Chapter 51: The Rain

Lucius was spitting blood and feeling dizzy, came to a stop during his run. He reached into his inventory, took out a water flask, and started drinking in big gulps. He covered his mouth with his hand to help the water go down easier, hoping to quench his thirst and soothe his sore throat.

Blood dripped from his lips, a result of the attack that tore his clothes and left a black metal vest piece still clinging on.

Limping and mustering all his strength, Lucius arrived at the village, where some goblins had already formed a circle around it. Fortunately, the main goblin force had not arrived yet; these were merely scouts.

Seizing the element of surprise, Lucius approached a goblin scout from behind, catching the creature off guard, and swiftly stabbed it in the heart, causing it to collapse. However, his presence did not go unnoticed, and the other goblins turned their attention to him.
