I got my title picture from a comic on Webcomics.

I must have read too many werewolf stories online. Serene had shared like a whole list of her favourite webnovels... And they were all werewolf romances. I should have known. But because I had time to kill in the car, I read and read and read. 

Most werewolf romance stories ran similarly. A lot of Serene's favourites had a human girl female lead, and an Alpha male werewolf male lead. 

It moved pretty fast, they would meet by the second chapter and the male would have declared over the girl "mine". 

But for various reasons, the human female would be unable to reciprocate the feelings as immediately. She would fight against the strong alpha males advances, frustrating him into a terrible mood. And then fight against the mating bond, frustrating herself into a terrible mood. 

But eventually, due to the mating bond, she would come to love him. He would smell irresistible, and she would miss him for no reason, and there would be sparks whenever they touched. 

And then something terrible would happen. Like they would be kidnapped by rogues, or something like that. But the alpha wolf would definitely come and save her. 

Sometime along the way, she or he might reject the mating bond causing great pain to both parties. Or he might mark her. Or she might run away. Or she might get a makeover. Or be impressed by his wealth, or pack status, or immense responsibility.

Let's not forget that there would be some jealous Lycan ex who would hate her. And also a new Lycan bestie. 

I've learned that if waking up from injuries, the person would be very thirsty and require a drink immediately. 

I've also learned that the mate bond is very strong and can never be completely broken and drove both parties mad with need to be close to the other. Except it was much weaker on humans. For wolves, it would be a life and death issue. 

And alphas had a fearsome temper... Maybe just male Alphas? Sam was always smiling and friendly to me...if a bit absent minded. Well, I've never done anything to piss her off... And after reading these stories, I think I would do well to take care not to annoy any alpha... Actually, it's not like I would ever purposely offend any wolf to begin with. I was never brave like that. Even making another human angry was slightly scary to me, nevermind someone who could change into a ferocious wolf. 

And then eventually, after much drama, some tears and bloodshed, they would come to accept each other and she would become the Luna of the pack and turn out to be exactly what that angry alpha and his pack needed. And everyone that mattered would love her, especially her Alpha Mate. 

The end. 

That was a combination of the past 12 stories I binge read. For some reason... I couldn't stop. I read them all the way to the gold packlands. 

Mum tried to talk to me, but dad said to let me study in peace. I was too engrossed to correct him. 

When I finally looked up from my screen, my eyes were dry. I blinked at the window and watched the expensive looking glass buildings and manicured landscaped pavements pass by. 

Dad followed the GPS' instructions and turned our family car into a road lined with brick red mansions. We were stopped by uniformed guards. Dad showed some papers and motorcycled guards escorted us the rest of the way to largest gate at the end of the road. 

The security check required us to get out of the car. And then a couple of wolves sniffed around while we were reminded that silver, Wolfbane products, and projectile weapons without the right paperwork were not allowed. 

Right. But they found the silver bracelet I bought at a flee market... So it was real silver after all. The guard used a glove hand to put it in a sealed bag. I had to sign it. He said it would be returned to me when we left. 

Okay, back into our car and the two wolves escorted us to the garage where we parked. A man in a suit met us at the garage. He apologized for the security confiscation of my bracelet. My dad simply laughed it off as his daughter's trinklet. 

I nodded, "Sorry, I bought it at a flee market. I didn't know it was silver." 

The man, who introduced himself as Beta Peter returned a tight smile. He then led us up to meet Alpha George. 

If our trip to the Green Packland last summer was anything to go by, this would be the only time mum and I had to enter the packhouse or meet the Alpha or anything. After this, our family would be moved to our service apartment at the shopping district and mum and I would be free to enjoy the rest of the holiday. 

Alpha George and his Luna was waiting for us in a receiving room of some sort. This pack house looked a lot fancier than the one we visited at the Green Packlands. The floors were marble and the door knobs were all gold. There were footmen everywhere. I felt really small. 

But Alpha George smiled and welcomed my dad. His Luna looked beautiful, all honey brown from her hair to her eyes to her skin tone... Different shades of a pale honey brown. I quickly looked down at my hands. Dad said wolves were sensitive to staring. 

"Thanks for coming all this way." Alpha George said.

"It's a pleasure to be here." Dad said, matching the Alpha's smile. 

"At the rate you're charging, I'm not surprised." Alpha George said and then he laughed. 

Okay, I was not the one staring here, the Luna was staring at me. Why was the Luna staring at me? 

"What a lovely girl." The Luna said, "How old is she?" 

The Luna asked my parents, completely unaware that I was able to answer questions.

"My daughter, Christa. She just started college at Gate City Business College." Dad said. 

"Business?" The Luna looked surprised. 

"Well, my darling, if girls could be Alphas nowadays... Why not business school?" Alpha George shrugged, "Most of our daughters usually study art or music, sometimes fashion or design, but I hear it's becoming a trend now for Lycan girls to continue their studies in other fields nowadays. The Lycan world is changing more rapidly than I would like lately." 

"It's catching up." Dad said. 

I froze. Don't offend Alphas! 

But Alpha George only laughed loudly, "That's why I like you! Come, come, have something to eat and drink." 

"Peter, will you go get Henry? Tell him to come now." The Luna said. 

This gave Alpha George pause, "Why darling? You'll just piss that boy off if you meddle." 

"I'm not meddling. I just want to introduce them." The Luna said. She smiled at me, "Christa, my son Henry is unmated and your age too. He just started business college too. But he is studying at Black Forest University." 

I nodded. Wow. Way a go at being subtle Luna. But I kept the thought politely to myself. 

If this was a werewolf story... But it's not. This was real life. And coincidences like that didn't happen in real life. 

There was a knock on the door, Beta Peter returned, "Alpha Henry is here." 

Dad and mum stood up, so I did too. 

Alpha Henry turned out to be the perfect werewolf story romance male protagonist. He had his mother's honey brown hair and eyes. But with darker undertones. His skin was lighter though, like his dad. A very nice tan even though its winter. 

He said nothing, but his jaw ticked and I knew he wasn't exactly happy and relaxed. 

"Henry!" Alpha George said, "Come sit down. Meet our consultant, Mr Laurel, his mate and daughter, Christa." 

Henry stalked over. As he came closer I noticed a smell like fall leaves, fresh, a little sweet and very woodsy. I breathed in a little deeper to take in the scent. Wow. Autumn was suddenly my favourite season of the year. Did this Henry guy liked to roll in leaves? 

And then I realised we were in the middle of winter. It's Christmas. There were no more leaves, not on the bare trees, not on the bare ground. Unless this Alpha kept a secret pile of leaves somewhere. Hahahaha. 

Henry pretty much ignored everyone else in the room. He sat on the coffee table right in front of me. His long legs on either side of mine. And then he leaned forward and said to me in a deep growly voice, "Mine." 

"No way." I said aloud in my shock, "No freakin way." 

And then I slapped him. 

Right on his gorgeous face. Smack. It didn't sound too loud but the force of it made his head turn just a little so that I noticed that he had a really strong and attractive profile... No, wait? What was I thinking? Focus!

I shook my head. There was no way this could be real. I must have fallen asleep in the car while reading those crazy werewolf romance stories. 

Except that he smelled like autumn leaves and his growling was like a car humming... Very soothing... Except I never found the sound of cars smoothing before. And I was actually right about to freak out properly when Henry's mother laughed. 

Her laughter was warm and strong, "Looks like she got you there, son." 

Henry leaned back, but didn't get up from sitting directly in front of me. His knees were still pressed against either side of my sofa, but at least the smell of autumn leaves wasn't surrounding me. 

Suddenly, 12 werewolf romance novels wasn't enough. What do I do now? I racked my brain to figure it out. 

"I can't." I said finally. 
"Boyfriend?" Henry asked. 
I shook my head. 
"Good." Henry smirked, "Now you do." 
"What?" I asked. 
"Now you have a boyfriend." He said. 
"Who?" I asked, for the sake of clarity. 
Henry groaned and pinched his brow, "Goddess, I finally meet my mate and she's stupid." 

He was totally disregarding the presence of both our parents and Beta Peter. 

And then I realised, he was behaving just like Sam. The world to a young powerful Alpha was like that - it revolved around them at their own pace. They said whatever they wanted, did whatever they wanted... and they were perfectly used to everyone changing course and pace to suit them. 

Hahaha. 

I'm not stupid, wise guy. 

I leaned forward into the smell of autumn leaves. His breath smelled like coffee. OMG, I was getting turned on by the smell of leaves and coffee... Mating bond, just mating bond. 

Henry was purring. 

"No." I said simply. 

I've never owned a dog before, but I've always wanted one. From the time I had a library card of my own, I had read countless dog training books in hopes that my mum would one day relent and let me have a dog. 

Wolves were somewhat related to dogs right? 

So I was going to be signalling that I was top dog here. 

I looked straight into Henry's honey brown eyes, almost distracted by the way it was a dark chocolate brown under the glow of the honey brown. 

"No. I am not stupid. Neither am I your mate." I said firmly and quietly. 

"Are you rejecting me?" Henry asked. His growl turned dangerously low. 

"No. I'm just not accepting you." I said. 

Henry's growl sounded frustrated. 

"What do you want?" He asked. 

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Everything has a price." He smirked. 

I nodded, "It's true." 

"What do you want from me?" Henry asked, "Up to half my inheritance is yours for the asking." 

I laughed at that, "Alpha... If you are my mate, everything you have is mine and everything I have is yours. But you're not. The price for my acceptance is two things. One, I need time. I just met you. And two, I need to fall in love with you. I know you guys mate based on a mating bond, but humans need love." 

"And look at the number of divorce cases love made." Henry smirked. 

I think my mate liked to smirk. No! Not mate. Omo. This mating bond is sneaky. 

"Stupid." I said, "Divorce isn't simply about feelings. Neither is marriage, or mating." 

I stood up. All the dog training books had said, the top dog didn't move around the other dogs, they moved for him. 

"Excuse me." I looked pointedly at Henry's leg. Henry paused, as if considering his options. Then he smirked and stood up too. 

Henry was tall and broad shouldered. I couldn't even see past his shoulder without tiptoeing. We were standing inches apart and this mate bond thing? It was REAL. 

I looked up at his stupid smirking face. Did he think his build would intimidate me? He would be right, but I wasn't going to back down. 

I've only read 12 werewolf romances. So far, all of them only showed me what not to do. 

If ever approached by a wolf who turns out to be your mate, but you were totally not expecting it:

Do not reject him. 
Do not slap him. (It totally did nothing for me anyway except nearly give me a heart attack.)
Do not try to run away... In the stories, he would catch you and be furious or something worse would catch you. 
Do not sass him cos the mating bond is REAL (am I the only one shocked by this revelation here?) And standing longer than necessary near him to sass would be bad for your self control. 

Like you know how in some romantic comedies this couple would argue until they ended up kissing each other right? It turned out not to be just another Hollywood lie. It was the mating bond. It really messed with your mind. (And is REAL)

I KNOW BECAUSE MATE IS WAY TOO CLOSE TO ME AND HAS STARTED PURRING AGAIN. 

WTH! I just called him mate again! No! Not mate. That Henry... Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, the leading pack in the Gold Packlands. Who I just met for the first time in my life except that the smell of autumn leaves was affecting me in a crazy way. 

I wondered if it were true that our touch would tingle. So far the only touch I did was slap him. Hard enough for my hand to tingle. But I don't think it was supposed to be that kind of tingle. I reached out my hand before I knew it. And then I touched him very gently on whatever shirt in front of me. Stomach? 

My hand shot back at the spark. Woah. 

"F***." Henry stepped sideways away from me. 

He was an Alpha werewolf. I was just a normal human. All I had to navigate this relationship would be 12 werewolf webnovel romances and a lifetime research on dog obedience training.

Christa is just a normal girl starting college. A normal human girl. So what happens when her consultant dad takes her and her mum into Lycan territory for work? If this was a werewolf webnovel... but it wasn't, right? This was real life! So why was the hot young alpha her mate? And dog obedience training tips would work on hot Alphas too right?

A warm fuzzy 8-part+epilogue Christmas special, a little present for my readers.

This is Alpha Henry's love story. Around 5 years later from whatever is happening in Sam's DIARY OF A TEENAGE ALPHA. Of course Sam guest-stars but it could be read as a stand-alone just fine.

We all have heard of love. 

Yes it's a typical love story that u might have read or heard earlier. 

An beautiful encounter of love which has no words to describe. 

A stories which is filled with love which anyone wants to live in... 

So basically it's just an introduction of Author - that's me 😆

I'm actually a reader, I love to read, so that means I'm not a writer by profession. 

I love to read that made me inspired to write my own thoughts. 

Genre I most prefer is " supernatural i.e. Werewolf / vampires"  " romance"  "boy's love" " drama". 

I'm a happy ending girl that believe in fairy tales.. So yeah you got right, I'm totally in to a beautiful happy ending with lots of drama girl. 

Well,  we all know, novels of romance, love have same thing in it that is love and beautiful ending (quite common, isn't) 

But what differs it is the actual story behind this love evolving and the path where it ends. 

Ending could be predicate sometimes, I know  have read many comics and novels with quite known ending but.. The most interesting thing but all this it's the drama it have inside this novels. 

This novel is all about  childhood sweetheart that fall deep in love with each other and there  way of love blossoming. 

That, well be know in next chapter 

Trust me it might seems like a well predicted  story but hold your seat belts tight, it have a big roller costal ahead. 


For me love is quite complicated concept yet to discover. Its in depth but still can see the end. Yes it's that complicated. My novel all about love and the the we all accept haply ever after. 
Here I present u a small gimp of the story. 

Something it's to easy if say straight and be confident. But things aren't always the way we want, now can they be? 

Prologue :


The time had come to start my journey. I leaned out of the window, waving as long as I could while she disappeared into the distance. 

The way further was my future, I should be excited and happy about it, but why am I feel incomplete and cold. 

A battle of emotions started deep inside my heart, a battle that never happened before. Making be uneasy, I looked back through my window to see the sight which I'll never see in future ahead.

Ok so how about a little about the book, hm?
So TFO honestly just struck suddenly and I started writing...I had no plot only characters and I just started it. I wanted to publish my book on webnovel just to check it out. Honestly I love this platform. I'm always like that I get a simple idea I write it down. But now I have the whole story planned out. 

I'm more of a thriller, gore and supernatural writer. Romance is so not my agenda but I wanted to write TFO real bad and complete it. This isn't exactly the first book I've written. On wattpad I had published DIMENSIONAL ROMANCE which I took down coz I wasn't proud of it and wanted to make major changes. But once it's ready I'll publish it on both platforms. 

Spoiler alert...due to my extreme love for thrillers and murders there will be A death in this book😌. I'm extremely passionate about TFO. I made Kizu's character like not totally a stereotypical bottom dude I read on wattpad and all. I wanted to make him smart, sensible, cautious, cold and friendly at the same time. I love him like a lot. Then there's Garry the sensitive giant. He was never there initially. Kizu was supposed live alone until I was like 'hey I want to create a top and very tall who gives off bottom vibes but actually isn't' and so bam he was created. Sebastian was never supposed to become a character. He was only supposed to show up in ch1 but I fell in love with his personality too. 

Honestly I feel like I should have written TFO with a high school setting but the setting that is there is better but I don't know anything about business or watever I'm just guessing and surfing the net. Like when I'm writing a chapter I'll have the dictionary and Google tabs open.

Well one is about elves, humans, dragons and shit....I've been working on its plot for 3yrs...but I'll make it a webtoon...maybe once I learn animation I'll even animate some scenes....

Then my other story which is like complete gore, psychotic, psychology stuff, supernatural stuff....its been 2yrs I've been working on its plot but it's not yet perfect...for now I've named it HER but it's a working title...

And last is about a queen, who with the help of a god who is actually a demon, destroys her people...was working on it for 2yrs also....

I'm planning to work on HER for now....coz I wanna make the plot complex and extremely fucked up. In this story I like really make the MC suffer..(ik I'm heartless) but it has to be done coz its important to the plot....

As Xun lay there listening to the noises around him, he realized, there was too much noise.  He could hear every breath, every snore, every shift of movement.  He finally couldn't handle it any longer, and got up.  Grabbing his things, he left the barracks and headed for the library.
 Closing the door to the map room, he set his bag down and took out the handwritten book.  He sat down in the corner, and made himself comfortable.  If he got any sleep, he would do it here in the quiet.  Then he opened the book to read.
 "The war is raging.  We've taken shelter at the school.  The bombs seem to have missed us here.  I just hope the rumors of vampires and monsters is just make believe."
 "The principal of the school told us he was going to start setting the school up as a refuge for anyone who could make it.  We have come up with sun guns to use to test the newcomers.  No vampires will get in our school."
 "The sun guns work too well!  We had a group of vampires try to sneak in, pretending to be human.  The sun guns turned them to ash so fast, it was really creepy.  I hope we can all sleep tonight."
 "One of the local farmers moved in with all of his gear and animals.  We're learning how to farm and ranch now, I guess.  Kinda hard to imagine how far we've come.  The next thing to do, is learn how to make fuel so we can power the generators when the current fuel we have is gone.  Susan said she knew there were books that talked about it in the library.  Found out that the school runs on tidal generators, too.  That's kinda neat."
 "So, we just finished raiding all of the little towns within 30 miles of us.  The monsters have pretty much taken out all of the people.  We brought back whoever we found, but there weren't many.  We emptied all of the businesses of all of the stuff we could carry, and that included the libraries.  I hope to never see another romance book again.  The thought is that we would burn some of them for fuel this winter."
 "A werewolf attacked us last night.  Scared the crap out of me.  Thankfully bullets work on this thing.  I'm not sure what we'll do when we run out of bullets.  Some of the science kids are going to dissect it and see what they can figure out about the thing.  Now that it's dead, it looks kinda diseased and old."
 "Apparently, if you get bit or scratched by a werewolf, you start becoming a werewolf.  Just like in the stories, go figure.  One of the science kids began to go all hairy, managed to get himself locked into a classroom before he went full on beast.  He went down quick.  I don't know how those science guys do it, but they're dissecting him now, to see what changes happened.  They think they might be able to come up with a cure or maybe figure out a weakness."
 "I was on lookout, on top of the tower, when the attack happened today.  I rang the bell to let everyone know.  I wasn't about to climb down though.  The wolves never looked up, so I hunkered down, and watched through the railing.  Several people died, but only because there were five of them.  We've decided to burn the bodies.  They're susceptible to fire.  When the science guys went to burn a bit of fur, it went up like it was doused in gas.  There was hardly any ash left.  They even went so far as to test the gases released from the fire, and decided they were completely harmless.  Good to know I guess."
 "The leaders have decided we are going to build a wall.  It won't be full proof against attacks, but we might be able to respond quicker if we have the extra minute or two before they jump or climb over it.  Everyone is trying to decide how tall to make it.  Some, particularly the science guys, are saying twenty or more feet, while the workers are trying to keep it saner.  The engineers are trying to make sure it will stay standing.  I'm just glad I'm not involved.  I'll just stay up here in my tower thank you very much."
 "They've been hauling in supplies for weeks now, from all the major cities and surrounding farms.  I've lost track of what all they're bringing in.  It's just truck after truck of people and supplies.  I've heard some stories of what it looks like out there, so I'm pretty happy to stay here, where it's safe."
 "Word is making the rounds, that we have to start training.  They want to make a killer squad to start hunting the werewolves and vampires.  I'm really not interested, so I think I'll fake something to get out of it."
 "Welp, turns out I'm really good with a gun.  It's also not as scary as I thought it would be.  They even said, I could stay in my tower and shoot the werewolves from a distance.  That sounded just fine to me.  I'm going to hide my gun and as much ammo as I can up in my tower so that I'll be ready."
 "Other monsters have been making the rounds, but I'm really good at shooting them, so they never get very close when I'm on duty.  The only problem is that we are running low on ammo.  I'm dreading the day we have to start relying on bows and arrows.  I tried to use them, but I really sucked at it."
 "Susan died today.  She was mauled by some creature, but shot herself in the head to keep from turning into some monster.  I made sure she got buried on the little hill overlooking that little beach she liked.  I might take some flowers and plant them on her grave.  I think she would like that."
 The next entry in the book had a different handwriting, Xun wondered if it was the same author or not.  He was starting to doze, so, laying his head down, he tried to sleep.

Follow Xun as he fights to survive in a world that seems to have lost all common sense.  In this post-Apocalyptic world, he contains knowledge on how to survive the various monsters, mostly werewolves and vampires.  Having traveled to many different compounds, places of human habitation, he has a unique point of view on how things should work, if given an opportunity.  It is with this knowledge that he has to decide if it is worth helping the people who he runs into, or if he should continue to travel alone.  Because of his constant need to relocate, he also understands that the human race is plagued with evils of its own.  Xun must decide how far he is willing to go, to help others survive.

Genna had been sitting in the same spot for so long her legs were starting to cramp. On the stove, her Bolognese sauce was reducing, and if she didn't tend to it soon it would be nothing but a thick layer of red gloop on the bottom of the saucepan. She didn't budge however. Instead she continued to remain on the chair, her legs pulled up to her chest, her arms wrapped around her shins and her chin resting on her knees. "Intrigued," she said, and loosening one arm, reached out to add the word to the list being compiled. "Okay," she said to the tomato and basil scented room, "so far I've got; incredulous, cautious, excited, anxious and intrigued." For a long moment she continued to stare at the open page, until with a small shake of head, she turned to face the opposite direction. "No," she said to the fridge door now in her line of vision. "Not that." Genna unhooked her arms and lowered her feet to the floor.
Her legs ached as she stood up and hobbled over to the hob. The heady aroma of fresh basil and ripe vine tomatoes made her mouth water as she turned off the ring and stirred the sauce. Scooping up a small amount she blew on the edge of the spoon and took a taste. "Perfect," she murmured.
Beside her sat a freshly baked loaf of bread. Genna broke off a chunk and dipped it straight into the pot before turning to lean against the counter. Her feet prickled with pins and needles so she shook out each foot in turn as she ate, her focus remaining fixed on the list.  When the first chunk of Bolognese-soaked bread had been eaten, she broke off another, dipped it into the sauce and carried on eating. All the while she considered the list of words. "Do I?" she asked after a while. "Do I really feel that, or is it werewolf magic?" No answer was offered so she continued to eat, ladling up the sauce with chunks of warm bread as hot sauce trickled between her fingers. Genna licked the sweet stickiness from her thumb. Normally, she didn't have the patience to wait for her beloved sauce to cook to perfection, but this time the wait had been worth it. Not only was she now starving and enjoying every taste, but having the entire lot to herself was sinful. Genna drew one finger across her lips to catch a loose drop. "Oh god," she sighed, and with a groan crossed to the table, snatched up the pen and scribbled her final addition. "Incredibly attracted," she read out. "There you go. My list of how I feel about Michael. The end."
Genna turned her back to the table to clean up, but halfway through wiping the counters she shook off her rubber gloves and returned to the notebook. "Not," she murmured, scoring out the two words. "I am so not incredibly attracted to Michael." Snorting at herself, she left the kitchen, snapping off the light before slamming the door.
An hour later the two words had been re-written.

The latest issue of Catering World landed on the floor beside Genna's bed with a smack.  She'd read the entire issue from cover to cover, but knew if someone was to ask a question about a single article, she wouldn't have been able to answer. Her head was too jammed with questions, and until she got some answers, she was a danger to herself and society. Waiting on the bedside locker sat her phone. If she picked it up and dialled the right person, she'd get the answers or advice she needed. But who was the person to call? Tina was top of her list, but if she called Tina she'd have to tell her the truth. The same applied to Shaun. Then there was her mom. No, she decided straight away, that would just be too weird. It left only one other person; Michael. And as he was the source of her dilemma, ringing him wasn't an option.
"Which leaves Google," she murmured, reluctant to dive head-first into the weirdness her last visit had brought. "Unless . . ." she paused to consider another option. She visited chatrooms regularly to swap recipes and techniques with other chefs, so why couldn't she do the same now? She just needed to find a suitable site, join a discussion, or start one of her own.
Genna leaned over the side of her bed and slid her laptop out from underneath. Piling up the pillows she got herself settled and logged on. She hit on the perfect site after a short search; a writers' website which catered for fantasy stories, vampires and werewolves in particular. One of the discussion rooms was busy with all kinds of werewolf chatter, and after dipping in and out of conversations she decided to bite the bullet and start one of her own. "Okay," she warned herself, "stay cool, Genna, watch how you word yourself." The site required a user name before hosting any discussions so she quickly set up an account and registered herself as Pen2Paper.
'Hi', she typed, feeling a sudden rush of nervous excitement. 'Anyone got any thoughts on werewolf/human bonding? Writing a story on this theme, but can't decide if the human girl should embrace the bond or freak out.' With the question typed, Genna hit the 'post comment' button. Her first reply came within three minutes.
NiteQueen13: The human girl should embrace it cos that's what would happen. The bond is so powerful she'd have no choice.
"No choice?" Genna muttered, and began to type.
Pen2Paper: Would the bond not be stronger for the wolf than the human?
NiteQueen13: S'pose, but she'd still be drawn to him.
Pen2Paper: She is drawn to him, but I think it's more realistic to write she'd be freaking out. A human with no experience of werewolves wouldn't accept it all straight off.
NiteQueen13: I would.
Pen2Paper: I wouldn't.
NiteQueen13: Why not? It would be awesome.
Pen2Paper: I don't want it to be for my character. She thought vampires and werewolves were fantasy, so when she finds out this guy is a wolf it takes her ages to wrap her head around it.
NiteQueen13: But she'd know they're mates, which means she has nothing to be afraid of. She'd also know the guy would never harm her.
Pen2Paper: Yeah, but she's just learning to deal with the whole werewolf thing and then she finds out they're mates. I think she'd be freaking out.
NiteQueen13: But feeling their bond would be the best part, it's a rush.
Howler101: Not necessarily for a human.
"Thank you," Genna whispered to the new arrival. NiteQueen13 seemed to be all about the romance. 'I agree @Howler101', she typed. 'I think feeling the bond should be far less intense for the human than the wolf. ' And this was what her last google search had told her too.
Howler101: You're right. Traditionally, a wolf/wolf bonding is very powerful. A human/wolf bonding is still strong for the wolf, but much less intense for a human, especially if physical touch is limited.
Genna frowned at the comment. Memories of Michael sitting on her couch while she was having a meltdown replayed. He'd barely touched her, but when he had she could now clearly remember how calming it had been. Had he purposely kept a physical distance that night? Did he not want her to feel their bond? But what about earlier today, at her mom's house, when he'd very purposely touched her. The whoosh had nearly spun her head off her shoulders.
NiteQueen13: The wolf would want to touch the human though. If she's his mate he won't want to keep his hands off her! He'll touch her every excuse he can get!
Every excuse he can get? Michael was definitely able to keep his hands to himself. Genna massaged her forehead. Had she got this mate thing all wrong? Or was Michael purposely not touching her so their bond wouldn't develop?
Howler101: @NiteQueen13 What if the wolf doesn't want her knowing they're mates?
NiteQueen13: Why wouldn't he?
Howler101: Hey, Pen2Paper, feel free to jump in here!
"Sorry," Genna said to the screen and quickly joined the conversation again. 'The wolf hasn't told her they're mates. She found out by accident.'
Howler101: How?
Pen2Paper: She overheard him tell his friend.
Genna's palms had turned damp with sweat and she wiped them on her sleeves. 'Think it makes the story more interesting this way,' she added.
Howler101: Has me interested already. I think it's fair for you to write the human is confused and scared.
"She is," Genna muttered.
NiteQueen13: But realistically, would the wolf not be touching his mate?? They can't help themselves once the connection is made.
Howler101: Most of the time ;)
Genna wanted to ask why the wolf wouldn't want to be touching the human, but couldn't organise her colliding thoughts. With every comment posted, ten more questions popped up. 'This is my first book, and to be honest I've done very little research. It's great to get opinions on this', she wrote instead.
Howler101: What else do you want to know?
Genna snorted. Even if Howler101 had an entire week to answer her questions she didn't think it'd be enough. She knew what she really wanted to ask, but it was difficult to find a way to word it. 'Do you think it's fair for the human to wonder if what she's feeling for the wolf is just a magic spell instead of a real connection?' she typed. The first reply prompted an eye roll.
NiteQueen13: No, she'd know it's true love and not magic.
But the next sobered her instantly.
Howler101: Yes. She's human. What do they know of the werewolf world?
The reply was too shrewd for Genna's liking. "Oh crap," she murmured. Was there a chance Howler101 was a wolf?  'And what do you experts think?? Is it magic or something more?'
Howler101: It's never magic. Bonding, imprinting, mating, whatever it gets called, it's a primal, natural, true attraction.
NiteQueen13: It's love, love, love.
"It's scary, scary, scary," Genna sang as her fingers tapped away. 'So it wouldn't be very realistic if my human decides to walk away and not get involved? Or would the bond drive her back to him anyway?'
Howler101: Wolf or human, neither of them are slaves to the bond, both could walk away, but it would be extremely difficult.
NiteQueen13: Don't write a sad ending, pleeeeaaase!! Good luck with your book. Bye!
Genna shied away from the screen as NiteQueen13 vanished into internet space. Now it was just her and Howler101. The sudden intimacy made her want to slam her laptop shut and dive under the duvet. If Howler101 was a wolf, would he somehow sense she was a human dealing with this in reality?
Howler101: Do you think your wolf is going to tell the human they're mates?
Genna's fingers slowly reached out. 'Not sure yet'.
Howler101: Maybe the human should tell him she knows.
Pen2Paper: Maybe . . .
Howler101: Do you think he wants her to know?
"I'm supposed to be asking the questions." Genna sat up with renewed vigour. 'What do you think? What would be realistic?'
Howler101: I think because she's had such a hard time dealing with him being a wolf in the first place, he might be giving her some space before delivering that news.
Genna hadn't considered that idea until now. Maybe Michael was purposely keeping his distance. 'Should she tell him she knows, or is there some wolf law thing that means he'd be insulted if she told him she knew before he got to say it?'
Howler101: Yes, she should tell him and no, no wolf law thing. You need to do more research!
Pen2Paper: I've tried, but it's hard to wade through. I'm not sure what's real and what's not. "Crap!" Genna slapped her hands over her mouth as if she'd said the words instead of typing them. 'Some of the stuff I read sounds too made up, I want to be sure my story is believable, even though I know it's all fantasy,' she typed frantically. "Crap," she whispered again. "You idiot, Clancy!"
Howler101: Any facts in particular you want verified?
 "Oh god," she moaned at his reply. 'Think I've got enough to keep me going for now!'

Howler101 listed three writers and said goodbye. Genna logged off, shut down her laptop, slammed it closed and slid it back under her bed. "Clancy, you idiot," she moaned, grabbing a pillow to squash it over her face. Howler101 wouldn't have any idea of who she was, or where she was, would he? "No!" her muffled voice replied. "He's probably some nine year-old kid. Stop freaking out!"
Genna flung her pillow across the room and sat up. She needed to get a grip. There was only one person who could answer her questions, and pretending otherwise was getting her nowhere but into a deeper mess of frustration.
