" Rules about abilities, and their influence on your character and economy:
1. There are two types of abilities: active and passive. Active ones you will have to activate for it's effect to be executed, while passive ones will activate automatically as soon as conditions for it are met.
Some passives may become active abilities in safe areas.
2.Every Ability will have tag that will say if it can be used by melee or range characters. When you choose your first ability you'll hero will become melee or ranged based on that tag.
WARNING:
Even if you later change your first ability, you can't change your attack type from melee to range or vice versa.
3.For every adventurer natural growth rate of his/hers main stats is 1. Every ability will add to it. Average amount every ability will add is 1.5. You can freely chose which main stat will be your primary stat.
4.You can try out all abilities until the game starts without any permanent changes, but when game starts whatever ability you have selected will count as your's first ability.
If you say time counter will be shown to you. When counter reaches zero game of 'Reality' will start.
5. Until level 50 you can have up to max of 3 abilities. At level 50 you will be allowed to purchase ultimate.
6. Purchasing and removing abilities:
--- You can remove any ability but there will be no re-founds.
---  Every ability has its base cost.
--- Your character has ability cost counter(ACC) on top left corner of your picture. Now it says 1X.
--- This means that your first ability will cost you 1 * Base cost of ability.
When you buy any ability that counter will go up for 1.
Which means your second ability will cost 2 * Base cost.
Ultimate abilities will double the value of the ability cost counter (ACC) instead of adding just 1 to it.
--- removing any abilities will not lower the value of ACC
--- so be careful when choosing your abilities.

After tutorial ended screen full of abilities was presented to me. There had to be thousands of them that I saw while I was scrolling down. Some were grayed out because their cost were astronomical. We as a team had 5000 gold altogether and some abilities cost over 10 grand, wow just saw one that's over 20 grand.
To say that I was overwhelmed would be understatement, but even so smile crept out on my face with a thought of exploring this new magnificent world.
As everyone was discussing how cool some abilities are I decided on our next move.
- Everyone as a team we have 5000 gold, I want of everyone to come up with several combinations of abilities for hole team that they think would be best for all of us. It doesn't meter if someone gets 3000 gold ability and someone 200 one. Whats important is to find best combination that will lead to our survival and growth. We will all meet at my house in 2 days. Novis was looking at the mass of people in the hall, many of them were watching the fight around the arenas. You could tell apart the contestants from the audience because the contestants had a white sticker across with a number on them. Similar to marathon runners. Some of the contestants were even off to the side practising with wooden or blunt swords. 

"Look at all the people playing, Some of them are even younger than me," Novis said while staring at what looked like a ten year old swinging his sword.

A match had just finished and two numbers were called out over the speaker. Then two people who were watching the match climbed into the capsules starting a brand new game against each other. The system they had was quick and efficient and wasted no time. 

Novis looked around and was surprised to see a lot of adults at a VGW tournament for kids. The adults were even more nervous than the kids.

"Hey, Arthur don't you think all of this is incredible?"

"Yes, there are so many children here. I can see it in there eyes. These children have the same passion to improve their sword skills as I did. With this, it gives me hope to believe that swordsmanship will always exist in one way or another."

Novis started to look around moving his head side by side as if he was looking for someone. "Hey, I wonder if Lucas joined this event, I can't see him anywhere."

Novis kept bumping into people as he was walking around. "There are too many people, there's no way I could find him even if he was here."

Arthur wasn't paying attention to what Novis was doing but was watching one of the matches take place in a ring nearby.

"The person in red is in trouble, he's looking for a chance to counter when he should be using speed against his opponent," Arthur said. 

Novis went over the ring to look at the game, Each character had a different coloured sash, one wearing red the other wearing blue. This was implemented in case the contestants picked the same character.

Novis could see what Arthur was talking about, the person in red was only blocking. As if he was waiting for the perfect opportunity to counter. The character in blue was using a powerhouse character, it focused mainly on attack power. These type of characters were slow so it was best to counter them with speed. 

"Red is going to lose if he keeps waiting for a counter, he needs to use his speed." Novis was simply just repeating what Arthur had said. 

A woman who was also watching the match had overhead Novis. 

"Did you just say my son was going to lose!" She went and grabbed Novis by his shirt. 

"I was just talking to myself, I'm sorry." 

As the two were arguing Red ended up losing, he never got a chance to counterattack. 

The women started to shake Novis harder. "See you jinxed my son, how is he meant to get noticed now!"

Security had quickly come over to try to calm down the situation but the mother was screaming saying her son deserved a second chance. 

Just then, a man in a suit appeared, he had blonde hair that was split parting and was wearing glasses. 

The venue security went over to the man and bowed down to him. 
"Sorry, the situation has gotten a little out of hand Mr Lally." 

Mr lally put his hands on the security guards shoulder and lifted him back to a normal standing position. "Don't worry about it, I will handle this, can you tell me what happened?"

"The mother is demanding a rematch, saying that this boy had swayed the results of the match due to his words."

"What did he say?" 

The mother then interrupted the security guard. "He said my boy was going to lose! that he was stupid." 

Novis was getting annoyed he didn't mind getting punished but not for something he didn't do or say. "That's a lie, I said if he needed to stop looking for a counter and use his speed."

Mr Lally then went up to one of the capsules. He stood there for a moment and pressed a few buttons. Then the two holograms. The same two characters that were fighting were doing it again. It was a replay the match that had just happened. 

As Mr Lally was watching the match he had come to the same conclusion as Novis, that the red sash needed to stop looking for a counter and focus on speed. Mr Lally thought it was unusual for a kid to have that much insight from just watching a game, only pros or top tier players like himself could do something like that. 

Mr Lally then walked up to the mother. "It looks like to me what the boy said was correct. If the boy had taken his advice then perhaps he would have won. Even though in this type of event the contestant can hear the crowd on the outside, if this boy tried to intentionally give bad advice I still doubt your son would have heard him over all the cheers and screaming. Maybe even your outburst at the side of the arena had put him off."

The woman knew the man standing in front of her held a high position at the tournament, if he didn't agree to the rematch then there was nothing she could do. She also didn't want to offend a pro player. The pro Comunity all knew each other well and it might spoil her son's chances in the future. 

After the commotion was over the woman and her son had rushed away from the scene to avoid any further embarrassment. Mr Lally then went and approached Novis. 

"Are you part of the tournament as well?"

"No, I just came here to watch."

My Lally thought it was a shame, he wanted to see the boy display his skills in the arena. He had a hunch that something was special about this kid.

"Do you mind coming with me?" Mr lally asked.

Chapter 4 – Continue the Game
[Play the game. Keep Sword Beast's identity a secret. If you tell anyone, I will report you to the Grentz Union and you know what will happen to people who hacks a game under the union's control, right?] 
Ethan read the message and he shuddered. 'A hacker? How can a hacker outwit the powerful AI or is the powerful AI only a rumor?' Ethan's mind was in a mess. 
'Why me?' He wanted to ask the question but the message disappeared and was replaced with a new one. 
[Play Next World every day. Don't ask any questions and just play the game. Make sure you play both the characters. I know everything you do] Ethan read the new message and his body started shivering. He was too scared. 
A second later, the message vanished. 
"Why am I so unlucky?" Ethan spoke to himself. He did not know what scheme was this hacker had and he was extremely afraid. It looked like he was forced to be in some kind of plot or something. 
Ethan went to the kitchen and had a cup of water. He needed to calm down. Even so, he could not calm down. Everything that had happened earlier was too scary. A timid person like him would not be able to handle everything by himself and he was too scared to tell anyone about it too. 
It took Ethan an hour before he fully calmed down. He still felt scared but he was already a part of this and the unknown enemy was too scary for him. 
'Who is it? Is it Shawn? But Shawn is a nice person but maybe that is all just a front? But Shawn is a nice person. He will not try to harm me and we don't have any problem with each other,' Ethan tried to list down people who he suspected the one behind all of this.
'Is it that girl? Or, the guy who fixes the VR device? That guy is working at the Diamond Dragon Tech so, he is possibly the only one who is capable of doing this?' Ethan thought about everything. 
A few minutes later, he just stared blankly at a wall in front of him. He was not sure who did this and he did not know the purpose he was chosen. He suspected Shawn, Clarisse, or Clarisse's brother but he was too scared to investigate them.
"Whatever happens will happen. Everything is like that all my life," Ethan spoke. He looked listless. He gave up on thinking who was the perpetrator. "I have a more important matter to care for. I need the money and if this cheat can help me with this problem, I should just use it…" 
"That person did not tell me the reason he chose me and my purpose of using this hack or cheat, so, I should just play it normally. Once that person gives me more instruction, I will think about this later. Now, I need money…" 
Ethan glanced at the VR device and sighed. He wore the device and lied on the bed. He turned it on and dived into the game. 
[Choose your character. Ethan or Sword Beast?] Ethan chose his original character and appeared at the same plaza he appeared earlier. There were a lot of people around but Ethan looked the most noob of them all. 
Since he was new to the game, he only wore a plain white t-shirt, pants, and slippers. Ethan walked to a nearby bench and checked on his menu. 
The game menu had nine options. They were status, skill, equipment, storage, map, mission, chat, notifications, and login/logout. Ethan clicked on chat and registered Shawn's phone number but it looked like Shawn was not online. 
So, Ethan checked on his status. When he clicked the status menu, he was given a choice to view his and Sword Beasts' status. Ethan checked his original character's status first.

"So, all the stats have the same limit," Ethan nodded, and then, he checked on Sword Beast. Since he now knew that the character was functional, he wondered if Sword Beast had indeed done stats training.

When Ethan saw Sword Beast's stats, he was shocked. Sword Beast was level 1 without any experience points but his stats were now more than what he should have at this moment. 
Every Player in Next World would get 10 total stat points in the beginning. This was something Ethan had read on many forums since the game launched last night and he had experienced it too when creating the characters.
When leveling up, the Players would only be able to get 3 stat points for each level and 10 stat points to increase the stats' limit. 
However, increasing the stats could also be done by training or continuous use or movement of the related stats. According to the information, he read online, for one stat point, the player needed to accumulate 5 hours in-game time of the stat's training or movement or uses elated to the stat. 
In Next World, 1 day was equaled to 1 hour in real-life. Ethan logged in an hour after what happened earlier and Sword Beast's stat should not be this much. 
Sword Beast had maxed out his Health, Energy, and Strength stats. Not only that but he was currently training his Endurance stats as stated by the timer at the side of the stat. 
Sword Beast had his stats increased by 20 points in 24 hours which was impossible. Since 5 hours was needed to increase one stat point, in 24 hours, theoretically, a player would only be able to increase at most, 4 points. 
Even so, 4 points were still hard to gain because they needed some rest too but Sword Beast did the impossible. He had increased his stats by 20 points!
"Is it the multiplier? Did the multiplier decrease the time needed for training by five times? I made Sword Beast's multiplier by 5 so, is this it?" Ethan wondered and he remembered that he put his original character's multiplier to 2 so, his training would twice as fast as other players. 
"Will anyone get suspicious later?" Ethan was scared but even though he felt that way, he was smiling. Ethan realized this too and remembered that his character's personality was happy and humble which was different than his real personality which was timid. 
"…It feels weird smiling like this…" Ethan spoke weakly but his character spoke differently. 
"It feels weird smiling like this~" while smiling. Ethan was smiling happily when he spoke this sentence. 
"…" Ethan went silent as he was not used to smiling. Even so, his character was smiling showing a bright face. 'This feels like my soul is inside someone else's body and that person's soul was also inside that body…' 
Ethan looked around as he was not sure what to do. He did not know where to start. According to the forums online, they needed to go to the training center and learned basic skills and after that, they were free to do whatever they wanted. 
The missions were generated based on situation and the players needed to grasp the opportunity themselves if they wanted missions with high rewards and so on. 
So, Ethan got out of the plaza and searched for the training center. As he was walking, Ethan felt the view was different from that he used to in real life. 
The reason was that Ethan's character was walking while looking forward and his body was straight. The character was unlike Ethan who always walked while looking at the ground and his back hunched a bit. 
Ethan was not used to this view as he saw many people's faces and looking at them filled him with anxiety. Even so, he was not able to evade seeing them as there were too many people around and he was unable to look at the ground. 
This was a new experience for Ethan. He wanted to embrace it but it was too hard for him to feel comfortable in this situation. After walking for a few minutes, Ethan saw a massive building and on the signboard was the training center. 
Similar to the normal fantasy world, Next World used the style of the middle ages for their building. There was no technology in the game's world. So, the building in front of Ethan right now was not a common modern building but a stone building following the style of the middle ages. 
Many players and NPCs were walking in and out of the building and all of them looked like a newbie. Ethan walked inside and there were many counters inside. 
"New Adventurer can choose either to learn basic skills of your choices or go to the training ground behind the building to train your stats," an employee of the training center shouted. 
"If you want to train your stats, you don't need to register at the counter. If you want to learn a basic skill, choose a counter you like and register. If you want to become a swordsman, register at the Swordsman counter! If you want to become an archer, go to the Archer counter and so on!" 
Ethan heard the shout. Then, he looked for the forging counter and there was one, and compared to the other counter, it was quite empty. It was understandable because everyone preferred fighting in a fantasy game. 
However, Ethan's aim was not the fun of the game but money. He needed money and thus, production playstyle might be the best choice. Ethan registered at the counter and after that, he and a few other players were led by the staff to the workshop to learn forging. 
On the way there, Ethan passed through the training ground and he was shocked to see that Sword Beast was there and he was training his Endurance by bumping his body against a thick log. 
'H-H-He can move by himself?!' Ethan was shocked. Sword Beasts suddenly stopped his training and he turned around to look at Ethan. 
"!!!" Ethan was shocked because Sword Beasts looked so much alive as a normal person. It did not look like a computer was controlling him. 
Since Sword Beasts was set with a cold and domineering personality, Ethan was sweating on his back due to the pressure. Be that as it may, Ethan was looking straight to Sword Beast's eyes and smiled at him.

Synopsis
Grentz is a world with high technology. One of the technologies that have advanced far is Virtual Reality (VR). Thanks to this, VR is widely used in the world and as usual, the gaming scene is the most synonym to the technology. 
The Grentz Union alongside the biggest gaming company in the world collaborates and makes the biggest Fantasy Action RPG game called the Next World. They also intended to use the game as a platform for safe competition among the countries.
Ethan is a college student but a family problem made his life in the college harder. Next World is a game where it can help his problem and Ethan decided to buy the special VR device for Next World. 
However, an accident broke the device but thankfully, he managed to fix it. Even so, after he starts the game, he finds out that he can create two characters.

The morning was slow for Juray. He difficulty washed up and got prepared. Taking his bag one thing was disturbing, that team he joined yesterday, Captain Zekai, The Great Champion and his elite members. He, as a weakling joined this team and made a big mistake.

If anyone else saw this party with his level character in it, there could have been a risk of losing Ivy Mist team 's ranking of population or problems could have created for him.

Since Common teams are very high rank party and takes part in many of Minus Zero Competition and League, they were high chances of spires to enter them or watch them. The other team members of common groups, medium guilds with great guilds all could do anything related to spying which mostly ended up in great conflicts. These high parties used ordinary character or low level players to do their dirty work in exchange of any items, weapon, armor or rare credits. 
Since this was an online game any part could be played. Even inside such a great online game security measures were also a priority however, human brains are far from limits, including a normal player too. He, any ordinary player, would also have a cannon to break through the walls of iron in order to fulfill his desire. 
Thus, if a matter grew out of limit, Minus Zero security and community would have no choice but to erase the character completely off the database not caring if he's guilty or not. Such were the situation occurring around. 


Juray offed the light and went out. While walking through the corridor he was lost in his thoughts worried maybe some problems might create and he might lose Cecil forever. As getting out and entering the yellow bright station, the morning counter man greeted him with wishing him good luck for his university. As getting out, looking up at the six balcony as expected he was there. 
Yu-say with his cup, smiling at him and weaved. Returning the weave Juray walked on to the path of studies. 


When the sun was over head, Juray returned back. Arriving near the station, surprisingly Yu-say was at the opposite side preparing to cross the road. The boy waited till the other person met at one spot. 
"Ah! Juray!...." surprised his fellow "you are here but....." he noticed him tired and weak. 
Obviously for a player like Yu-say he would understand this guy was feeling regret about the previous night. He smiled taking out from his pocket a lollypop and said unpacking it "let's go inside. Soon your job will start".


At 1:30pm, the crowd increased in the station. The morning counter man couldn't leave so easily he was extreme busy in running upstairs, down hall, left and right. There was no stop and the man wished it should be over soon with the shift.
In this station, one employer couldn't take or interrupt in another's work until his time arrives. The boss's rule was one should give all his strength and energy in his own work rather than trusting others. Then only there will be a value of hardship and paying. But in case of any incident or health point two extra employers were registered to come and do his duration, instead of the next shifter taking his place plus, work further hours on his own timing too. 
While Juray arrived at the counter, preparing for his timing, climbing behind the counter, the night shifter was standing near the counter enjoying his third lollypop, he said "hey, Juray I was thinking let's take a break tonight...".

"What?" surprised the boy behind the counter "we won't play tonight... but, I am fine".


"I know..." he turned to him leaning on the table, supporting his elbows on the surface and placing his palms under his chin, with it chewing his lollypop "but the class will start tomorrow and you will get more people to face than more to learn. So, I suggest you should rest well before we start...".


He was right. Juray was tired due to late bed timing even thou, he didn't have problem in waking up no matter he slept in due of bird or dogs. He was disturbed by knowing the identity of the team that accompanied him yesterday and couldn't even nap well. 

Yu-say was good at noticing such things that's why he offered a break from the game to have fresh mind. When Juray asked about the mission, it was blue rose, remaining him he HAS to be on time at once to attend it. However, Yu-say smiled and answered relaxed, 
"The timing is in Long shooters hands. If I go online the timing will start. So let's say I won't play too... Got it?"

 Blue rose had only two characters in it Cecil with Long shooter and two players working side by Juray and Yu-say.
So, it was clear for both they didn't have any problems of worries who will go online or who will be offline. Both were at same place, same spot, same area, same timing and together. Thinking about it a smile stretched in Juray's lips.


 Just as a side question away from games he asked "you are so attracted to the lollypop that even when it's in your mouth you still can be heard clearly" adding there wasn't any disturbance in his sound either. 

The tall boy stood straight and said "I am been eating this sweet for quite long... I am use to it.... Wanna have?" he offered him another, taking it out of his pocket. Juray just shook smiling. 


In the afternoon, Juray took the shift and began whereas, the man was finally relief and ran away. Like always, bit in double quantity, the employer had to work in the counter registering, attending the calls of other customers needing help and helping around in the system.
Whereas, Yu-say was only roaming around empty, with his hands in his pocket and lollypop in the mouth. He sometimes went to the upper floors watching there and sometimes stood where Juray would be working and watched. 

Nothing was boring around, a person would always get something to do to spend time with.

 Like wise, Yu-say opened the counter drawer as he remembered there were two guide books, one of Minus Zero, the other of Dimensional Gate and began to reading the second guide. 

After few minutes, Juray returned to get some needing and surprisingly found him in the seat, lacking while reading the guide. 
"Ah! you are reading?..." he saw the book's back cover and recognized it cause he's always use to it's delivery but, the question was why was he reading a book about a game different than his own usual game. 
Yu-say didn't reply but kept reading attentively that brought a smile in him. He's a strange character person who was difficult for Juray to understand. The employer picked up a pen and left.


Among the crowd while Juray was working he heard "JURAY" a call. He saw Yamato weaving at him in the side. 
"Ah! it's Yamato...." and went to him.

Yamato was a classmate of Juray arising in the same university but studying in different group. Like Juray was studying computer engineering whereas, Yamato with his brother were studying business and accounting. Yet, all three knew each other well through the game Minus Zero. The two twins were very interested in combat skills and fighting action which was why they choose Twin star dragons to fulfill their flavor. 
As the two mates met, Yamato said "you look quite busy now-a-days. Is everything alright?"


"Yeah, nothing to worry. Just attention got a lot here" his friend replied.


"Well, you seem so busy so I won't take much time of yours but, I wanted to tell you two things" spoke Yamato. His friend was all ears. 
He told him a special event of Minus Zero will soon began so he wanted his friend to make sure he too should take part before the unknown great event's coming. 
Juray was dumbfounded.
The second thing he told was his brother has gotten a job and might come here in different timing for it. He asked if Juray could led him a hand when needing. 
Juray replied agreeing "yes, I will. No problem, I am not sure during my off times but if I find him around I will ensure to help him".


"Thanks a lot" said Yamato in relief and both returned to their works.


At night 10:40pm, the station was still lightened and the guest were few in number. Stretching the arms high in air and falling lifeless, Juray leaned back on the chair and sighed deeply.
"Tired?" he heard Yu-say coming to the counter.


"Yeah..... weaken too" he replied "but I will sleep well and it will be fine" the other employer nodded. Then Juray started a question roaming in his mind for long.
"Am.... Yu-say"

"Yes?"

"I have a question to ask...." 

"Go on...."

"I heard a special event for the game will start soon in Minus Zero... do you have any idea?"

A shock shoked the other employer and he quickly turned to the counter, grabbing the calendar from the table and went through it. 
"Oh dear that early....?" he asked himself. 
Juray stared in confusion and asked "is everything alright?"
Yu-say smiled at him and replied "yeah it will be fun and you will be there" taking out the empty stick from his mouth, placing on his lips, he winkled saying "it should be secret for new comers then only they will have fun".

I nearly weeped when I saw the last name, hopefully it lands on a universe where I won't be limited and my light extinguished before even reaching puberty.

Finally the counter started to slow down and it landed on DXD (AU). 'Yes I could work with that', I 
said nodding my head. Suddenly the 2nd roulette for characters started spinning there were so many names I could recognise Ben Tennyson, Superman, Lex Luthor, Percy Jackson, Gellert Grindelwald, Jack Sparrow, Gandalf, Hercules and so many more. What I had realised they were all male characters, I thanked GOD I wasn't going to be forced to have a gender change. Suddenly the the counter started to slow down.

I was surprised but started to smile he wasn't a character I was too familiar with but I remember he was powerful and that he demigod of sorts, this would give me an advantage in a place like DxD where power and might is where everything. I started to cough to get the boys attention. He turned to me with a questioning look. 'My boy The roulettes are not based on chance or your luck it is your inner and most subconscious desires that helping choose a optimal universe and character for you.' I waited for my him to digest this information. 'Alex the universe selected for you is not completely the same to the one you have read and watched about, there will be new and different characters with challenges I hope you will prepare for this will enjoy yourself. My boy the character that was chosen for you does not have a counterpart in this version of the DxD verse, therefore a background with an appropriate story will be made for you.' 'In time Alex you will receive all of Ozymandias knowledge of magic, combat and general life to prevent this from distorting your personality the emotions have been dulled to the maximum. You will also receive all the powers of the Ozymandias from the FATE universe, however you will have to train to reach the power that was achieved by him previously. I listened and digested the information he told me, the power and knowledge that I would receive from Ozymandias would put me into the top tier of the world in DxD however I understood that I would have to train to utilise that power efficiently.

I suddenly spun to look at the moving counter on the roulette and noticed many powers from devil fruit powers, chakra fruit, telepathy, telekinesis, invisibility to more obscure powers I barely heard of like pop off quirk that sounded like minoru minetas power from MHA. Suddenly the counter stopped on the campital letters

Alex turned to me as if asking a question. I spoke to answer his unasked question, 'My boy the power that was chosen for you is very powerful and unique. Alex you will receive the peak Campione physiology, this includes great increase in magic reserves beyond humans reaching gods with magic domains, including greater magic affinity. Bones which are near unbreakable like steel, Skin that is extremely durable and very magic resistant only divinity and attacks of the highest level penetrate. Enhanced vitality and recovery speed, beast like instincts, 100x adrenaline production when in combat, Enhanced immune system and metabolism. Body which will only age to its peak. Enhanced life span of thousands of years ( more magic and authorities the longer the campione lives; near immortality). Increased brain function granting photographic memory, increase in IQ and a more analytical mind. Any deformities or issues in DNA or the human body will be corrected when Campione powers are granted'. I waited several seconds for his shock to dissipate.

I sipped my drink from my whisky glass and then continued, 'Alex what is different is that with PEAK Campione powers, it will allow you to pick and choose up to three authorites,  domains and powers and as your body becomes stronger maybe all of your enemies abilities. However they must have some form of divinity for the Campiones Claim of authority to work after killing your opponent. Alex where you will be going you will be the only Campione the first and last of a race to exist in that world. You're demigod and magic abilities from Ozymandias will be brought to new levels and you will be able to surpass all beings in the DxD verse with enough training and preparations. Did you ever suffer from boredom? I mean the mind-numbing one that almost makes you want to just stay in bed for the whole day and do nothing, just sleep through the whole period of time that most people consider 'daytime'? I was feeling that right now, just pure boredom that left me with nothing to do but stare at my computer's monitor with a blank gaze not actually seeing anything.

I actually started reading through my junk-mail box to entertain myself, at least get a couple of good laughs from the stupid little messages that always contained some ridiculous mini-con about you winning something and to get you would need to send money to someone and so on. Pure fabrications of course but at least I would see what did I 'win' this time, last time it was a yacht with enough supplies for a World-Tour, not many can top that!

'Well, what do you know?' I saw an invitation for a  Anime CYOA. In short, it was an instruction to create your own story-character while trying to follow the genre of the story where you're going to insert said character. I and a couple of my friends did something like that once, but with a Young Justice Universe, the Cartoon one, not the comics. A couple hundred of pages of reviews and some bans from the Admins, trolls are still a thing, we put our metaphorical pens down and opened a very real bottle of champagne to celebrate the end of the story. 'Still got some of those Reviews saved on my hard drive, who could've thought that the death of Miss Mathian would generate such a negative response?' I love the dragpn

With nothing else to do, I decided to try my hand at… Anime cyoas ? While I was familiar with the Dbz  concept and the story itself, basic facts and the bones of the timeline mostly, the idea of the Galaxy  filled with Godlike  superhumans that can that can blow up a planet with just a small burst of ki    made me curious. I never liked stories where authors were so adamant about following the canon-plot that they never actually managed to do anything original and the amount of plot-holes made it almost impossible to read without crying. I like butterflies, they made everything interesting and without even a clue just what would happen next. and this was that type of story  I wonder what it would be like if that power was thrusted into other worlds as well 

"A good story is the one that you can't see the ending of..." I muttered to myself with a smirk as I opened the E-mail and started picking my choices.



 

the next was the option to  travel to other worlds 

I picked the option of continuing my travels through the different Universes, Sliders could bite their elbows. If the Source-Author would want to continue and I wouldn't be in the mood I will just say that my choice to go home and that's all. I don't think he or she would leave this loophole hanging so carelessly, probably just an open invitation for a series of stories or something.

Not a hard choice actually, I always like to stack the deck to my advantage simply because I could. There was no point of actually making things harder for you if you could avoid it and have much more time playing with the possible ways of further exploring the story other than struggling for survival and trying to overcome the obstacles with a toothbrush and a shoelaces that you somehow must turn into a graphing hook.

[God Mode] was my answer to everyone who thought that making their own Character suffer to make thing more interesting was a good idea. My counter of points increased by ten which left me with ten Points to distribute among the thing that I will get to power-up my little munchkin.

And now I could see the list of possible power-ups. While it was the list of three possible {Lesser} abilities I became very interested in the [Apprentice] solely because it told me that whoever created this particular CYOA didn't forget about the sweet possibility of a Cross-Over with some very interesting Universes. Most people went with 'Old and Trusty' things like DC or Marvel or in some cases even Naruto but I honestly was sick of watching the infinite flood of said stories that blindly follows the same route no matter what.

[Twins] looked rather… cheap, like an option for someone without an actual imagination or for someone who had a very severe case of hard-on for one of the canon-cast. Not my cup of tea, the only one person there with a reasonably cool Power was Fortuna and even then her Character left me wanting to strangle the bitch with a rusty spiked chain.

I took one glance at [Wildcard] and instantly dismissed said option, it was a dark and cursed road down to the infinite-arguments pit about how powers should and could actually work. No point of doing something like that, only headache in the end will be gained.

I checked if it was possible to backtrack through the pages. It was possible but I couldn't change my choices apparently, which was okay in itself for me. I didn't want to pick the {Lesser} option just yet, without knowing what was in store for me I had absolutely no idea if I will end up losing or gaining from picking one now.

Next page made me grin, {Greater} Powers indeed.

While [Crossover] was done to death due to it being limited only to comic book's Universes. Not a bad option in general with the possibility to pick Superman and then grow into his full capabilities but used too much for my taste.

[Exalted] I skipped instantly, I didn't know what it was and what sauce would be required for me to add to this weird and very exotic dish. I honestly wasn't familiar with the series bar the knowledge of it actually existing and I had no desire to sit on my ass and read through several encyclopedias to understand the damn thing and how it works.

I also skipped [Gamer] because the whole thing was done too many time, usually with Naruto being the recipient. Honestly, if I hear 'How S.P.E.C.I.A.L. are you' one more damn time I will kill someone, there is a specific brand of 'Special' people who picked up this poor dying cow and still trying to milk it no matter how tasteless and sour the milk they got as a result everyone will have to drink.

[Mad Talent] made me think about these old cartoons with Bugs Bunny and Bonkers where they managed to warp reality around their fingertips just for shit and giggles. No order or actual pattern, just pure chaos that made my head hurt. The age really dulles your perception from when you were seven and loved the whole thing, to when you're twenty four and find it weird and crappy at best. The option was declined due to being too unpredictable.

And then I had sensation that transcended even an orgasm, the option [Servant] shone like a beacon in the dark night, calling my name and promising untold riches. Finally I found a CYAO that included the creations of Kinoko Nasu.
I chewed on my lip absently and then decided that just maybe there wouldn't be such a bad thing to pick the most broken option of them all. The only thing that bothered me was the little fact that there wouldn't be any Prana there for my Character to empower herself with, and chewing down on the souls of the citizens would be out of question this time. I usually try to make alternate between Dark, Light and Grey sides of conflict and with both the first and the last options being recently used I had only the 'Good Guys' route to choose.
then the next was [warrior hero]the ability to trancend My limits their is no barrior that you can't break  with the possibility to become Immortal with hard work
that got my blood boiling even more   that sounds similar to goku  right? I took the chance

I picked the [Warrior hero ] option and instantly pressed my choice as Goku six Points left the counter with four more left to spend. It was some time since I wrote something from TYPE-Moon franchise and this will be my little exercise to get back in shape of writing from this specific angle.

[Word of Power] didn't even registered as something worth noticing as I moved onto the next page.

{World-breaking} Powers were too costly and honestly I already had something a lot better in my pocket than anything it could supply me with. Next page it is.

{Advantages} were actually pretty awesome, not the same as i was used to and with how much I tend to read into the small script…

[Badass Normal] was out simply because I already had a Power picked, the option was even greyed out to make the point clear. Not like I lost much here.

[Cauldron Vials] was something that I didn't want to experiment with, I knew options like this and it always ended up badly. Author usually gave people a list with Powers in the bottles, gems, trinkets or other containers and then watched in amusement how we struggled to make the shitty things work for our advantage. No, thank you.

[Charles Atlas Superpowers] made me pause. It was an interest concept to add to Gilgamesh's already literally Divine physiology and I honestly wanted to see just how will this turn out in the end. Usually there would be some precise descriptions for the Powers or Boosts this vague but apparently Author wanted us to make our bets without knowing what game we were agreeing on. Well, it was worth a shot to at least try so I picked it and the counter instantly went from four to three.

[Comic Book Pretty] was also an interesting idea, I could attribute it to the desire to decrease the strain a little because no matter how good your memory is you will always forget about one scar or another and people then will complain about it no matter what. Also, it was a pretty cool plot-device to make you Character always be in a top shape no matter what. Also, while in the body of Gilgamesh it would be useless due to the natural way she would be beautiful, it would be a very good way to insure the secrecy of her identity with wound not leaving a mark upon healing, it would be obvious even after turning back to normal just who you are if the Hero of the same basic look and gender received an identical wound not long ago . One Point spent with two still being left to be used.

[Companion] I skipped due to it sounding much too close to a comic-relief follower that was always present in the movies. And honestly? I just didn't have the desire to write about more than one Character at a time, it wasn't laziness but purely because I would've got confused about them being two different people and after some time they would've start bleeding into each other.

[Item of Power] was also not an option that I liked simply because I didn't like Powers that weren't innate to the Characters. Green Lantern's Power Ring could be stolen, Harry Potter's wand could be broken, Iron Man's suit could be depowered. No trinkets for me, they were not very reliable in the end.

[Man of Mystery] was also one of the Perks that left me smirking, no bullshit precognition for anyone about my Character which would mean there wouldn't be any boundaries that I wouldn't be able to overcome with the plot. It was very annoying when Authors pulled a 'Prophecy Card' and you had no other choice other than to make your Character lose or die due to it already being an established fact. If you disagreed with the notion, well, you weren't irreplaceable and therefore our opinion on that matter didn't really matter. One point spent, one more to use.

[Plot Armor] was a bit too flimsy with the last part about 'dramatic-ness' of the death being a proper counter-measure of this Perk. Not a thing that I would agree upon, really.

[Resources] made me gape. This should be an actual Power rather than just a Perk that costs only two pathetic Points! An almost unlimited fountain of gold, the damn hand of King Midas! Alright, this was something I could actually see taking without any disadvantage on my side. Two Points spent and a negative-one remains.

[Special Snowflake] was picked without question, a protection from imitation and suppression was something that would save me so many headaches in the future. At least I hoped that there wouldn't be some weird-ass Deus Ex Machina that would rob me of this Perk 'because reasons'. The counter clicked to negative-two.

{A Brighter World?} was made from two options, with one being a [Crossover] which would crossbreed Rwbyverse with one of my choosing and the other [For Want of a Nail] which would let me change one event or fact in any way or form I want. The second option was a must, and to take it I had to take at least one or two {Disadvantage} because apparently I couldn't take it with negative number on the counter, I looked over the list.

[Case 53] instantly was out, no way in hell I would let some ass-hat-system turn my Character into a freak, for all I know the whole thing would make people react to her the same way people react to Saitamas  face! Not an option.

[Enemy] was just a reversed [Companion] and I had no desire to get a stalker that would try and shit a brick to overpower Lord Beerus  it would be fun in the beginning and very annoying in the end. Wasteful too, distractions can cost lives if they happen to appear in the most crucial moment.

[Reincarnation] on the other hand sounded fun. It would left me with a very interesting case of butterflies that I could release at a moment's notice. While not a very bad choice I honestly had no idea just how screwed up can I end up with… I couldn't use the option to go as Jaune arc , stealing his  thunder or life would be purely out of any limits for me, it was a rule that me and my friends established between ourselves: do not replace the main-cast. While it would give me two Points and I would be able to give my Character an established home and even maybe a life that would lead her into what she would turn out to be, it would leave me without knowing just whom my Character will be. Well, nothing spent, nothing gained and a little bit of surprise would be interesting.

While I wasn't a big fan of  Namekians  the Saiyans Majins and the cold race were kind of hard  to choose from Kryptonians are pretty strong But their weakness are too much of a risk considering most worlds  universes, and galaxies out their uses  magic   the powers of superman will most likely be useless. Not to mention the kryptonite  Humans are fine   But for some reason I feel like that is not the one I want to be born in  the cold race  well I don't want to be looking like a freak to other  people since  most of them look human  the namekians  I don't know if I could live with just water and the people might consider me a freak or a demon like Piccolo  their are some racial shit   and have less oppertunities  the majins become strong way to easily    in the end I picked  the Saiyan Race 

Geas] was interesting but I honestly wasn't really all that eager to see how low I would need to fall to get this accused Point and I seriously didn't want such a blatant weakness to be used against my Character.

[Pint-Sized] made me actually laugh, combining it with the [Reincarnation] would make the whole story spin. I honestly wanted to shake Author's hand just for adding this particular Anti-Perk to the list because there just wasn't any way in hell I would miss an opportunity to mess up the plot. Hell, with this additional Point I would be able to kill two birds with one stone, giving me time to get my Character into gear and get the so much needed Point. One click and one Point gained.

I instantly took the [For Want of a Nail] and then stopped… With my Character being Goku Powered I honestly didn't need to even use this Perk to erase the main threat to the world. The problem was that I just couldn't be sure that I would have enough kick to get the point across to the Amazo-wannabe that he needs to kill himself or leave, either one would be fine in my book. Well, a good backup is better than a very flimsy chance. I shook my head and used this Perk to adjust the Rwby Universe  to my vision, making sure to leave a loophole just in case of a thing going perl-shaped.

Absently I read the last options I had.

[Wanted] was a waste because I honestly didn't want to instantly put my Character onto a battlefield without any preparations, not point of just ending the whole thing before it could begin.

[Wildbow? What's Wildbow?] was a moronic option for morons who didn't want to come up with a good plot and just used CYOA to create an Original Character and not a Self-Inset. No way in hell I will do it, future knowledge for the win!

[Without a Map] was greyed out, [Reincarnation] probably blocked it. Not that I cared, it was a cheap Point and with Goku's powers my Character could just travel wherever she wanted pretty quickly.

{Things Get Worse} weren't even put into consideration. [Disastrous] was bad enough, I could produce at least ten scenarios where it could go wrong on so many levels. [Horrific] and [Apocalyptic] weren't even looked at.

I checked the whole thing again and decided to just be done with it, it wasn't like I could change anything without taking any more from the {Disadvantage} shelf. I hit the ending button and…

"fuck!" I glared . " that little shit just crashed my computer!" I looked down at the system block itself and found the light being still on and blinking rapidly, that meant that the crash was a minor and a simple reset should do it. Suddenly the monitor turned on again but became a solid white color. "... If my new video-adapter is toast I'm going to find that asshole who..."

I wasn't able to finish because the light from the monitor suddenly because blindingly bright and then the world went black as I lost conscious.
