Frowning, Liu Fusheng hung up his phone. The usual supply of vegetables was always provided by Sheep, a large scale farm.

Now, that farm is facing an issue. There is an excessive amount of pesticide residues in the vegetables.

This is a very serious issue,the vegetable are not qualified to be sold in the market.

You cannot play around with customers life like this.

Not only tomorrow, but it is estimated that the next few days, they will experience a shortage in the vegetable supply. The consequences are very serious, the reputation of Qingtian Supermarket which was established over the years is now at stake.

New temporary suppliers must be found as soon as possible.

Liu Fusheng was about to make a phone call, when suddenly a young man walked over, "Excuse me, are you the Qingtian Supermarket's owner, Liu?"

He was not convinced of unknown origin.

Even the farm which provides vegetables to his supermarket goes through a strict inspection over the quality by staff sent by Liu Fusheng.

He knows that if there is even one single problem, the consequences could be devastating.

It is because of his strict and careful measures over the years, that, the Qingtian Supermarket was able to develop so smoothly.

When Ye Xiaochen heard Liu Fusheng rejecting, could not help but feel disappointed.

"Mr.Liu"

Ye Xiaochen wanted to say more, but Liu fusheng did not give him the opportunity.He directly went out of the supermarket, towards an Audi car where it was parked.

Ye Xiaochen, seeing this, estimated the att.i.tude of Liu Fusheng.

He sighed heavily. His heart felt heavy. 'The road of entrepreneurship, why is it so difficult?' he thought.

"It's ok, I can do it, I have golden fingers. I will be able to succeed."

Ye Xiaochen cheered himself and regained his confidence.

He walked back to his parked motorcycle and was about to leave.Not far from there, the audi car windows rolled down, and Liu Fusheng suddenly said "Young man,well give me your mobile phone number, if I want your vegetables, I'll give you a call."

Ye Xiaochen was slightly startled, he was pleasantly surprised. Although Liu Fusheng did not say directly about the vegetables, asking for his phone number meant there was still hope.

Liu Fusheng took the business card, gave a quick glance and threw it to the box next to the hand brake

He did not wait for Ye Xiaochen to reply and started the car.

This book uses simple characters. Ye Xiaochen is not surprised since it was bestowed by the system, certainly to be understood easily easily. Otherwise, what's the use of the book having a complex which needs to be deciphered.

He skimmed through, mainly in the Shen Nong System Basic Guide, there is a ma.s.sive foundation knowledge on planting, such as how to communicate with a plant, which is the basics of planting technique. To plant a good plant, first he must know about plant's condition.

Just like how a doctor treat an illness, first he must inquire about the physical state of the patient, then judge, and give an antidote for the disease.

However, plants are not human, they are unable to speak.Even still, every life has consciousness. The plants also have their own consciousness, so as long as you can communicate with a plant's consciousness, you can master and monitor the plant's growth properly.

The guide book itself seemed quite magical. Although the appearance is similar to a regular book, it is like a Pocket PC. Tapping the text link above with your fingers, you can enter a new page, it is very convenient.

Ye Xiaochen was deeply attracted by the knowledge written in the book, he was immersed in it completely.

Sabi ni Nadine kay Ms. Ruiz na halatang nangiinis.

Nanggagalaiti sya sa galit pero sya rin naman ang dahilan kaya sya napapahiya.

Pinilit ayusin ni Ms. Ruiz ang sarili.

I'm sorry... Nichole right?"
Sabi ni Ms. Ruiz pero halatang hindi sincere ang pag so sorry nya.

"That's Director Perdigoñez to you, Ms. Ruiz! Hindi ako nagpapatawag ng first name sa hindi ko ka close!"
Sabi ni Nichole na may katarayan.

"... and Edmund Honey, pwede bang palitan mo ng password yung elevator para hindi nagagamit ng kung sino sino lang at pakisabi linisin mabuti at dumarami ang surot sa paligid!"
Sabi nya kay Edmund.

Nasamid sila sa sinabi ni Nichole. Gusto nilang tumawa pero pinigilan nila.

"Yes Honey! Ehem ... now let's proceed!"
Sagot ni Edmund sabay hawak ng kamay ni Nichole.

Masaya syang ngayong nandito ang asawa sa tabi nya.

Natapos ang meeting na puro DENIED lahat ang suggestion ni Ms. Ruiz kaya galit na galit ito, mas lalo syang nanggagalaiti sa galit ng inannounce ni Edmund na magiging part na ng Board of Directors si Eunice kahit labag sa kalooban ni Eunice.

Sagot ng lalaki.

"Sino po?"
Nagtatakang tanong ni AJ.

"Si Fidel Franco ang pinsan ni Jaja, na ama mo!"

'Pinsan ng Papa?'

"Nasaan po sya, bakit nya ako gustong makausap at bakit kailangan kayo pa po ang magpunta at hindi sya ang personal na nagpunta dito?"
Tanong ni AJ.

"Dahil nakakulong sya ngayon!"
Sagot ni Atty. Rico.

Nagulat si AJ. Wala syang alam tungkol sa pamilya ng ama nyang si Jaja.

"AJ, panahon na para magkausap kayo ni Fidel!"

Dahil sa sinabi ni Atty. Rico, na curious si AJ.

First time nyang makakakilala ng kamaganak ng father nya. Ang alam nya namatay silang lahat sa sunog kaya sino itong Fidel Franco na 'to?

Sumama sya sa kulungan para ma meet si Fidel Franco.

"Atty. Paano nga po pala sila naging magpinsan ng Papa?"
Tanong ni AJ habang hinihintay si Fidel.

"Anak sya ng kapatid ng mother ni Jaja, kaya magpinsan silang buo.

Namatay ng maaga ang mga magulang at kapatid ni Fidel dahil sa lindol, nagkataong nasa school sya kaya sya nakaligtas.

Simula nuon ay kinupkop na sya ng lolo at lola mo kaya lumaki silang magkasama ng father mo!"

Naintindihan na ngayon ni AJ.

"Ikaw si AJ, Right? Hehehehe!"
Nakangiting sabi ni Fidel pagkapasok pa lang sa visiting room. 

"Sa wakas, nagbalik na ang anak ni Jaja!"
Kitang kita ang kasiyahan sa mukha nya.

"Sir Fidel, papaano nyo po nasiguro na ako nga ang anak ni Jaja?"
Tanong ni AJ.

"May hawig ka sa kanya! Pareho kayo kung tumingin parang malalim ang iniisip at pati tindig at mannerism nya mukhang nakuha mo rin! Parang muling nabuhay si Insan sa'yo!"
Nangingilid ang mga luha sa mata ni Fidel.

"Pero, hindi ko naman po kamukha ang Papa!"
Sabi ni AJ

Nakita na nya ang mga pictures ng ama pero hindi nga nya makita na magkamukha sila, although may resemblance.

"Anong hindi, kahawig mo kaya ang Papa mo nung bata pa sya mas maamo nga lang ang mga mata mo. Nakuha mo kasi ang mata ng Mama mo. Hehe!"
Sabi ni Fidel.

"Sir Fidel?"

"Kanina ka pa Sir ng Sir dyan! Tawagin mo akong Uncle Fidel."

"Uncle Fidel ... hindi ko po kasi maintindihan, bakit nyo po ako gustong makausap? May kailangan po ba kayo sa akin?"

"Nabalitaan ko kasing may bumili ng winery ni Jaja at ng paimbestigahan ko, ikaw ang tinutukoy nila."

"Pinaimbestigahan nyo po ako? Bakit po?"

"Dahil hindi pwedeng mapunta sa iba ang farm at winery na yun. Ang anak lang ni Jaja ang may karapatan sa farm at winery na yun, at IKAW yun AJ!"

"Ang winery po ba ang dahilan kaya nyo ako pinatawag?"

"Hindi lang ang winery AJ, pati ang Hacienda Remedios! Panahon na para ang lahat ng iyon ay maibalik sa tunay na Raquiñon! Kaya gusto kitang makausap dahil gusto kitang tulungan, uunahin natin ang farm at winery tapos ang Hacienda Remedios!"

"Tutulungan nyo po ako?"

"Oo iho! Alam kong malaki ang problema sa farm ngayon matapos pigain ni Conrado ang yaman nito. At alam ko ring lubog sa utang ang farm!"

Totoo ang lahat ng sinabi ni Fidel, lubog talaga sa utang ang farm lalo na at hindi yata nagbabayad ng mga bills at buwis si Conrado.

Para nga raw sya kumuha ng bato na ipupokpok sa ulo nya.

Sa ngayon ang inaasahan nya lang ay ang sweldo nya at ang parte nya sa TAMBAYAN restaurant kaya unti unti na nyang nababayaran ang gabundok na bills.

At ang kinikita ng farm ngayon ang ginagamit naman nilang pangaraw araw na gastusin.

Alam nyang mahirap, pero hindi nya pwedeng ideny, nasisiyahan sya sa ginagawa nya.

So far, dalawang branches na ang TAMBAYAN at may plan silang magtayo ng isa pa sa Cebu kung saan malapit ang farm ni Jaja. Plus, inistart na nya ang TAMBAYAN Herb's and Spice na personal condiments recipé ni AJ.

Kaya siguro malakas ang loob nya, alam nyang kahit anong mangyari sa farm, hindi sya basta magugutom.

"Paano nyo po ako matutulungan?"
Tanong ni AJ kay Fidel.

"Attorney!"

Inilabas ni Atty Rico ang bank book, hindi lang isang bank book kundi anim na bank book!

"Ito ang bank book ni Jaja, ito naman ang sa Mama mo at sa kapatid mo. At ito ang bank book ng lolo mo saka ito naman ang sa'yo! Itinago ko lahat yan para ibigay ko sa pagbalik mo!"

Nagulat si AJ.

Bakit nyo po ito ibinibigay sa akin?"
Hindi makapaniwala si AJ.

"Dahil sa'yo lahat yan! Mas marami pa sana yan kung hindi sana ako nakulong agad! Humihingi ako ng tawad at hindi ko sya nagawang ingatan lahat!"
Malungkot na sabi ni Fidel.

Nakaramdam din si AJ ng lungkot ng makita ang lungkot ni Fidel.

"Uncle Fidel, pasensya na po kung itatanong ko pero, pwede ko po bang malaman kung bakit po kayo nakulong?" 

"Dahil ako ang pumatay sa taong pumatay sa mga magulang mo at hindi ko pinagsisihan iyon!"

Ang sabi nila, ang totoong kagandahan daw ay nakikita sa kabutihan ng puso ng isang nilalang.

Ganyan ko tingnan ang mundo kahit na ang nasa paligid ko ay puno ng pangungutya at balatkayo at ang tanging mahalaga lang ay ang sasabihin ng ibang tao.

Bakit kasi may pamantayan ang ganda sa paningin ng karamihan.

Sabi nila mataba daw ako
Sabi nila hindi daw maganda ang kulay ko dahil hindi ako gaanong maputi
Sabi nila makapal daw ang labi ko at dahil dito maraming nagsasabi
na hindi daw ako maganda.

Pero wala akong pakialam sa sabi nila dahil ang sabi ng Lola ko, ang tunay na kagandahan daw ay kung paano mo tingnan ang sarili mo dahil kung maganda raw ang tingin ko sa sarili ko gaganda rin ang tingin ng nasa paligid ko!

Xinya could only let out a silent laugh at Melting Snow's words, but he could admit that the child was right. He really should read the journal to activate the DEV's quest.
The quicker he starts it, the more of the mini-quests he can get done before he becomes busy with other things, such as fixing his farm. But even though this was a good idea, he foresaw a problem.
'How am I going to read a book and look where I'm going at the same time?' Xinya pondered as he turned his attention back towards his interface. 'I guess I should try anyway, and if I start tripping over my own feet, I can always use Melting Snow as my seeing-eye puppy.'
While laughing at the ridiculous idea of Melting Snow leading him along by the hand, Xinya pulled up his inventory. After scrolling through the various objects, he had inside, he finally found the journal. 
As he tapped on it to take it out of his inventory, a pop up appeared with two options. They were Manually and Virtually. 
Wondering what these options meant, Xinya clicked on the small question mark on the top left corner of the pop-up box and began to read. 
Manually: Do you like the feeling of reading a book the old fashioned way, then this option is for you. Sit back in a nice comfy chair and start reading.
Virtually: Do you like reading on the go? Then download the contents of your book to your interface. You can read it on the screen, or the text can be converted to audio. *Except for quest items, the book will be destroyed with this option.
Xinya was glad he read the information options, even though reading the journal using the Virtually option would be helpful to him. There was still a chance that the book might be destroyed.
Although the journal was the trigger for the Dev's quest, he didn't think it was a quest object. Usually, when an item is a quest object, it is labeled that way, but the journal was not. 
Sighing to himself, he decided to risk it, since the information inside would still be available to him anyway.
Pressing the Virtually option, Xinya watched as the leather-bound journal in his inventory began to sparkle. This lasted for a couple of seconds before he got a system prompt.

To his surprise, the journal didn't disappear at all and was still completely intact. 'Maybe DEV quest objects are different from the normal ones.'
Shrugging, Xinya clicked off his inventory and found the reading material icon. Once he opened it, he tapped on the digital cover and watched as the first entry of Song Lingchen's journal appeared on his transparent screen.
 3rd day of Autumn, ZhouXia Dynasty year 22.
Dearest Journal,
I have been married to my darling Ling for almost a week now. The contentment I feel now that we are wedded courses throughout my entire being. From the first day we met all those years ago, I knew we were perfect for each other.
I will not let her regret the day she became my wife. With my words as my vow, I promise to make her proud of me.
Using the farm that my parents gifted to us on our wedding day, I will become a successful entrepreneur that my sweet Ling believes that I can be. 
My apprenticeship under Huang Xiaoming's father won't go to waste. I will turn this pile of dirt into a giant fortune. 
'So, the farm was a wedding gift,' Xinya thought as he scrolled down to the next entry.
 14th day of Autumn, ZhouXia Dynasty year 22.
Dearest Journal,
Sadly, I had come across a mild setback when I was getting the soil ready to farm. A neighboring farm owner came to welcome us, as I was greeting, he noticed that the earth was odd-looking and suggested that it might be clay soil. 
As he was a stranger to me and may have some illicit intentions, I thanked him kindly for his insight and proceeded to check it out myself.
Bottling up some of the soil, I rode to town to see a geological specialist. Only to learn that what my neighbor said was correct. It was Clay soil.
This small setback won't deter me, though. The geological specialist gave a great solution; it will just cost a few more coins than I have. But that is what loans are for.
Xinya, who was completely inept with the different aspects of farming, was confused as to why clay soil was terrible. But luckily for him, his interface was one step ahead of him and made it so he could access more information about it. 
Tapping on the word, he began to read:
Clay is the smallest particle amongst the other two types of soil. The particles in this soil are tightly packed together with each other with very little or no airspace. This soil has excellent water storage qualities and makes it hard for moisture and air to penetrate into it. It is very sticky to the touch when wet, but smooth when dried. Clay is the densest and heaviest type of soil that does not drain well or provides space for plant roots to flourish.
 After reading about how hard it is to grow anything in clay soil, Xinya became curious about how the NPC had solved that particular problem. Scrolling down, he continued reading all the entries.
He uncovered a lot about the NPC who owned the farm before him. He learned that the NPC had big dreams of making money with his wife, but even after fixing the clay soil problem, the quality of the produce he grew was terrible. 
The farm started to hemorrhage money; the more coins they put into it, the less they got in return. Their marriage suffered because of it, but one day the NPC had an idea.
He was going to use the little bit of money he had left and would turn this farm of his to a vineyard to make and sell wine. At first, this idea failed as well, because no matter what he did, his wines never tasted right. 
Not wanting to give up, the NPC planted some seeds that a friend gave him along with some other fruit and created a new wine. But it was also a failure, knowing that nobody would want to buy it; he poured it into his fertilizer. 
In his own words, he did it because, in his mind, that was where shit belongs. 
While using that same fertilizer, which he poured the wine in on his plants, he saw something amazing happened. The plants that he used that exact fertilizer on quality became magnificent to the point that the market he was selling them to was begging him to let them buy.
Seeing how exceptional the fertilizer he created was, the NPC begins using that mixture on all of his plants. The produce he grew became so famous among the populace that all the stores only wanted to buy from his farm. 
Reading up to that point, Xinya realized that the NPC must have created a special fertilizer with the wine he made. He hoped that the NPC left the recipe for it somewhere, but as he scrolled down to the last entry of the journal, he was disappointed.
 25th day of Spring, ZhouXia Dynasty year 26.
Dearest Journal,
I have finally kept my promise to my sweet Ling, we are living the lives we dreamt of. Unfortunately, we have received a lot of hate from the other farm owners.
Only my close friend and neighbor are still civil with us, but lately, even he has been giving me the evil eye. Especially when I denied him the right to know the secret of my success.
Although I don't mind sharing it with my friend, my wife asked me to wait until we saved up enough capital to do so. I also believe that would be the best course of action.
I think winter would be long enough, and I can give him the recipe as a New Year gift. Until then, the formula will stay locked up tight in my brain.
As Xinya read the last word of the entry, a familiar ding sounded:

Xinya just ignored everyone, with a knowing smile he just paid them no mind because he knew they would be eating their words soon.

morvous was waiting for his guest in his hall.Then an old man with grey hair walked out of the floo place. Looking at him morvous was shocked and said 
" You !! How could it be you " .
" Oh young master still remember's this old one" said the old man.
" I was not expecting you butler John ,  is there something so important that you had to come. Unless it is very important clan patriarch will never send you ".
" Smart as always young master. Old master has a order for you, which you cannot refuse. Before that I need to ask how are you doing young master ?? . And it seems you live here alone" said butler John while looking around as if he was trying find something.

" I am fine butler John. It would be better if you could explain me about your reason for visit " 
" It's been more than 10 years since me or any of your family members met you. So I was curious.  Now then old master has called upon clan meeting where every living clan member should be present at the manor. If anyone defies the order he/she will be excommunicated" said butler John
Hearing the order from morvous entire body became stiff. With stern face he  looked at butler John and asked
" Excommunication this butler John is this order for only me or for every member of the clan"  morvous asked in fear.
" It's a message for every member" said John
" Ok I will attend the meeting. When is it "
" Tomorrow at 1 pm and one more thing bring him to gaunt farm before you join the gathering it's order from old master" said John with a smirk on his face.
Morvous face became ugly and asked,  " his safety and I don't want anyone to hurt him".
" Young master ,old master promised no harm will come to him. At that time in  farm other than me no one will be present" 
" Ok butler John I will bring him to farm tomorrow"
" One last thing young master, did he invoke magic ??" Asked butler john
With a sad and grim expression morvous said " he did not invoke magic in him and he doesn't speak parseltongue".
" ok,I will take my leave young master" said John and moved near the floo place.
" By the way young master only old master and I know about him" said John

After having dinner at  Maria's house. Both father and son left for there house.

Upon hearing the man's voice the boy then runs quick to the man's caravan with an exited expression written on his face while waving his small hands so that the man can notice him. The old man then stare at the boy and ask "do you know how to read?" the boy was speechless at this point for he know to himself that he doesn't know how to read but he really wants to own a book so he said "yes I know how" the old man then open the first page of the torn small hand size book and said "try to read this for this old man has a bad eye on reading" the old man then hand the damage book to the boy. The boy hold the book with his small both hands here he sees a brownish color of the page in the book and the letter that have a color black inks. He tried to read the first word in the book but he was so blank that words wont came out on his mouth. The boy grabs tightly the book and said to the old man with a fear in his word "to be honest sir I can't really read" the old man then said to him with a calm expression "I know that you can't read but boy you don't need to lie about it" he then smile. The boy then shouted "father father" while waving his hand his father then notice that someone is calling him so he turn his head and look to the direction where it came from. There he saw his son running while waving his left hand while his other hand is holding a stick. After some minute his son come near him and try to copy what's his doing by using a stick. He said to his son "Alron your becoming strong every day look at you. You smash the soil using your wooden stick" the boy then looks his father with a proud expression and continues to smash his stick to the soil. The sun is tired and it was falling as sleep the surroundings where becoming dark on the farm there's a lot of people falling a line to get their pay of two silver for it was payment time. Most software works on this principle so this technology is a game-changer. If Fu Yan intended to sell this technology, many companies would pay millions of US dollars to use it.

She Called Fu Yan after finalizing the deal but he was not picking up.
She called again after some time thinking "He Might be busy" but he still did not pick up.
Now She was getting worried because Fu Yan still did not pick up his phone after she called a 3rd time.
This has never happened before because Fu Yan would send her a message if he was busy that "I Will call you later" but she had not received any message so she decided to go check personally.
She went to the house that was rented by Fu Yan and just when she was about to ring the doorbell, The lock opened on its own.
She went in after hesitating a bit.
The server room was making a huge noise because the Fans were spinning at a high speed and the temperature in the house was also a 4 to 5 degree higher than outside.
The Ac was running on full but the temperature was still not coming down.
Fei Hong was a little surprised upon entering the house but she soon calmed herself down and looked towards the room where Fu Yan used to work.
Just outside the room, she could hear beeping noise coming from the room.

Matt, still shocked from finding out about Tam Lin's death, walk home the left morning from the woods. "Mi Vida!" yelled Celia from across the courtyard. "Where have you been?" Immediately, she demanded him to take a shower and get dressed in "more proper" clothes. "Since you are the new El Patron," she said, "we have to keep you looking nice. Many people will still be sceptical." After Matt was dressed, he was immediately rushed off to a meeting to discuss his next actions. He had never liked being this busy, especially since the time Celia told him too hide if something "bad" happened. So, he rushed to the meeting room where Daft Donald, the Farm Patrol, and Tom were sitting. The room was huge with white and gold pillars every now and then, with a large birch table in the middle. It was surprisingly musty. "Why is Tom here?" Matt thought. "Actually, I don't want the farm patrol here either." But, Tom had become very high ranking after El Patron's death. He was dressed in white suit with formal boots. And the Farm Patrol had too much power to be resisted. They all wore black coats. Of course, his first action was to try to wake up the eejits, but he knew the Farm Patrol would try to stop him. He would need time to examine them, but how would he do that without the farm patrol seeing him? "Hello El Patron," said a member of the Farm Patrol in a repulsed way.
"Don't call me that." Matt ordered. 
"What is your first order of business?" asked another member of the Farm Patrol
"Since when did we need to take order from him? Tom said rudely.
"Since when I had the power to have you escorted out of opium." Matt said.
"My father won't allow that!" Tom yelled.
With this remark, the Farm Patrol seemed upset in a manner, but did not take any action. Daft donald seemed furious, but did not have the power to do much. The rest of the morning and evening was spent speaking of things that Matt hardly understood. When the meeting finally ended, Matt went to his room and ordered an eejit slave. He had refused to move to El Patron's chamber, and stayed in his small apartment with Celia. After a minute, an eejit walked into his room. He was startled to see that the eejit given was Rosa.
"How may I help you, sir?" She asked.
Was it really a she anymore? Was it really human? It seemed that what made a human a human was striped out of her, and her blank eyes stared into nothingness.
"Wake up" Matt said.
Nothing happened.
"Become normal"
Nothing.
"Disable brian chip"
Nothing.
He tried some other things, but none of them worked. He decided that the best way to handle this was to program the brain chip to turn itself off, or take it out directly.
"If I take the chip out, will it cause permanent damage? Has it already caused damage? If I turn it off, will leaving it in the brain cause damage?" Matt thought.
Later that night, he told Celia about how he wanted to help the eejits. She told him that the people, and especially the farm patrol, wouldn't like the eejits being fixed, and would try to stop him. She told him to try to conceal his actions.
"Okay," he said.
He decided that in order to turn them off, he would need to study about them. It was too risky to try to disable one directly, and kill one. He also needed to do it in private because of Celia's warning.
The next day, he decided to go to the eejit pens. He wanted to examine if they had any other features that could help him determine at least where the chip was in the brain. The place still reeked of an indescribable smell, and the sludge pit dug in the sand still remained. After walking for a bit, he saw an eejit walking around. When the eejit saw him, it charged him and attempted to grab him. Matt pushed away the man, who had black hair, and the same lifeless eyes of Rosa. The eejit came at him again, and grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the sludge pit. His feet dragged in the slimy sand. He used all his strength and ripped the eejit off his arm, right before he was thrown in. Matt pushed the eejit into the sludge, and it drowned. After this, he decided to go home, and did not tell Celia what happened.
He pondered who ordered the eejit to attack him during dinner, but tried not to make it obvious he was thinking about something. He went to bed that night worried. He wondered if he should hide again. He told himself he was stronger than that, and that he could free the eejits.
The next day, he went to the huge collection of El Patron's books. The place was dank and dusty, and he could hardly see the walls from the piles of books. There was very little light in the room, but there was an old chair with stuffing coming out of the arms, accompanied by an old-fashioned lamp. He walked around the room for a while, and eventually found a book by "The Anti Slavery Association" titled "A Guide to Eejits." On the front of the book was a note saying "Make sure these stop being published, and burn the ones that already have been." In El Patron's handwriting. The book reminded him of the one Tam Lin had given him. Tears built up in his eyes, but he held them back. "No," He thought, "Ii have to be strong. He would have wanted me to be strong." He let out a quit sob, and tears hit the note on the cover. "He would want me to save them" he whispered. He turned to the first page, to find the table of contents. He looked through the chapter names until he found the one titled "How the Implants Affect the Brain" And the chapter after that, "How They could be removed." He turned to the page listed, but found that both chapters were torn out. He searched, but could not find them. He searched for hours until he came across the fireplace. It had not been used in years, but there was still ashes inside. He saw a page in the ashes. After pulling it out, he saw a diagram of the mind of the eejit, where the implant was, and notes on removal. All he needed to do now was find a trusted bunch of surgeons. This was nearly impossible, considering most of the best tried to kill him, and not help at all. As he walked out, he saw a small area near the roof that there were no books there. After closer examination he saw that it was a hidden camera. He ran from the room, and went to Celia. He told her that he knew how to remove it, but needed someone to do it. 
"Over the border, there would be people willing to help," She said, "but we could never get there without people noticing."
He spent most of the night thinking, but could find nothing. He decided to finally go to sleep, and worry about it tomorrow. He thought that rest might help him think better.
That night, he was awoken by a wiring sound. He opened his eyes to see a light getting brighter, and it illuminated a black coated figure, a little taller than he was. He rolled of his bed and landed on the hard floor. The bed was blown to sinders by the weapon. The person realized that he had missed, and started to change the energy cell to fire again. Matt stood up, and nearly knocked over the virgin, and threw the nearest thing at the mercenary. Now he had realized had had thrown the book that Tam Lin had given him. He regretted his decision at first, but realized he had knocked the gun out of the mercenary's hand. The culprit ran, and Matt was left by himself. Celia came running into the room.
"Mi Vida!" She yelled. "Are you okay?"
The room was cleaned up the next day, and Matt found the bear he had treasured a long time ago. The right ear had been sewed back on before, but now it was charred some. He was glad to see it was okay. 
The mercenary's gun was examined, and was found to have fingerprints from the farm patrol and Tom. Matt told detective about the eejit that attacked him, and they said that Tom or the Farm Patrol could have ordered it to attack him. He was told he had the rights to turn them into eejits.
"No," Matt said. "I would rather them help me fix them"
"They are guilty now," said the detective, "You can do what you want with them, El Patron."
"Don't call me that." Said Matt, "Please tell them of their punishment as soon as possible."

In another part of the kingdom, there is a farmhouse in an open field just off a road. Two rough looking men are sitting on the farm house porch playing cards. One man has a spear and the other man has an axe. The axe man spots someone walking on the road, it's Guy.
Guy looks to be in his mid-20s and is an average sized man for his age. He has brown hair, and light hazel eyes. He looks rough with unshaven facial hair and unwashed clothes, and he has a normal-looking sword on his back. 
Guy walks with his hands in his pockets. The two men smile to one another and run up behind him, "Hey you, turn around!"
Guy turns around, the two men have their weapons pointing at him, "Look, I'm just passing through."
The axe men has a cocky grin on his face, "Yea well, there is a toll for passing this farm, so pay up!" He raises his axe.
Inside the farmhouse are two more men and a kid. They have ravaged the farm house, drinking and eating everything they could grab. The Gang has also taken the owner of the farm hostage. The largest of the men yells at the old Farmer, "Bring me some more food!" Suddenly, they all hear screaming and yelling outside. The large mans and his goons quickly grab their gear and rush outside. The old farmer run to the window to watch. The gang walk outside to see Guy standing over the axe and spear man, who are knocked out or possibly even dead. 
The gang leader is pissed, "No one jumps my gang and gets away with it!" The gang leader signals to the archer next to him. The archer fires an arrow at Guy. Guy moves his head out of the way and the arrow flies past him. The archer quickly fires 3 more arrows, and again Guy casually moves around them. The large man snatches the bow out of the archers hand and gives him a sword. The archer looks at the gang leader questionably. The gang leader reassures him, "You got this!" The archer charges after Guy and tries to strick him, but Guy kicks him in the chest. The force of that one kick sends the archer flying across the yard like a flat rock skipping on water. The large man steps out of the way as the archer flies past him. The farmer watches in amazement from the farm house.
The large man grits his teeth, "You'll regret messing with us!" The gang leader pulls out a magic book and takes a deep dramatic breath. The book reacts and begins to spark. Guy notices the magic book and grins. "You little shit! I'll wipe that stupid smirk of your face!" The large man shouts. He fires lighting from his book, hitting Guy and causing a huge explosion. The gang leader turns to his last gang member, who is just a kid, "See, he wasn't so big and bad." The large man looks up and sees Guy unharmed, "That's not possible!"
Guy moves across the yard faster than a blink of an eye, and upper cuts the large man. Guy smiles proudly, "HA! I didn't get a single scratch on me-" Suddenly, Guy is hit in the back of the head with the flat end of a sword by the kid. Guy turns around and knocks the sword out of the kid's hands, "What the hell did you do that for?!" The kid starts crying. Guy responds, "Oh stop crying, kid! I didn't even hit you!" The kid runs away, "You better run! Pick better friends, you punk!" Guy continues down the road, scratching the new bump on his head. The farmer stumbles out of the farm house, amazed at what he just witnessed.
Later the same day, in Sansen...
Sansen is a town like Tarrif, surrounded by a wall with a castle in the middle. At the castle, one of the side doors opens and out walks a young woman. It's Lane Sansen, she walks across the castle yard and stops at the gate. Lane pulls out two muffins and hands them to the gate guards. The guards are pleasantly surprised, "Thank you, my lady."
Lane smiles, "You're welcome" Lane is 18 years old, she has blonde hair and light green eyes, and looks to be average height for her age. She is wearing expensive clothing and jewelry, she clearly comes from a noble family. Lane waves goodbye as she heads into town, "Have a good day." Lane spots an older gentlemen driving a horse and carriage, "Hello Mr. Clayton, could I get a ride?"
Mr. Clayton smiles, "Yes, of course, my lady, hop on." Lane hops on the back of the carriage as it drives into town.
After a short ride, Lane jumps off the carriage and waves Mr. Clayton goodbye. Lane has made it to the market district. The area is packed full of people. Lane takes a deep breath, breathing in the summer air. A smile comes over her face, and she runs food stand to food stand, trying everything. In her excitement, Lane accidently runs into a townswoman. The townswoman falls over and drop her groceries, "Hey! Watch where you're going."
Lane quickly helps her up, "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
Lane begins to help pick up her things, the townswoman notices who she is, "Lane Sansen! Forgive me, my lady. I didn't realize it was you."
Lane quickly responds, "Oh, no need to apologize, I ran into you."
The townswoman curiously asks, "My lady, what is the Warden's daughter doing out here?"

"I came to see all of this, of course." Says Lane as she helps the townswoman of the ground. Lane points at all the people walking around the town, "Seeing it from the castle is just not the same."
"I suppose it is beautiful," says the townswoman. Lane buys the townswoman a fresh piece of bread. The townswoman appreciates Lane's kindness, "Thank you, my lady."
Two guards spot Lane in the crowd and quickly run up to her, "My lady, your father is waiting for you in the throne room."
Lane's eyes widen, she turns to the townswoman, "Have a nice day." The townswoman awkwardly waves goodbye as Lane runs away with the guards.
Sansen a few minutes later...
Guy walks into Sansen all the way to the castle gate, which is still being guarded by the two men enjoying Lane's snacks. Guy ignores them, but the two guards cut him off. "Excuse me, you can't just walk in." the guards explain with a mouth full of food.
Guy points towards the castle, "l'm here to talk to the Warden."
The guard holds out his hand, "Do you have an official summons?"
Guy digs through his pockets and then shrugs and awkwardly laughs, "I guess I forgot it."
Back to Lane, she rushes into the Warden's throne room. Lane's father, the warden of Sansen, is waiting for her on his throne. Lane sits next to him. "Lane, you're late," says the warden under his breath.
Lane whispers back, "Sorry Dad."
"Alright, send in the next one," announces the warden. The guards open the front doors, but no one comes in. Suddenly, a voice shouts from the ceiling, "I'm here! Sorry, the guards wouldn't let me in." Everyone looks up, Guy has climbed up the side of the castle and into a window. He slips and falls 30 feet to the ground. Everyone gasps, but Guy gets up just fine. The guards quickly surrounded Guy, "Whoa hold on, The Warden invited me here! I'm here to take down a local gang?"
The warden raises his hand, "Stand down!"
Lane protests, "Dad, he just broke into the castle!"
Her father calmly replied, "It's fine. I said stand down. Who are you?"
Guy approaches the Warden, "My name is Guy."
The warden isn't satisfied, "Guy who?"
Guy replies, "Just Guy."
"Forgive me, Guy, but I hired a "team" of mercenaries to take down a gang, not just one," says the warden.
Guy knew he would be asked about that, "My team agreed this was a one-person job, but we still expect full payment."
Outside the castle, the old farmer crutches through Sansen. He limps past the gate guards, who are now being yelled at for letting Guy break in. The old man heads towards the castle.
Inside the throne room, the warden has come to a decision, "You have no proof you're a part of the team I hired, however I only sent that team a summons for this mission, on this day, and at this time. As strange as this is, I doubt it is a coincidence. Here is the job. There is a gang outside of town who has taken over a small farm. We'd send our own soldiers, but well the leader of the gang has a powerful magic book, far more powerful than any of our soldiers' magic-"
Guy interrupts, "Oh yea, I ran into them on the way here, I already took care of them."
Lane finally speaks out, "This is a scam! Why should we believe you?"
"It's not a scam," says Guy.
"Do you have proof of your claims?" asks Lane.
Suddenly, one of the large doors opens and the old farmer walks in, "My farm is saved! A young man came by and took them all out! It was amazing, he took the full force of a magic book and survived." The old man notices Guy, "It was this man!" Lane is speechless.
Guy smiles, "Told you it wasn't a scam."
Moments later...
The Warden and Lane are standing on a balcony, watching as Guy leaves town with his payment. The warden gives Lane a look. Lane sighs, "I'm sorry dad, but he just seemed like a criminal."
The warden chuckles, "Yes, he did seem like a criminal. Lane, did you think I would have paid him the money with no proof? You need to trust your father."
Lane quickly replies, "I do trust you dad."
The warden looks down at Sansen. "Trust is the most important thing you will need when you become the Warden. This position means nothing if you don't have the trust of your people."
"Me becoming Warden." Says Lane under her breath. The thought makes Lane nervous.
The Warden smiles and hugs Lane, "Don't worry, you have plenty of time to learn. I'm not going anywhere."
Later that night...
Lane is in her room scared. Suddenly there is a loud bang on her bedroom door. Lane quickly hides in the corner of her room. The door is kicked open by two soldiers carrying the warden, who is wounded and bleeding from his chest. "Dad! What happened to you?" Lane yells. She helps her father on to the bed and quickly takes a magic book from her dresser. She opens and activates the book and begins to heal her dad.
The warden knows the wound is too deep. "There is no time...Lane, save your strength...you need to run."
Lane begins to tear up, hear breathing is interrupted, and her magic flickers. "No, Dad, let me heal you!" Lane begs.
Her father pushes her healing hand away, "You must go for help! Send a message to the capital, tell them an army of monsters has attacked." He turns to the guards, "Get her out of here."
The warden is interrupted by the sound of foot steps down the hall. The two soldiers draw their swords and magic books and leave the room, closing the door behind them. The Warden thinks quickly, "Lane, go out the window!"
Lane glances at the window, then back at her father, "Dad, what about you?"
The Warden hears the two soldiers outside being killed, "I'll be fine! GO!" Lane grabs her book and opens the window. The warden takes one more look at his daughter as she climbs out the window and closes it behind her.
The warden hears foot steps and turns towards the bedroom door, it opens and Lieutenant 2 steps in. "Hello Warden, you're a hard man to find."
The warden is shocked to see the Lieutenant's blue skin, "Who are you?"
Lieutenant 2 smiles, "I am the Lieutenant, I'm here for the key."
The Warden doesn't respond. Lieutenant 2's smile leaves his face, "Silence speaks volumes Warden."
The warden gets angry, "You think I'll give you what you want after what you've done to my people!"
Lieutenant 2 shows his sword, "I'll get the information out of you one way or another."
The Warden of Sansen laughs and chokes on his own blood, "You're threatening a dying man!"
Lieutenant 2 doesn't like being laughed at, "I can make your death a lot more painful!" Lane hears her father being stabbed, she lets out a gasp. Lieutenant 2 glances at the window. 
The warden quickly gets his attention, "Alright, I'll tell you. The key is under the castle in the old ruins. Good luck getting to it, the tunnel entrances are collapsed. No one has seen that key in a hundred years."
Lieutenant 2 smiles again, "Thank you, warden" Lane hears her dad being stabbed once more, the Warden of Sansen is dead.
