The creature was proud of himself. He found his creator. But now that he saw the being up close, he was disappointed.

The creature turned his gaze to the table with the knife and the human heart. His creator angled his body to block his view. The creature didn't tell him that he'd been watching from the shadows as he failed to work his magic. The man with the golden eyes wouldn't have failed.
