The Fang of Appolonus and A Flower of Menersmia

What happens when a flower bloomed under the Moonlight is required to bond with the roaring fang of the blazing sun? Would it wither before the glaring flames or learn to bloom even more magnificently under the warmer light? Especially under the threat of a more sinister looming force that could swallow everything in it's path.
