Chapter 1: Introduction
Harp Smith suspected something was a little off when her intuitive mother tried to sniff her when she was just six years old. Nevertheless, she lived a relatively normal life among other humans.
It wasn't until she bumped into the devilishly forgetful vampire, Hailey Wills, that her life finally began to make sense.
However, Hailey proved to be gracious and seemed to have an unhealthy obsession with sleeping. Harp soon learnt that Hailey had taken an oath never to bite a human being.
When Harp's intuitive mother is injured in a hit and run accident, Harp realises her own life is at risk.
Despite Hailey's dangerous sword and pale skin, Harp finds herself falling for the vampire. Only fate will decided whether she kills or protects her.
One night, a fairy appears before Harp and warns her of a darkness within Hailey. The fairy gives Harp the ripped arrow - the only weapon that can defeat a forgetful vampire.
Will Harp find it in herself to kill the only creature who has ever made her feel truly on edge?
