You've probably heard it before. ATS's webnovel continues to be on hiatus, but as of some months ago, WN/RR postings were suspended. And here's why.
-First, let's talk about how ATS first operated, before the Brand became a thing. It technically made its debut on Webnovel, then a day or two later, Royalroad. Not much for an audience, hardly any comments or reactions. But the posts continued to come. I'd amp it up to 3-5 chapters a day. 
One day I decided on a whim to split these into volumes. Do light novel format.  I did my search on word count. Saw that they were typically 20-50k words. I set mine for 60k per book.
I only published it on a whim, just to give it a home and alternate place of publishing. Also helped proved the series was mine by doing it early. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made.
-flash forward, ATS continued to grow, but REALLY did when it the Amazon scene. It was becoming a small brand and cut out its very tiny corner on the vast LitRPG map.
--At first, I intended to keep the business model of free optional buy going (which by the way is completely stupid for the long term). I eventually turned this into a full-time career.
I began to see more posts (not too too many and not just me) about ATS's availability on RR/WN. Free reading. This was fine with me since I intentionally put it that way. Surely everything would continue going as normal. 
Then sales dramatically dropped by 60%.  Holy shit. The KU reads were always high and KU itself being a ticking time bomb or a rug ready to be pulled from beneath my feet, I found myself in a pickle.
---1 pickle:  Amazon's bot. Multiple flaggings every time I published. It's nothing short of a miracle that Amazon hadn't punched me in the dick just for existing. But when you're making them money, they treat you okay. Until you inconvenience them haha.
---2nd pickle: People taking my work and posting them on other websites without my permission. Illegally translating it and CHARGING MONEY for the translations. This is wrong for everybody, not just me. Media, other authors, etc. I didn't even care about this at first, it's fucking normal. I got over it. But for the love of god, don't charge people. It was free.
3rd pickle: The Brand, the LLC, and me as an independent creator has grown. Since I'm in charge of everything pertaining to ATS, forcing myself to continue the same business model I did a year ago as a naïve, unknown urban fantasy writer turned light novel author, wouldn't work.
I've been talking and debating with people for a long coming, before deciding to pull the web novel plug. The ******* is there to continue posting chapters, but as you can see with the low number of Patreons, it does not factor into the reason of pulling the plug. Every drop of *******'s funds goes back into ATS.
Ultimately, RR/WN are best for strictly web novel writers with giant active followings such as Wandering Inn, Mother of Learning, etc etc. 
At the time: ATS only recently achieve its 50th rating, its rankings weren't great and really, like 5 or 6 of the 1100 followers of RR were ever active. RR converted into basic 0% reviews in which could've helped it struggle better against Amazon's algorithm.
WN wasn't much better, with very few commenters, few reviews to keep it "free," nothing. A dead web novel basically. [Although today, we look at the 3 million views and wonder, wow.]
The lack of interaction made it absolutely pointless for me to keep risking my livelihood with Amazon's bot. 
 
This message isn't an excuse. It is simply explaining what led up to the removal. 
You could say By the Order of Amazon, ATS must be removed (to the allowed 10%) or face expulsion from the KDP and its Kindle Unlimited program.
 
I appreciate your understanding. I figured lack of engagement from the audience, lack of reviews on the platform that mattered (amazon), multiple KDP bot flaggings could eventually lead to this point.
But it's better to remove than to lose my career.

Adding more to this, 28th of July 2020, which is months (maybe almost a year later), I still get people every now and then entering the discord.
They hadn't a clue a discord existed or that the work was still going. They don't know about the manga in progress, the new manga artist replacement, the platforms, how far the series has gotten, and who's got the rings and babies.

Today was supposed to be a normal day. I woke up early in morning, do some yoga, take bath and go to my business firm. 

I am usually a very lazy person my Daily routine is to wake up,do yoga ,fresh up, cook breakfast if has time otherwise drink some Milk with biscuits and to work. After work read novel or listen audiobooks and go to sleep. Because I read lots of book since I was a child my logical thinking grow to a very high level. My family dyed when I was young so I stop going to school and take over my family's clothing business in Gujarat. I think that's why this is happening to me, when I was driving to home a truck 🚚 crash my car. This was not a accident I can tell . I take same route every day so someone near to me can leak this information. I think my business competitors buy that information to Plot against me, well I am not angry ,I donate  my crors(indian currency which Is equal to 10 million) of property in my will, so if I die my property and business will go to my family and if I don't have family it will go to orphanage . Meanwhile, after half a day of travel, Ye Lingchen had finally arrived at Hill Spring Residences.
Before he could make it out of the lake, he could hear the sounds of hurried footsteps along with passionate howling.

"Get out of here Daddy. I'll block him off for you."

Ye Lingchen laughed, then ignored them. He merely told them to avoid outsiders and went back into the villa.
Having stayed in the water for so long, Ye Lingchen first took a shower, then went back to his room to prepare for a good rest. He had planned to take a holiday for himself and comfortably enjoy it without care.
Like most people, Ye Lingchen's entertainment was his phone.
He laid in bed with his phone out. Ye Lingchen first went into TikTok to check if there were any interesting short clips.
However, after browsing through over twenty short clips, he became bored.
Out of the twenty-plus short clips, more than half of it was about him. There was footage of Old Tortoise, the giant python, and the best husband nomination list. He was, naturally, placed first. Most of it were closeups of his handsome features, acquiring countless praises and comments.
What was left were mostly short clips of beautiful ladies. He must admit that TikTok had many beautiful ladies, but what sort of person was Ye Lingchen? He had plenty of pretty women by his side and owed a buttload of love debt. He was naturally uninterested in those beautiful ladies.
Browsing TikTok was out of the question. Ye Lingchen quickly logged off and got onto Weibo.
However, six out of the top 10 hot search list were about him. Weibo's posts were mostly about him as well. Following that, he looked at the news headline and it was also mostly news about him.
'Sigh. I guess I'll read some novels?'
The top book was his own Celestial Bane. The trending ones all copied tropes from his novel. As for audiobooks, they were completely dominated by his Candle Blowing Ghost, Grave Robber's Chronicles, and Study of the Three Kingdoms.

Tripp was standing still, breathing heavily....
I can see!!!
Being in utter darkness, he just thought he was still blind, but there was a light shining right in front of him right now. 
"Haha, now I know I'm definitely dead' he said, laughing nervously at his situation.
If he was dead and this was a new world, he was happy, but he couldn't help and feel sad at his unavenged death.
He remembered lying there in the cold basement where his own parents had left him. He remembered how his sister would bring her friends down there to see the "freak" they hid in the basement. They would come in and have a look at the starved blind cripple or hide around the room before throwing things at him. 
One particular birthday, his sister came with her friends, and this time she brought some extremely extravagant food. He remembered how fragrant the food was, and he was drooling.. then she put the food in the hallway furthers away from his room and told him to crawl. 
He made his way until he could feel the heat coming from the plate, and when he was soo close to finally tasting the food, she and her friends laughed as they took the food away and went to feed it to the pets.
slapping his cheeks hard, he snapped himself out of his memories
"It doesn't matter anymore. None of that matters; I just need to keep going and live free from any restraints." he smiled as he started at the source of the light.
"Not sure if I should follow it? Nothing good ever comes out of following the random light, at least not in any of the audiobooks I listened to, but on the other hand, what choice do I have? I can't remain in this darkness forever." steeling his nerves, he slowly walked up to it.
It was a thin gold thread that was part of the flooring, shining brightly in the darkness.
He followed the gold thread for a while before it multiplied, and there were two more, and soon, it increased again. This time it wasn't only on the floor but on the high ceiling.
"This better be leading me out of here or to where I meet a crowd standing waiting to receive their new powers", laughing excitedly as he started jogging. 
The darkness seemed to be slowly defusing as the golden threads continued to multiply; soon, the golden threads had taken over, and very few dark purple ones could be seen on the floor.
He kept following the bright threads excitedly as this was the only change in this eternal darkness that he had been in for months.
He was no longer in the open space but was now in a long hallway covered top to bottom with gold and purple threads.
As he turned back, all he could see was the darkness he had left further back. It now looked like a giant purple dome. 
"Was that where I was?"
"had I walked that far."
It wasn't black but purple? Or purple to black,
"No time to waste, can't be late, or I will end up with the worst abilities. Let's see where this goes," he said as he turned forward and kept walking...

The purple threads remained intertwined with the gold when gradually, a light blue one was introduced to the now bright gold floor.
"A third thread," he said as he crouched to get a better look
"It looks exactly like the first one, except for the colour."
The blue thread pulsed the same way as the others.
"Not sure what all this means, but it's better than running around in the  darkroom." 
The hallways kept going, and the further he went, the brighter the threads got, and they even pulsed more.
At the end of the hallway, a door appeared. Tripp had finally reached the end of the beginning of his new life, or so he thought.
"Yes!!!" Tripp shouted out excitedly.
"The door to my new world!! I couldn't care about what ability I get or what world I get sent to, as long as my body works and I can enjoy my freedom!!"
Tripp was breathing heavily. After living the life he had, anything would be better. He wouldn't mind being poor, and he wouldn't even mind doing hard labour. He just wanted his freedom more than anything.
He picked up his pace as his eyes were now fixed on the door in front of him. He hadn't noticed that the threads started changing colour, slowly going darker and darker.
He was now almost halfway through the hallway when his senses told him something wasn't right.
Tripp looked down, only to find the threads were moving towards a particular spot.
He followed the colourful threads with his eyes, only to see something rise from the spot they had all converged.
The different colour threads seemed to intertwine as they raised from the ground, going higher and higher until they slowly started forming a shape.

"What the hell is going on now?" he said in shock. 
The shape was slowly turning into the form of a person.
The person was purple, entirely purple, With long hair that touched the ground. 
Tripp froze.....
The purple person was facing the other way, so all he could see was his back. 
"I should probably run away, but if I go back towards the darkness, I will probably die." he thought to himself.
"Maybe this is a test. If I can get past him and get through the door, I will be safe?" 
Before he could make a decision, the purple person turned and looked at him. 
Tripp's jaw dropped 
The person staring at him had purple eyes that shown with bright gold, blue and silver colours. It looked like he had a galaxy in his eyes.
The purple person started sauntering towards him.
Tripp tried taking a step backwards, but he couldn't. He looked down only to realise his feet were covered with the purple threads, and they were snaking their way up his legs.
"Shit!! I need to get out of this; I cannot fail here."
Tripp looked up only to see the shinney purple eyes less than 10 inches away from his face. The purple person stood right in front of him, looking at him with a weird twisted smile.
Tripp threw a punch without thinking, but his hand struck something mid-air. A purple outline of an arm seemed to come into existence. He was shocked and looked back at the person in front of him who was still laughing. Soon three more arms seemed to appear behind him.
"F**k!! What is this?"
"8 arms? is this person human?"
The figure grabbed onto him with all arms, as the threads were now coming from the eight hands and wrapping up his face and mouth.
"Mmmmm"
"Mmmmmm" Tripp tried his best shouting, but his face was now completely wrapped with purple threads, making him look like a neon mummy on Halloween and the only sound he could make came out muffled.
The weird threads seemed to increase in speed as they covered his entire body.
"Is this it?"
"Have I failed? Am I going to be reincarnated as a spider, a snail...
his thoughts were running wild while he lay still in his purple cacoon.
Time went by slowly, and his energy was gradually being depleted as he found himself falling asleep.
Tripp woke up to find himself in the familiar darkness, but this time it was different. There was a statue of the same person he had met earlier.
It was dark, but he could see it clearly as eight balls of light inlaid in the statue were shining brightly, covering it with different hues of light.
"This is getting super weird?"
"Who was that? and where the hell am I now?"
"Am I dead, and this is Limbo? were the gods give me new powers and sent me off on an adventure as they did in the audiobooks I used to listen to?"
He didn't bother thinking too much and slowly walked up to the shining statue.
The person stood with six arms coming out from his back, each holding a sphere of light. The topmost arm on the right was holding a globe that had a fire burning brightly in it.
The hand on the left had one that had a storm of lightning.
His standard two arms were held up to his chest open flat, holding two different orbs. The right arm held a shining purple sphere, and it looked like it had a whole galaxy circling in it.
"Do these spheres of light have something to do with the threads I saw earlier?"

With nothing else left to do, he decided to take the risk. 
"Guess there is no Otherworldly guide here."
He stretched out his arm to touch the purple sphere when his vision turned white, and he felt himself falling.

After I woke up I asked Nicole for how long I was asleep, she told me she never realized I was asleep. It was mean, because does that mean that I look so ugly everyday. I thought I looked cute or just like a normal human being. It's sad really. But the good thing is that it seems our teacher didn't notice, she probably thought I was just lying on my desk. 
"did you do the reading" she asks out of nowhere. 
"wait what, we had reading to do?!" om shocked I think I forgot about it completely. 
"oh my gosh I can't believe you forgot about it, she'll kill you if you can't answer the questions." she laughs a little as she pats my shoulders as if I were crying. 
"shit, and that's the thing I'm already failing those quizzes. Like at least with those quizzes I read some of it." I say sighing, I never really read any of the books she assigned. I would either read a summary of the chapter online or do nothing. 
"go listen to the audio book, I mean we have a period before class." she says, as she pulls out her headphones to hand me one. I receive before popping it in my ear. 
"Do you have, audible or are you going to use YouTube?"
"YouTube, I don't really use audiobooks that often so YouTube is enough. Listen to it during class." she says standing up from the stairs. 
"thanks Dana." I thank her as I follow her out the stairway and into the hall. I'm glad she reminded me of the book if not I would have forgotten about the test and reading.

The next week or so I fall into a routine where I spend most of my time reading the horrible braille books and listening to audio books. It's ok but I miss reading actual books and doing something other than tracing over dots in books and listening to audiobooks. Most of them are shit apart from Harry Potter and I hate it, not Harry Potter but reading books like this. But it's the only thing I can do apart from listening to the tv with the audio description on. I only leave my room at the moment for dinners where Loki joins me and we chat but it's not for long. He doesn't like to talk too much about his past and I feel too low to talk about mine.
Honestly, I just want to end it all. I want to die and end my suffering. I see no point in living when I can't have a career or enjoy anything that I used to do. I can't have a career as I can't write or experiment in labs like I used to do. Listening to audio books are shit as the voices put you to sleep and I can't read properly. Instead I get these horrible braille books which are weird to read and it ruins the whole point of reading. And I can't see a thing unless I use my freaky magical abilities but all I can see is white lines which shows barely an outline. Plus I cannot use my abilities since I don't know how to use them, just control to a certain extent and I hate them. They have made me a blind freak and I just want to die. I don't care how strong my magic is. I am still blind and weak and I have no idea how to use my powers.
It's another day and I've official had enough with living. I've decided to go to the swimming pool so I can decide whether today is the day or whether I should just mess with my freak abilities. I am tempted to do both so I am. I have already began manipulating the water so it makes the water solid so I can walk across it without sinking or falling into the water.
Taking a breath, I move across the water using my magic to keep it solid before I sit down and pull out the razor I brought with me. If I just let go of my powers right now, I will fall into the water and I could let myself drown. Or I could cut my wrists and then fall, either way I could die and end my suffering. Just die and end my pathetic existence. I hate being blind, I hate my non-existent future and I hate these powers that I don't even know how to use properly. Would anyone care if I let go?
I look at the outline of the blade in my hand and I bring it over my wrist, feeling the temptation and I want to die so badly. I want my suffering to end, no more pain. I can't stand being alive if I have to live like this with nothing to live for and no reason to carry on. I'm weak and blind and pathetic.
I'm about to cut my wrist when a voice speaks up, nearly breaking my concentration, "What the hell are you doing?!!"
Instantly I look up in the direction of the door and I can see the outline of Loki standing there. I'm surprised he is here as he normally spends most of the day in his room but I guess he felt my magic and was curious? But now he has seen me about to kill myself and I have no idea what to say.
I drop the blade, razor landing on the water beside me, "Loki I…" I stop speaking, not sure what to say.
"You have magic?" He asks as he moves closer to the pool, closer to me.
"It's a horrid side effect of the accident, it gave me this… magic. I can control elements, speak telepathically, move things telekinetic and probably more. I can't really use it well." I find myself looking at the razor, knowing where the blade is on it, "Made me a freak. A blind freak."
"Katrina…"
I look at him, "What are you doing here Loki? You never leave your room."
He reaches the edge of the pool, "I could hear your mind screaming out and feel your magic and frankly I was worried. And then I come in here to find you… find you like this... please tell me you weren't going to kill yourself?"
I find myself grabbing the razor, "I was going to…" I put the razor over my wrist, "And frankly I still want to."
"Please don't." Loki begs, surprising me.
I give him a look, "Why not? I want to die. I want to die so badly. I honestly wished I died in that accident as living like this is driving me mad and… now I am just a blind freak."
"You are not a freak to me." He tells me, "You are the kindest and strongest woman I know. I know you are in pain but please don't do this. You are my best friend and I care about you. Your magic isn't something to hate. Please don't do this."
My hand is shaking, "You care about me?"
"You're the only person here I can tolerate." He says, which makes us both chuckle, "Off course I care about you so please don't do this. Please Katrina. I don't want you to die."
I feel the temptation and I want to but I can't get what Loki said out of my mind. He cares about me, he does and he thinks so much of me. He really is the god of mischief with a silver tongue. He's making me want to lower the razor but I keep thinking about those horrible powers and my blindness.
He speaks again, "Katrina if it's your magic you are worried about, I can teach you how to use it and even how to defend yourself. Blind or not, I can show you your life is worth living. Please Katrina don't do this. I will even run across this water to stop you if I must. Just don't do this, please."
There are tears in my eyes as I give in, throwing away the razor and I hear Loki sign in relief. I let the tears roll down my cheeks as I try to calm down, taking deep breaths but I feel like I could break down any moment. But I don't want to lose concentration and fall into the water.
I take a breath, "You really do have a silver tongue."
This makes him chuckle, "I will take that as a compliment." I smile at that, "Come here Katrina. I will risk getting wet to come and get you."
I nod before carefully getting to my feet, making sure I keep my concentration on the water as I go over to him. The moment I reach him, I stop using my magic and the water relaxes. There are tears in my eyes and I am standing right in front of him.
"Come here." He says and I feel his arms around me.
Giving in, I move closer to him and he hugs me, holding me tightly. I bury my head in his chest and I break down in his arms, Loki comforting me. Him whispering soothing words to reassure me that everything will all be ok and I didn't know Loki had this side to him. So comforting and warm. He makes me feel better about myself and I want to believe that life can get better. I want to. Maybe if I did learn about my magic and he taught me how to use it, I might feel better about myself.
I've finally stopped crying but he hasn't let me go. Just let me rest in his arms on the floor beside the pool and hold me as I calm down.
"Have you told your brother how you feel?"
I shake my head, "I couldn't. He blamed himself for the accident and he has done everything possible to make my life better. Given me everything to make my life easier and I honestly would have rather died in that accident then be alive. I can't have a career, I can't enjoy my hobbies and I can't see anything which is driving me mad….. sorry, sorry. I don't mean to… I didn't want you to see me like that."
He shakes his head, "Don't apologise, just don't. I don't know how bad your accident was but you lost your sight. It takes time to get over something so traumatic… I would know, I have been there in a way. But you are not a freak for being blind or for having magic. Your natural magic is powerful and isn't something you should hate."
"Natural magic?"
"Yeah I sense your magic coming from your soul. I expect you just unlocked your magical power during your accident instead of learning naturally like I did." He tells me, "You already had your magic, you just didn't know."
This catches me off guard and I think for second, not quite believing it. I already had magical powers and I never knew. The accident just unlocked them and I have hated them so much for having them because of it and yet I already had them. Just didn't know.
I nod, not quite believing it, "I already had magic…"
He rubs my back, "Your magic is a part of you and like I said, I will gladly help you learn how to use it."
I look at him surprised, "You want to teach me?"
He shrugs, "Well since I am stuck here, I may as well do something useful and magic is one thing that I am good at. You're my friend and I care about you. So let me help you with your magic? As your magic is a gift and I want to show you how amazing it can be."
This makes me smile, "Yeah I would like that… thank you Loki, for stopping me and for comforting me."
He holds me tighter, "I just didn't want my new best friend to die."
"Still, thanks."
"You're welcome." He whispers, "I am glad I could help."
We spend the rest of the day together with Loki helping me connect with my magic and for the first time since my accident, I haven't hated my powers. If anything I enjoyed it and I felt myself embracing this side of me which I rather like. I'm glad Loki turned up when he did otherwise I think I would have killed myself and I would have regretted it. He is right, I have people who care about me and my magic shouldn't be hated or feared anymore. Its apart of me, a part of me.
After a few hours, Loki helps me make dinner so I don't have to use Jarvis and I just tell him what to do and how. He doesn't seem to mind and after the lasagne is cooked, we eat together on the sofa for a change and it's nice. I feel a bit better now that I can connect with my magic and that I know I am not alone, everything feels a bit easier. I can do this. I can do this.
"You seem more relaxed." Loki says as we finish dinner, "Your mind isn't screaming out."
I shrug, "I don't feel like a freak anymore even with the blindness."
"You never were a freak." He tells me, "You will be ok and I will show you how to use your magic and all the things you can do. Your life will get better."
I force a smile, "I hope so."
Then he asks, "What else did you do? Your job? Your hobbies? Is there really none of it that you can do?"
"Not really. I used to work in a lab studying all the sciences of the world so can't do that but I loved writing as well. Wrote too many books but can't really do that either. Most I can do is read but the braille books are horrible and I ran out of audiobooks." I tell him, "I guess I will find something to do."
"Braille books?" He asks, sounding confused.
I nod, "Yeah they are books for blind people. You basically feel the letters so you know the words but it takes forever and the books are not the best."
He shakes his head, or I think he does, "Those are not books. No books that I have heard off and I love books. What is your favourite book? Out of all the ones you have read?"
"Mmm I love Shakespeare's books like Hamlet, Coriolanus, Macbeth or anything by Arthur Conan Doyle, sherlock ones are amazing especially Study in Scarlett and Return of Sherlock Holmes. Not to forget Harry Potter books are legendary." I say, going on and on, "There are so many books, I could go on forever."
This makes him chuckle, "You love books like I do…" I see his hand move and I think he has summonsed something but I can't tell with the lines, "Study in Scarlett, fascinating, detective novel. Let me read it to you."
I look at him surprised, "Loki you don't have to."
"I insist." He states, "There is no way you are missing out on your favourite stories."
With that I give in and move closer to Loki so I'm shoulder to shoulder with him and listen to him as he begins reading. It's quite soothing listening to his voice and hearing him tell one of my favourite stories. I end up resting my head on his shoulder as he keeps reading and I'm so relaxed. It's lovely and yet the hours have ticked by and I'm tired. It's extremely late but I don't want to stop listening and Loki is being so nice to me. So charming and I don't want to move.
He hears me yawn and stops, "We will continue tomorrow. You need to rest."
I nod, sitting up properly, "Thank you Loki, you really didn't have to do that for me but listening to you was very soothing."
"I'm pleased to hear it, you seemed to relax." He says, sounding pleased, "Do you need help to your room?"
I shake my head as we stand up, "No I'm ok, thanks though and thanks for today."
"You're most welcome Katrina."
He kisses my hand, making me giggle before I leave him be and go into my room. I shut the door and change before collapsing into bed. Falling into a deep sleep where I am greeted by pleasant dreams and I feel at peace. Feel at peace for the first time in 3 years.

Malachi moves into one of the chairs in front of Lucious's desk to face the Paladin of light.
"You know for someone whose name means light, you sure know how the handle darkness." Malachi comments on the aura that even he could feel from Lucious when he kicked the two old Cardinals out of the room.
"If everyone held true to their name you'd just be a messenger, though no doubt you already are one." Lucious raises the pitch of his voice, no longing domineering instead friendly and happy.
"What's with the undertone...." Malachi scoffs, "Out with it then."
"Out with what?" Lucious faines ignorance.
"Your question"
"Hmph, fine. Have you heard anything from Gabriel, or seen the signs that I've seen." Lucious's face turns to wonder of concern and worry.
"The dreams from the Angel Gabriel have been... confusing, to say the least. I can't tell if they're something to do with my prophetic powers or something Gabriel wants to show me" Malachi answers the first part of Lucious's question.
"The prophetic powers are Gabriel's angelic blessing right?"
"Yes"
"Then what's the difference between something Gabriel wants to show you vs. his blessing?"
"Normally what Gabriel wants to show me is something that's already happened or is currently happening, he leaves clues for me to figure something out. The prophetic dreams are a whole host of different things. Sometimes it's the future but in a really distinct way, like when "that incident" happened I had a dream. It was a shadow of a wolf being consumed, later it was a warning against what happened to Shadow during that incident. Also sometimes Gabriel will show me something and then talk to me briefly afterward."
Lucious takes in the information, silence fills the room before Lucious speaks quietly.
"What about the other half of my question?" Lucious spaces off into to space listening and thinking about Malachi's next words.
"Signs of a Holy War, wasn't my birth one of them?" Malachi laughs slightly at his fate before continuing. "Four different high-level demons killed by me, gates being broken open between the realms, faith being lost, mass shootings, natural disasters, broken mirrors, black cats, visits from my Grandfather, Mother, Father, and blessings and warnings from all of the archangels. The same words follow me as I'm chased out of my dreams. Prepare, do not let God's creation fall into the wrong hands." The silence overwhelms the room.
"When?" Lucious's one word comes out weak and filled with sadness.
"I don't... know, I can only guess I don't think it will be anytime soon." Malachi voices his suspicion.
"If you're going to have any hope of controlling the Cardinals to prepare properly then this is all the more reason you need to be introduced to them." Lucious brings up what the First and Second Cardinal wanted.
"I'm sixteen, I won't gain any respect. Not to mention I'm blind... and Deaf, do you think any of them are going to think I'm capable. Everything here is run off a vote. The only reason they can't vote me out of power is because of God's message, but they can take power away from me when they find out who I am." Malachi expresses his worries to Lucious.
"They did the exact same thing when I took power, and shouldn't they believe in God, I mean considering all the saints, angels, and martyrs."
"They're meant to serve the disabled, you know the scripture just as well as I do Lucious. Saints are meant to be capable there has never been one who's completely blind yet can see. Not to mention all of them will be against me owning Shadow."
"Shadow being a hellhound can be hidden" Lucious tries to reason with Malachi.
"No... it can't all of them are too powerful, not to mention the first and second Cardinals hate me, they would reveal it almost immediately and you won't let me kill them."
"They didn't take part in that "situation" Malachi"
"You know they damn well did Lucious." Malachi's temper starts to come out he slams his hand on the desk standing up.
"There is no need to-" Lucious gets cut off,
"Yes, there is... you weren't there. I was, went Shadow my familiar, my friend, my eyes, and ears, was lying half-dead when the former light Paladin strapped me down and put both demonic and angelic chains on me, canceling out my power, leaving me as just a human. If it weren't for my training I would have died that day. Thank God that even with two of my sense taken I can still be powerful."
Lucious stares in silence at Malachi's words.
"I didn't... I didn't know. I'm sorry," Lucious's words come out as no more than a whisper.
"Forget about it, I'm the one who's supposed to deal with the darkness of the church, not you." Malachi sits back down, his hate simmering down back into his heart.
"One more thing... You can control both demonic and divine power right?" Lucious's words come out quickly and as no more than a squeak as to not anger Malachi.
"My Grandfather is the Fallen Angel Lucifer. My mother is his daughter. My father is Archangel Raphael. What do you think?" Malachi smiles with sarcasm in his voice.
"Ohh... I guess I should ask how does it work?" Lucious's words become more confident, now seeing that Malachi won't lash out because of mentioning his parents.
"It's... a balance. You have to be careful not to let one side take over the other because I have the perfect split of divine and demonic power. It creates a sort of magic or superpower."
"Magic, superpowers?" Lucious's head tilts in confusion.
"I know... I know, there is no such thing as magic or superpowers, right?" Malachi smiles, "Due to the fact that I've received, not only the blessing of God but Angels blessings from all of the archangels and many regular angels, not to mention the fact that I'm the son of a princess of the underworld but also an archangel, gives me certain qualities. It makes sense to call it magic or superpowers because I can control the elements, I can heal, I can perform spells in the forms of rituals with Latin and circles. I may not be able to read, but I've always been told stories of witches and warlocks, not to mention audiobooks are my friend. That's why I'm the only magic-user/superpowered person in this world."
Lucious looks at Malachi incredulously.

There's a man, his cold aura and indifference the first thing you notice. Look a little closer and he just might grab your attention. He may not be able to see, but you can be damn sure you want him on your side in a fight, especially against the demons of this world.


Rhea, mother of gods, and Titan of Motherhood knew this would happen.

These beings would not be like her, nor would they be like their father. With each child's power, with Kronos's fear and his never-ending hunger for power, her children would not last long.

She knew this, but when he took her fifth child from her, it hurt all the same.

Hestia was born into a hostile environment, but home cannot be quenched that easily. 

She made herself, deep within her father's stomach, built herself from the ground up and created a safe space for her siblings when they arrived.

The hearth and home protects; and its goddess will too.

Hera was born next, and when she landed she had someone to care for her. Hestia raised her younger sister, ensured that she did not die in the depths of their father's stomach.

She did not make herself – Hestia made her, and the two goddesses vowed together that they would protect their siblings from all harm.

Demeter was third and a fussy child. Kronos ate only meat and ambrosia, so they had only meat and ambrosia to eat themselves and to feed the child. She was revolted by meat, but her sisters did the best they could for her.

Hades was fourth to be born to Rhea, the first boy, and the second to last child to be swallowed (although neither he nor his siblings would know that). He was a quiet child, content with both his surroundings and his family, less prone to violence than Hera or Demeter.

They all lived together in Kronos's stomach despondently and longing for freedom.

It is truly dark within his mouth.

There is no way for any light at all to enter once he swallowed me whole, so there was nothing for my eyes to adjust too.

Other than the darkness, the other things that bother me is the wet squishiness of his esophagus and the horrible, rancid smell.

But, other than those disturbing things, after calming down a bit, I am grateful for the time to think.

It feels like once he swallowed me, either I shrank or he grew because going down his esophagus is taking way longer that it normally should, but that makes sense I guess, considering how Athena could fit in Zeus's head.

I start thinking about how I ended up here and come to the conclusion that I died and was reincarnated, there is no way that I am still in the same world as I was before.

I don't know wether or not I am in the Percy Jackson universe or just plain Greek mythology, but that doesn't really matter. What I really want to know is which god I am.

I already know that I am a boy and there are only two sons of Kronos, that actual live in Kronos's stomach so that means that I am either Poseidon or Hades.

I can't help but grow excited and start babbling when I think of possibly being Poseidon. I think and hope that is who I am, but I am not one hundred percent sure because I was extremely disoriented when I first woke up in this new body.

"Shouldn't I have already reached his stomach by now?", I question in my head.

I try twisting around to face the part of his esophagus going down, but then I realize that there would be no point if I turned around because I would not be able to see anything anyway.

"Ahhh...I guess I'll just wait...wish I had one of my audiobooks though", I think while feeling kinda disappointed and bored.

And then I wait.

And wait...and wait.....and wait...and...wait.

Time passes by so slowly while going down Kronos's esophagus that I start thinking that he purposefully slowed down time in his body just to make it more torture for his children.

I wait for what feels like years while slowly moving through his wet, rancid smelling, pitch black esophagus.

I honestly start thinking that what I saw before was an illusion or dream and I actually entered a coma and am still in that hospital room being fed by a tube.

But the occasional chunks of meat and what I think is ambrosia pelt me during my consciousness and during my sleep keep me believing.

I have to force myself to eat some of the chunks that fall on me to satiate my hunger, but those chunks are always so awful and vile that I end up throwing up around half of it every time.

I can't help, but smile though whenever I think, "Hey, this dude is eating my throw-up and the occasional sh*t isn't he?"

And apparently god can decide whether they want to poop or not.

But I can't help but wonder what is keeping me from going insane due to the isolation, darkness, and living conditions. After pondering for a while I think that it is because my body is no longer human. Gods live forever and anyone could go mad from that alone, so their brains and minds must be built differently from humans so that they can stay sane.

After doing my daily dose of thinking, the waiting continues and my body grows and changes. 

And I wait.

*Plop*

"Finally!!!", I scream out in Ancient Greek, but then my screams of joy turn into screams of anguish as I bathe in the stomach acid of the king of Titans.
