeezed the sickly-looking man.
"What?? I got a trial. I'm free??" Sirius asked in disbelief as his eyes turned misty and his voice broke.
"Yeah. Harry got you a fair trial. They even caught Peter. He has worse days ahead." Remus continued to squeeze his hand.
"What? Harry did? Our Harry?" Sirius asked in disbelief.
"Yes. Prongs' kid. He's grown to be a fine young man." Remus explained.
"Hey Padfoot. You look like you have seen better days." Harry approached the bed and called out.
"Haha. That's an understatement of the century. How are you, pup. You look so much like prongs." Sirius turned his head to get a clear view of Harry's face and laughed.
"Look at you. Its like looking at James all over again. But those eyes, those are all Lily's." Sirius continued as he raised his hand and palmed harry's face.
"rest up Padfoot. You should be able to move around in a few more hours. The potions are doing a great job so far. Now sleep, I'll wake you up in a few, alright." Harry took Sirius's hand in his own and increased the dose of a sedative connected to the IV tube.
"He's got Lily's attitude." Sirius laughed groggily as the sedative entered his system and knocked him out.
"thank you, Harry." Remus whispered as he saw Sirius fall asleep.
"He's my uncle. Cant just leave he rotting in Azkaban for something he didn't do, right. Now, go and rest as well. It was a long day and you must be tired. I have something to do, so ill head out now. If something happens, just call me, the phone's in the kitchen." Harry pointed to a small brick sitting on the kitchen counter as he left the apartment.
.
Harry walked down the street and headed towards the Ministry. Walking straight inside towards the DMLE, Harry approached the head office.
KNOCK Knock.
"Come in." A stern voice sounded.
"Afternoon, Madam Bones." Harry walked inside and greeted the blonde haired witch.
"Harry! I was expecting you. I just have to say. You have been a tremendous help to us for the past week. We were able to interrogate Pettigrew and he sang like a bird.
And those trinkets you gave us, oh, man those were divine. You have to provide our department with some more. They literally saved our lives today." Amelia, seeing the young boy started rambling, ignoring her usual stern state.
"Well, I'm glad those barrier charms helped. I'm still perfecting them to be able to handle more than 3 hits at the moment. I'll see what I can do in a few months.
Now, did you get the list of names from Pettigrew." Harry asked.
"Yeah, there were a lot. He had a lot of high level knowledge from following Voldemort around. Every person that kissed his ass was listed by Pettigrew. However the list was still empty.
We have a lot of people that claim to have been under Imperio and got the dark mark but weren't listed by Peter. It seems the rat wasn't always with his master." Amelia sighed.
"But at least you got him to confess about the nature about the dark mark. You can pull in a lot of people and put them on trial. This time you even have solid proof that you lacked previously for those that refused to be put under Veritaserum. This time, they wont be able to refuse the serum." Harry grabbed a seat opposite Amelia and responded.
"Yeah. But its going to be hard.
The names he listed off were some very high-profile people. Most of them would be able to buy their way out." Amelia sighed.
"Not if somehow the news gets out about the trial today. Someone accidently might have overheard about the claims Peter made under the effects of the serum. Imagine the chaos the people that carry the mark would be under.
They all got off under the imperious defence. Let them be shunned by society. Corner them, and then nab em." Harry chuckled evilly.
"Don't forget, a cornered prey is the most dangerous. Once someone is desperate enough, they will resort to any means possible." Amelia warned.
"And that is what we want. They'll be pushed into a corner over the course of a year. By this day two years from now, they wont even exist." Harry smiled evilly as Amelia scooted away uncomfortably.
"I hope your plan works, Harry. I trust in your plan, but if anything goes off the rails, I'll haul every ass on the list to Azkaban, at all costs." Amelia coughed to get Harry's attention and declared fiercely.
"Yeah, the plan will not go off the rails. Trust me. It will work. My plans always do. Sirius's case is the perfect example." Harry reassured the Head of DMLE.
"How is Sirius by the way. I heard he was put under a private medical aid." She asked.
"He's fine. He'll be able to move around the house by tonight. But the years of trauma on his mind and body will need at least a year to heal. He'll be up and about by next year." Harry promised.
"Well, I should get going. Keep your people safe and keep an eye on those around you, report anything that's suspicious. I'll have my guys check into it." Harry exited the office and headed out.
"You don't have to tell me." She whispered as she went back to checking her documents and signing papers.
