Soul Eater

Sylvia Jadis, a telepathic witch found herself in the care of the Witches' Monarch and her close ally, Mateo, after the killing of her mother by slavers. Ten years have passed since then and she now finds herself at odds as Mateo is killed for the betrayal of their queen. She must now decide who to trust and who to believe.
