Chapter 7: New Routine

*Yuuki POV*
Because of what happened yesterday, a lot of things have changed in my daily life.
I guard the camp early in the morning while Asuka is sleeping on my lap. I don't know why she prefers to sleep on my lap but I don't regret letting her.
At this time, Necros will train mana control and proper mana usage and Lynn-san will be spectating us.
I was guarding the camp when I suddenly felt mana behind the trees and in the sky.
I lay Asuka's head gently on the thatch pillow that I made and stood up.
I used Advanced Dark Spell: Shadow Disguise which coats me in shadow so that I can blend in the darkness. Then I jump up the tree, gently.
I need to be as quiet as possible so that the Spell will not be canceled. Once It's canceled, the monsters will notice me and Asuka's life will be in danger and I don't want that to happen.
I used Original Basic Spell: Drown on both enemies. This spell is one of the many spells I've created. Drown, just like it sounds, makes the enemies drown by covering their heads in the water.
So, after I've used Drown, one opponent fell from the sky and the other one lost consciousness. It looks like they were succubuses. The other one is in their bat form to fly and the other one is used to lure me deep into the forest.
I got back in front of the campfire after the situation was sorted and I go back to guarding the camp. I made a sound when I sat down but it shouldn't wake Asuka up.
But all of the sudden, Asuka woke up and stared at me with half-asleep eyes.
I looked at her with a startled expression then she crawled to me and slept soundly on my lap.
When I'm the one guarding, I would just poke Asuka's cheeks. She sometimes wakes up and smiles really shyly.
I don't need to watch anime nor read manga because I've already finished all the animes and mangas that I watch or read.
We will train inside the consciousness until it gets to 6:00. When it gets to 6:00, I would wake Asuka up and then cook breakfast. Sometimes, Asuka helps us out which makes things faster.
Today, our breakfast would be banana bread pancakes. I can't make normal pancakes because I still don't have flour and baking soda.
I cooked the Banana Bread Pancake probably in 45-50 minutes in total...? Then we ate the pancakes that I made on the picnic table that I made using Earth Magic.
After Asuka took a bite, she asked, "Ooh~ this thing is very delicious. What is this?"
Then I answered, "It's called banana bread pancake with blueberry syrup.
The banana bread pancake really has a fresh and sweet taste of banana in it.
The thing you call blueberry syrup is sweet but not overly sweet with a bit of acid."
["I agree with her. Why didn't you cook this in the mansion?"]
["Well, I didn't know this world has blueberries in it. I just found out today."]
Part 2
After we finished eating, we packed our really heavy tents.
"Wait, Asuka. I want to read something real quick. Could you please give me 15 minutes?"
"Yeah, sure"
I remembered that I brought along a grimoire for space magic with me.
I memorized the chant and mastered it within 8 minutes.
The chant is "Open, expand and keep! Inventory."
But I can do it with chantless magic.
I said that it would take 15 minutes but I finished it at 8.
"So, what did you read?"
"A grimoire."
"Ohh~ you had a grimoire."
"What spell did you learn?"
"Space magic or sometimes called Storage Magic."
"Space magic?? I thought that space magic is lost magic??"
"Well, someone left me a great gift. It was from a descendant that wanted a boy that is great with magic to inherit his magic."
"Who??"
"I won't tell you~. He said I can't tell anybody his name."
"Fine..."
I used Inventory to store all of our things and found something really interesting within my luggage. I saw my red trench coat.
I put on my black combat vest with straps on the torso and abdomen and a red trench coat with the sleeve a little above the wrist.
Wow... that looks good on you.
["It suits you well, Sir."]
Necros suddenly asked, ["What's with that outfit? Are you going to kill someone??"]
["You idiot I'm not gonna kill someone. But I guess I have someone that I would like to kill..."]
I slowly looked at Necros and he slowly turned away too.
["Pl-please don't kill me..."]
["Haha! Don't worry I won't kill you. At least I'm not gonna kill you unless you do something stupid that might put our lives in danger."]
["I'll make sure to never do that in my entire life."]
I gave him a doubtful look in the face.
["What? You're not gonna believe me?"]
["That's why I am training you. To prepare you for what's coming after you get your own body."]
["You have learned a lot about magic and it is now time for you to learn common sense and logic. If you have learned about common sense and logic, you might even get the love of your life."]
["Now I'm getting excited."]
["But I'll teach you that at night. If you want to sulk, just sulk there in the corner. If you don't want to sulk, you are free to sit there to observe me and take notes on the topic of love."]
(Though I don't have much experience in love, I can use the power of common sense and logic.)
I looked at my left side and asked,
"Wanna hold hands?"
Just like last time, the sound of a train can be heard from Asuka and her face is beet red.
"Ye-yeah of course. But why all of the sudden?"
"I don't know. It felt like the right mood to ask. Plus, I've never held a hand before so it's a first-time experience. It's also to confirm if you like me or not."
We held hands the whole time we were walking.
Meanwhile: Necros is looking at us while his nose was continuously bleeding...
