Warden of The Southlands

A man pleads for his life until his voice is hoarse. Denizens crowd the streets beneath him, ignoring or prodding him, but more than that, there are people praying to him.

He has been gibbeted, and he hangs in his cage long after his death. Fourteen years, in fact. Long after the sun has bleached his bones white, and long after the man responsible for his hanging is entombed with his loved ones, surrounded by gold and jewels.
