Chapter 222: A Goal Fulfilled

Ephraim and Samuel spent their time around Patriarge, watching the townsfolk rebuild their redeemed country. There were no slaves at sight, and Ephraim felt like this was such a huge step towards innovation in history. Him, being an archaeologist, was watching history in another world unfold. Something that is significant and will pass down as a remarkable era in history is now happening. This was the joy of being in the past.

"Amazing, right?" Samuel said.

They were now sitting in one of the benches that faced the sea. There were many children out playing now as the people rebuild the town. Everything seemed to be brighter, livelier, fuller.

"If only Yael were here to see this," Samuel whispered to himself as he watches the sun set into the horizon. The sky was tinge red and orange with the hint of pink and purple. The sea was reflecting the skies, creating an ethereal feel.

Ephraim smiled. "I'm sure he's watching somewhere."
