Turning Times ~ A Teen Lesbian Love Story Amidst The AIDS Epidemic

A story on falling in love when you least expect it.

Meredith is a young teen, living in the '80s, who knows nothing about love or sexuality besides what she reads in books. She is, in her own eyes, insignificant, especially when compared to her extroverted twin, Megan.
But when her family goes to a small beach town in the rural tip of upper Michigan, her view changes, especially with the help of the adventurous and alluring Elle, who Mer can't help but feel attracted to. Elle and Mer befriend an older man named Sam, who acts as the grandfather neither of them have. He helps them navigate their each coming into their own, as individuals, and as two girls falling in love in 1985.

But when devastation strikes, and it turns out that Sam has been keeping a tragic secret, Elle and Mer are left with nobody to turn to but each other. And when their true feelings threaten exposure, they are forced to make a choice that will change their lives forever.
