I Let Out A Tired Sigh. I quickly remove all of my clothes, down the remaining coffee in the mug and jump into the shower. I wash the frustration out of my hair and calm my body for a while. Once I'm sure all the warm water is done for, I dry myself and put on some fresh and crispy pair of pyjamas and comfortable baggy t-shirt and jump onto the couch. I open my silver laptop and as if all the weight is back again.

I've been trying to prepare the cover for my new chapbook, "Sea Full Of Stars" for the past three days now. I'm not a visual artist and hiring one costs too much and I'm too broke to spend bills on softwares. It's never easy being a writer. Writing itself can be such a lonely process, although it is my first home. But then I have to design a cover that is not only catchy, mysterious and unique but also conversely uninhibited. Great. I spend hours trying to find the right website that'll let me make one for free.

For a minute there, I sit back tired and almost defeated. What if books didn't have covers, I think to myself. I could've saved all this hassle and been sleeping on my lonely bed in peace. I'd be "Netflix and Chilling" on my phone. I'd probably have been writing something new.

But what about all the books I've read? I confess that I've also once trusted the image more than the not-so-convincing texts. The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald with it's original art work is a stunning masterpiece. The eyes, the blue and the glam packed in it's dressing is an unbelievable turn on for any reader. But then again it wasn't designed by Fitzgerald himself. It was illustrated by Francis Cugat, a little known artist back then. It was the Gatsby that made me realise that it is an art to cover the book with a cape.

The same cannot be said for all the other books in my collection. Interpreter Of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri or Pablo Neruda's Love don't have the most convincing covers. I bought those books for the rave reviews I'd heard of them.

I do know that Rupi Kaur illustrated her own books. I get up and bring out all the poetry books that I own and try to fathom the making of their book art. The simplicity in Rupi's artwork is really appealing, but on the other hand Atticus's books look way too fancy. But the one thing they had in common is that their book covers were exactly what their book title said.

I too want my cover to reflect the idea and spirit of my book. But I don't know anyone who can design a book cover. Or who understands or reads my book or my art. I don't have my Francis Cugat.

I turn back to my computer, reducing it's brightness first because outside it's turning dark and I don't want to turn the light on just yet. I make a mental conversation with myself that if it doesn't work this time, I'll just use a template by Kindle Direct Publishing.

This time I go to YouTube and type 'how to make a paperback book cover for free' and hit Enter. The first video is of a middle-aged white man on the thumbnail, his hair slightly brown and a straight face. I click on it. The video starts demonstrating the process of making an easy to go book cover on this website called Canva.

I've used this app on my phone before but I never knew it could be used for making a paperback dress. I go to the site and follow all the instructions. I choose the image very mindfully, edit it, use the right fonts and change the colors. I do the same with the back cover and add a piece of poetry there. Then I keep following the instructions and after failing countless times, I make the perfect book cover for my latest collection.

I wipe the tears of joy slipping down my cheeks. I know I haven't made the best or make-you-pick-the-book-up kind of cover, but I'm happy.

I realise that I'm more happy because I could finally do something that fits the rules of the modern mass publishing world. I did something that will make people want to give me a look.

If it was upto me, I'd have the cover completely black or yellow and only bare my name and the name of the book. But that's not the case. I just smile with the fact that I made something that reflects the imagery or mood of my book. And I know that even with the exhausting role my cover will play, it won't ever gain the respect it deserves.

I go to bed hungry and drift off.

Stone Platform somewhere in the Starry Sky

A man in cyan robes sat in the lotus position with a large book in his hands. This book was too large with numerous pages bound in a thick leather cover. It had no title but instead numerous symbols seemed to move mysteriously on the cover. The man observed the book quietly with a profound gaze completely unaffected by his surroundings. It should be said that the Great Dark was an extremely unforgiving environment for living creatures. Yet this man continued to go through this large book like nothing was amiss. After a long moment, he slowly closed the book shut, and then stood up while tucking it under his right arm. 

"Let's begin." he said, whilst taking a few steps forward to be in the exact centre of the platform. 
With the large book under his right arm, he raised up his left hand and quickly started making rapid gestures. As if in response, the entire platform started to rumble in sync with the gestures. A golden glow then started to gather in the man's hand, increasingly growing brighter as he made more and more gestures. When the brightness became almost blinding, he rapidly bent on one knee and slapped his palm onto the platform. Immediately, the rumbling stopped and the golden light seemed to have been swallowed by the centre of the platform like water on a poured on a parched land. 

Then as if out of nothing, golden symbols started appearing one after the other on the edge of the circular platform until they formed a ring of symbols. It did not end there, as after a loud rumble another set of symbols appeared below the first set to make a second inner ring of symbols. Then, following more rumbles, more rings of symbols appeared until finally, the whole platform was filed with golden symbols, with the centre where the man was standing having only one central symbol. All the symbols glowed with a golden light, illuminating the entire platform and the man in a golden hue. The man broke into a smile, seemingly satisfied with the effect. He knelt down with his other knee and sat back on his legs, before slowly placing the large book on top of the central golden symbol. the mysterious symbols on the cover of the book seemed to sense the golden symbol they had been placed on and moved to align with it. In this manner the symbol on the back cover matched the one on the platform, and it also started to glow in a golden light. The light slowly spread along the patterns on the spine of the book, and to the ones on the front cover. Eventually, the mysterious symbols on the book cover all glowed golden, and had stopped moving about, having gathered into a single design on the front cover. 

The man seated in front of the book let out a sigh, which was then quickly replaced with a serious and decisive gaze. He lifted up his hands and started rapidly making hand gestures. His robes shockingly flapped with no wind and his hair blew back, as the speed of his gestures rapidly increased. A golden glow enveloped his robes and body and even his hands became unrecognisable as his gestures reached unimaginable speeds. His gaze sharpened even more and he shouted loudly 
"Formation!"
As if in response to his shout, the entire platform rumbled and then shockingly, stated to tilt from one end. Even more strangely, though the platform was in a tilt, the man in cyan robes remained perfectly seated where he was, not dislodged in the slightest. After tilting almost to a vertical position, the platform rumbled to a stop. The whole time the man continued making gestures without pause and a small vortex even seemed to be generated by the fast speed of his hand movements. When the platform stopped, the man slapped both hand on the book in front of him, not disoriented in the least from sitting perpendicularly and shouted 
"Chaos"
The golden glow around him rapidly changed colour into a black glow, but if one looked closely they would actually see it was a dark shade of violet that was almost black. the dark glow intensified until it became a blinding dark light, and then it was all absorbed into the cover of the book. The man on the platform vanished with the light! The symbol on the cover rapidly darkened and turned violet, then the effect spread on the spine and back cover of the book. Like an ink stain on paper the violet hue spread into the centre symbol on the platform, then outwards into the other symbols ring by ring. Soon the entire platform and the book were glowing a dark light. 

Nothing remained on the platform except a book, and many symbols. Mysteriously, rumbling sounds began again from the platform and one symbol after another began to lose their glow in the outermost ring. When all the many symbols dimmed out, that section began to crack, then completely collapsed off the platform into debris. Immediately after the collapse, rumbles began again from the platform and the outermost ring of symbols began to dim one by one. Like a predetermined pattern, the platform continued to collapse in an orderly fashion until only the central symbol was left. By this point the rumbles had become loud roars and the platform had massively reduced in size. Only the symbol and the book above it remained. At this point, the book glowed brightly, and slowly sank into the symbol. As it disappeared into the symbol, the dark glow increased rapidly in brightness, becoming like a small sun of dark light. All that was visible was a sphere of dark light floating there in the Great Dark. Moments passed, and then with a loud boom, the sphere shot into the distance in a streak of dark light!

A young boy in a small village had a wish to become the strongest. A Cultivator wishes to achieve the peak of cultivation and become a Divinity. But is divinity really the peak? The path of cultivation is ruthless. His path is the most difficult. A path with no obstacles is not worth walking, and their two paths collide.

It was a late and cloudy morning on the floating island of Skyloft. The skies were dyed a cold prussian, with a chilly air whistling through the village. The townsfolk had retired from their usual daily duties, with the majority of them seeking refuge in their own warm homes. Over at the Knight Academy, two students were less than bothered about the weather and were more focused on their task at hand.
Zelda waltzed through the corridor, closely followed by her companion, Link. She was dancing about the place, humming to herself. The silent hero watched her, a smile on his lips, nothing filled him with more joy than seeing her happy.
"Do you think we will be able to find the book?" she turned around to ask her partner, her arms interlocked behind her back. Link nodded, he didn't see why they wouldn't be able to find what they were looking for, "Guess it's a good job we decided to go to the library after all." She said with a sigh, noticing the dark skies brewing outside the window.
The pair took a step closer to the glass to admire the view. Even on the rare occasions when the weather was gloomy, the island of Skyloft was still beautiful. Grey clouds had begun to scatter the prussian sky, ready to disperse at any moment. The couple smiled at one another, they had made a good decision to come to the academy library today.
Zelda pushed herself off the window frame, ushering her companion to follow. Link took hold of her hand, causing her to turn back to him, her cheeks dyed pink. The couple walked a little further down the corridor until they reached the large wooden door leading the library. The silent hero took it upon himself to take a step ahead of his companion, and open the door for her. The blonde-haired girl gave him a quick bow with her hair out of respect. A silent thank you between them both.
Inside the library, sat behind a varnish-oak desk, was a woman in her mid-thirties sipping quietly on a hot beverage and flipping through a tome. She looked up from her page to see the pair walk into her domain. Zelda noticed her gaze and walked up to the counter to greet her.
"Good morning," she said politely, recognising the librarian as her classmate Pipit's mother.
"Good morning," the librarian replied with a smile, "Can I help you with something?" she asked, closing her book as Link joined his companion's side.
The young blonde shook her head, "I think we're fine, thank you."
"Be sure to let me know if there is anything," she replied, returning her head back to her book. Zelda nodded, taking hold of her companion's hand and leading him towards the fiction section.
The couple looked around at the bookshelves, in the hope they would find what they were after. They searched for an hour, briefly glancing over each spine but had no luck. The blonde-haired girl stood with her hands on her hips, a confused look plastered across her face. She was sure the book was here. It had to be. Link reappeared from behind one of the bookshelves holding a children's fiction book in his hand. He held it up for his partner to take a look.
"What do you have there, Link?" she asked him, curious to know what he found. Her companion handed her the book illustrated with a beautiful watercolor painting of a duckling on the front, "Oh. The ugly duckling," she said softly, running her fingers across the cover. While it was a book she had heard when he was younger, it wasn't the book she was after. She shook her head and handed the book back to him, "It's not this one, but thank you." Her companion nodded and returned the book back to its shelf.
Zelda skimmed her finger across the shelf beside her, taking a look at each spine. She felt Link return to her and turned back to him, "I remember a little more about the book," she said quietly, not wanting to annoy the librarian. The silent hero folded his arms across his chest and nodded slowly, wanting to hear what she had to say.
She noticed a group of plush bean bag chairs sitting upon the mat that decorated the floor and gestured for the pair of them to sit. Link agreed following her over to the seats. Zelda slumped back, ungracefully, into the bean bag, letting out a giggle as she stumbled. Her companion copied her action, repeating her mistake, wincing from the shock.
"I remember a little more about the illustrations I saw inside the book," she begun, interlocking her fingers in her lap, "Something to do with a fish, or something similar. It was definitely a book that had a lot of water." She continued, racking her mind for something that would help. Her companion nodded, understanding the details she was retelling. He raised his index finger up, indicating he needed a minute, she nodded watching him dash off to another bookshelf a short distance away.
Zelda continued to sit on her bean bag and look around at the bookshelves sitting beside her. She gazed up at one shelf, with a particular book catching her sapphire-dyed eyes. She stood up, taking a step closer to the shelf. A small book had been placed as the pride of the shelf, something the library did weekly showcasing their personal recommendations or new books that had come in. The edges were worn in places, with the cover illustration a little scuffed. The book had all the signs of a well-loved children's novel that had been cherished by all those who had read it.
The blonde-haired student took the book in her pale hands, turning it over a few times. She glanced at the blurb on the back, decorated as a scroll and edges in seashells. Could this be it, Zelda thought to herself, turning the book back to the cover. It certainly featured the sea with a half-woman, half-fish illustrated on the front. She kept the book in her arms and returned to her bean bag just in time for Link to reappear, carrying a small stack of books in his arms. He took his seat beside her, excited to show his companion the novels he had found.
Not to break his heart, Zelda happily looked through the books with him so his hard work did not go to waste. He handed the first book, a scratchy illustration of a whale sat on the front cover. She took it from him and flipped through a couple of the pages before shaking her blonde hair and giving it back. Link frowned, offering her another book. Once again she accepted it kindly and flicked through a few of the pages but shook her head once more before returning it back to him. He produced another, a watercolor painting of a sea horse decorated the cover.
"Oh, Link, this one isn't a fiction book." She said, realising the book he had given her was about the wildlife under the sea. She let out a soft giggle but was quickly shushed by the librarian in the distance. Zelda placed a pale hand to her lips and mouthed oops to her companion. She handed the wildlife book back to him. Link felt his cheek flush pink with embarrassment, how did he overlook that? He replaced the book with a fiction one this time, featuring an orange clown-fish and a blue surgeonfish on the front.
"This one look interesting," Zelda replied, turning the book over to read the blurb before flipping through a couple of the pages, heavily illustrated by, what she believed, was the story. It was prominently a picture book aimed at smaller children, "But the target audience should be older. This is for small children," she said handing the book back to him. The couple sat comfortably in their bean bags going through the rest of the fiction books the silent hero had gathered. But none of them had been the one Zelda was looking for. That book still remained close by her side, almost like a trump card.
Link was down to his last novel, with a stack of discarded books to his left side that he would have to return once they were finished. He was not looking forward to that particular task. The last book was decorated more plainly than the other novels showcased before it. It was one of the older books with a worn leather cover with gold script carved into the fabric. Zelda took the novel in her hands and was surprised to see the title that was written on the cover.
"You found it," she spoke softly, almost finding it difficult to believe that there had been two copies of her favourite book hiding in the library, "Thank you, Link." She said, smiling at him and the book in turn. But inside she felt a little guilty, she too had found the book she remembered from her childhood.
Zelda looked down towards the floor, her pale hands clutching onto the hem of her cerise dress, "Link, I must confess something." She spoke, barely audible to anyone except her companion. The silent hero edged closer to hear her better, tilting his head to one side, confused with what she was about to inform him. He watched as she produced a copy of the same book, but with an illustrated cover. She placed both books side by side.
"I also found the book," Zelda continued to explain, her hands smoothing over the leather-bound copy, "Truth be told. I thought only one copy existed in the academy," she whispered, not wanting to be scolded again, "But this one," she said holding up the copy she had located, "Was the one I remember as a child." The blonde-haired student opened the book revealing the beautiful watercolor illustrations inside the book that featured very little text on each page and instead was dominated by the pictures.
"My mother used to read this to me when I was younger," Zelda explained, running her fingertips against the image of the half-woman half-fish character, "I enjoyed the story, despite the sad ending it has. I always hoped that the water creature truly existed." She said pointing at the main character, she believed to be called Ariel. Link gestured towards the book, he had not heard the story himself.
"Have you not heard the little mermaid before?" his companion asked. The silent hero shook his head, his cheeks dyed a deeper shade of pink from embarrassment. He had not lived a normal childhood. He never knew his parents and never had the opportunity to hear a bedtime story.
"Would you like me to read it to you?" Zelda asked politely, not wanting to offend him, but desperately wanted to share her favourite childhood novel with her partner. Link nodded, I'd like that, he thought to himself. His companion smiled back at him, "I'll just go check out the two copies whilst you put away the others. Something tells me the librarian wouldn't appreciate us reading this book aloud," she replied with a sigh, tucking both the novels under her arm before getting to her boots. Link followed her lead, gathering up the discarded book pile to return to the bookshelves whilst Zelda headed over to the front desk.
"Hello again," she said politely to the librarian, who smiled back.
"Just these two?" the older woman asked, putting down her cup of black coffee and standing up on her feet. Zelda nodded, "Very well, allow me to stamp them for you," the librarian replied, picking up her small stamp. She dabbed it into an ink pad before stamping a slip of paper on the inside cover of the books and pushing them back towards their new owner. "All finished for you. I hope you enjoy them." She smiled once more before returning to her seat. The blonde-haired student bowed her head in respect, thanking the librarian before making her way towards the door.
Zelda had only been waiting a few minutes when Link rejoined her side. He held out his arm and allowed his companion to interlock her arm in his. The couple set off back to his bedchambers.

Link sat upright on his bed, his back rested against his wooden headboard with his companion tucked up in his arms. The pair of them had a steaming mug of cocoa, provided to them by the academy kitchen staff - a perfect treat on a cold and rainy autumn evening, particularly with a good book to read. This moment couldn't have been spoiled by anything. The ambiance of the rain tapping lightly on his bedroom window, the warmth of their bodies close together and Zelda softly reading her favourite childhood novel for her partner to enjoy. This moment was truly perfect.

Lance figured that the scanner should be the first step on copying. He got up from the chair and walked over to the scanner and place the book on it. As soon as he did, a window popped up.

"No other option." Lance begun scanning the book. After a few minutes, the machine finished and the computer lit up, "Oh?" He walked over and sat back down and looked at the computer. A new interface appeared.

Two options, copy or duplicate. Knowing games as well as he did, he choose duplicate. After selecting the option, the printer sprung to life and started to spit out the pages. After a couple minutes it finished. Lance picked up all the pages and headed to binding station.

Lance placed the pages on the machine and hit begin. The machine roared to life and started punching tiny holes, stringing through the holes, and folding the pages. 

As the machine was running, Lance went over to the book cover press, he needed a cover for the book. As soon as he got close a window popped up.

Lance found that interesting, As long as he had the bound book he could easily produce the cover. He went over to the computer and started printing another copy. As he waited for that to finish, he went back to the binding station and grabbed the finished book. He placed it on the book cover press and selected the title. The machine took the bound copy and started to make the cover. 

Lance picked up the pages from the printer and did the same as he did with the first. The cover press had finished and Lance picked up the finished book. It looked almost exactly like the original. He decided to inspect it just to make sure.

He did it, The book was an exact copy, and able to teach the class. He was ecstatic, this opened up so much for him now. Not only can he learn classes from books, but he might even be able to give those to his team mates. He quickly finished the second copy. 

He rushed from the study and knocked on Elandra's door, "Hey, I got the book ready for you." Lance stood just on the other side holding all three books. 

Elandra came to the door, "Oh? that was quick." She expected it to take him a couple days or longer to just make one copy. 

Lance handed the book to Elandra, "If you learn it, let me know." He then rushed off downstairs to give the other copy to Sharna. 

Sharna was still sitting in the living room. She was practicing the other magic spells they had to learn. With the help of Lance, she was able to learn one of the other orb spells rather quickly. She sat with a fire orb floating in the palm of her hand. 

"Oh? That's pretty good." Lance came from behind and startled her. The orb disappeared in a cloud of smoke. "I'm sorry." He felt bad, she was so focused and he interrupted her. 

"It's okay. I was able to learn it. Anyways, what's up?" She was trying to hide the fact that she got spooked. 

"Here." Lance held out a copy of the book.

Sharna reached out and took the book, "You were able to copy it?" She was kind of surprised. He wasn't gone that long, and he was holding two books. 

"Of course." Lance had a big grin on his face as he walked around the couch and sat down. 

Elandra came down as well and sat in her chair. "We should call this the meeting room." She placed the book in front of her on the table and looked to the three. "So, what are we going to do now?"

Lance looked to the book in his hands. If it was similar to the spells, then he should learn it and see if he could impart any knowledge he learned. "I'll learn the class, and see if I can speed up the process for you." 

Sharna held the book tightly, "Alright, then lets try this." She looked around at everyone, finally stopping on Lance as she watched the events about to unfold. 

Lance took a deep breath. He focused on his basic knowledge currently, he used this as a baseline. Then he opened the interface and learned the new class.

The book disappeared in a colorful display of lights. Lance's understanding of the class begun to grow. He could not only understand what ESP was, but how to use it. After studying the changes in his mind, he opened his eyes and turned to the two. 

"Okay, so. ESP, or Extra-Sensory Perception is a trait of the mind." Lance begun explaining as best he could about all the changes that happened. "I'm able to feel the life force around me, and my senses are heightened. Even my thinking speed as increased a bit." 

Elandra was listening while reading through the book. "So ESP is all psychic. You can learn how to manipulate objects as well as read minds and sense danger." She was beginning to understand the contents. 

Sharna was reading through her book as well. "Not just sense danger, time seems to slow for the user." Her understanding was becoming apparent as she continued. 

Lance watched the two girls. He kept a close eye to see if either of them learned the class. Sharna was faster at reading than Elandra, but it was still taking a long time for them to read the book. 

"I get it!" Sharna shouted in excitement. "ESP is a power very similar to Mage's. The only difference is that one is for battle, and the other is more for support and defence." She was almost finished the book.

"No, an ESP power can also be used in attack if you use it right." Elandra was still trying to keep up with Sharna. Slowly though, she was learning how to use these new powers and how they could help her in combat. 

Lance scanned the two to see if either of them has learned the class yet. Unfortunately, after almost an hour of waiting, nothing yet. 

Sharna shut her book and placed it on the table. She then stood up, closed her eyes and spun around a few times. While keeping her eyes closed, she started to walk around the room. 

To Lance's amazement, she avoided everything while blinding herself. She continued to walk around for a while till she got behind Lance. With a big smile, she threw her arms around him and gave him a hug, "I think I've done it." 

Lance did a quick scan, and there it was. Sharna had a new class, ESPer. "Yeah, you did. Congrats." Lance was quite happy. Her having a new class meant so much. 

Not wanting to be beaten, Elandra stayed focus on her book. She was going to learn this new skill, one way or another. 

While Elandra was still studying, Lance picked up the book Sharna read and inspected it.

To his surprise, he could still use the book, even though someone else learned from it. Now he would make copies only so he could teach Elandra and Sharna. And maybe sell the extra copies later on. 

The room remained silent as Elandra continued to read. Vixen, Sharna, and Lance all watched with bated breath for her to finish. After another half hour, Elandra shut her book and let out a breath. "I think I done it." She closed her eyes as she tried to sense her surroundings. 

Lance quickly scanned her and he could see the new class as clear as day. "You did it!" He was even more excited now. They all had a rare and unique class, and best of all, they will only get more powerful. 

"Hey, so, with these, 'classes' how are we going to make them stronger?" Elandra became curious. Even with these new classes, she couldn't figure out how to level them up.

After shutting the door of the high grade spiritual energy tempering room, the first thing Mo Wuji took out was that book of Immortal Mortal Technique. Because he was in the Heaven Seeking Palace’s Immortal Training Tower’s spiritual energy tempering room, he was confident that there was absolutely no way anyone could spy on him.
Mo Wuji had no intentions of flipping to the last few pages of the book as he chose to start from page 1 instead.

This extra content allowed those who don’t understand it to read it more smoothly and logically.

The main reason was because the added content Immortal Mortal Technique was like taking off your pants to fart: an extra move.

Using his spiritual will, he managed to sense that there were a few lines on the back of the book cover. Could this be a seal?
No way, Mo Wuji thought to himself as he quickly realised that it was not a seal. Because of his recent research on Chu Xingzi’s Array Dao, he knew quite a fair bit about seals. These lines did not look anything like seals but they looked more like the streams of spirit channels in one’s body.
Mo Wuji cautiously placed his hand on these invisible lines as he shut his eyes to feel it. After half a day, he still could not feel anything special about these lines.
He decided to transfer some elemental energy into the lines and to Mo Wuji’s pleasant surprise, his elementary energy could actually enter these faint lines.
After a short while, Mo Wuji had a new discovery. His elementary energy could only be mobilised in one of the lines and not split up to enter two lines. However, no matter how hard he tried to transfer and mobilise the elemental energy in the line, the book remained in its original state. 
Mo Wuji then started directing his spiritual energy on the remaining lines. When he used his second meridian to transfer a stream of elemental energy into one of the lines, it was exactly like his prediction where the second stream of elemental energy could only flow in the second line.
Just as the two spirit channels started flowing simultaneously, it was forming a simple spiritual circuit. However, Mo Wuji could only cultivate such spiritual circuit in his body and not on the book itself.
Following this method, Mo Wuji continuously transferred elemental energy into the lines of the book and since he possessed 101 meridians, he might as well transfer all elemental energy into 101 independent lines of the book.

Additionally, there were even pictures and explanations within this book. As compared to the first 10 pages, the explanation on the pages behind were far more detailed.
Holding this Immortal Mortal Technique, Mo Wuji apologised to that Tian Ji Sect’s head in his heart as he wrongly accused and cursed at him previously.
The saying ‘Without proper investigation, one should not have the right of speech’ should instead be altered to ‘Without proper investigation, one should not be chirping away’.

The reason why Tian Ji Sect took this book out to sell was because they knew that the back of the book was sealed up. They also knew that the seal could only be broken by someone with 101 meridians or rather a person with 101 spirit channels.
A Tian Ji Sect’s expert must have tried and realised that without a person capable of transferring so many individual streams of elemental energy into the lines, the sealed pages would never appear. Even if an expert were to rely on brute force to try and open this Immortal Mortal Technique, he might accidentally destroy this manual eventually.
Tian Ji Sect’s experts quoted such a high price of 10,008 contribution points only because they were aware that this book was truly valuable. The truth was that Mo Wuji knew that this quoted price would never be enough to purchase this book. Perhaps Tian Ji Sect was afraid that nobody would buy the book even if they were to sell it at a price of 100 contribution points hence, they quoted it at over 10,000 contribution points to try their luck and see who would actually purchase this book.
Mo Wuji was almost certain that the Tian Ji Sect would be investigating on the person who bought this book. They knew that this book contained secrets and would naturally want to know where this book would eventually end up.

"Oh…so that's why!" Michael spoke out loud, Michael thought the reason why he missed the tittle on the spine of the books was because it was still covered in dust.
 
So, with newfound energy, Michael wiped the books again with his hands as there was not much of the dust left it didn't cause storm of dust like earlier.
 
However, Michael was destined to be disappointed. Even after wiping the spines of the books he still didn't found the tittle, maybe they just didn't write it on the spines, Michael positively thought.
 
So ignoring the book with the tittle on it's spine Michael took the leftmost book, weirdly the book didn't have any words on the cover too and it was clean of dust, even though Michael was a little puzzled Michael ignored it and filled with anticipation Michael opened the book but he was greeted by disappointment once again.
 
The pages was empty, even after flipping all the pages, all of them was empty. Disappointed Michael put the book back before taking out the next book and it ended with the same result, it wasn't until the book with the tittle Michael's hand stopped. With his finger tracing the word Michael slowly read it out loud "Mind Manipulation System."
 
Michael remained silent for a few seconds before laughing out loud "Pft…Bahahaha…I get it, I finally get it this guy here was a novelist or something so the empty book previously is naturally the book for him or her to write their novel and perhaps they only succeed writing this one." Michael continued to laugh for several more seconds.
 
After calming down, the first thing Michael did was not to take out the book but he looked at the rest of the book on the right side confirming that they are tittles less on their spines. Michael then looked back at the "Mind Manipulation System." Book and he took it out slowly.
 
Michael looked at the cover of the book, on the cover there was written in the same way and the same word "Mind Manipulation System." Bellow it was a picture of a brain with some kind of lightning bolt symbol around it. Michael checked the whole cover book but he didn't find some small snap of the story on the back of the book nor did he find the author name or pen name.
 
Once more Michael was filled with anticipation, so he opened the first page in there was indeed some word.
 
'Mind Manipulation System is a system that would grant you mission and reward from it, while in the mission you might be given some free cards with various attribute as tools to accomplish the mission and the reward may vary between some card and points to buy another card from the shop , some of the free cards that is used as tools would be one time use, some would be multi-use or even unlimited but this one is probably a reward or you would have too buy it and it most likely won't be a tool, maybe some would be a simple Trust Improvement Card or even Personality Change Card and just like before I would give an example of what would be impossible to be provided as tools and it would be only possible to be received from reward or the shops like Total Control Card, some of those card effect may be temporary, time limited or permanent but the permanent one was rare since it was a tool to do the mission .
 
The Mind Manipulation System also provides minor personal physical improvement but as the System name stated it is a Mind Manipulation System so the improvement would be within your races original limit and as it focused on manipulation of other's mind, also the card effect would be minim on user.

"What…!?" Michael said before he flipped to the next page and finding it empty, and just as he was about to flip the rest of the pages to confirm aside from the first page it was empty, a strong light burst from the book.
 
"AHH! FUCK YOU!!!" his voice was so loud even with the good soundproofing wall it was heard by the resident of the apartment 222 but he decided to ignore it.
 
Gradually the light went off and Michael saw that the word on the first pages disappeared and then Michael looked at the cover which magically become similar to the other book even the tittle on the spine of the book is gone.
 
"Seriously fuck you!" this time it was not as loud as previously.
 
But his disaster haven't ended when Michael was still rubbing his eyes, suddenly  a strong wind shows up out of nowhere from the door that he opened , magically and coincidentally the wind went trough the rooms that Michael have opened along with the bedroom he was currently in.
 
Magically the wind brought all of the dust  out leaving a semi clean apartment room along with the coughing Michael.
 
"Ohok…ohok!" Michael coughed his lungs out once more before stopping.
 
After stopping Michael looked at the book in his hand, instantly he was about to slam the book to the floor before pausing with the book high up in his hand and slowly lowering it down.
 
"Alright since I practically trespassing your home, I am the one on the fault." Michael said to no one before he placed the book back at the shelves.
 
Michael looked once more at the bookshelves and the book on it before he turned off the light and left the bedroom. With a slam the door was closed, while Michael was walking he noticed that the dust is actually gone, even after checking the other rooms, those rooms was actually clean, confused and a little frightened Michael walked toward the door before he looked back once more at the clean floor before he slammed the door and locking the door.

There are many stories that remained unfinished, what happened to those stories the creation of gods from higher dimension that abandoned them. 

They remained there frozen in the last chapter their creators have left them... that is unless someone took it for them to continue those stories whenever it's bad or good at least their story will continue.
