The writer's male lead

"In the world of darkness, shall light prevail or fade into oblivion?"
Aiden was a typical writer, with plot holes everywhere and sticking to every male lead he created a dark past and a future glory with all greatness-a typical op male lead indeed.
So what happens if the writer experienced the dark past of the male leads for himself, then had another choice of changing the story as a canon fodder? What choices would he make then?
