Chapter 1: THE WORLD BEYOND REINCARNATION (Prologue and Ch 1)

(Author Note: This is not the end of the story... There will be more -_-)

Prologue:

Deep in a forest, due east of Hong Xi city was a person running through the forest, his actions were very peculiar, as to why they were, the story will be revealed soon.

This person's name is Zhang Xuan.

He came to a stop inside the forest after running for a few minutes, the area looked rather clean and organized but Zhang Xuan could care less. He felt great pressure as he stood there.

"Oh, the pressure! This looks like as good of a spot as any other!" He exclaimed.

"Uhhh , uhhh , eh huh??..."

"Who's there? Come out!" Zhang Xuan said to someone rustling in the bushes.

"Eh ... I, I, I am a senior of Hong Shi sect, hehe .."

"Oh Oh, please forgive me senior." Zhang Xuan answered back.

"Uhm, senior, may I ask you if this might be some of your sect's sacred grounds?" Zhang Xuan asked

The senior spoke in an earnest voice.

"Ah, Yes young fellow, this is where our sect plants our Spirit medicinal herbs.."

(Also known as spirit herbs.)

Quivering, Zhang Xuan was staring at this mysterious senior.

Suddenly cold sweat started dripping down his forehead as he stared at the wet puddle only a few feet away from his current position, inside the puddle was a blue glowing plant that was not visible before.

The senior followed Zhang Xuan's gaze and saw the blue glowing plant. Shock enveloped the senior as he recognized the plant, it was one of the sect's most treasured herbs that took more than 10 years to grow to maturity before it could be used.

The senior spoke in a serious tone. "Do you understand what you have done???"

Zhang Xuan stared at the senior with cold sweat on his forehead, he answered the senior while quivering.

" s ss senior please forgive me, I did not see that there was such a precious herb here, I was in shock and felt ill since this morning." Zhang Xuan said while trying to look convincing. ;-;...

The senior was staring at Zhang Xuan, confused he asked.

"What are you talking about?? I planted this herb myself just a few hours ago, I was going to come and feed it some spirit water."

(Spirit Water: a liquid that is rich in spiritual energy and usually benefits spirit herb growth)

Zhang Xuan stopped faking his illness and stared at the senior....-_-

The senior stared back at Zhang Xuan with a stupefied expression on his face... -_-

....

....

....

The senior asked Zhang Xuan how he managed to mature the herb before its time which would usually take around 10 years.

"Did you use some secret method?? I am willing to buy it from you for 10 000 Spirit stones..." The senior said without hesitating.

Shocked Zhang Xuan stared at the senior and muttered.

"Ten thousand spirit stones????"

Soon after recalling the scene. Zhang Xuan spoke to the senior and said that he did not use any special method.

Embarrassed Zhang Xuan said:

"Senior I just came here to relieve the pressure from my bladder...."

Shocked. The senior stared at Zhang Xuan and blurted out.

"You mean that you just took a P*SS on it!!?"

Chapter 1: The world beyond

=====================================

Our MC is Zhang Xuan.

Zhang Xuan is an 18-year-old male with Pitch Black hair and a body of an average male (that means an average amount of muscle and average strength), his eyes are an emerald-greenish color.

=====================================

"Eh?? Where am I?" Zhang Xuan said confused

He stood up and stared around him, there were strange birds in the sky and strange plants with strange animals roaming around the area.

He was standing in an open field filled with flowers of many different colors, there were trees with fruit around him and small gusts of wind would occasionally blow through his hair and cause a chilly breeze to embrace his face.

*Rustle-Rustle*

When Zhang Xuan was still in a daze a small creature stared at him with saliva dripping down from its cute little mouth. It was only when he heard rustling in the grass that he stared at the creature before him with an aloof face.

Suddenly! Memories started seeping into Zhang Xuan's consciousness and that aloof face he had earlier turned into a face filled with fear.

While he had the memories streaming into his mind the identity of the creature was revealed, it was the creature that caused the death of the fellow whose body he was inhabiting. The creature was not normal, it was something in this world that everyone called a Demon Beast.

Demon Beasts, be it a wolf, deer, or birds, were everywhere. They were much fiercer than normal creatures. With a single bite, it could kill nearly any human or animal that was not classified as a Demon Beast, but this of course would not be the case in this world, as everything alive could cultivate a mystical power that would strengthen them and allow them to do things that one would not usually deem possible.

Back to the current matter at hand, Zhang Xuan stared at the demon beast before him and could not find a solution to how he could continue living, would he die again and reincarnate once more, or would he perish and fade into nothingness?

Much to his surprise he felt some kind of energy inhabiting his entire person, he felt resentment toward the bunny-like beast before him, it was the resentment that accumulated from the previous owner of his current body.

Zhang Xuan knew that it was the owner who felt this resentment and it gave him strength as the previous owner's soul would completely dissipate by sacrificing it to give Zhang Xuan strength. As a thought came to Zhang Xuan's mind, he knew that he had to eliminate the demon bunny with his new strength.

With a surge of energy, Zhang Xuan leaped forward ready to strike the bunny. Ultimately when he reached the bunny it leaped forward to retaliate against the human attacking it, but it failed as Zhang Xuan had already ripped through its throat and within mere seconds the beast had died.

"I will be immortal in this world, do not worry. I, Zhang Xuan will make sure to take care of your body as we have become one. I am you and you are me. I will complete your uncompleted dreams." Zhang Xuan thanked the dissipating presence within him.

Soon after Zhang Xuan said those words, the presence disappeared and all the memories of his new body integrated into his mind. He was now able to recall everything the previous owner had gone through.

Coincidentally the owner of the body's name was also Zhang Xuan, he was the lowest ranking member in his family and had lost all his cultivation when his entire family had been eliminated. The people who had eliminated them had left Zhang Xuan in this field after crippling him and breaking his bones and ultimately he was killed by the demon bunny as he could not move or retaliate.

"Damn it! I will make you all pay!" Zhang Xuan bellowed.

"I need to calm down. I need to find a way to fix my meridians and my dantian." Zhang Xuan thought

Zhang Xuan browsed through his newly acquired memories, but he could not find a solution. The world he was in was unlike his, in this world there was no such thing as electricity and everything seemed to be medieval, there were other things that were new though. This world had spiritual energy, 'Qi' as they called it. There were many new possibilities in this world and it did not seem to be bound by the normal laws of nature.

Suddenly Zhang Xuan stood still and stared at an old-looking hole in the ground. He walked forward and found a hidden box in the hole. The hole was uncovered when Zhang Xuan leaped toward the demon bunny earlier.

"Eh? What is this?" Zhang Xuan questioned in his mind.

Could this be a treasure chest? No, it can't be it looks like a jade box with golden strokes on it, and the box was covered with weird symbols.

"Runes!?" Zhang Xuan exclaimed.

Zhang Xuan proceeded to open the box and found a scroll within it. The scroll was glowing with a faint golden light and had tints of emerald green words written on it. Besides the scroll was a handwritten note which read "To the one fated to find this scroll, I am a loose cultivator who had achieved harmony with the universe, within this scroll I had written a body cultivation technique that I spent over 150 years to create, this is but only 1 scroll of many that I had scattered and if it is fated to be, you will be able to cultivate it. May the heavens favor you on your journey. "

Intrigued, Zhang Xuan stared at the scroll after he had read the letter. He soon stared at the scroll afterward.

"Wow, this technique must surely be formidable to be able to induce such an overbearing aura! Let's have a look at its contents! " Zhang Xuan said with excitement.

Soon he had opened the scroll to view the technique within.

"Eh? What is this? Do you think this is some kind of joke!?" He stated with confusion and anger.

"Damn it! I had so much hope for this damn thing, yet it's empty! Surely there has to be something that I am missing?"

After around 5 to 10 minutes of examining the scroll, Zhang Xuan stopped and decided to sit down on the ground.

"It seems that I truly am not favored by the heavens, to think I had hope of it being some formidable technique." Zhang Xuan said with a grim smile on his face as a hint of sadness sounded through his voice.

It became dark with only very faint light that was still visible, soon after Zhang Xuan spoke.

(PS. The story gets better in chapter 3 so bear with me please.)
