Chapter 24
The first aid kit was given by one of the guards while Jamie is waiting for his brother to come. He only told him to come as soon as possible and drop the call after. His clothes have blood in them though his head is already fixed but not thoroughly. He still needs a doctor to fix it and Jamie wanted to leave the premises and run to the hospital! He hates getting hurt, his handsome face is already beaten up if his dizziness arises Jamie will kill Hanako himself.
The door opens with two more guards guarding Jamie while he is busy fixing his wound. Fucking hurt! He saw Kun coming in while Gino only frowned when he saw Jamie's face.
"Hello to you brother, you see what happens when you leave me out of your sight," Jamie muttered, still angry that he looks like shit.
"I heard what happened." Kun gazed at his blooded head and his crumpled clothes. Not much of his reactions but Jamie doesn't care about it.
"Here. This place is fucked up." Jamie gives him the printed records of how Hanako uses her coupon to infiltrate the club and how the Virgo gang played cards well under Dragon's watch or maybe not because they only see it now.
Gino came to Jamie's surprise. He took the cotton from his trembling hand and checked the wound. Jamie's empty gaze remained at the level of Gino's torso, not saying anything and letting his brother's assistant inspect his head.
"I'll bring you to the hospital," Gino said softly while Kun still checked the paper's veins popping to his pale arm.
"I leave you here so she will feel watched and not try anything stupid but I guess it only infuriates her more," Kun said after a moment.
Jamie sighed and finally looked at his brother. "She was jealous and disillusioned. The guards put her in the basement and whatever. I'm dizzy. I wanted to kill her if I saw her more." Jamie mumbled but Gino is already holding him and if Jamie lets the older man lift him, of course, he has a bigger pride. He will walk on his feet and fucking let his brother deal with that nut case.
Gino helped him to the car and ignored Kun at the office. He doesn't care about whatever they wanted to do with Hanako but Jamie's job is done. He will let the doctor fix his head and he will rest in the jacuzzi in his room and ignore most of Kun's inquiries because he had enough for the day.
It happened the way Jamie wanted his day. They went to the doctor and he was left in the hospital because Gino was needed by Kun to fix things whatever they might be. Also, the doctor said that Jamie needed to be observed for 24 hours because he was hit by the head to make sure there are no complications. Gino made sure he was fine when he left him. Not asking him questions because he knew that Jamie is not in the mood for their bullshits.
He was staying in the VIP room. It was a cozy room if Jamie asked, completely set up with a mini refrigerator, large tv, long sofa, and also a luxury bathroom. Jamie is satisfied and his pink cheeks show how much he was pleased with his current room.
Yesterday's day comes in a blur when Jamie came back to the hotel. He is feeling good though his wound is hurting him from time to time the pain killer serves its purpose. Kun never told him what happened to Hanako but his indifference says that it was not good. They met at breakfast which surprised Jamie.
Gino came to his room and asked him to meet his brother. They were at the restaurant while no one other than guards, Kun, Gino, and Jamie was at the table. He knew better than this was supposed to be a private meeting.
Jamie is eating quietly, he didn't meet their gaze but Kun coughed, and Jamie took it as a cue that his brother needs his attention.
"Hanako is dead." He said in a cold voice. Jamie drinks his juice because no matter how evil she was Jamie still pitied the girl.
"I will not ask you what your ways are to gather all those records but it helps a lot." Jamie can see the awkward tone of Kun but he ignored it. Focus on the expression of his cold brother.
"I hope you also realized that the business is doing good and it profits the Dragon but the girls are getting sold and not long when rumors will travel and it will affect you," Jamie said, not concerned about the Dragon but the girls that were sold and maybe help them in a process.
"I already penalized the Virgo gang's business. They can't sell or transact in our territory but I think it was not enough. I want to eliminate them." Jamie got goosebumps at Kun's straightforwardness. He knew he was cruel or let's say, being an heir forced you to be cold-blooded.
"Touching a Kim also got their fate," Kun says, in a firm voice but not enough to break Jamie's stone face.
"Well, it's up to you brother. I have no say in this because I don't even know why the fuck I am with you." Jamie scoffs, totally bumming his appetite. He is no longer enjoying the food.
"Father must see you as useful," Kun said but Jamie didn't retort.
"I postponed the meetings because you need to recover. I will handle the Virgo gang. Make sure you are okay enough to attend another meeting. Rest today." Kun said dismissing him as they stood up and exited the restaurant. Jamie let out a tired exhalation before slumping in his seat.
He didn't know what to do anymore. He doesn't want to be part of this mafia thing especially now that he already tasted how terrible an amateur is to be in this world. He has no people to protect him and if Jamie will, unfortunately, be part of the stride, he needs people. People who will be directly under his command who are loyal and will never betray him.
Because this is his second life and fucking it up is never in his genius mind. If only they let him go and let him make a name away from shits. Nevertheless, Jamie is not fun being in a subordinate position. His pride will never take it, maybe in the scientific case, that he will die following orders rather than his post-trauma with knives or his little panic attack at the sight of blood.
Jamie bit his lips, he stood up and ignored the guards following him. Kun dared to put guards on him after he almost died in the woman's hands. The employees are also bowing when Jamie walks on them and for the first time in his narcissistic life...
He hated being part of the hierarchy.
