Chapter 26: The Door

A particular classroom was filled with students with elegant uniforms and a noble bearing they radiated. Girls wore a skirt, which was so short, causing their tender, tempting thick milky thighs to be exposed. Men wore formal attire with a logo of the school on their chests.

The atmosphere of the classroom was gloomy and depressing, as though someone had died and might probably be their classmate.

"Where is Isabella? Is she still suffering from that trauma?" asked one of the girls.

"Maybe, you're right. Should we go and console her?" replied someone beside her.

"No, I think we should not. Did you forget how she doesn't like to be disturbed?" the other girl rejected the proposal.

"What should we do, then?"

A group of girls surrounded themselves as they discussed with concern and troubled expressions on their faces. Meanwhile, the boys circled themselves, but they were actually listening to the girls' discussion.

"Hey, do you think we should beat that guy?"

"That Guy, Draven? We should!"

"Hey, Aiden. What do you think?!"

They turned their head simultaneously to the man who sat casually, but the aura he radiated was tough for an ordinary person to feel. Aiden was a meter apart from them for two reasons. He does not want to be disturbed, for he currently was thinking about something. The other reason was that the boys does not want to stand or sit beside him.

They had their own pride, so if they stood beside Aiden or sat next to him, it would appear they were his slaves. Furthermore, the classroom was currently filled with students with grandeur statuses with whose background was nothing ordinary. Although, most of them was a kid by the time the Dark Age hit the humans.

They managed to survive through their parents, who awakened supernatural powers and managed to survive through the cataclysm.

Humans progressed excessively even during the cataclysm, almost losing eighty percent of the population. However, due to humans producing offspring to a great degree, not only have they managed to gain their footing once again in the world, but they have also managed to give rise to generation after generation of awakeners in the span of ten years.

Furthermore that time, it was not only a single man who brought the humans out of the abyss. Four ancient martial arts families rose, and they banded together to create their own S-grade city and manage the whole humans under them.

"What do you think you would do if you were in my position?" asked Aiden calmly.

He closed his eyes while he waited for an answer. The person who was asked was startled and found himself could not think properly. Before long, once he managed to process what Aiden asked, he turned serious as he replied.

"I will kill him."

Simple answers, but it was a straight and direct response. It did not need to be argued, for all the people who heard their short conversation nodded their heads in satisfaction. No one interrupted as they turned their head to Aiden waiting for an answer.

"You're right," nodded Aiden. "Although the rules prohibit bullying our classmate, much less killing him. With your position or even with my position, it's easy to get away with murder."

The person nodded his head feeling satisfied by himself.

The classroom continued to be filled with nonstop babble among the students, and the door, which had been closed for over ten minutes, opened. The students stopped their discussion as they thought their teacher was finally about to enter the class.

Due to their teacher's nature not to get on time for the class, the students were not discontented by it, but rather they were internally satisfied for they had the time to gossip, especially to those students who were always late.

However, when the person finally made his appearance, their mind turned blank, while the person himself stopped in his tracks. He surveyed all his classmates, as their eyes set on him with eyes seemingly drifting. Before long, one of his classmates, a boy, stood up and suddenly attacked him in rage.

"What are you doing?"

Before Draven could even finish his sentence, he watched as the attacker's fist slowly reached out to him. That's right! It was slow, but it was only in his perspective, for all the students in the classroom failed to react, as none of them expected their classmate suddenly attack their fellow classmates.

They could only lament the fact Draven offended a person who was well-known for his martial arts and defeated countless people with his exaggerated exceptional moves. The person was none other than who declared he would kill Draven once he sees him, and it appeared it was not all talk.

They saw their classmates use his strongest move, as they remembered he called it; a bear's claw. His hand form was like a crescent, and thus it was almost similar to how a fist would form. Now, it was actually headed to Draven's nose, and the people who saw this could not help but feel a chill crawling behind their backs.

After all, they imagined the scene of Draven's nose getting ripped out, with flesh and skin torn in the process. It made them feel disgusted but terrified as well, for they thought that if they were in Draven's shoes, they would literally cry and beg to get out of this classroom alive.

Aiden only watched in the distance but admitted it was hard to defend that strike, much less thinking dodging it. It was fast, swift, and intimidating, even though he was not the receiver. He nodded his head, as an indication that the man was worth noting in his mind.

'Why would they react that I'm already dead?'

Draven sneered as he was thinking of humiliating the man by countering a simple move and breaking his body and mind into pieces when he remembered he needed to be low-key. Who knows what will happen to his future once they realize he holds power, which would indicate he hid a treasure or something?

He witnessed people with no backing slowly rising but offended certain people or families just because they rejected their offer and mysteriously died. He was always cautious and reminded himself always not to bring himself into trouble. It was still not a chance for him to show off his powers unless he could with his identity hidden.

Draven had been thinking for who knows how long, but the attacker still had not yet reached him. After he made his decision, Draven decided to move before things would be turned complicated.

His facial expression turned into fear, as he acted like he was scared he was being attacked. While everyone watched his facial expression with glee, before they knew it, Draven reached the doorknob of the classroom and ran to the hallway as soon as he opened it.

Everyone was dumbfounded as the scene of Draven's escape escalated too quickly. The fist stopped as it hit nothing in mid-air while the person was stupefied by the sudden change of events. He turned his head to his classmate, which sat not far from the door, as his face turned furious, and roar.

"Why did you not lock the door?"
