Next, it was two pieces of stones called the Perishing God Stones and they were basically rare minerals. In the Quan Zhen Sect, Wang Yu was the only one who was proficient in forging. If even Wang Yu didn't research much about this mineral, the others wouldn't even have heard of it before. Therefore, nobody was curious as to what it was used for. 
However, the last item captured everyone's attention.
This plaything was a skill book but there were no attributes on it. There were no words on the cover as well. They could only see the description of the item when they threw [Probing] skill over.
[Damaged Martial Skill]: Able to receive a remnant page of a high-level skill at random. 
"This… This is actually a remnant page of a skill book." Looking at the description, Spring Halo exclaimed.
Remnant page of a skill book was a common tool within ordinary online games. Players could obtain it from various quests and after assembling all the pages, it could turn into a complete skill book or be exchanged for a complete skill book. The level of skill book was solely dependent on the player's luck.
However, in <<REBIRTH>>, almost everything that is badly damaged would be a high-level item. The more typical case would be fragments of Ancient or Legendary weapons. One fragment by itself would be of no use at all but once everything is gathered, it would be a peak grade item worth cities. 
Spring Halo was the most familiar with an item like this remnant page. During the beta testing, his demons summoning was learnt from gathering remnant pages of a damaged skill book. Back when he was gathering the remnant pages, Spring Halo didn't waste too much effort in doing so. Even so, the skill was still extremely impressive.
Even though nobody saw something like this before, they would have heard of it. Seeing that Wang Yu was holding a legendary remnant page of a skill book, they hurriedly urged him, "Old Bull, hurry up and open to see what skill it is."
Wang Yu opened up the book and a skill book with golden radiance landed in Wang Yu's hand.

This was actually a remnant page of an ancient skill.
As everyone knows, every job would have all sorts of Ancient skills. Moreover, every skill would be unique and unmatched. This meant that once someone learnt the [Broken Army Slashing Dragon Strike], no one else could learn it afterwards.
Even though the [Broken Army Slashing Dragon Strike] was only a remnant page, Boson already learnt the [Triple Slash Technique]. After he reached level 50 to learn the [Ferocious Dragon Space Snapping Slash], he could master this skill.
One must know that the [Triple Slash Technique] was also an Ancient skill. [Ferocious Dragon Space Snapping Slash] was one of the strongest skills of a Warrior. If the [Broken Army Slashing Dragon Strike] required these two skills to be learnt first, it was naturally not going to be weak.

You have to understand this book represented not only cooking knowledge but also lists out and identify ingredients meaning he will have knowledge of all creatures between heaven and earth.

Also, it said impersonate any creature meaning it didn't have to be human.




Oh, long live the emperor meeee! Nick was so excited he grabbed the to kids and gave them a good wet kiss on each of their foreheads!!




Then he yelled, "Isn't your big brother the most handsome, isn't he the coolest, isn't he the strongest?!!"




After asking the kids he didn't even wait for a response as he immediately turned his attention to the last gift bag.




Dean and Maggy started questioning their choices, did they choose to follow a crazy person?! But he was alright a moment ago, what happened to him?!




But then, they remembered, whenever their mom acted unreasonably and did weird things around the house, their dad always used to say 'It's her time of the month again!' then maybe it was also Nicks time of the month too... 




Then after they both took another glance at Nick they found him giggling cross-eyed which only served to prove their previous theory even more, so they decided to do what their dad always did in these situations, they would agree with anything he says with a smile and nod, just smile and nod.




If Nick Knew what the siblings were thinking he would have jumped out of the moving carriage and asked the driver to loan him the whip, to teach them a thing or two.

Nick was happy with his gains, but he couldn't wait to start cultivating so he stared at all the gifts revolving around in his head and first accepted the spirit stones.




At that moment Dean and Maggy saw one hundred spirit stones appearing in the air and falling down in the metallic carriage.




They had never seen these many spirit stones in their life so they were tempted to grab a few, but then they saw them vanishing one by one as soon as Nick clutched them.

The host can not level up to the gathering realm before completing the quest and shall remain within the origin realm.

Reward: The blueprints and building of the imperial palace and level up directly to the transcendence realm!

He wanted as many magic options available to him as possible to protect his child, especially with the stone-viper games running on full blast. At least the other "players" didn't have to participate—and even if they did, Dark and Tessa were on his side. 
He pulled a tube of Chapstick from his pocket, applying it. Even though anime logic protected his lips, he still couldn't shake the old habit. In fact, he bought the most expensive kind, using Ashfall money. If he got to taste delicious lips, why not the girls? 
The book before him didn't activate. 
 "What the hell?"

"No, this is bullshit!" Clyde snapped. "I didn't forget the prompt that said I'm capable of learning all elements."

Clyde's eyes widened. Did the system just tell him no? He fumed, glaring at the useless book before him. Holy aura his ass. He was capable of learning it all. The young man didn't make it this far just to be stopped like this.
 "This book may contain one hell of a spell," Clyde thought aloud. "System, what's Blood Ki?"
No response. He'd just have to ask Maki. There was no way in hell he'd attempt to learn this on his own. Clyde had enough of charging headfirst into things, ignorant. What if Blood Ki had some kind of personality-changing effect? The young man didn't want the arrogance of the War Mode to return to him. Nor did he want to be the cause of…more people dying. Fuck.
He shook himself. Never again. Now's not the time for a guilt trip, Clyde, he thought. You did your best…right?
He warped the book back to his inventory, hopping up to go search for the purple-haired girl, when Noona popped into existence. 
I'm never going to get to Maki, Clyde thought. 
 "Clyde, we have a problem," Noona said. "It's pertaining to the dragon investigation."
He nodded.
 "What's up?" He almost asked about the Sherlock Holmes getup, but remember that Noona was simply being Noona. 
She placed her hand on Clyde's arm. A brief feeling of vertigo and blackness struck the young man before the duo were in the boardroom. The young man nearly stumbled over.
 "Clyde. Glad you could join us," Tear said. She patted the seat next to her. When he did, the succubus snuggled close, enticing the young man with her nice perfume. Tetra shot the pair a blank stare. Hinako looked a bit murderous. 
 "So, what's this about?" Clyde asked, quickly deterring any heat. Now wasn't the time for Team Stone to start going at each other's throats.
 "Here, take a look at this photo," Tear said, passing him her phone. "Natalia's slave fairy caught us a good glimpse of someone who followed a few of us all day. A dragon."
Clyde gazed at the picture of the orange-haired girl with skepticism. 
 "A dragon," Clyde deadpanned. "This girl?"
 "She's in her human form," Tear said, poking the young man's forehead. "They're able to shapeshift at will."
Clyde nodded, then clapped.
 "Damn that's fast." He grimaced. "Let's see if she'll talk with us. I doubt we'll get anywhere by trapping her."
 "Are you crazy?" Tetra said. "I don't know where you're from, but even my homeland don't take kindly to dragons. They're a divisive bunch—you may never know who is decent and who will backstab you. There are rumors some years ago, they went back on a peace agreement with the Kitsunes, attacking after centuries of peace."
Clyde's eyes widened.
 "You know about that, Tetra?"
Tetra shrugged.
 "It's a rumor, spoken in hushed conversations among some within the supernatural community. I can't confirm anything, since I wasn't there. I also never met a kitsune…other than Harumi. But you know, I'm not insensitive enough to ask a horrible question like that to her. She's so sweet."
Clyde sighed.
 "Tell me what you know about the rumor."
Tetra nodded.
 "It's best that I start from the beginning. You clearly don't know much about the kitsune-dragon conflict." She grabbed her mug from the table and took a sip. "Yuki is one fine brewer of coffee." 
Tetra looked Clyde in the eye and told him the situation. 
 Dragon and kitsune were natural enemies, seemingly destined to fight each other for an eternity. Their clashes often doomed everything around them, damaging Satovia, nature, and the survival of either species. The clan leaders of that time realized this and developed a treaty. A dragon and a kitsune married in their human forms to bind it. Centuries later, the largest dragon family in the world, the Soulless teamed up with some other clans to dishonor the peace treaty, under the command of someone who claimed to be the disciple of the Thousand Year Dragon. The Disciple supposedly led the charge against the kitsune, although some rumors stated he or she watched from afar. No one knew of any survivors. 
During Tetra's tale, an ability activated.

[Talent. Main character stuff: Brief glimpse into the past.]

The image was shown to him for maybe a second, but the carnage of people…of Harumi's family burned into his brain and made him sick. The talent activated a few more times, revealing two young girls, struggling to survive on their own. The older girl received a vision ten times worse than Clyde's—almost a real-time video. She was traumatized and refused to return to the nation. The young girl stayed. Fearing she'd be taken advantage of, the older girl doubled her work and constantly sent money to her sibling. 
However, no matter how much she tried, she could not convince her to leave the nation. The fires of revenge burned strong within the younger girl.
 "Do you know why they broke the peace?" Hinako asked. "The books of mythology always placed them as natural enemies, but nothing beyond that is mentioned. What is the Thousand Year Dragon?"
 "I was just getting into that," Tetra said softly, then gulped. "Every time I think of this rumor, I get nervous."
Clyde eyed her. Tetra smiled. "I'm glad you're here." She reached over and squeezed the young man's hand.

Tetra's eyes hardened.
 "The Thousand Year Dragon or as some call it, The Thousand-Eyed Dragon, was the supposed god of all the serpent bastards. A creature of evil, according to some of my peoples' tomes. One of the original terrors of mankind, elf, and all species alike. It was so powerful that it took fifty gods to seal it. Yet…despite the seal, the rumors of it somehow killing the Nine-tailed fox, the Kitsune's deity, spread all over the place. That apparently served as some kind of sign for the Disciple to launch an assault which ultimately led to this day."
 "But that's impossible," Tear said. "The dragon god is sealed. So the question is, what really happened to the Nine-tails?"
 "Well, it's not like we can communicate with the heavens and ask to speak with the Nine-tails," Tetra said flatly. 
 "I do not believe the Nine-tailed fox is dead," Noona said, gathering all of their eyes. "I think…the torch has been passed on."
 "What do you mean by that?" Clyde asked.
Noona shrugged.
 "It's speculation. I have no evidence for my words. You may even call it a feeling." She smiled. "So let's not worry about the Nine-tails, she's a kind survivor."
Something about those words bugged Clyde, but now wasn't the time to worry about a missing deity. She certainly wasn't there when Harumi and Liru needed her the most. The young man's blood boiled with righteous fury. He stoked the anger in the back of his mind knowing damn well that his pink-haired fiancée still tackled each day with a smile.
 "Where does the Soulless family live?" Clyde asked. 
 "Clyde, you can't be," Tetra said. "You must keep in mind that they're dragons! And the new generation was not involved in the attack."
 "Relax," Clyde said. "I'm not going to stupidly charge in there to attempt genocide. I just want to know more about them." His voice darkened. "And who our enemies are."
 "The Soulless family are the owners of the Dragoon Corps," Tetra said. "You can find Dragoon stores and colleges all over the world. As for our enemies, my guess would be the elder dragons."
 "What are the chances that this Disciple is a Soulless?" Clyde asked.
 "I have no idea," Tetra said.
Clyde sighed.
 "I guess…the dragons are pretty much untouchable, until we have more information."
 "Sorry," Tetra said.
 "You have nothing to apologize for," Clyde said. "But, thank you for filling us in on the situation. Hinako, do you mind texting a summary of this to all Team Stone members, including Harumi. I'll send you any phone numbers you're missing."
 "I've got them all, well, except you, Noona."
Noona eagerly traded numbers with the professor. A prompt surprised the fuck out of Clyde.

Mandatory main story quests. It's been a while, Clyde thought. Why did the system want him to visit the capital city? Well, he was technically adventuring, so why not?

Clyde revealed to his team about the sudden trip to the capital city without giving any details. As expected, they gave him skeptical looks.
 "Just a feeling," he said. "Anyway, it's getting late. I'll ask Naoko about some dragon things in the morning."
The crew nodded their agreements. He could see a full moon outside the large window, surrounded by a starry sky. 
Tomorrow, they had work to do. Clyde did an inventory and equipment check while on the way to his room. To his luck, he bumped into Maki down the hall and without Sophia around.

Ye Ci, who was holding on to Orthus, blushed, "Fleeting Time, you bastard! You bastard! You bastard! You're the most shameless person I've ever known!" 

Despite being on the receiving end of Ye Ci's verbal abuse, Fleeting Time was still able to somehow produce a piece of satin and waved it at her, "Until next time! I'll definitely miss you!" 

Ye Ci continued shouting at Fleeting Time, but her voice was not able to reach his ears over the loud noise of Orthus's machine. Her expression, however, was a telltale sign that her words were not exactly pleasing to the ears. 

Sour Apple could feel goosebumps popping up all over her body. Dear lord! she could not believe her eyes and ears, will Fleeting Time even do something like that if he's not interested in that girl? 

This is too scary…

She pinched her face, and the pain told her that it was not a dream. Since when is Fleeting Time like this? Why do I not know anybody about it? Sour Apple was about to throw some mockery at Fleeting Time when she noticed that the man's expression had grown cold the moment he retracted his gaze. 

Sour Apple immediately swallowed her words. She knew the reason behind Fleeting Time's behavior. 

A smile formed on Sour Apple's lips, "What? You're missing her already?" she sighed. 

Even when he was a man and she a woman, and despite their somewhat rocky relationship because of White Fairytale, Sour Apple had known Fleeting Time for more than a decade. She knew what was going on in his mind. He was merely sparing himself from the feeling of loneliness. 

Fleeting Time  narrowed his eyes at Sour Apple, "Why? Planning to tell a certain someone about what you saw?" his expression became that of a sly fox in the blink of an eye. He was fiddling with the reigns of the unicorn that he did not managed to give away, but there was an unmistakable killing intent in his eyes. 

This was a behavior that was rarely displayed by Fleeting Time. He would usually remain indifferent and ignore Sour Apple at the mention of White Fairytale's name. This time, however, was different. The killing intent and the cold expression on Fleeting Time's face was something that was not familiar to Sour Apple. She came to the realization that Gongzi You meant more to Fleeting Time then she had ever imagined. "I'll never involve myself in the thing between you and White Fairytale ever again." 

"There's nothing going on between us." Fleeting Time had always maintained a clear standing in this matter, "She's just a former schoolmate of mine." his expression grew colder, "I wish that I've never known her." 

"It's my bad." Sour Apple grimaced, "I'll never meddle with White Fairytale's affairs again. Are you satisfied with this answer?" 

"It has nothing to do with me." Fleeting Time mounted his unicorn, "thank you for coming all the way here to deliver the skillbook." and he began to leave. 

But how could Sour Apple allow him to leave so easily? She immediately called out to Fleeting Time, "Do you care a lot about that Gongzi You?" 

Fleeting Time stopped dead in his tracks and turned around to face Sour Apple after a slight pause, "She's the woman I like." he said with an arrogant smile. 

With that, Fleeting Time left towards the direction of Saint Light City. 

Sour Apple was left dumbfounded. She let out a long sigh when she thought of Gongzi You, and then of Fleeting Time's behavior. Some things are just full of mystery, and they could not be changed.

With a smile, she mounted her black warhorse and headed back to Saint Light City as well. 

Silence once against settled in the Bloody Wilderness.

With its incredible speed, Orthus's flying machine was able to reach the Southern Continent side of the Tempest Ravine in a very short amount of time. 

The sky was already darkening, shrouding the land with shadows. Orthus stood on a pillar of the bridge and stared at Ye Ci, "You did better than expected, Elf." 

"Can I take that as a compliment?" Ye Ci shrugged with a smile. 

This prompted drew a smile from Orthus. His facial features were even uglier than the rest of his kin, which made discerning the Goblin's thoughts hard for Ye Ci whenever he made an expression. Of course, Orthus wasted no time in continuing the subject. He pulled a gold gilded book out of his pack and threw it at Ye Ci, "I really have nothing that I can thank you with, but it will make us Goblins look bad if I don't thank you properly. This book is for you." 

The book was immediately snatched out of the air by Ye Ci. It was way thicker than the book given to her by De'frei. The words "Goblin Engineering: Siege Engines" were embroiled on the brown cover of the book, and its pages were not made with paper, and was instead thin goatskin. Despite the obvious traces that the book was often used by its previous owner, its pages were not torn nor were they worn. 

Ye Ci's heart skipped a beat when she noticed the title of the book. 

Oh my God! Goblin Siege Engines!

In Ye Ci's last life, a fragment of the book first appeared in the game six years after the launch of Fate in a chest behind a very powerful BOSS. It took 30 fragments to make a complete book, but the drop rate of the fragment was very low, and the dungeon was very difficult to clear. Even at the time of her reincarnation, there was only of few of such books in Fate. 

But in her current life, Ye Ci was able to obtain a full copy of the book after only a single year, and this was a great source of joy for her. 

By the time the third expansion pack was introduced to Fate in Ye Ci's last life, players from all over the world had swarmed into the game. The siege battle system of Fate was already refined at that point in time which brought more rewards to players. In its undeveloped stage, a siege battle in Fate was fought with human waves tactics, and this meant that the odds were heavily stacked against the players on the attacking side. With the introduction of <Goblin Engineering: Siege Engines>, siege battles were made significantly easier. The human waves tactic that was previously employed was immediately replaced with the deployment of powerful siege engines. 

Engineering players were able to prosper as the demand for siege engines rose. At the later state of the game, Engineers were a finite resources that was highly sought after. 

Of course, this was something that happened in the later stage of the game. 

Based on Ye Ci's memory of her last life, the player who completed the same Epic-tier quest had not received this book.The player did not reveal the content of the quest completion reward, but one thing was certain: if he did received the book as a reward, siege engines would be introduced fairly early into the game. 

In Ye Ci's last life, this Epic-tier quest was the first quest of the same tier to be completed two years after Fate was launched. The player completed this quest slightly later than Ye Ci, but the <Goblin Engineering: Siege Engines> fragments surfaced six years after Fate was launched. If the anonymous player received the book, he would never allow it to go to waste even if it was not of use to him. He would definitely sell the book to a major guild for a handsome price. 

Such an occurrence, however, did not happen. This meant that the player in Ye Ci's last life had failed in obtaining this book. This was probably related to the completion rate of the quest. thought Ye Ci to herself. She knew nothing about the details of the party that explored Vo'sok in her last life, but she was glad that she was able to obtain such an overpowered item as a reward by not abandoning Ciel. 

She began reading the description of the book.

This was the best reward to Ye Ci ever since she started the quest. She happily placed the book into her inventory and cast a glance at Orthus, "Thank you for the gift." 

"You don't have to thank me. I wouldn't have given it to you if Vo'sok was not destroyed" said Orthus with a dismissive wave. 

I knew it! This has something to do with the completion rate! 

"With Vo'sok destroyed and the Goblin race scattered throughout the land, we won't be using this for a very long time. I might as well give it to you while we're at it. I hope that this book will be of use to you. We Goblins love it when our machines are able to bring change into the lives of others." Orthus' expression softened. The bad tempered Goblin appeared gentle as he talked about his hobby. 

Orthus stood up and said to Ye Ci, "Go tell Moore that I will try my best to get the job done." 

I knew it! There's something unusual about Moore! He was in contact with the Doran Thieves Guild and a neutral race like the Goblins…. Just what is he up to? Moore is good friends with the lord of Red Lake City as well. I wonder what's going on between them… 

The completion of the quest in Ye Ci last life brought little to no change to Fate. This time however, was different. Ye Ci could already start to see the change. 

Despite her suspicions, Ye Ci replied with a polite tone, "I will deliver your words to Lord Moore, Mr.Orthus." and she turned around to leave. 

Just then, Orthus called out to her. 

"Hey, Elf…" 

"What is it, Mr.Orthus?" Ye Ci turned around to face Orthus once again. Ye Ci's common sense told her that there should be no more quests from Orthus, but she was always happy to respond to a special NPC like him. 

"I've heard from my teacher that you were talking to Ciel about the Dragonia?" asked Orthus after much hesitation. 

Ye Ci was alarmed. The Dragonia was only mentioned by many NPCs in the game after the introduction of the new patch. She had never encountered any NPCs in her past life that would talk about the race before the patch. Could Orthus' words be some sort of hint? 

Despite her thoughts, Ye Ci was still able to maintain a smile on her face, "You're correct." 

"Where exactly have you seen a Dragon?" 

Orthus had apparently not been in a major city. The Dragonia had been mentioned in many of the books in the libraries, and the bones of a Dragon could often be seen in museums. This was why players knew about the existence of the Dragonia despite their limited knowledge of the race.

"There have been mentions about the Dragonia in the libraries of the main city of each continent. Even if little was recorded about the race, it's still an interesting read." said Ye Ci with a smile. She spoke up again when Orthus nodded and was about to end the conversation, "But I've seen Altera with my own eyes before." 

"What?!" exclaimed Orthus. The Goblin was apparently shocked by Ye Ci's sudden revelation as he stared at her with mouth agape, "Are you talking about Altera, the Queen of the Dragonia?" 

"I did not know who she was, but… She's beautiful." Ye Ci's subtly reminded Orthus that he had said too much with a smile on her face. 

"H-how do you know that it's Altera?" from the weariness in Orthus' eyes, it was easy to tell that he did not wish to let Ye Ci in on more secrets. 

"She was covered with red scales, and there was silvery feathers between her eyes. It's all written in the National Library. I'm certain that it was her. There's not many of them with feathers, and a Dragon with feathers between its eyes was quite unique." the smile remained on Ye Ci's face. 

Orthus spoke up softly after a long moment, "Tell me, Elf… Where did you see Altera?" 

"In Dark Clay City." nodded Ye Ci, "Altera was flying past the Swamp of Sorrows to the direction of the Middle Continent. 

"What the hell has Moore done?" Orthus was enraged, but the Goblin waved his hand dismissively after realizing his slip, "Alright! Off you go, Elf. Farewell." and the Goblin vanished into thin air. 

The Doran Thieves Guild, the Goblins, and even the Dragonia… Orthus was not the only one who was concerned about Moore's intentions. Even Ye Ci herself could feel a strong sense of curiosity welling within her. Just what the hell is the lord of the Dark Clay City up to?

I hold the book tightly and tried to burn it with magic but I don't know any flame type magic.

I reached the capital's gate in no time.
The capital is round with the Royal Castle at the center, I should visit them sometime.

The marketplace is livelier as usual and from up here I can see demi-humans from a distance.
This is my first time seeing them since I walk on the same road everytime.
I thought there would be a discrimination against other races but it seems that's not the case.

I reached the Guild and gradually landed.
I disabled my <<Concealment>> and went inside the Guild.

There are only few people inside looking at the quest board.
I looked at the board and it was full of silver and bronze rank quests.
Finding a flower, Subjugating a Wolf?! Seriously?! How can that be a quest?

I looked further atop of the low ranked quests and found a Ruby class quest.

I head over to the guild receptionist to make the quest authorized.
I took the Quest and pretended to put it inside my coat although I'm just putting it in my <<Space Manipulation: Inventory>>

The guild receptionist reluctantly agreed and granted me the authorization to clear the dungeon.
I walk out of the guild and flew towards the Gate of the capital.

「Ahh! You're the guy who's always with Enki-san.」
「Ah yes..」

I cast <<Space Manipulation: Inventory>> and took out the Quest.

「....do you guys know where Lusus Naturae mountain is?」

The soldiers quivered as I asked about the mountain.

「Y-yes... B-but that's w-w-where the R-raven d-d-dragon recides, s-so-」
「Yeah I know... can you tell me where it is?」
「K-keep heading towards North-west from here, y-you'll get there in a few hours if you walk-」
「Oh! Thank you.」

I heard them whispered to each other as I flew towards the direction they told me.

I reached the Lusus Naturae Mountain and beside it are thousands of monsters lurking around a huge tower bigger than the mountain.

I said to myself while laughing vigorously.

I cast a magic circle wide enough to surround the entire mountain and tower.
The Meteorites are killing all the monsters around the area, even the tower is getting destroyed.

A loud prolonged cry was heard, it was the Raven Dragon.
Its body was almost cremated by the metorites, purple blood is flowing out from its body.
I landed on top of it to check if it's still alive... its dead.

I took its severed head and put it in my <<Space Manipulation: Inventory>>.

'He knows about my status? Looks like it's better to tell the men to stay away'

The men hesitated at first, but upon seeing Hector's gaze, they complied with the order and left them alone.

Hector wanted to shut their mouth but came to a conclusion he might not be that different from them. A normal human being would be excited about playing a game, especially a virtual reality one except the part this is real. The special thing about their character is that their job supports all type of skills, even mastering them is a small feat and easier when compared to the experts. 

A loud buzzing sound came to their ears, it was the Global Task Force's combat helicopters, many soldiers were sitting on the edge of the helicopters, ready to be deployed at any time. These were the standard soldiers of the Security Bureau, as there were no units specialized in eliminating dragons. Like any other member of the Global Task Force, they wore standardized black suit models that protect them from all kinds of environment. The only thing to specify what unit a soldier is in is by looking at the code color insignia attached to the right arm. It looks like a small inflated small colorized balloon with black writings on it. Since they were the standard general unit, they didn't have any of those. One of them unarmed escorted by two armed soldiers moved in front of Hector.


"Greetings, I'm Commander Tiago.  I'm sure you've received the news already. "
"Yes I have, you'll be assisting me in my first official operation"
"It is my honor to serve under your command. What great plans do you have?" 
"I'll need your men to create a S.A.R team for the two missing teams. They should still be alive. Create a defensive perimeter around the area and raise minimum clearance level to Restricted"
"Understood, I'll organize the men."

Hector's friends were dumbfounded. Their parents usually were very respectful towards their faction military officers, yet he simply talks with them casually. Just who is he exactly? They thought he was just an officer of a special police force. 

"Hey mister, shouldn't you be telling us who you are?" 
"Even my dad acts very respectfully to such high figures." 
"Yeah, are you some big shot here?"

Hector coughed and gazed towards a few agents to take the adults away forcefully. They weapon butt them from behind and injected them with a serum to make them unconscious longer.
"Is this fine Sir?"
"Yup, bring them back to the base. Keep them guarded and monitored at all times."
"Yes Sir"

Knowing their behaviors, they would expose their power too easily to protect their comrades. Which is why Hector knocked ordered the men to knock them out. Two soldiers were shouting to Captain Pavo, who is sitting on one of the supply crates. They were Agent Jerry and Agent Karen from Captain Ruth's team.

"Report, what happened?"
" I..."

Before Agent Karen managed to continue her sentence, she fainted on the ground. Taking note of her body information which can be considered quite bad from the scanner, he instructed a medical trooper to take her away to the infirmary. Agent Jerry felt bad seeing his comrade-in-arms getting taken away. The Captain coughed to get him back to his senses.

"Are we going to stand all day here?"
"No sir, reporting that Captain Ruth had previously ordered us to inform Special Agent Hector about our findings, possibly another officer-grade monster. The last thing I was informed through communication was that Lieutenant Vallerie's team managed to regroup with Captain Ruth's team"
