Synopsis
When nineteen-year-old princess Ona is abducted on her way to her wedding, her betrothed, Didé scours all of Out-earth looking for her. Dragged to the highlands of Kebo that she knows about only from legends, Ona discovers that her captor is not only a hateable brute but part of an ancient brotherhood of immortal warriors, whose legendary exploits trace back to the Third Era -1300 years before Ona.
Perhaps, he is not a hateable brute all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her initial animosity towards the immortal warrior transforms into a fiery passion that puts her in a terrible position with her beloved betrothed. However, her romantic entanglements are the least of her concerns. An ancient darkness is growing, and Ona must find a way to stop it, or the world that she knows will be consumed by the Lightless Dark.

"The Witch And The Halfwit" so far follows the story of Ona, a princess kidnapped on her way to her wedding. Over the course of a few days in a new home forced on her, Ona struggles with feelings with her abductor, her betrothed and a destiny written centuries before her. **Review:** Jesse Chinedu's "The Witch And The Halfwit" is a timeless ongoing fantasy classic that captures hard passion, nail biting action, suspense and fantasy like no other. Chinedu's prose is raw and honest, and his portrayal of Ona is both poignant and relatable. The novel tackles themes of identity, innocence, and the search for meaning in a world that often seems indifferent. **Recommendation:** I highly recommend "The Witch And The Halfwit" to readers of all ages. It is a thought-provoking and emotionally resonant novel that continues to captivate readers decades after its initial publication. **Overall:** "The Witch And The Halfwit" is a powerful coming-of-age story that remains as relevant today as it was when the first chapter was first published. Chinedu's exploration of adolescence and the human condition is both timeless and unforgettable.
