Chapter 5: Chapter 5 bullshit

With enormous force, the crystal blue water streamed forward, leaping over the large boulder and generating a soft swooshing sound through the thriving trees beside the river.

Lots of debris, including large chunks of logs and broken tree branches, were carried by the powerful stream of water. The boulder and trees along the riverbank were frequently struck by the debris. causing some of the debris to change its course toward the stony river bank.

An unidentified male corpse with pale skin that had a subtle violet color was among the debris that the stream dragged towards the river bank. The dead body's pace dwindled as the result of frequently colliding with the sturdy massive boulder. After a short while, the dead body arrived on the river's stony bank.

[Scanning the area for a suitable body...]

[Scanning complete.]

[One appropriate body has been discovered nearby.]

[Host, are you willing to unite with this body? Y/N.]

[...]

[The host was found to be unconscious by the system. The system decided to switch to autopilot.]

A dazzling light was hovering above the woodland, although it was gently wrinkled by the neighboring clouds, it remained stationary. However, all of a sudden, it accelerated, causing the clouds to disperse.

After a minute, the sphere landed at the edge of the river with a significant impact, sending small tremors through the water. The sphere remained stagnant as it slowly examined its immediate surroundings.

[Subject found... The necessary preparations have been made, and the merging operations will soon begin in three, two, one, and zero.]

When the timer reached zero, the sphere began to disintegrate into tiny particles, which then started to rush toward the corpse like-microscopic injections.

Then the sphere particle pierced the corpse. Subsequently, the lifeless body jerked violently as all the injuries, skin tones, and other physiological parts began to heal quickly.

...

It took an entire day for the dead body to heal all the injuries. Yet, Daniel didn't awaken. It's because the process of uniting the body and the soul was still ongoing. This body would be useless if this process would fail.

In reality, Daniel attempted to merge with a variety of bodies thousands of times after becoming a soul, but each attempt was a sad failure.

Two birds gently land at the top of Daniel's unconscious head. Daniel's eyes abruptly opened, making the two birds swiftly soar in the sky. Daniel grunted as he lifted his body gradually and sat down on the ground. Daniel's gaze browsed the area around him, asking "where am I?"

But then, all of a sudden, he experienced a Deja Vu as a strong pain swept through his body. He growled as clenched the small stone next to his hand and yelled, "What the fuck! is happening?"

Luckily it was less terrible than the one he went through in the goddess domain, but it was still painful since every second that went by, the pain intensified. Daniel's heart was beating faster just thinking about the possibility that the pain would continue or worsen.

After an hour, the ache eventually vanished. Daniel's consciousness likewise went away as the pain subsided.

When he woke up, an unfamiliar memory flashed in front of his eyes. Some of them were still discernible despite the blurriness. Daniel angrily roared and punched the boulder multiple times until his hand bleed.

As he plopped his body against the rough boulder, blood began to trickle from his fist. He sat there for several minutes, quieting his racing thoughts. His eyes widened in shock as he collected himself. "Did I just experience rebirth?"

But after a little while, wrath emerged on his face. Daniel yelled as his voice reverberated across the forest, "Who the fuck says I want to receive a new life? My first life was full of misery now you offer me another one? What's this season two of my suffering? Fuck!"

To console himself, Daniel leaned his head against the boulder. Daniel guessed, "It's not that horrible. Calm down. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Inhale-exhale." continuing this eventually made him more composed.

He slowly stood up and tugged his body towards the river. As he arrived at the spot, he quickly noticed his reflection in the lake. The scene astounded him, and his jaw dropped. Yelled Daniel, "Fuck!"

A male body about the age of 17 was reflected in Daniel's eye. His pupils were raven black, and he had white hair. He has a sharp nose and a great jawline, making him attractive but not so attractive that all the girls would scream if they saw him. However, the body was the problem, not this location. The body was very thin, almost paper-thin. Without even using any contemporary technology, one could see all of his ribs.

Daniel was frustrated with his luck that he wanted to go berserk but lacked the energy to do so. Therefore he took a seat. Daniel sighed deeply and stated, "Done is done, I can't undo anything any longer."

Daniel looked around while he forced himself to appear calm. He observed a vast forest. Although they weren't as tall as those in the goddess domain, these trees were still rather tall. The towering, vivacious trees in this area ranged in height from 15 to 34 meters, and they were swinging freely as the cool air swept their leaves across the woodland. On the ground, the earth was hidden by a thick green bush covered in dried leaves and shattered tree limbs.

Daniel was able to experience a true sense of nature by taking in the view in front of him. Even though it was a little unsettling, he understood that this was the actual woodland and not the one he had seen in the goddess kingdom.

Since he was near the river Daniel slowly knelt and felt his bones cracking as he did so. He then drank the chilly river water after carefully inspecting it. Daniel had many inquiries regarding this realm, but he was unsure of where to ask them. He was simply aware that this body's memory was the most reliable source of information. "But how?" he questioned himself.

Although Daniel's thoughts were on the verge of exploding, not a single concept came to him. Daniel wondered, "Is there some sort of magic?" but then he heard a ding in his head.

*Ding*

Daniel was stunned that he even felt his heart see Jesus In a split second. He quickly raised his guard as he questioned. "what the fuck was that?"

Daniel blinked once and when he opened his eyes he noticed a rectangular thin tablet floating in front of him. Daniel's brows frowned as he stared blankly at the screen. After a few seconds of being dumbfounded Daniel hastily massaged his eyes to make sure he wasn't having hallucinations.

"Was this child a drug user? Or am I simply buzzed today?"

Then Daniel slowly opened his and to his surprise, the tablet was still on his front floating. In a state of panic, Daniel rapidly rubbed his eyes for the second time. "fuck, fuck, fuck, I think I'm high I need to calm down," pleaded Daniel.

Once more, Daniel gradually opened his eyes to examine the tablet, and sure enough, it was still there and hadn't vanished. Daniel made the choice to touch it softly. Strangely, Daniel could feel the tablet as if he was rubbing a smooth stone with his hand.

Upon giving the recent events some time to sink in. At last, Daniel conceded that he wasn't high or using drugs. When Daniel checked every inch of the tablet, it suddenly trembled and a lot of words started to display on it.

As his head filled with countless disorganized concepts, Daniel took a step back. His worries went far beyond "did I press something incorrectly? Will it explode?"

Daniel took another glance over the tablet and spotted a passage that quickly attracted his attention.

[Terms and policies.]

Daniel leaned closer to take a good look before starting to read the entire note. As he proceeded to read every word on the tablet, Daniel's head was frequently nodding.

Daniel hesitantly pushed the 'okay' button after finishing reading the note all the way through. But something prevented Daniel from pressing the button. Therefore, he applied quick pressure, but it didn't bodge. So, he took his time exploring the note.

Daniel scrolled the note till he got to the very end. Finally, he saw the problem, Daniel couldn't press the 'okay' button due to [I'm not a robot] verification at the end. "what the-" mumbled Daniel. he then shrugged his head and produced to do the task since he got no other choice either.

After finishing the verification, a crucial recollection snatched Daniel's attention out of nowhere. The memories were focused on how to operate the system properly.

The unexpected recollection that the system sent to Daniel caused him to vomit. A tear slithered down his face and trickled to the ground. Daniel spat out, "what a fucking day, full of suffering," as he craved for fresh air.

Daniel sat on the ground and pondered all the bizarre events that had happened today. His voice was melancholy as he asked himself, "Am I cursed or something?" After some time passed. Daniel, at last spoke. "status."

[The system will now begin to scan the host body for its status report.]

Suddenly, Daniel experienced a strange sensation, like something was moving inside of him. But since he was aware of what was going on, he paid it no mind.
