With the war over spartan 005 had to sacrifice his own life to end the last remaining covenant fleet for him to be able to save earth from their last attempt at glassing the planet.

S-005 thought he was gonna end up in the light but what he didn't know is that he had ended up in another world known to many as middle earth.
