The soft music and light clinking of glasses were soothing. Sound of people laughing could be heard in the five- star hotel.
Everyone was congratulating Rachel and Mason and wishing them good luck.
Rachel sat beside Mason as he helped her serve her food.
At that moment, Rachel heard someone shout her name.
"Rachel"
Rachel shifted her gaze towards the place the voice was coming from. A smile appeared on her lips when she saw her mother and Johanna. She stood up and walked towards them.
"Rachel, I heard Mason proposed to you?" Mrs beltran asked her daughter as she held her hand and looked at the ring on her finger.
"Yes, mom. Mason proposed to me today and I said yes. Mom, I was so surprised and I was..." Rachel abruptly stopped talking and a frown appeared on her face when she saw her mother crying. "Mom, why are you crying? Did something bad happened?"
Rachel asked as she glanced at Johanna who also gave a worried look.
