Chapter 28: Battle On Maruru Islands (1) Edited
(A/N): This is an edited version with a few changes here and there.

The island was filled with greenery, you could see trees everywhere and these trees are like palm trees but also have creepers all around the palm trees and from these creepers one of the Islands delicious fruits are born. The Maruru fruit looked like a melon, but with a deep blue and yellow when it hadn't ripened yet. The next thing which makes the Maruru Islands unique is because these fruits can only grow on the islands named under Maruru. Maruru islands are a cluster of 20 islands each island big enough to build 20,000 - 4 BHK flats and that's just individual houses. But these islands weren't used for anything of that's sort of purpose and out of 20 islands 15 of them are prisons, and 5 of them are natural islands. The prisoners who are in prisons harvest the Maruru fruits and everyone are set with a slave collar so they don't run away or eat the fruits but only cultivate them.
Infinite [P.O.V]-
' Well we are waiting for the ' Emperors ' ship here for more than 4 hours and they haven't come to these islands but reports say that they should have been here 2 hours ago, something doesn't add up my gut tells me they are already Infront of us '
" Issho-san for some reason, I fee- "
" They are Infront of you right, well their ship is close to the shore and all the members on board will get down in 5 minutes at max " Issho-san cut my sentence, ' Hey Issho don't you know it is rude but well... you are my friend so I don't think it matters '
Smoker who was near me was kind of tensed and cried out " Everyone gets ready we have to stall them for 4 hours with all we got " ' For God's sake Smokey don't cry out loud for my ears sake alright ...tch '
Hina " Well we can see them now, it seems that only the ship has that power, I mean to turn invisible ".
' I could see almost 150+ members go for a round of figure of 200 and they were walking as if they own everything in here, well this irks me I will kill them for showing such an attitude, well never mind they are pirates after all. Though I still don't understand how I was interested in them. I hated injustice to the core but why do I feel like the first main mission was set by myself, huh... it feels strange, Oh well I will think about it later. '
" No way! , there are ' Dart Pirates' crew members among the union of those 100 pirates and one of the dangerous groups known for cruelty are here, anyone who hears a laugh will be dead " A scared trainee broke out and few followed him but I noticed one common name ' Drat Pirates '. I was curious and turned towards Hina and it seemed like she knew what I was thinking, so she pulled out a cigarette and lighting it took a deep huff, " They are an infamous group of pirates it is said that when anyone hears a laugh they will die, and it was also confirmed by the intelligence so we have to be careful and it's not known if it's a devil fruit or something like your energy well your energy is different and according to 'Fleet Admiral ' no one has ever heard of such a thing called chakra ".
' Is this time to speak about this stuff ??? I mean we are fighting some dangerous pirates who have made an alliance or joined the 'Emperor' we are facing and she might be after us and more probably on me. Well I should have had backup support but I have none and I do know the marines aren't that good as they seem *sigh* and for 'Emperors' I would be a cannon fodder '
I was excited to fight strong foes and tense at the same time as the enemies are powerful and would have high skills. ' thinking about skills ... I haven't used my skill extractor in a long time, I will use mine on Issho-san, though he is blind which I knew, but still able to see things a normal human can't see, I mean he could ...The hell why am I thinking this stuff, there is gonna be a war in a few minutes *sigh*, I am getting overconfident '
I immediately activated my Sharingan, generally, a 2tomoe Sharingan can see the chakra network of a person though not as accurate as a regular 'Byakugan' but still similar but a de-amped version of it, the 3 tomoe was an upgraded version of 2 tomoe so every single thing a 2 tomoe can do can also be done by 3 tomoe but on a higher scale, though it is a piece of general knowledge.
Imbuing lightning nature chakra into my Kusanagi I dashed forward towards Smokey as I could see a slim but thick blurred person body with daggers who was going to stab Smokey and thing was the assassin was right in front of Smokey, many trainees who saw me dashing towards their Captain was gobsmacked as they saw me a mercenary who was attacking their captain and they must have thought I sold them out or I was bought by the 'Emperor', their faces were something maniacs take pleasure in but not me, so me wanting to finis this assassin ASAP, I activated ' Lightning Style: Lightning Chakra Mode ' though I haven't used this one much after I have 80% Lightning nature mastery it was easy to master but still not on a level at 'Raikage' and I can even bet my whole chakra reserve that this B-rank jutsu is the hardest to master and if a person ahs high chakra control they can use it relatively easily and I was also one of the few people who has a high chakra control. The main problem comes from concentrating on the chakra flow in my outer body as even a single mistake can paralyze me for a second and I don't want that now and that to while fighting an 'Emperor' or her crew.
I could see Smokey showing a face of distrust as he saw me a friend who he made himself was rushing towards him with blinding speed, and I could say I was oozing out bloodlust and this made the assassin in front of Smokey stop and look towards me, though I couldn't see his face but I can tell that he smirked at seeing a member who was a traitor and that to help them. But the truth was far from it after I reached in front of Smokey I sidestepped towards the assassin at the last moment and slashed my sword towards his upper torso but it seems assassin's instincts kicked in and bend his body inhumanly but I changed my swod trajectory and slashed his abdomen and at the last moment, I released the flowing lightning nature chakra while slashing and I am pretty sure he is wounded. I also could see his energy network was green in colour so I am pretty sure he is a 'Zoan ' user, but what could it be?
My curiosity was soon answered, the devil fruit must be fruit that turns a person into a chameleon and it was best in an assassination but I can see its drawbacks less physical strength defence and speed not known and this is my analysis from the user. I could see the disbelief in the assassin's eyes and he was trying to move his body but it wasn't responding and one can see his muscles twitching and I was kinda surprised, it seems the chameleon was forcing his energy into his heart or that's what I could see with my Sharingan so I deduced it as he exchanging his life for escaping the enemies home. Well I gave him a quick death but slashing my Kusanagi into his throat, his voice was kinda creepy and this voice seems to alert a particular group who I can easily recognise as the strongest among the 180 members. The ' Dart Pirates ' so I connected the dots and what I can tell is that the assassin always toys with his enemies, by saying words or screaming at his target and kill them.
' I can tell that Issho-san knew about this but didn't tell us thus he must have known I would come forward ... But the question is how, did he see the future ??? could this be his gift? Well I will ask him after this battle '
I didn't forget to use my ' Devil Fruit Sucking skill'

' Don't know why but it seems I crave them but don't want to eat them? Why though it is like an addiction like how in my previous world people spend money just to get an action figure ... well it figures it out '
Trainees and other marine Commodore's and another captain seeing the great me was still on the side of took a deep breath and I can understand their reason as having a skilled enemy in the middle of your home is way worse than having a skilled enemy a bit far away. Everyone hates when their enemies make an example showing 'pig eating tiger' which even I would hate though I haven't faced them I am sure I would hate them.
I could see an 8 feet burly man staring straight at me and it was his bad luck to do so as he did he fell into one of my new powerful 'Genjutsus' ' Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique ' this technique makes a person deceive his surroundings and the surroundings illusions depends on the caster and his experience since I am still inexperienced it didn't affect the burly guy much but he started losing his balance. Though an experienced caster can make his opponent attack his allies/subordinates or even himself I still ain't that experienced as the 'Genjustus' I know out of the things which don't use sharingan are just a few. Thus I practise 'Genjutsu' so that I can take out an opponent off-guard. The illusion I tried to create was the burly man surrounded by his enemies but it didn't work but I did consume my Chakra, thus having the opportunity I cast the same 'Genjutsu' but this time I affected his equilibrium, meaning? I affected his ear nerves as it is important for us to be stable or else we can't even stand properly.
The burly man who started behaving like he turned into a worm, and it seems I haven't damaged him in the correct way but in a different way, and his allies seeing the burly man in such a condition didn't know what to say a few helped him but the ones helped him seem to be strong, thus I predicted him being 'Dart Pirates' captain. Seeing the strongest out of the current showing weakness all the lower marines morale boosted and he front positioned marines war cried as they were almost under attack by the enemies. Seeing this my adrenaline rush was so crazy high that I dashed as if I was a battle maniac which I wasn't 'Am I becoming a battle maniac?'
It seems I hurt some pirates pride seeing their enemy rush forward from the backlines and that too without fear or that's what it felt to me so I just gave them a wide grin which seemed to add fuel to fire in this case their pride being the flame. I stored my Kusanagi in my inventory and switched it with my dual black swords, though both look black, they aren't... well let's leave it for later. A pirate with a single-sided blade rushed forward and it was a katana and it wasn't the ones like Issho-san said a ' meito ' seeing they looking down upon me anger boiled in me.
I activated my ' Lightning Style; Lightning Chakra Mode ' and the boost of my speed seems to have surprised the swordsman but unlike the professionals, he didn't hide them and I kicked the soil beneath me and flipped forward and twisted my body when meeting his sword with my 'Elucidator' by my left hand and in mid-air, I saw him from topsy turvy took my lead and slashed him with my 'Night Sky sword ' for which the swordsman reverse gripped his sword and I didn't when he did that as I was concentrating on others as this swordsman wasn't much of a match in skills, power, or tactics. I slashed my 'Elucidator' which was storing kinetic energy and a vertical slashed, the swordsman blocked it but I could see his sword cracked, for which I smirked and seeing my smirk seems to have angered the lowlife, ' wait why are my personalities changing? Need to keep these new things under control ', I sent a point-blank air pressured strike which would have cut his neck in clean but he used his air pressured strike albeit weak it deflected my air pressured blade and it went for his nose and his top head was in the air and his lower head disappeared as the pressure was like a cannonball.
I stored my 'Elucidator' and only had my 'Night Sky sword' and rushed forward like the führer from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood where he gets to the top like he owns this place.
I dashed towards the nearest enemy who was like a tribesman fighting Hina and ogling at her body which I could see that even she didn't like it but her opponent was matching her and also had a devil fruit which allowed him to slip through Hina's cage and looking carefully the tribesman had oil all over his body and it was secreting more and more and it was obvious for me with my sharingan that his chakra network was in purple but also had a red mixture, in colour so Infinite rushed even faster than before and released ' Lightning Style: Chidori Nagisaki ' and this time the electricity wasn't dispersed but went in a straight line but it seems it didn't affect the tribesman as he gave the answer " You see my oil-oil fruit doesn't allow me to turn into oil but gives me to secret it infinitely and allows me to adapt and make oil which would nullify enemy attacks olololololol "
Infinite when heard this didn't know if he was a fool but he could see that in tribesman energy network there wasn't any red mixture and thus he concluded that the fruit the tribesman ate was special, it could be special paramecia or special logia, and he knew it wasn't a special logia which tended to be a mythical beast, Infinite who was behind Hina told her " Hina make a cage surrounding me and him will ya, and don't worry about hurting me ". She nods and throws away her cigarette Infinite took this as a signal and just walked forward as he already analysed the weakness using his 'Madara Battle Style (Unique) ' which helped more than ever as he took his enemies down faster than before.
The tribesman looks at me and sneers which I just smirk and it seems it has triggered his pride ' seriously these guys have too much pride to measure ' I just move forward for which he skates and tries to tackles me only for him to miss it and I can see he was visibly confused and for which he got a kick towards his kick but the tribesman shielded it with an oil shield, and it was what I want. I give cast a gift for him "Fire Style: Great Fireball ", and the tribesman visibly pales and soon gets getting burned as his body was coated by oil and he couldn't remove it in time and he died. I didn't want to see his body but collected his devil fruit.
I saw Issho-san fighting a scarfed man who also had a special fruit but he seems to be emitting something similar to chakra and so was Issho-san but I couldn't get my answer, I feel like it was something familiar and then I heard Smokey fighting another pirate. SO I rushed forward to support him, I know he was intangible but it wasn't something a person can do it easily as Smokey told me that his logia form drains his stamina for his regeneration during his logia form, and when he told me that I was wondering how much stamina Crocodile had where he was sliced so many times but only had to take few deep breaths and was on track ' he was playing with me and his pride helped me ', as I was rushing I helped few trainees as I knew Smokey can hold himself and soon 2 hours passed and the enemies currently are stronger ones.
I rushed forward towards Smokey as I see him defeated an enemy when I saw him first but now fighting another but, he was exhausted, I knew he wouldn't last so I parried a sword which was supposed to hit Smokey. The opponent was a 6 feet pale man and almost looked like a vampire but only his face wasn't handsome.
"Hello there "

" You should say 'General Kenobi ', you see "

" You kinda bore me for some odd reason "
The man just looks at me and side glances at Smokey, to which I snap my fingers to get his attention. It looked like he woke up from a daze and rushed towards with his bastard swords. And I received it willingly as the sword missed I stabbed the pale guy in the gut and kicked him away as his torso was pierced by a splinter of a tree and seems to be struggling and slowly he dies. Which was what I thought as suddenly took out a syringe and used it on himself even before I could throw shuriken and slowly the man started to glow, my instincts told me to hide and which I did as I made signs for my " Earth Style: Rock Armour " and " Earth style: Earth Wall ", and next there was an explosion. None were injured but what the explosion released was high radiation but it seemed like the radiation was being taken immediately by the earth. Infinite cleared his thoughts
" So how was your battle Smokey "
Smoker " Not bad and for the last time stop calling me Smokey " though he didn't show it outside I knew he was glad to make a friend.
But soon I sensed an attack coming towards me and Smokey for which I sidestepped, and then my head hurt and my eyes blacked out.
