Rowan's mouth fell open as he stared at Wren. He wasn't sure whether he should be annoyed or just dumbstruck.

The man was seriously standing there after covering him with almost as many love bites as he had freckles, demanding proof like Rowan was on trial for committing a crime?

Wren folded his arms across his chest as he waited for a response.

Rowan closed his eyes for a moment so he wouldn't have to look at the obstinate expression on his face. When he heard the telltale tap, tap, tap, of Wren's boot on the floor, Rowan took a deep breath and reminded himself that patience was the only acceptable emotion right now.
