"It's cold here. You'll feel it soon."
 Yan Qingsi raised her head. "You're not cold?" she asked.
 "I'm cold. So you have to hug me later," Yue Tingfeng answered certainly.
 'All right!' Yan Qingsi thought. 
 The lights in the hall dimmed. The screen lit up. Yan Qingsi could not help but laugh when she saw what was being projected on the screen.
 She did not know what Yue Tingfeng bought, and… It was not a foreign sci-fi flick, it was not literature, not art nor romance, but it was an animated movie. An animated movie for children.
 No wonder the scatter of people before them were all parents with their children.
 Yan Qingsi wanted to laugh, but she did not want to disturb others. She clutched onto her stomach, laughing till tears leaked from eyes and her shoulders shook.
 Yue Tingfeng wrapped his arms around her, nipping her ear with his teeth. "Give it a chance. I've carefully chosen this. It suits you."
 Yan Qingsi pinched Yue Tingfeng. "It suits you!"
 Yue Tingfeng pecked her cheek with lightning speed. "That's right. I like it. So I want you to like it too."
 They did not need to see other people's hate and love. Yue Tingfeng just wanted to seize this brief moment, this rare break in their routine to experience how lovers should pass the time.
 For instance, dates, having meals together, going to the cinema…
 Animated movies for children were childish, but they preached goodness and kindness. Yan Qingsi thought that it was funny in the beginning. Later, she leaned against Yue Tingfeng's shoulder, eating the popcorn he fed her, and she watched till the end.
 Throughout the process, the two had not spoken at all. They did not look at each other either, but Yue Tingfeng was always able to feed the popcorn into Yan Qingsi's mouth with uncanny precision.
 When the movie was about to end, Yan Qingsi whipped out her phone and took two pictures: the first was of the movie screen, the second was of hers and Yue Tingfeng's interlaced fingers. Yan Qingsi posted them on Weibo along with the caption: Is it a date?

 "The picture wasn't nice," he whispered in her ear. "Let me take it next time. If you don't take a picture of my face, you could at least make my hand look nice."
 Yan Qingsi rolled her eyes. "It's not my fault if your hands look ugly."
 "My hands are ugly? My hands are ugly? I have long and strong fingers. Otherwise, how could I hold…" Yue Tingfeng darted a glance at Yan Qingsi.
 Yan Qingsi smirked. "I haven't called you a b*stard in a long time, have I?" she said coolly.
 Yue Tingfeng nodded his head. "Yep… So call me a b*stard, since I want to be one for a while."
 "You…"
 Yan Qingsi wanted to call Yue Tingfeng a shameless attention wh*re, then she realized that a child was peering at them from the row of seats before them. Who knew whose child had run all the way here?
 Yue Tingfeng and Yan Qingsi looked at each other. He covertly snuck a look at the popcorn bucket and saw that there were some left. He reached an arm out.
 The little rascal took the popcorn and ran off.

Do you readers know that unlucky guy who always got things wrong in his life?? I'm worse.
Don't doubt me, 'cause i'll show you my life, starting back from 5 years ago, before i came to this shitty place some may call Earth.
No, not that Earth, sometimes i miss that one, like, popcorn, ice-cream, popcorn, coca-cola, popcorn, you get the order of importance right? Anyway, I mean the other. Which one? How the hell can i explain if i don't know how i came here in the first place.
I'm still waiting for the big answer i never got from my girlfriend. Yes, the big one.
I was on my knees, searching my pockets, reason that i didn't have time to run away from the truck (always the truck, i think they have a type of organization specialized in sending humans to different worlds. It's a super lucrative business, you can see them every novel).
The funny part? I didn't die, the truck sent me into an open gutter hole, that i do not fu****g know how was connected to a spacial crack.
So i transmigrated to another world. NO!
While i was suffering from a headache ( truck? gutter? spacial storm? you choose) i was hit by the aftermath of a collision between 2 little dots in the distance ( i'll remember you two, little dots) and sent back to the spacial crack.
Haha, nice, i'll be back to my world! If that shit worked like that i wouldn't be here, telling you my story.
When the headache got better i finally saw the inside of the spacial crack. Void? Chaos? A god giving free cheats? Nothing like that. It's like a scene from a movie, a real mess of movies. There were infinite world cracks, not organized like a book shelf, or at least organized like your bedroom, order in chaos you know? No, nothing like that, imagine an abstract art piece, with no blank parts, everything is filled with paint. Each tone of color is a world. Now, these colors are blending, moving, closing and opening, all at the same time, around you, to the point you do not know how you didn't end up inside one of them yet. Lucky?? Go read the title again. I just turned my head and saw two colors blending, and coming in my direction. 

Know that blank that happens when you get out cold?? No oxygen on your brain? I wished that so much. I just saw my body appear 5 feet away from me, well, at least the bottom half. And then comes the blank.
When i woke up i was one piece. Haha, i cried a little from happiness at the time. The most important part was at the bottom half after all. What happened after? Don't ask me, i'm still trying to understand why the hell there's a bunch of people in armor, with swords drawn, pointing at my direction, or, above?

"See a dragon, kill the dragon, see God, kill god, see Buddha, kill Buddha" Why the hell don't i get such a cool synopsis???  Dragon, God, Buddha, ever since i came to this world everything i tried to do ended up with a slap to my face.

The Sunshine Cinema, which was first established in 1909, used to be a Jewish circus. It always showed indie films and it was a harbor for independent movies. The white European-style building with the splendid yellow LEDs was a beautiful sight in New York at night.
They walked up to the ticket office and saw that the latest indie movies were on in all the theaters. America was tolerant of underground movies.
"Two for ‘Elephant’. Fourth or fifth row..."
"Six dollars each. Twelve dollars in total."
Considering the average resident income in New York, it was quite cheap.
They walked to Theater No. 2 with their tickets. Two people who were dressed like artists were complaining there. "Wow! It’s not in Theater No.1. Let’s just pray there’s less people."
Why? Why did the theater matter? Qin Guan and Cong Nianwei entered the theater with a sense of foreboding.
They admired the sense of art in cinemas. Unlike ordinary amphitheater cinemas though, the chairs there were placed along the same horizontal line. It was like a traditional Chinese Peking Opera theater or a mini drama hall.
Suddenly, the popcorn in Qin Guan's mouth started to taste bad. Cong Nianwei smiled though. "As long as a two-meter tall man is not sitting in front of us, this will not affect us. There are only 10 minutes left before the film begins and there are few people inside..."

Qin Guan sat down on his assigned seat helplessly. There were only 30 to 40 people sitting in the theater, which could hold about 400 people in total.
Qin Guan lost any hope that the movie would get any publicity.
The projector started working. Qin Guan made his debut on the screen. Lights and shadows were meeting in the dark hall. It was silent. Only the sound of people chewing popcorn could be heard occasionally.
When Qin Guan appeared on the screen though, a group of people on their right shouted in surprised low voices.
"That boy is so handsome! I was about to fall asleep, but he woke me up."
"Hey, John, isn’t that boy familiar?" They kept talking as the plot progressed.
"I remember now! He is from our college! I have seen his picture in the newspaper. I bought the product he was advertising!"
"What product?"
"The Armani perfume. Didn’t you see the advertisement?"
"The vampire? Oh my! Stop talking. I want to watch the film carefully."
The small group paused its conversation to watch Qin Guan's performance. Soon, they screamed out again loudly.
"Wow! What a nice figure!"
"Go on! Go on!"
"Ah! The camera turned away!"
This is an indie film, ladies, not a porn video. Okay?
Cong Nianwei was interested in the film at first, but then she was annoyed by the noise. How is such a film so popular?
She was right. The film ended suspensefully in 90 minutes. Fans of indie films had their own opinions. The lamps on the ceiling turned on one by one, indicating that the audience had to leave.
Qin Quan winked at Cong Nianwei and asked her proudly. "Your boyfriend is perfect, right?"
Before she could answer, someone shouted behind them. "Qin Guan!"
They looked back to see some American girls staring at them, holding Coca Cola and popcorn in their hands.
"It's him! Nina, Alice, come here!" Their screams attracted attention from the whole audience.
"What’s happening?"
"The protagonist! He came to watch the film! He’s really good!"
They fixed their eyes on Qin Guan, the only shining point in the theater.
What should I do?
If one encountered a dangerous beast in a wild field, they couldn’t turn around and run. They had to retreat slowly. The girls were human beings though, not beasts. They threw their popcorn away and rushed up to them. It was too late for Qin Guan to escape. Several hands started grabbing his shirt.
"Well done, Qin Guan!"
"We are Columbia students. Stop running!"
Qin Guan tried his best to get rid of their claws. He ran as fast as possible along the corridors between the seats with Cong Nianwei. In a few seconds, they were back in their car, leaving the sad fans behind, beating their chests in sorrow.

In fact, Qin Guan wanted to talk to the audience, but not to those vigorous girls. He got some feedback soon though, as one of his fans, a girl from Barnard, rushed back to college hurriedly.

The snack counter was indeed very crowded, but the buying and selling activities were carried out very quickly, it did not take long to reach Sun Tiantian turn.
When Sun Tiantian saw foods, her anger that caused by Shen Nianshen disappeared instantly. Her mood boosted, and she pointed to the popcorn box at the display, "I want these, two and also two cans of cola."

Because Sun Tiantian's hand was a little uncomfortable, Shen Nianshen helped her to carry two barrels of popcorn and two cans of cola. They stepped away from the snack counter.
After buying snacks, it was already 3:13, and the movie had already started.
"Let's go. The movie has started."  Sun Tiantian rushed into the studio, carelessly pulling Shen Nianshen's hand.
The movie had just begun, the studio was dark and filled with many people.
Fortunately, Sun Tiantian's position was in the back row; they could find it easily.
The two of them sat quietly, Shen Nianshen handed the two barrels of popcorn to Sun Tiantian.
Sun Tiantian whispered, "You don't want any?"
Shen Nianshen said yes.
Sun Tiantian smiled and whispered again, "This is very delicious, you know."
That girl said while starting to eat it, after eating some popcorn, she sent the one bite of popcorn to Shen Nianshen's lips, "Want to try?"
The soft white fingers suddenly beside his lips, Shen Nianshen took a deep breath and leaned his head against the back of the chair, "Don't be noisy."
Sun Tiantian's voice was very soft, "Try a bit."
Shen Nianshen pushed his face away, not eating it.
Sun Tiantian snickered, "Arrogant."
Shen Nianshen, "..."
She opened a can of cola and handed it to Shen Nianshen, "Then, drink this."
Shen Nianshen glanced at her and answered without expression, "No."
Sun Tiantian, "..."
Shen Nianshen didn't want to eat anything; Sun Tiantian decided to finish it all alone. However, the two barrels of popcorn was indeed too much, throughout the film, she was only busy eating popcorn.
At first, she ate popcorn while watching the movie. Until the middle of the movie, she felt the film was too dull, and she devoted herself to eat popcorn.
Nom, nom, nom, nom...
Shen Nianshen also felt bored; he leaned back in his chair and tried to overcome his boredom.
He lowered his gaze, and his eyes fell towards Sun Tiantian's head.
That girl lowered her head, embraced two barrels of popcorn and endlessly put popcorn into her mouth.
How come she ate it like a little mouse, very cute.
Shen Nianshen stared at her for a long time, his eyes unconsciously showing a weakly
The long movie finally finished, when they came out of the Cinema, everyone talked to each other about the film.
"Throughout the movie, I want the toilet all the time. It's not strange for you to say that I always run to the toilet at least four times."
"Ah, I think you should empty your bladder."
"No way."
"But the movie is too boring; I almost fell asleep."
Sun Tiantian heard some guy beside her, teasing each other, she looked up and asked Shen Nianshen, "Did you think the movie is good?"
Shen Nianshen pressed his nape, and try to flex the tension there. Hearing Sun Tiantian's question, he answered, "What do you think?"
Sun Tiantian chuckled, "I also feel bored. I almost fell asleep."
Almost fell asleep?
Shen Nianshen's eyes twitch, so who was the one that eating popcorn like a little mouse during the movie?
Sun Tiantian finished two barrels of popcorn cleanly when she came out of the cinema she still held a can of cola.  She took it out and planned immediately drank it up in one gulp, then threw it away.
When Shen Nianshen saw her drinking cola in that way, he was a little worried, "Didn't you eat too much? You already drank two cans of cola, will you get a stomachache?"
Sun Tiantian said confidently, "No, my stomach is firm."
Sun Tiantian finished the cola in one breath, then threw it into the trash can beside her.  She looked up and smiled sweetly at Shen Nianshen, "Where are we going now?"
The time showed five o'clock in the evening on, still not too late.
Shen Nianshen said without expression, "I want to go to the library."
Sun Tiantian's small face contorted, "The library is very boring."
"Hmm, you go play alone, I'll go first."
After saying that, by chance, the green light was on. Shen Nianshen immediately walked cross the street.
Just walking a few steps, suddenly there was a hand that pulled his hand, a cheerful voice came from behind, "I'll accompany you."
This was the first time Sun Tiantian watched a with Shen Nianshen; her mood was very incredible. Along the way to the library, they walked together, and the girl continued to smile as she looked at Shen Nianshen.
"Let's go and watch the movie again next Thursday; we have to choose a better film."
"Can you ride a bicycle? How about we go cycling sometime? But I can't ride a bicycle, so you have to give me a ride."
"Shen Nianshen, have you ever played a doll catching machine? There's a carnival at Mingyue Square, shall we go together?"
Sun Tiantian talked very much, but Shen Nianshen did not feel annoyed. Sunlight when the sunset hit the girl's body, an orange circle, appeared above her head. Shen Nianshen saw the bright smile on that girl's face, without realising she was blown away.
When the two of them arrived at the library, Sun Tiantian lowered her voice and whispered to Shen Nianshen, "Actually, I hate coming to the library."
Suddenly she smiled, "But for your sake, I have no problem coming here every day. How about it? Do you feel touched?"
Shen Nianshen sat before her, opened a book while listening to her words.  He answered vaguely, "If you can stay quiet for a while, I will be more touched."
Sun Tiantian, "..."
Alright, she will shut her mouth up.
Sun Tiantian was very bored; she went to the bookshelf to look for some novels.
But Sun Tiantian could only focus for a maximum of 20 minutes on her book, and when she looked up, she saw the concentration of the guy in front of her was extraordinary.  That guy was writing very seriously in his notebook.
Sun Tiantian was curious; she stood up from her desk and sat next to Shen Nianshen.
The chair in the library was some kind of bench that two people could occupy the chair.
She sat next to Shen Nianshen and looked at his notebook.
Then she stared blankly on it because the book was full of English writing.
"Shen Nianshen ... are you from the English Department?"
Shen Nianshen, "..."
"No way, you go to the Business Department, right?"
"..."
Sun Tiantian's admiration for Shen Nianshen immediately increased by several levels and suddenly hugged his arm.  She said excitedly, "Shen Nianshen, how about you teach me English? I haven't passed CET-4 yet."
Shen Nianshen was still doing his activities, his head was not raised, and his voice was weary, "CET-4 is very easy, you just have to practice with two sets of sample questions."
Sun Tiantian was an Art Student; she was not a smart student. Language, politics, and history were slightly better.  But her English and Math were horrible.
"Just like that, tomorrow I will bring examples of CET-4 exam questions, and you get to help me."
Sun Tiantian proclaimed the decision she had made herself to Shen Nianshen.
Shen Nianshen silent and finally raised his head, "Did I said that I agree?"
Sun Tiantian smiled, clasped both of her hands together and looked at Shen Nianshen with a pleading look.
Shen Nianshen, "..."
Shen Nianshen seriously studied again. When he entered this phase, he could be silent for an hour without moving at all.
But this was very difficult for Sun Tiantian. After sitting for several hours, she began to feel uncomfortable.
The most important thing was she seemed to have a stomachache.
She had gone back and forth several times to restroom, but it wasn't diarrhea.  However, the pain in her stomach was getting more and more intense.
Within half an hour, she had gone back and forth to the restroom three times. Shen Nianshen finally felt something was wrong. He looked up and saw Sun Tiantian nestled on the table with her face buried inside both of her arms.
He was a little worried, stretched out his hand and touched that girl, "Sun Tiantian, are you alright?"
Sun Tiantian did not move, but when she looked up from her arms, her face was pale and looked scary.
Shen Nianshen's eyebrows rose, he asked frantically, "What's wrong with you? Why is your face so pale? You're not feeling well?"
Sun Tiantian's voice was weak, her other hand holding her stomach, "Seems like ... it seems like I have a stomachache."
The girl's face was pale, Shen Nianshen frowned and immediately put down the questioner. He stood up from his chair and headed to Sun Tiantian's side. That's when he realised that the girl was holding her stomach in the appendix position.
"Can you walk?"  Shen Nianshen held her hand and asked anxiously.
Sun Tiantian tried to stand by herself, but because it was too painful, so she sat down again.
Shen Nianshen saw this situation, his eyebrows stiffened, he immediately crouched before Sun Tiantian, "Go up, I'll take you to the hospital."
Shen Nianshen carried Sun Tiantian and immediately flew to the Hospital.
Sun Tiantian who was on Shen Nianshen's back, even though her stomach was very painful, but her heart was filled with joy.
She hugged his neck and leaned her face on his shoulder.
She hoped that time would stop at this second, she also hoped that Shen Nianshen would always carry her like this.  She hoped that Shen Nianshen could like her as much as she loves him.

Half an hour later.
Hospital.
Sun Tiantian was infused, Shen Nianshen sat next to her and accompanied her, but his face was very horrible.
Sun Tiantian slowly touched his arm and smiled, "Shen Nianshen, don't be angry. Next time I won't eat that much anymore, nor will I drink cold cola anymore."
Shen Nianshen glanced at her, "Why I need to be angry? The one who sicks is not me either."
His mouth said this, but his face was still very awful.
Sun Tiantian looked at him, her heart pleased.  She approached and whispered beside him, "Shen Nianshen, are you worried about me?"
Shen Nianshen frowned and looked at him, "You think too much, I just feel that you are troublesome."
Sun Tiantian, "..."
Sun Tiantian was again struck, snorted and glanced at him.
Shen Nianshen also ignored her, staring out the window. His gaze was so deep, whether he was thinking about something.
After a while, Sun Tiantian's anger subsided. She took the initiative to talk with Shen Nianshen.
"Shen Nianshen, can you help me get a glass of warm water?"
Shen Nianshen fell silent and turned around to take it.
When he already handed the glass of water to her, Sun Tiantian's eyes curved, and she spoke softly, "Thank you."

Everybody knew Shen Nianshen too well.
In this world, there was probably no girls who can enter his heart.

I ran my hands through the drawers of Robyn's desk, having just emptied it of all her school books. All I could feel was space, no hearing aid. 
"Are you sure you haven't just misplaced them?" I asked. 
Ava was looking through Robyn's bed, unmaking it and lifting the mattress with Robyn's help. Ava answered, "They have to be around here somewhere. This is the third pair she's lost this month." They dropped the mattress with a loud thud, Robyn turning to the pile of clothes on the floor, as she rifled through them, Ava continued with a loud, "Robyn, you really need to take better care of them." 
Robyn didn't respond. 
Ava narrowed her eyes, nudging her with her foot and repeating her statement, "You usually take such good care of them, dude."
Robyn made a quick gesture, complaining about how she had been busy the last couple of weeks with ballet and school. There was something almost dismissive about her gesture, too quick to go back to leafing through the pockets of her dresses. 
Ava shrugged it off, starting to remake the bed as I searched the side tables. 
Robyn lived a remarkably simple lifestyle, at least by the standard of her room. While issued with the same furniture as everyone else, Robyn had barely personalised it. The walls were bare of posters or photographs, the curtains were always open day and night, and her bedsheets were a soft yellow. When I scanned her bookcase, it was proudly filled with books, mainly dance theory, cookbooks, and foreign fables, the colours and volumes being the only personality in the room. When I went to her closet to try there, I found more of Robyn's things tucked away behind the doors. Baskets of pastel coloured wool, knitting needles, other cookbooks and stuffed animals were stacked in uneven piles under her hung up dresses. 
I squatted down to the plushies, pushing them aside to find an organisation container. I opened some of the lids and rummaged through the random hobby supplies, hiding my smirk when I saw dozens of hard-core metal band CDs with very graphic art styles and images. One that took me particularly off guard was a trio of voodoo heads, their skin was a decaying dark grey and their hair painted to be black and oily. It sent a shiver down my spine as I replaced it. 
"I think I found some," I announced, grasping a pair of bright red hearing aids at the bottom of the box. 
Both girls watched as I held them up, Ava grabbing them and examining them, Robyn peering over her shoulder to look. "I haven't seen these ones in ages," Ava beamed, running her fingers over the polished red. Robyn stared at her lips when she spoke, "Do they still fit?" 
Robyn shrugged, taking one and adjusting it to her ear, Ava simultaneously doing the other for her. Robyn scratched at her earlobes for a second, before shooing me from her closet to push aside her hung up clothes to get to a mirror hidden on the back wall. She pulled it out and rested it against the wall next to her closet doors. 
"Why does Robyn hide her mirror?" I muttered to Ava. 
Ava blinked, considering the situation with puzzlement, "I don't know." 
Robyn seemed happy, tucking her hair behind her ears to see the red hearing aids that somehow still fit. She signed; happily, her fingers almost twinkling with how happy she was to find some. 
Estelle suddenly started yelling from the hallways, knocking on the walls as she approached and ringing the bell with the other until she stood at Robyn's door. "Here thee, here thee, I call upon my company to partake in masterful soap opera, Downtown Lover's Lane," Estelle announced, Simmons was quick behind her, clearly flustered by the Princess' loudness, but not objecting as Estelle added, "You guys interested? I'm making popcorn."
Ava nodded, "Popcorn sounds great." 
Robyn clicked her fingers in response. 
When we went to the living room, almost everyone else was there. The twins sat on the floor, resting their elbows on the coffee table, as they versed each other in a small video game. Alexis sat on the edge of the lounge, her hands fiddling with a strange metal object. When I hopped beside her, she jumped, "Not cool." 
"I like to think I am," I countered, placing a quick kiss on her cheek, "What's that?" 
She held it out to me, allowing me to get a better look at the strange trinket. "They're called Impossible Tricks. They come with Mia's weird science magazines," she informed. I looked over the metal object, frowning at its strange design. It was made of three bits of bronze coloured metal, all looped together but able to be shifted around and moved. 
"Each one comes with a story." Bonnie rolled towards us, a giant bowl of popcorn in her lap. "Mia usually finishes them by the time I've read the story out."
I widened my eyes, noting how easily the three parts got stuck and refused to move. "This seems really difficult," I mumbled, the metal on metal sound clinking as I tried to pull them apart. "What's the story behind this?" 
Bonnie shrugged, reaching over to the side table where all the magazines were stored. After a moment of reading, Bonnie read out, "'Long ago there were three brothers who all lived on a farm. The first brother worked in the fields, the second worked with the animals, and the last travelled to sell their trades.'" As she read, I considered the three attached parts, each resembling a strange utensil. "'One day the three got into a heated argument about whose work was most important-'"
"Never do that," Amia cooed. 
"Always ends badly," her brother added. 
Bonnie continued, "'The first announced his work in the fields fed the animals and gave the last brother the goods to sell. The second proclaimed that his animals provided for both the crops and the stalls. While the third exclaimed that without his travels and sales, they wouldn't be able to maintain the farm in the first place. During the argument, a witch overheard their harsh words-'"
"As they do," Alexis whispered. 
"'And cursed the brothers to be attached at the hip, until they could find common ground. Help the brothers work together to become unstuck,'" Bonnie finished, tossing the magazine back on the side table. 
After some fiddling, I was convinced they couldn't come apart. "They do come apart," Alexis assured, "I heard Mia do it earlier." 
"Where is Mia anyway?" Ava asked, both her and Robyn sitting on the lounge across from us. 
"Still playing the piano," Bonnie answered, "She loves that thing." 
"She's played it a lot this week," Amia cooed, her eyes still glued to her game, "I could hear her playing at like eleven at night." 
"It seems to calm her down," Bonnie confessed, holding out the bowl to Estelle who was trying to sneakily steal popcorn, "I had read an interesting therapy called Music Therapy. You play instruments to relieve tensions and such." 
"I think I've heard of that actually," Estelle cooed, coughing when she breathed in popcorn bits. 
Bonnie nodded. "I got excited when she almost sang the other day," she admitted, sighing contently. 
"Is this smart though?" Amada's voice sounded small as if he wasn't quite sure what he was going to follow up with. 
Bonnie's annoyance was ignited, reflecting in her eyes as she cast a glare at him. "Is what smart?"
I watched Amada gulp as he placed his game on the table and nervously scratch his face. "Well… you aren't a therapist, Bonnie," he put simply, "This might just be a distraction for Mia, or like an obsession trade." 
I had expected Bonnie to lash out at Amada, maybe throw something at him, lose her temper, but she remained eerily calm, which unnerved me more. "I'd rather distract her from what's going on then see the way she tries to deal with it."
"You mean panic and anxiety attacks aren't the answer?" Estelle spoke with an air of sarcasm. 
Bonnie rolled her eyes, crossing her arms and barely hiding her want to pout. "Are we watching the show or not?"
Estelle apologised with a soft punch to her arm and reached for the remote, forgetting what buttons meant what as she turned on the wrong stereo system and went into the wrong settings. This caused an uproar between the twins, Bonnie and Ava, who all at once tried to snatch it off the Princess to take over the control of the TV. Alexis linked her arm with mine, resting her head on my shoulder as she continued blindly playing with the Impossible Trick. 
I instinctively tightened my grip around her, prompting her to smile and snuggle into my shoulder. 
The moment was interrupted for me, when I saw Robyn, still sitting across from me. She scratched at her ears, staring at the others as they argued, with narrowed eyes and a troubled expression. I saw her bite the inside of her cheeks, her eyes dropping to the floor as she continued to play with the hearing aids, once pulling them out and replacing them. Just as I went to question her about it, her eyes lit up, and she gave a small smile to Ava, who had returned to her seat, having won the remote-control battle.

"Want... Strong... Train.. Me" came from Emilié, in an uncompleted sentence with hoarse voice, looking at Emil with strong will.

She tried to convey her biggest desire to him, it were only four words, but they were laden with a deep meaning for her.

Confused by Emilié, Emil bent down to her height.

Disregarding whatever she said, he gingerly told her "Emilié please, do not speak anymore. You damaged your vocal cords, so you have to take more care of yourself." to keep her from getting once more agitated, he stretched out his hand to hold her shoulder in a calm manner.

"Come, let me bring you back into your room. You are not in the condition to walk around and especially not with bare foot." 

He hinted at her foot which was bare. He was worried she would catch a cold, since her dress was bloody, she was changed into a clean night gown that was appropriate for her height, but it couldn't hide her thin and fragile body.

Thus, he wanted to bring her back to the chamber to rest and when he is at it already, escape Jane's scrutiny. Better let Jane calm down before resuming the talk. 

'SLAP'

But Emilié didn't have it with him. She slapped his hand away with a resounding slap, letting Jane jolt from her seat in surprise and Sera stop eating those god d*mn popcorn and seriously focus on her.

"Train..me!" Emilié repeated with vigor.

"Train you?" Emil asked baffled. "Like training you in my martial arts and teach you the art of combat?!"

Emilié nodded in confirmation.

"Emilié" he started searching for the right words. "I know, you have suffered much in that house in the hands of that family, but you are safe now and Aunty Jane will take good care of you, trust me." 

While saying that, Emil felt a cold glare on his back, so he hurriedly spit some more compliments out, before the glare bore through his body and let him cold out there. "She is one beautiful, kind and caring woman, who loves kids and is very good with them especially with cute girls like you. So, there is no need for you to care about irrelevant things, just concentrate on having fun and being happy." Emil looked at her with more concern, trying to talk her out of it. 

The girl must have gone through a lot if she'd be so insecure, to ask him a way to keep herself safe on her own lonesome self.

But for Emilié, Emil's words were like a fleeting breeze, not even tickling her resolve a bit to go on, and take the easy route of a carefree life.

"Train.. me!" She didn't cease, still staring into his eyes with her darkened intense ones.

Emil was appealed, what headstrong girl but, her reaction was plausible after all this. Right, who the hell was he, to tell her to trust his words. He had to go another way around it.

He brought his hands to hers, taking them into his. He felt how tiny they were. Those tiny hands struggling her whole life to live a decent life. 

And that is what he wants to give her. A decent and happy life, out off all the badness in this world. Let Emilié live her life encased in a fairy tale build by him, filled with only goodness; out off the whole trouble he had to shoulder.

"Emilié, I don't wish to scare you, but please hear me out. I know you want to be strong to protect yourself, because you were hurt badly, but you are safe now and no one can or will be able to hurt you. And... it won't be easy for you to learn any strenuous activities, you are injured and the doctor said we have to facilitate¹ you away from any kind of stress and agitation. Martial art is one big ball of that, and not something you can practice in your bodily or mental condition. You understand me?"

Emilié just shook at his well elaborated words, at why she should stop wanting to learn martial art.

Usually, such a request would be fine. But, she asked Emil to personally train her, and his speciality was hand-to-hand combat. More specific, it was an art to kill and that's not something he wants to teach a child. 

He could show her some light stuff but, someday they would reach a juncture were she would want to learn some heavy stuff, and with her already damaged body, it is best to cut her wish off from the root and let her concentrate on healing.

"Teach!...Me!" She gripped his hand, digging her nail at the marks she left before.

Emil's scratched face felt itchy. He knew she meant it for real, so he became serious, looking at her pensivly. 

When someone has paid more attention to his eyes, one could see them shifting lightly from right to left. He was thinking, thinking to smash that newly rooted idea of hers. But how...

"I'm sorry but I can't teach you. You don't have what it takes."

"Wh..at?" Emilié asked, her eyes narrowing. What couldn't she have what it takes. 

If it is resolve she had plenty of it. If it was the will to hold in the harshest of the harshest training plan pfff, don't make her laugh, her whole being was trampled to hell and she is still sane.

How bad can his training be?! So what was it?

"I.. " he became ashamed lightly under her stare. "I have a requirement that you don't meet, and that is me only training boys." Emilié kept on staring at him as if he was wacko² in his head. He sounded like her grandfather Clyde with his conservative and sexist way. 

Emil too realized that it sounded wrong. "cough'.. Don't understand me wrong, it is not because girls can't learn martial arts; look at Sera she is a woman and very strong but.. m-my.. yes! My training is very harsh and bodily demanding, that someone within the fairer gender wouldn't handle it well. So, I will only train boys!"
 
Emilié was not born yesterday, she knows what he was trying. She let go of his hands, redirecting her gaze to the green haired lady. She went up to her. 

Emil wants to teach only boys. Well, then she shall go along with his charade!

Fate likes to play a fool game with Liz, after her mother's death everything goes downhill with her and her father's relationship, until one day there was a point of no return for both of them.

Jallel Methusahel: " Yeah... go ahead I'll keep you up with news... make sure he's safe!! "
Micha stood up and prepped his transfer.. disabling their barrier. Suddenly Lucian's cocoon started to expand and aggressively twitched. 
Micha el Batahala: " No.. no no no fuck!!! he still managed to absorb the DNA!! "
Quickly Micha casted a regeneration spell where he bit the cocoon itself to release saliva with physical healing effects. 
Micha el Batahala: " come on you got this *talking like he's mouth is full* "

Micha el Batahala: *chanting* blood that flows within with purity and affinity. close all impurities and lock all the purity. all elements in this world contaminate his blood. all energy in this world contaminate his body. all knowledge I know contaminate his mind. flow like a water in the rain that drops in the rivers and ground, flow where water flows in the wide ocean and seas. release your conscience from hesitation and engage in pure evolution. Ultra support beam!! "
A rainbow of colors shrouded the cocoon, glitters of energy surrounded the stone, Light and darkness are sparking causing the surroundings to turn in pure darkness except the stone table. The cocoon is extremely large twice Micha el Batahala's height in length and as thick as the stone table. glowing roots from the ground surrounded the table and cocoon. the table turned red emitting magma like effects. the air around it thinned and it continued the pulsation. 
Micha el Batahala: " I never expected that Lucian's body is so vulnerable from DNA. This didn't happend when he first got here. I wonder what caused this? " 
Micha is kinda tired because he spent half of his magic throughout the chaos. He went and rested like a tiger would beside the table to naturally replenish his body, mind, and magic. 
2 hours later Both the Weretigers and Werebats returned in the plaza. The Werebats rested in the ceiling, while the Weretigers stayed in the plaza.
Jericho: " how did it go Bruce? did you guys killed all of them? "
Bruce: " Their high priest took damage but a giant portal opened then a giant hand came out and grabbed their high priest. "
Jericho: " what did Jallel say? "
Bruce: " He didn't say anything but he flinched when the hand came out. I think he had no clue what that was." 
Jericho: I see, well glad you're safe! whatever that is.. Is not friendly. "
Bruce: " how's Lucian? any news from Micha? "
Jericho: " I was somewhere else when they got here.. I heard from the ladies that Micha came back with a cocoon.. was that Lucian? "
Bruce: " I see so you don't have a single clue on what's happening.. that cocoon is Lucian.. he absorbed all the DNA in the battlefield. " 
Jericho: " oh.. that is bad!! He's overloading.."
Bruce: " yeah.. I know. "
They got quiet because from then on, all they can do is hope that Micha increases Lucian's survival. All the Weretigers are fine and so is the Werebats. No Casualties, No damage, No injuries but they all spent almost all their magic and energies.
