Chapter 3: Meeting Joe (Chapter 3)
DONG!! (A loud sound.)
"What is that sound now?"
"Shh... Keep quiet."
Michael is blocking the door so that the zombie man won't budge in. Michael turns his head and looks at the back of the next cabin he has no choice but to go to the next cabin because if the zombie comes in he would need to fight.
"Elisa you move to the next cabin now with my bag there on the floor."
She carries the bag it's heavy. She wonders what's inside it's so heavy.
Michael notices she carries the bag and it's heavy she is walking unstable. Michael didn't realize it was too heavy for a lady to carry a bag.
Elisa walks slowly because the bag is making her strength deplete.
The zombie gets more aggressive when he sees the movement of Elisa.
Michael looks at the zombie he thinks about why he becomes more aggressive when he sees Elisa. Is there something that causes him to be more aggressive?
Michael doesn't know the answer but he will have to ask Elisa.
After Elisa enters the next cabin.
Michael sees that Elisa is there but can't see who is inside because it's far away.
Michael has no choice but to take the risk. He makes sure the door is double-locked before he leaves the zombie there.
The zombie struggles at the door.
Michael quickly runs towards the next cabin. Joining Elisa there.
When Michael enters the cabin, he realizes a man is sitting there alone.
The man seems sleeping.
Elisa didn't talk but pointed at the sleeping man.
Michael put a hand sign, "Keep quiet." (On the mouth.)
Michael quickly looks at the zombie behind he seems to disappear. There isn't any noise at the door.
Michael walks forward to the sleeping man. (Slowly walking.)
The man seems not moving at all.
Michael went forward to check on his breathing.
Michael put his hand underneath the man's nose. It's a shock!
The man doesn't seem to be alive.
Michael quickly touches the man's body and there is a hole behind the man's back.
The body is frozen seems like for decades.
The man is wearing a gold chain and it is embossed with a numerical on it. There isn't any wallet on him.
Michael takes out the man's gold chain and keeps it. Thinking there might be leads to this.
Michael asks Elisa to help him move the body to just now the cabin.
Elisa helps Michael to move the body.
After they moved the body, Michael quickly double-locked the door.
Michael says, "We will stay here for now."
Elisa says, "Your bag is very heavy I am unable to carry that to run."
Michael says, "He will carry it by himself from now on."
Michael opens the bag and shows Elisa the weapons.
Elisa says, "Since you have all these weapons why not you shoot at them?"
Michael says, "I was never done shooting, and shooting a person is even less possible."
Someone opens the door...
"If you don't shoot them they will bite you."
Elisa and Michael are stunned.
"Who are you?"
Michael looks at the man who is wearing an army suit.
"I am Joe, don't worry I am one of the survival there is another person but I separated because there was a fight just now."
Elisa says, "Since you are wearing an army suit, I assumed you can shoot using a gun."
Joe says, "Yes, of course."
Michael takes the weapons in the bag and gives them to Joe. Take these since you can use them.
Joe says, "Thanks but you're not going to keep some? It might be of some use since we are on this train you will never know if there are any bad people around."
Michael is suddenly shocked and his hand put it on the bag. "Wait, are you saying you are a bad guy?"
Joe says, "No, I am from the army, actually I board this train with my buddy. I can teach both of you to use these weapons and protect yourself."
Michael and Elisa agree with this.
"Okay we will learn, you teach us, and these weapons we will divide these among us."
Joe teaches them how to use the weapons.
Since there are many different kinds of weapons Joe chooses the lightest weapon for Elisa.
Joe gives Michael the fastest machine gun.
"There are enough bullets and this bag is very packed will equipment are you sure you don't know how to use them?"
Michael says, "Actually I picked up this bag underneath the seat just now where I was seated. This bag doesn't belong to me."
"Oh, means someone brought this bag into the train."
Elisa says, "Could there be some people still alive, people like us? Then we must find them and ensure they are safe."
"It's a good idea to save other people but you have to save yourself first since you are weak, how to save others."
Michael says, "She is a lady, we guys should protect her."
"I will protect everyone since it's my duty. If I can go out alive then I will get a promotion to remember my name is Joe Olinka"
"Olinka? Sounds familiar where have I heard this name before?"
"Oh, are you the one who saves a little girl before an accident? She is my older sister."
"Oh, she is your sister?"
"Wow, you can meet your sister survivor in such a small world."
Michael asks, "How are you able to stay alive in such a condition and how long have you been on this train?"
Joe says, "I managed to survive because of my fighting skills but I have no idea how long have I been on this train."
Elisa says, "Oh, you could have been here for a while or months. Do you know how to get out of this place?"
Joe says, "No, there was once the train stopped by a place and my buddy is left there. But since then, this train didn't stop."
Michael asks, "Do you know where this train stops? Which area or any specific shops or something to recognize."
Joe says, "Not that, its dark area, the place is like an abandoned place. There is a big house but my buddy and I didn't manage to go there."
Elisa says, "This could be a lead, as long as this train stops we can find out where is the place."
Michael says, "But how would you know this train will stop at the same place? By the way, a train never stops by the same place twice, unless it's a different route."
Joe says, "That's true."
Elisa asks, "We have a watch, our time should be the same."
Elisa and Michael's time is the same but Joe's time seems to have stopped.
Elisa and Michael look at Joe's watch, "Your time seems to have run out of battery."
Michael asks, "How long ago did you change your watch battery?"
Joe says, "About 1 month ago."
Michael says, "Means you could have been here for 5 months or 6 months or even 1 year depending on the battery typed."
Elisa says, "Huh... 5 months to 1 year that's a very long time. I don't want to be locked up here and with those zombies. I want to return home. I want to fall in love again!"
Joe says, "We are men here, you can choose either of us." Hahahaha...
Michael's face turns red.
Elisa shut her mouth.
"Okay, joking. We have to be concerned about how to survive rather than to think of anything else."
Michael agrees.
Suddenly there is a sound...
DONG DONG DONG!!!
"What is it now?", says Elisa.
"Shhh... Keep your voice low."
Joe takes the gun he holds in his hand and walks forward.
Elisa grabs Michael's arm.
She is scared and trembling.
Michael carries the weapon bag along with him.
Joe walks closer...
