The Market

It's the year 1952, the Cold War has everyone in a frenzy. The Cold War has everyone's attention that they don't see what was happening in the shadows. Vampires are influtraiting the government to keep an underground blood market away from the eyes of the public. There is an inner conflict within the vampire ranks. Some vampires want to stay hidden and control people from the shadows but others want to assert dominance.
There are two groups of vampires; the Bleeders and the Whispers. The Bleeders are aggressive and violent. They see humans as either livestock or potential vampires. They see the Whispers as weak and helpless. On the other hand, the Whispers are passive and want the blood market to be built on trust and consent. They don't like to draw attention to themselves and only feed when necessary.

The story follows a humble barber named Montgomery "Monty" Levey. His life is pretty average but one night he's attacked by a Bleeder and a Whisper turns him into a vampire to save his life. Monty learns the ways of the Whispers and learns to navigate the blood market.
