   It's been an hour since the photos. Things have gotten even weirder. We found several dead crows on the ground. There were so many our feet had to push them. We also found another audio recorder pressed against the tree. We played the recorder. It was of Jenny and Me screaming and a monstrous screech behind us. Just like the one from last night. We also found blood splashed on trees. 
  The missing posters are more graphic now. They all show our faces missing something. Amy's are just are scribbled out. Mine had both of my eyes missing. They dont looked photoshop either they look real. I think now that the pine forest demon is real. We just made the worst decision of our lives.

This is one man’s story on how the app changed his life and the world around him.

Of course, Tu Yi didn't give up without a fight. He mobilized his contacts in the media and attacked Fan Bao with more vigor than the last. He fired up so much online hate against Fan Bao people started asking themselves who the hell is this Fan Bao netizens were hating so much about? Fan Bao was not a public figure. No one had even seen what she looked like but the tweeterverse seemed to be so rabid in condemning her it could only mean she was either a faded celebrity looking to renew her career or an up and coming actress hoping to sell tickets by promoting her movie via a viral controversy. 

            When the three o'clock deadline was up, Tu Yi's nightmare began. It started with a leaked audio of a man and a woman having sex. It went viral in just 30 seconds not because of the usual sounds accompanying such activities but because the voice of the woman seemed very familiar and the man's demand for kinky sex was too graphic and titillating to be ignored by listeners.

             In just one hour, netizens quickly deduced that the woman was the wife of the current prime minister and the man was her husband's close friend and business ally, Tu Yi. They found out it was him because of an online purchase he made which he was later photographed carrying. He must have had the package delivered to his office that day because he was seen carrying it when he walked out the building. Then he went to a public event and the small package was again seen and when asked about it by reporters, he laughingly said it was a gift for his wife.

             But unknown to him, someone opened the little package and took a photo of the inside of the box. It turns out, the package contained a stunning set of diamond necklace and pair of earrings done in the very distinct style of Templar. The diamond at the heart of the necklace was called the Pink Blush because of its color.  Templar had been running a cute ad about it under the catchy banner Lovers' on Parade, which immediately became viral.

            What damned him though was the card that came with the gift. Not to Li Jing, his wife, but to Bai Chang An, the wife of his good friend the prime minister. Bai Chang An was also photographed wearing the diamond necklace and earrings while greeting the representative of a foreign country with her husband. 

           So the trap was set and it was only a matter of time before Tu Yi tried to wiggle his way out of it. He didn't know it yet but he was caught line, sinker and soul so struggle all he can, he could not escape the trap Fan Bao had set especially for him. The audio and the curious case of the diamond jewelry was just a prelude. The main dish was the high-definition sex video of him and Bai Chang An, committing all acts of delicious sin, and using all manners of sexual devices including bondage and the use of bodily fluids to heighten their pleasure.

           Before the surprise unveiling of the main event, however, the communications office of the prime minister sent out a very press-friendly rep who defended the diamond brouhaha by saying outright that it was all nonsense. If just about anybody can fake the voices of the prime minister's lady and director Tu Yi so, too, can they fake written notes on gift cards. The truth of the matter is, the prime minister had asked his close friend director Tu Yi to make those set of diamonds jewelries because he and his wife's anniversary were coming up and he wanted to surprise her with something nice. It was just unfortunate that the prime minister's political opponents used the gift to cast doubts on his good friend's character. It was all a political trick and the communications rep ended her spiel with a call for peace.

           It was all plausible and so touching at the end that the press and the watching public were ready to believe it but...the curtains literally came down on the pretty comm rep as a graphic scene of sexual deviance and misconduct between the director and the prime minister's wife started playing out behind her on a giant TV screen. 

           Bai Chang An's open mouth was licking Tu Yi's naked cock up and down, down and up, her tongue circling the cock's bulbous head like a lollipop.  Above her, Tu Yi was manipulating a vibrator up her ass, the battery whirring like a little air fan. Both of them were blind to their surroundings, deaf to the sound of running cars outside a vine-covered terrace they were doing their thing at. The camera panned and showed the front of the building, the government office, the seat of His Majesty's government.            "See in your office in 30. We have a lot to talk about. Bye." Fan Bao laughed. The line went dead.

           "I'm taking the kids and leaving you," Li Jing said calmly, as he stared bewildered at his dead phone. "You're finished, Tu Yi. But we won't go down with you. Never. Tell your little whore here to put some clothes on. She's fired. I expect her to leave the house in ten minutes. Otherwise, if I ever see her again I'm going to put a bullet in her fucking cunt."

           Li Jing turned and left. Tu Yi was left alone with a sobbing Lu Lu and the image of him and Bai Chang An copulating on the screen.

           He arrived ten minutes early, wearing a disguise as he sneaked into the 19th floor and into his office. He looked outside the terrace, at the hustle and bustle of traffic, and realized he was doing the same thing just a week ago, staring at the same sight under grey weather. He looked behind him and there was Fan Bao, dressed in short shorts and high heels, smiling charmingly at him.

          "Hiya, Mr. Masturbator. Watcha doing?"

           Tu Yi looked at her, trembling with repressed anger. He wanted to punch her in her fucking face and throw her body out onto the street and watch the world tear her into little pieces. He didn't find her attractive now. He found her repulsive and sickening. And he wanted to kill and destroy her at the same time.

           "Not a chance, Bator master," Fan Bao laughed, as if reading his thoughts. "I told you, didn't I, that I'm going to destroy you unless you give me back Templar?"

           "In your dreams, you fucking cunt," he said spitefully.

           "I almost forgot to tell you, there's another video coming out at four this afternoon. Of you raping your wife's twelve year old niece."

           Tu Yi was so shocked he fell on his ass as his legs wobbled beneath him. He looked up at Fan Bao, his face so pale it looked as if all the blood had receded from his body.

           "I beg you..." he stammered, his body racked with shivers.

           "You're an evil man, Bator master," Fan Bao said, looking distastefully at him like he was a worm crawling in front of her. "It's men like you I can't stand. You pretend to be kind and educated and beyond reproach but your soul stinks like garbage. You have exactly ten minutes to give me Templar or that video will be seen by everyone and you'll spend the rest of your life in jail. I'll wait for you inside."

            It didn't take five minutes. Tu Yi signed all his rights to Templar by selling his shares to Fan Bao at a much lesser cost than he originally bought it. At the back of his mind though was the vengeful thought that Fan Bao was now the owner of a once mighty company teetering on bankruptcy. The mines have been hallowed out and emptied. Fan Bao would be lucky to even find a single diamond to survive the crash.

             Tu Yi left and waited for Templar's demise. He waited and waited but it never came. Fan Bao took control of the world's largest producer of diamonds to great fanfare. He saw it on the news and cable tv. He was at this time living outside the country, hiding from the wrath of his friend the prime minister who sent assassins to find and kill him.

              A friend had suggested undergoing a painful and expensive facial reconstruction process that would totally change his appearance. Tu Yi didn't know if he could go through with the surgery though. It would mean the end of his life. He would never see Li Jing and his children again. He will be isolated from everyone he loved and he felt very unhappy about it.

             Tu Yi was an ambitious man who was always careful not to make the same mistake twice. But the survival instinct that served him well in his youth had been blunted by wealth and easy living over the years so he failed to recognize the presence of an enemy who proved to be more ruthless and cunning than him. She was so cunning he didn't even realize how much until she had pulled the plug from under him and left him with nothing, not even his name, his honor or his future.

Fan Bao transmigrates into the body of the sickly stepdaughter of a wealthy family in the present time. 

Her real identity, however, is Emperor Zhen Fan Bao, a wicked, ruthless emperor feared by all.

Her other identity is the Holy Knight of Seers, tasked to find the Jewels of Destiny before the Demon King gets to them.

Fan Bao loves no one, especially her unwanted fiancee, the equally ruthless Feng Gan, ruler of Wang Lei.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-147 is to be kept in a simulacrum of a 1950s-era living room. Its current container contains a throw rug, two armchairs, a phonograph, a rotary telephone, and other suitable decorations. SCP-147 will reject any items dating from later than late March, 1965 (See Addendum 0-40). It requires no external power source or connection.
Description: Discovered 1983 in a civilian home in Detroit, Michigan. SCP-147 appears to be a 1957 General Electric brand black-and-white television, model 17TO26. SCP-147 has been observed to exhibit two different behaviors:
Optimal: When SCP-147 is in an acceptable room, it will display broadcasts of 1950s-era comedies, such as The Burns and Allen Show, Father Knows Best, and I Love Lucy. In every case, each broadcast has been completely unique: archives of the programs, none of which are still being produced, have failed to find any record of the episodes that SCP-147 plays. No commercials are shown, and there is no indication as to which station would be broadcasting these shows. All broadcasts are in black and white. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its optimal state reported a pleasant feeling of relaxation. In this state, the item's volume and channels can be adjusted, though the off switch appears to have no effect.
Hostile: When modern-day items are present in SCP-147's environment, the item will only display extremely violent and gruesome color footage; beheadings, rapes, executions, and torture have all been observed, but as of yet no footage has been broadcast that indicates when or where the scenes depicted took place. The footage is invariably of high visual and audio quality. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its hostile state almost invariably vomit due to the graphic nature of the broadcasts after ten to fifteen seconds; one subject suffered a nervous breakdown after two minutes of exposure. Every subject has displayed an extreme reluctance to recall the contents of the broadcasts, and two out of the fifteen subjects tasked with viewing SCP-147's hostile broadcasts have since committed suicide. None of the item's controls respond during hostile broadcasts.
Attempts to examine the internals of SCP-147 have been unsuccessful, as the item's shell resists any and all attempts to crack it open. Placing the item in a Faraday cage in order to negate any possible transmissions it could be receiving had no effect. The effects of long-term exposure to SCP-147 have not been documented.
Addendum: Any and all recreational activities involving SCP-147 are to be scheduled at least one week beforehand with approval by Level 4 personnel.
Addendum [0-40]: See File TC-147-B for further details. After [DATA EXPUNGED] suggestion, several objects manufactured throughout the 1960s era were brought in. Objects made past March of the year 1965 have resulted in a hostile behavior. Exact dating is difficult due to troubles of obtaining materials precisely made on testable dates and times. Reasons as to why it acts in such a way depending on a specific object's date are unknown, and being tested by [DATA EXPUNGED].
Addendum [0-40a]: As has been verified repeatedly, the presence of persons born after March 1965 does not in and of itself trigger a hostile event. For reasons still unknown, SCP-147 objects mainly to manufactured items. Dr. ████████ ████ recently conducted an experiment in which he clothed himself with vintage (pre-1965) articles of clothing, with the caveat that he had three Bic Flair pens (invented in the 1970s) in his shirt pocket. What he saw while seated in front of SCP-147, he would later describe as "a bizarre episode of I Love Lucy featuring a surprising amount of gunplay."
Addendum [1-80]: Recent tests that involved exposing convicted rapists and psychopaths to the object while it was hostile has indicated that the object is able to tailor the images to the viewer. A rapist was strapped into a metal chair manufactured in 1986, and during that time not a single **** was shown on the screen, while scenes of genital mutilation (primarily male) occurred more often. Similarly, a psychopath who had tortured someone to death saw fewer scenes of torture, and more scenes of botched executions.

There are several achievements and requirements that any aspiring mage hoping to gain the coveted title of 'Archmage' has to acquire to reach the bare minimum to be considered.
One of these requirements was the ownership of a mage tower. 
Mage towers were extremely expensive to construct as the material necessary for their creation could run upwards of the range of five hundred billion Enas.
Mage towers were not just the simple homes of mana wielders but rather it was both a place to rest and a living weapon enchanted by the owner's use of runes carved on its surface.
From the outside, Archmage Hollystorm's mage tower was a far stretch from an imposing or even impressive appearance.
It looked like a wooden shack only the size of one small bedroom apartment. 
No expensive materials could be seen in its construction as it appeared that the tower was built out of ordinary hardwood.
But no one would dare to underestimate this humble abode as it was as simple as breathing to an archmage specializing in spatial magic to manipulate the actual dimensions inside of this seemingly ordinary shack.
It was in this tower that Astrid was currently pretending to study when her mentor flew into the room.
"Why are you getting so distracted during our lesson?" a stern voice whispered next to the Mendolesa girl currently drawing doodles instead of runes on parchment paper.
"It's just so boring," Astrid whined as her tail drooped down in frustration.
 "Can't we just fight instead?"
Archmage Hollystorm had to resist the urge to beat this troublesome apprentice of his to death. 
All Astrid wanted to do was duel him! 
No matter how many times he would beat her down…...
She would return a few minutes later after drinking a healing serum for yet another round with a confident grin on her face.
Astrid Lockhart was one of the most naturally gifted mages among the younger generations that the archmage had ever seen. 
She would learn any spells he taught almost immediately with the impressive ability to cast them using less time than her peers.
But it was her dangerously high skill in combat that truly made the Archmage almost obsessed with the possibility of teaching student that would one day surpass him.
Spatial magic was one of the most difficult branches of magic to learn as it required both talent and the ability to perform complex series of calculations in microseconds with every spell.
If he had to name, the biggest flaw of his apprentice it would have to be that she got distracted too easily.
She could only manage to sit down and read spell scrolls for about thirty minutes before her mind started to wander around.
Archmage Hollystorm would often catch her gazing at the enormous oak tree in the garden of the magic tower with a silly grin on her face.
Maybe the traditional way of teaching magic would not work, most mages were content to stay indoors all day and read various ancient books and texts, but it was clear that Astrid was not going to learn that way.
Perhaps he could try a different approach instead.
"Alright you can take a break from reading," Archmage Hollystorm declared as he left the room to plan out a new training schedule. 
"Hell yeah! Thanks, old man!" Astrid gleefully put down the pages of runes in her hand and got up to stretch.
She gave the air a few sniffs and sighed in contentment. 
This was the personal mage tower of an archmage so naturally there was the slight musky smell of old books from the numerous libraries contained in its spacious rooms.
Honestly, her master treated her very well and generously allowed her to have five private rooms just for her own personal use. 
It was quite the luxurious five-star treatment as the numerous golems walking around the halls were available to tend to any need or desire that she could possibly have.
Food, drinks, a back massage and basically any other relaxing service was provided. 
"Hmm…. I should check up on the girls," Astrid muttered as she pulled out her communicator. 
"Maybe I should message Qiana first."
It was pretty lonely having to take separate classes from the rest of her friends, but the girls had made plans to meet every evening of the week and spend time hanging out on the weekends.

Astrid closed the chat window and sent a long message to Sophie as well as a significantly shorter one to Cleo but got no responses.
She figured that the class had probably resumed so both girls had their communicators on silent mode.
Browsing the virtual net for some new entertainment news provided a good distraction while she waited for her teacher to return.
"Damn," Astrid widened her eyes in shock at the trending news.
A colony of nomadic earthlings had been destroyed in the span of one single day. 
These nomads were human settlers who had rejected the rule of the Earth Federation and spent their lifetimes travelling from planet to planet while trading and performing to survive.
Some saw them as a nuisance, others saw them as harmless and the government had yet to take an official stance on their existence, so they just kept on with their way of life.
The remains of a major clan of nomads called the 'Diyebs' with a population of two hundred thousand people were discovered by scavengers on a deserted planet in the Hydra Star Cluster. 
The images from the incident had been banned on the virtual net for being too graphic, but the limited description provided by the article indicated that not a single corpse was in one piece.
The corpses were badly mutilated and torn apart with several bodies showing signs of being partially eaten. 
No one knew why this group of people had chosen to visit this planet nor who exactly was responsible for the attack.
All electronics, surveillance and monitoring devices had been seized by the Earth Federation government.
There was one surviving audio footage from a tribe leader that a scavenger had managed to hide and upload to the virtual net, but it was taken down in mere seconds.
Astrid tried desperately for a few minutes to see if any sites dared to reupload the audio file, but it seemed that her quest was destined to be fruitless as all traces of it had been wiped clean.

Doctor Valenna's Notes:
The first trial run of the human insectoid hybrids has been an overwhelming success, but some concerns still remain when considering their long-term viability.
All recordings of the operation have been recovered and the rumors on the virtual net have been suppressed. 
It was quite unfortunate that scavengers arrived just before the cleanup crew was sent over to wipe away the evidence. 
Clearly better planning must be done for the second round of testing.
Bounty hunters from the grey market have already been hired to eliminate them swiftly.
It is important that no evidence linking the government to this project must be found. 
The subjects show a marked increase in their physical characteristics, but their mental capabilities seem to have been directly reduced by fifty percent or more.
Another troubling issue that has emerged is the subjects' tendencies to go berserk and disobey orders when exposed to fresh blood or organs.
And the greatest flaw of these new modified soldiers is their extremely shortened life expectancy. 
Human DNA can be forcibly mixed with low level Insectoid races, but the resulting hybrids do not live beyond thirty days before their bodies shut down and they expire.
Currently most subjects have a strength that can be estimated to be within the range of the qi body and spirit stage, but further modifications will be possible.
The lack of genetic samples from high level insectoid races will soon become a barrier to any further progress on our research.
My current speculation is that a perfect hybrid weapon could be created by mixing the DNA with fetuses rather than fully grown adults.
Tests of this nature should begin next month.
I can only hope that the higher ups will continue to provide us with appropriate materials on a regular basis.

The Church was abandoned. No sign of Ultron ever having been there. No sign of him in the town either. This was a wasted trip.
"We'll split up for now." Cap ordered. "In case he's still close or if we can find any of his robots. They may be watching us."
Ultron was watching them alright. But not through any of the Sentries. The place had enough CCTV cameras for even a high school kid with a laptop to go crazy over.
JARVIS seemed to be about to share the same thoughts with the Cap, but Tony interrupted him quickly.
"Sure, J and I will take over the west side."
After 3 hours stuck on the jet with Mr. Righteous, — stuck between being scolded for creating a murder-bot and being compared with his father —he was the irresponsible one between the two of them apparently, he! Not the alcoholic father who preferred searching for a ghost in the Arctic Ocean instead of staying with his family— and being force-fed some patriotic BS about unity, especially when half the crew on board was distinctly not American —some even actively fought against the country, looking at you Wonder Twins, — he needed a break.
Later, once he dwelled on Rogers' words over some scotch, he would probably accept that he had exaggerated how annoying it had been and might have read a bit too much in the supersoldier's words but for now? Now, he wanted to submerge in his prejudice and get away from the situation.
"Are you well, Sir?" JARVIS asked once they flew some distance away from the others.
"Just tired, JARVIS." Tony said, not really paying attention to where they were going. There was no point to it.
"I presume we are not about to search for Ultron or any of his Legionnaires?" JARVIS said, sounding exasperated already. It was amazing what this living body was doing for JARVIS' irrational responses. Tony loved it.
"You presume correctly." He answered dryly. "But pretenses are pretenses, so we'll fly over the place like good little soldiers, go sightseeing at all the tourist spots and maybe take a couple of selfies." He was joking, but that plan started to sound better by the second. "They will be your first selfies, JARVIS!" he shouted and started to fly lower to the ground, so he could see where he could take those aforementioned selfies.
"I am breathless with anticipation, Sir." the android said.
"As you should be." He nodded, then addressed the new AI on board. "Isn't that right, FRIDAY?"
"Absolutely, boss." A female voice with an Irish tilt spoke between them. As he had previously said, American English was too boring for his AIs.
But he was happy to hear the spirit in the new AI's tone. FRIDAY's personality matrix was based on the years-long data from JARVIS's own code and memories, so she was significantly more advanced and adjusted than JARVIS had been any time within his first decade of existence. She would still need to experience and learn for herself, but… she was her own person already. She merely needed some time to decide who that person was going to be.
"Hear that, J—?" Tony started, but some angry shouts nearby took his attention.
"Mmh." Tony wondered as his sensors picked up on a few drunk men loudly swearing at the man tending an outside bar. "How are you feeling about breaking up a bar fight as your first superhero act, JARVIS?"
The android looked at him incredulously. "There has not been any violence used yet, Sir."
"You better hope there won't be any." Tony teased. "Otherwise, imagine the headlines: "New Superhero breaks bar fight in Sokovia!" He then laughed at the android's exasperated expression. "Kidding, J. We'll just have to sneakily knock them out if things get out of hand. Though, this reminds me… We haven't picked a superhero name for you yet."
Thankful for the reprieve, JARVIS continued, "I don't need one, Sir. I don't think I shall invest in a secret identity, so it would be quite redundant."
"But we must pick a name for you! Or the vultures from the press are going to call you something completely lame and then, you'll be stuck with it forever, no matter how inaccurate it is!" he argued.
JARVIS smiled that soft little smile that Tony could see himself assigning Priority One to ensuring that it happened more often. "Like 'Iron Man'?"
Not exactly true. He had found it ridiculous in the beginning, but it had grown on him. However, before Tony could say anything about it, FRIDAY interrupted them.
"Boss," she said. "You'll want to see this."
The urgency in her tone took both of them aback. Had Ultron done something?
"What is it?" he asked.
"There's a television in the bar you spoke about earlier. You should both see it there."
They flew toward the place, although FRIDAY's suggestion was weird. Vision wasn't yet familiar with his body to pick up local waves while mid-flight, so perhaps that was why she wanted them to check the… news?
Instead of the commotion he expected when they landed, the drunk men had their eyes glued to the TV. Someone was making a speech in front of a podium with an unfamiliar flag perched on either side.
"FRIDAY, I don't see the point of some local official—" he stopped speaking as he realized who the man in the podium was. Medium length silver-white hair slicked back. Tall, with an athletic build. Pale. Blue eyes. Late twenties or early thirties. Familiar features.
That looked like Ultron. A grown-up Ultron who had lost his baby-fat and had bleached his hair and had apparently replaced the graphic T-shirts with a nice, gray, woolen suit, with a vest and dark tie and everything. He even had a brooch on a hanging chain for god's sake! What the fuck?!
"It's playing on every streaming device on the planet, boss." FRIDAY continued.
The world was literally watching. Tony tensed. Ultron was about to do something monumentally stupid, wasn't he?
On the screen, Ultron started to speak, but Tony couldn't understand the words. From the locals' reactions, they did. His voice, however, his voice Tony recognized. It sounded like Ultron, only deeper, more mature.
"The language is different in different regions," FRIDAY said. "I shall provide the audio in American English for you to hear."
And the audio that Americans were listening to started playing on his armor's speakers.
"Humanity!
I speak before you now—"
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
"Stark, are you seeing this?" Romanov spoke in his ear. Of course, she learned about Ultron's speech the moment it happened.
He didn't answer her. He was too stupefied.
"Stark, Ultron did something to the local channels!" the Cap shouted on the mics. Although, he didn't know the half of it yet.
Tony ignored him too. He kept listening to Ultron. He kept watching his anger, his confusion, his hopes, and encouragement on the screen.
"I shall give you the chance to answer. To rise. To fight." Ultron said at some point, and from that moment on, Tony zoned out.
Was Ultron… inciting a global insurrection? What was this announcement? Was it in preparation for something else? Was he still stuck on his ideals of world peace through world domination?
"Sir?" JARVIS spoke, once the speech was over, and they had been shocked into silence. The regular channel once again continued on TV. Some soccer game.
"Shit." he cursed. "He was serious. He was, right, JARVIS? Ultron was serious?"
He didn't hear the android respond. This wasn't just some announcement. This was PR. Publicity for the persona he was playing on the world stage. And his audience… they weren't merely the people… they were the governments. All of them.
Had Ultron... just declared war on the world?

Rebirth was not something that he had thought possible. Perhaps, he had had some vague hopes of reincarnation cycles as the more desirable option to afterlife. But being reborn in what he believed to be a fictional universe had only seemed as the premise of stories.
Waking up to a void of nothing, no light, no body, no feeling, and then being thrown into the midst of what had once seemed a mere fantasy— it was too much.
As an A.I., how much could he change? Could he save Tony? Could he save the world without his sacrifice? Or should he not do anything? What if his existence was the butterfly that would destroy the timeline, and with it, the universe?
Was this even a choice? Was he to play the villain? So the timeline could remain intact?
Could he even do that?
"You doing ok, kid?" Tony asked him.
"I'm fine, Tony, really."
No, no, he couldn't.

The professor's voice echoed throughout the classroom but held no attention to the students that fidgeted in their chairs, with random webpages up on their laptops or phones. Joseph stared at the blank word document he had open on his screen, he wanted to try to take notes, but his mind was elsewhere. Dimitri, the Mad Fang of Chicago, and Miriodere, the White Wolf of New York. Both were high on the four families blacklist, and both were reported to be dead. Now they were here on Elise's behalf with the order for Joseph to be a student.
"OH. OH. OH. YES."
The loud moan snapped everyone's head to the middle row.
"Mr. Jackson!!! What are you watching during my class!"
The poor guy tried to shut his laptop closed, but the audio kept playing, and it got more graphic by the second.
Joseph's phone vibrated against the plastic top desk.
'Hey. I really need to talk. Come by the house later. Your life could be in danger.' - Sigmar.
Joseph wouldn't be able to avoid this, no matter how much he tried to dissociate from the situation. There would be no good reason he would avoid a chat if his life were in danger. He would have to go.
The vestiges of summer heat that greeted him when he first got here changed to a chilled wind that cut through the thin wool hoody Joseph thought would be adequate after looking at the morning sun. Along his way under the shadows of orange leafed trees. Dimitri sat with a girl and a boy on each arm, little bit of blood trickled from their necks. They gazed at him like a kid with a three-story chocolate cake in front of them.
"Should you really be out in public?"
Dimitri turned his head, and a line of red leaked from the corner of his mouth.
"I'm just enjoying the local delicacies, and it's not like my cute little brother will even notice me right now." Dimitri brushed a lock of hair out of the way.
"Clean up before one of The Blades sees you." Joseph shook his head and left.
"You are nothing like her, you know? I'm disappointed in that." Dimitri shouted out.
Joseph raised his middle finger. He didn't want Dimitri to see the anger that flared across his face at that comment.
The door to The Blades house swung open before Joseph could even put his hand. On the handle. The black hooded individual strode past Joseph; shoulder pushed to the side.
"Nathan! Where are you going?" Sylvia's familiar voice screamed.
"Getting the fuck out of town until he is gone."
Nathan didn't even turn around. He just began to speed-walk off the premises. Joseph turned back to the red-eyed Sylvia, her usual clean one-color style of clothes were replaced by sweatpants and a pastel blue hoody. The usual straight hair was curled, and strands stood on end in random directions.
"Should I even ask?"
"Actually." Sigmar appeared from behind Sylvia. "You might want to. It involves you now."
Joseph, Sigmar, Sylvia, and Lydia sat in the living area. The fireplace glowed with a dull orange as the blackened wood burnt to its last flickers of life. Sigmar leaned back into the chair with careful and slow movement.
"We believe your life will be targeted, Joseph," Sigmar stated.
"By who?" Joseph tried to keep his face motionless.
"Well, by Elise Bertrand's secret army, and I now think the reason Sylvia is upset is one of its members."
"The fucker that turned me and Nathan has come back." Sylvia wiped at her eye.
"A werewolf called Miriodere. An actual alpha too." Sigmar said.
"So, what does this have to do with me?" Joseph replied
"Have you ever heard of The Devil Of The East Coast?"
Joseph could feel the stoic expression he put on fading away, his eyebrows betrayed his thoughts and raised, his mouth contorted to the side.
"Well, that face tells me you do." Sigmar pointed out.
"That is a name I left behind when I came here." Joseph clasped his hands together and leaned forward. His eyes were directed to the floor.
"You were The Devil of The East Coast?" Sigmar's eye's narrowed onto Joseph.
"Yeah, I used to hunt a lot around New York, Boston all the way down to Florida. Which by the way, fuck Florida."
"Well, Elise seems to think that the title belongs to a woman." Lydia finally joined the conversation.
Joseph stood up and made his way over to the drink's globe, underneath its sliding door a good selection of scotch's and bourbons. He grabbed one of the crystal glasses and poured some of the rich brown bourbon about two fingers high. A rich aftertaste of caramel just overshadowed the smoky aromas of vanilla.
"This is an Anson family secret. We started that rumor."
"What for?" Sigmar said.
"Well, we wanted to put fear into our prey, but also make them unaware that I was the true threat." Joseph was thinking quick on his feet.
He knew he had to lie, he had fallen into a trap laid by Sigmar, and now he had to escape it. If Sigmar knew he was involved, things would get complicated.
Lydia and Sigmar's eyes widened, and they looked at each other.
"What's going on?" Joseph could feel a slight tension in his throat.
"Another supernatural has been killed. Joseph, come with us." 
 The chlorine smell mixed in with the iron smell of the blood that had flowed down into the pool. On top of the guard tower, bare pale skin legs streaked with red became more visible the higher up the leg. Settled between the red lifeguard shorts, wide-eyed hollow sockets, and a smile held back by plastic clips, tongue cut and stapled in the shape of an L on his forehead, and a black mustache is drawn and curled in sharpie. The short black hair dripped blood, which pooled from the flat area on his neck.
"Well, that's graphic," Joseph said. 
The blood from the neck had begun to flow into the pool; its crisp blue waters began to have a red film across its surface. Lydia ran off to the side, her sides puffed out suddenly and a muffled groan echoed in the empty pool area. Darius walked across to them.
"Hey Ziggy, I sent Ali to" He glanced towards Joseph. "You know..What is he doing here?"
"He was with us when we got the alert," Sigmar replied. 
The two walked away and talked with hushed tones, they had obviously begun to suspect Joseph's involvement, but they couldn't pin this on him. He recognized this set up though, a certain vampire's M.O. 
'Drag me to death, like a lit cigarette.'
The lyrics blared through the pool's pa system, and the heavy bass thumps disturbed the pool surface. Everyone looked around till up on the second floor, a bright white suit caught everyone's attention in the room. A man slow-danced himself across the ledge he stood on. A solid gold Fawkes mask and a bright red bowler hat covered most of his features, but the locks of strawberry blonde hair tied in a ponytail revealed the man to Joseph. Dimitri Von Crue. 
"Who the hell are you?" Darius screamed. 
Joseph didn't know Darius that well, but his usual jovial expression hardened, the inside of his eyebrows formed a tight v that creased the bridge of his nose. If Joseph could guess, it's because his Nephilim senses couldn't sense Dimitri. Not with that shiny piece of protective jewelry. 
"Me? A ghost. A revenant to release the sinful from the world, and save the pure." Dimitri tipped his hat to them. 
"Well, I would love to see a ghost up close and personal." Sigmar reached his hand out, palm faced the ceiling, and beckoned Dimitri.
"Oh calm down there, you little demon slut." Dimitri clapped his hands. 
Joseph saw a confused look sweep across Sigmar's face. He looked at his arm and clenched his fist over and over. Darius dropped to one knee behind him, his breaths became ragged and inconsistent, and the tones of his face became pale. Joseph flicked on his hunter senses. The usual floating green flame surrounding his right side was not present, and the demonic half of Darius had become human in appearance, and only one wing hung from his back. 
"Demonic suppression?" Joseph realized that little runes had been written in blood in various parts of the room as he scanned the room. 
"Did you kill this person just to set this up?" Sigmar shouted. There was visible worry along his face. 
"No, of course not. I killed him because it's fun. Now I should really do my job." Dimitri chuckled. 
"What..job?" Darius said between labored breaths. 
"Eliminating the opposition, of course."

　　陈兆良出生在香港，中学毕业后到美国夏威夷大学读书，获电子工程师以及计算机科技专业硕士学位。
　　大学毕业后，他进入到硅谷工作，先后在多家高科技企业，例如SHM unclear、英特尔、Singer Link等公司担任工程师、工程经理、副总裁等职务。
　　陈兆良在硅谷从事的工作，有相当一部分经历都不很愉快。
　　例如，他曾经到在工业自动化、航空电子及通讯和电子商务等领域处于全球领先地位的罗克韦尔(Lockheed)公司应征，获得该公司的职位邀请，但过一段时间，Lockheed却告诉他，因为没有美国公民身份，所以不方便让他留在该公司研究美国的机密——月球岩石。
　　在告别Lockheed后，陈兆良又加入到一家极小型创业公司，只有两名员工，但陈兆良没有嫌弃，他百分之百地投入其中。
　　后来，这也成为他在硅谷最难忘，同时也最受益的一段经历。因为公司极小，所以没有一般大公司的条条框框，因此可以接触到比较宽泛的事务，进而学习到不少东西。
　　也因为有这段经历，陈兆良也经常说：在求职时不要看高大公司，更不要看轻小公司。最重要的是，要看你能做什么，学什么。
　　后来陈兆良还到英特尔公司工作过，但那里的工作环境因“不具独创精神”而不被他喜欢。在一段时间里，他的项目做得很好，是前10名(Top10)。但没多久，这个项目就被取消了，他又被评估为后10名(Bottom10)。这个经历加速了他要独立创业的想法。
　　他感慨道，“如果你为别人做事，不是不能掌握主动权，就是做得再好的项目，因为别人的一句话、一纸通知就能终止你或许满怀投入的事情。”
　　在硅谷打工期间，陈兆良还曾在SHM核子公司担任系统工程师，负责Treat-ment Planning System；在AED公司担任工程师，负责Graphic Systems；在英特尔的微电脑部门担任工程师，在MARCO公司担任工程部副总，负责CAD System。

　　ESS成立于费利蒙，在1992年以前主要从事电脑游戏硅片的研发，主要针对消费性市场和教育市场，核心业务是将声音磁片做进玩具、游戏、圣诞卡片或其他消费性产品之中。
　　进入上世纪90年代，电脑游戏硅片行业的竞争对手越来越多，与此同时，一个新市场——多媒体电脑市场也开始蓬勃发展。
　　凭借经营AC Design公司时积累的经验，陈兆良敏锐发现了多媒体影音的巨大发展前景，而且从中看到了已在声音科技方面有较好技术储备和基础的ESS可以扮演的角色。
　　他认为，如果能将声音科技与半导体晶片结合起来，将会为包括多媒体电脑等最新科技产品带来许多突破与应用，并因此提升整个多媒体产业的发展。于是，他带领ESS作出了一个改变集团和个人命运的重大决策：向半导体语音芯片进军。
　　当时，全世界还没有一块半导体电脑语音芯片，但陈兆良笃信自己的判断是正确的。因此，在他的带领下，规模很小的ESS科技开始尝试完成这个世界性突破。
　　1989年，ESS科技取得了转型以来的第一个重大突破——成功开发出第一款内置于玩具中的语音芯片。
　　1992年10月，陈兆良更是出任了ESS的董事长，加速公司在此业务领域的进展。1993年，他们开始向成功真正靠拢，推出第一批 PC Audio半导体产品ES488，一个12-bit的单声道音质硅片(Mono Audio)。
　　ES488是ESS科技开发出的第一款用在个人电脑里的半导体音频处理芯片。这款芯片同时也是世界上第一个用在家电及个人电脑的语音芯片，通过它，全世界所有的个人电脑都可以播放声音和音乐。
　　从这个意义上说，是它让多媒体电脑真正名副其实，进而长远影响了人类的现代科技生活和享受。
　　1994年上半年，ESS在前一个产品的基础上，又再推出其ES688产品——一个16-bit立体音质的单一晶片(Stereo Audio Semicon-ductor)。1994年第三季和1995年第一季，已经通过前两款产品打开市场之门的ESS又分别推出ES1488和ES1688两款新产品，这两款单一晶片的PC Audio Solutions超越以往产品的突出特征是，整合了ESFM Synthesis，整体功效更为突出。
　　“凭借在数码音频和视频领域的成功，陈兆良在业界的声誉很大。上个星期他带着一批技术团队来到了香江，正在考察VCD领域。”说到这里，吴景秀有些兴奋地说：
　　“林总，这对我们是一个大机会。即是可以摆脱解码芯片制肘的机会，也可以提高我们公司核心技术的机会。”
　　“哦，怎么回事？你仔细给我说说。”这个时候林义突然有些后悔以前怎么不好好了解这家公司这个人了。
　　“他们来到香江，主要是是和那边的政府以及企业家寻求帮助与合作，希望打通内地的关系，在香江、京城、沪市、深城开设研发、服务、及培训中心。这可是一个大的机遇。”
　　吴景秀在那边说的很激动，林义在这边听得也很激动。
　　“你说的消息可靠吗？”此时的林义面色潮红，呼吸都有点急促，作为摸爬打滚几十年了的人，怎么不知道这里面蕴藏着的大机遇。
　　要是达成合作，最好的期待就是步步高电子可以一步登天，几年内拥有自己成百上千的优秀工程师。
　　就算再不济，也可以让步步高电子在技能上和视野里得到拓展。
　　怎么算都是千载难逢的机会。
　　“林总，”吴景秀听到林义在电话那头终于不再平静了，也是笑了起来，然后温吞地说：“这消息肯定可靠，我前天还在香江见了Mr.CHan。”
　　“你见过他了？”林义有些诧异，这事情他竟然不知道。
