When Brooke Adams hears of an upcoming surfing competition taking place but minutes from her home on the island of Oahu, she sees no choice but to enter. The winner of the competition is given a grand money prize, which could pave Brooke's way towards her dream college in Malibu. As one of the best young surfer's Hawaii has seen in years, she's determined to win.

It all seems plausible until the school-renowned player, Sean Parker, bombards his way into Brooke's life. He's charming, witty, gorgeous and treats girl's with blatant disrespect; a person Brooke has always wanted to stay away from. Everything changes when she repeatedly becomes the center of Sean's games and discovers a secret about him that leaves her reeling with intoxicating curiosity. The closer they become, the more intertwined Brooke and Sean's lives become, and the more she's left wondering how many secrets have been hidden from her all her life.
