/ Action / The Killer Instinct
Synopsis
Fifty years ago, in 1987, scientists from several different countries and backgrounds came together to develop a drug known as [REDACTED].
This drug could only be used on humans between the ages of one to three years old. The effect of the drug is different per human, but the general effect is that those who are treated with it will gain inhuman abilities, each of which differentiate by the person.
Because of the age requirement, governments around the world payed billions to create child breeding camps, in which volunteers would become pregnant and then have their babies taken upon birth, never to be seen again. The mothers were payed good money and went back to their daily lives. Eventually, ethics committees came to the agreement that this was less than ethical, ruling all child breeding camps illegal.
However, this was not near enough to stop the greed of the governments, who instead began to pay mothers at hospitals to give their babies over. While slower, the amount of super-powered individuals significantly increased.
Now, fifty years later, almost every major country in the world has a special military division dedicated to children born with powers.
Members of the military are even old enough to have kids, which is heavily encouraged by the government.
That's exactly where my problems began.

Shameless self review incoming.Yes, this is a 5 star author review. Yes, you should read my novel. Each chapter comes with a basic premise introduced through a word being defined at the start of the chapter, and most sit around 1400-1800 words. The story is a little dark, but it is a very good action story and is easy to read. Please leave a review if you enjoy the story, it helps grow the novel and means a lot to me.
