As evening arrived, I reached the mountain path. The poor illumination had made me slow my pace, so I tried activating Mana sight to see if it could help me like it did inside the Dungeon. The result was way better than I imagined! All plants in the forest were full of mana, giving out a beautiful green aura, while the earth and stones in the way gave out a light brown aura. It was like everything around me had suddenly gotten a bright cover of light, enabling me to run through the forest as fast as I did during the day.
Picking up my pace I soon arrived at a huge black zone.
"What is this??"
Turning off the Mana Sight, I saw a dozen wolf corpses laying around.
"What!? They were attacked!?"
Instead of panicking, I investigated the scene carefully and reached the conclusion.
"Hmm, it seem these wolves attacked them but they were able to fight back. Considering there are no signs of graves and no elf and human corpses here, so they should be fine..."
Or they took the corpses, but I don't want to believe in this one so I refuse to say it out loud...
OK, let's proceed slowly, who knows if there are other wolves waiting for a free meal...
By the time my speed buff was over I finally reached the cave entrance. Inside awaited me a huge group of elves and humans.
Instead of taking my time to talk to them, I thought it was better to just show them the way. Speeches can be left for later, what these folks was a place to rest. 
"Building Mode."
Instead of making everybody pass through the trapdoor, I made a bigger entrance so they could pass with all their baggage, carts and horses included.
"Hey Plate!"
"Hello Bia. Are these all your people?"
"Actually no, but most of them. Because of the elves help we were able take most our things this time, now all that's let is convince the hard headed old folk to came with us."
"Oh...sounds like a pain..."
"Tell me about it... each one is tougher than the next. Those people are so resolute in staying that I'm starting to doubt if even the orcs will be able to take them out."
"Hahaha, how great it would be if such a thing was true. An army of a thousand Orcs defeated by a dozen of old folks."
"Sounds like a plan! Hahahaha"
"I saw a bunch of dead wolves in the mountain path..."
"Oh, those! Jack and co. dealt with them."
"Was anyone hurt? No deaths?"
"No deaths, a few were hurt. There was a clown who got bitten in the ass, can you believe it?"

"Yeah. And when Leticia was applying cure on him, Josh saw the scene and beat the guy up."

After taking right at the farming camp, I reached the refugees camp but seeing how full it already was, I decided it was time to expand it.
"Bia, wait here will all your village folks, after I finish expanding this place I will come back to make some space to you."
Expanding the elves camp was quite easy as I was already used to the task, in a less than an hour I multiplied it's size and left it ready to be used.
"Stone, good night."
"Good night Plate, what's up?"
"Two things, first, as you can see, there is a bunch of new elves for you to take care of. Second one, they left a bunch of dead wolves in the mountain path, I want you to organize a team and bring those corpses to the dungeon asap."
"Damn Plate, you just said it's already night time and you want me to go out!?"
"That's why you should hurry. The faster you finish it, the lower the chance their smell will attract more wolves here. We are already being hunted by orcs, we don't need wolves joining them."
"Sigh...all right."
"Make sure to explain the rules to the newcomers as well."
"Suuuuure...."
Now that we had concluded all our tasks here, it was time to make the human`s refugee camp.
"Hey Bia, I'm back."
"Plate, welcome back."
"So, what do you guys need for your camp?"
"What do we need? Hmm.... What do you mean?"
"For the elves, for example, I made a dozen private toilets, there are pillars with hooks so they can setup their hammocks, and I also made a big fountain where they can fetch water."

Maybe I should install some pillars on the Princess Room, she should be feeling uncomfortable with the stone bed...
"Plate, this place is incredible! Maybe I should consider moving permanently to here..."
"Hehe, thanks but please don't. You boyfriend will kill me."
"Hmm...You are right, he probably will..."
Just then Stone arrived, bringing good news.
"Plate, all wolves were brought over, do you want to see them?"
"No need. Take what you need and just let the Dungeon do it's job."
"Eh!? You want the Dungeon to devour them?"
"Yes, I need some Mana to fulfill a promise and those wolves would be perfect!"
"Hmm... all right, then I will just take the pelts..."
"Hey hey! Can I have the meat!?"
"Plate, who is the lady?"

With everything decided, I went back to the first floor to meet the kids.

So I left the kids while they started discussing what they wanted to have, meanwhile no one noticed the boy's hair was slowly rising up as if it was alive.

One day I woke up inside a cave.
There were luminous crystals in the walls, one huge crystal in the center of the room and a collapsed tunnel leading to God only knows where.
I tried digging the entrance but human hands are not exactly the best tools for digging and there were no other tools around, so after a few hours of useless efforts I gave up.
Time passed and nothing changed, but instead of getting weaker and weaker with the passing of the time, I got stronger. I felt no hunger, no thirst, I didn't even get sleepy.
"Can somebody tell me what the heck is going on!?"
And then, I got the answer.

After that incident happen on that small human town, one month has passed I really don`t step my foot on that cursed land after that, I heard from the Batibats that they even started making a statue of me, and what`s worse than the statue you asked?! Those fools made a shrine for me, and the worse of the worse you asked?! the Mayor and the the Bandit leader become priest and start the town`s own religion and the one the worship is you asked!? It`s me! Unholy Gods out there help me bring judgement to those abominations! I am a former Demon Lord! not a God!
Anyway let`s forget that god damn town for now, every time I remember that town it gives me shiver, so rather than that, a few weeks ago I perfected making a soy sauce and also the cheese and butters! We also harvested wheat and rice now! hooray! now we have bread and rice in our table every time we eat, but we have a problem now, few of our Abyssal Wolves are now over weight because they eat too much.
Of course I make a remedy, I limit their food supply and make them hunt small animals, of course I forbid them using their Space Magic when they hunt, it`s a good magic but this is their training to be slim and look dashing, I don`t want them to look like house pets after all.
Then one day few Serpentine Snakes find a flower seed, I don`t know what kind of flower is that but it`s glowing and beautiful, even at night, so we simply call it glow flower, the girls fell in love to this flower and make a small garden near their houses, and by the looks of it it`s easy to take care of, you just need to water it ones a day and it`s good to go.
We it`s not so bad, it`s great for our little town after all, oh and Marina`s race changing magic is complete, not to mention her undead magic! now she is focusing on different kind of magic, of course the other girls also want to learn, and I let them occupy few of the rooms on the dungeon for their magic learning.
And me? What am I doing right now? Nothing! Absolutely nothing! So I call the little pup to accompany in my little adventure in the forest, since I got really bored, we should make a lake also, I think those water wells would be enough water source, we used water too much after all, and the Serpentine Snakes love to stay in water and I just found out that Marina is from the Water Spirit tribe so a lake would be great for her.
After the little pup and I leave the town we decide to rest near the river stream away from the town, I am planning on taking a morning nap here, as a lich I could choose not to sleep but I also have a fully functional body now, although I am still a lich I can sleep or do whatever I want.
I don`t know why but the three worlds in my dreams is slowly fading, and become a distant memory of mine, they are not like the first weeks when I got here that every time I close my eyes I saw that nightmare, maybe this peaceful life truly is changing me, and because of that I enjoy life more and more.
Now that I think about it, that world is truly fucked up since the beginning, rulers they want to conquer all the time not like here that we mind our own business.
I am relaxing for about ten minutes but unholy god! there is this annoying sound of herds, although the sounds look liked it`s a small group of herd it still destroy my great mood.
"Little pup, check that annoying sound, if it`s a cow herds again shooo them away." I said and the little pup lead to the forest, after a few minutes to sound is gone, and I again close my eyes, let me rephrase that suppose to close my eyes, for goodness and the badness` sake! why can`t this forest let me sleep more? did I do something in this forest?!
The was that, this stupid little pup now carrying a humanoid beings, oh cursed gods! why did you take this Little Pup`s little sane mind?! now he even kill a humanoid children! I always told them to only hunt animals! not humanoid beings! even us will not eat that, although some demons will, those creatures are just bottom feeders! those demons are lowest of the low! and we don`t have that in my people!
"Little pup, what did I tell you? I always told you and the minokawa that don`t hunt humanoid creatures right?" I said and Little Pups tail fall down and put down the girl, she`s alive though, she`s fair white and has a long ear... and Elf!
"Is this the one making that annoying sound?" I said, because if that little girl did that I will throw her at the river and feed her to the fishes! luckily this little pup shook his head. "Being chased?" I said now he nod, this little elf probably lost consciousness because she is exhausted and she probably get scared by the wolf, I don`t know why they fear this Abyssal Wolves race, they are lovely and cute, and a great pet!
"You don`t attack this little girl right?" I said and the little pup nod multiple times and I nod also then heal the bruises and the relax the girls mind, then then little pup lay down on the grass, of course I lay my head on the little pup`s fur and let the wind blow my face and lullabied buy the sound of the river and the birds, right now I don`t give shit about the world, the world can be destroyed again for all I care but no one must disturb my sleep!
After a few hours of my sleep I finally waked up and saw the elven little girl struggling to lift the little pup`s tail, is elves so weak to even raise this little pup`s tail? I wonder.
"The Little Pup`s tail is not that delicate you know, why are you struggling to lift it up and his a good boy." I said and the little pup waked up and look at the little girl lifting his tail, now the little girl`s face lost it`s color.
"His not that scary you know." I said and help her lift the tail up, and now she`s not moving, by any chance, is elves in this crazy? they get scared so easy, or maybe they don`t know how to fight? "Uhm... Mister are you not scared to the Abyssal Wolf?" The Little Girl asked. I look at the little pup`s wondering how in the hell can he become scary? His obedient and loyal, not to mention adorable at fault.
"His not that scary you know, rather his kinda cute, a little bit oversized but other than that, his not scary." I said and the little pup stand and slash his paw to the water and get a fish. See! his even helpful! now I don`t need to find something to eat, I simply get my sword and slash the three and make a stick for the fish, after I finish gutting the fish I start grilling the fish of course we bought seasonings, then I look at the girl, oh shit! she`s and elf after all, they are herbivore.
"Oh, I`m sorry little elf, I forgot you don`t eat meat." I said and the little girl shook her head. "We elves eat meat." She said, now that`s new, I remember in the three worlds that this creature only eat leaf, but I guess living in Abyss Forest change their diet, after all eating meat is better than searching for edible plants in this forest.
"Okay, then that`s great! here have some!" I said and cut a piece from the gigantic fish, I don`t know why but everything in Abyss Forest is overgrown, maybe this place has some magical property that make creatures get bigger than their usual size? I should research that after I get back, I don`t want to be a giant after all.
After we finish eating I stand where I am sitting and look at the girl. "I`ll escort you home, after all it`s a little bit dangerous for a little girl like you wondering around the forest." I said and hop up on the wolf, and the girl start walking, the hell is her problem?!
"You could ride here alone, it`s tiring walking around after all!" I said and lend her my hand, she hesitated a little bit but in the end she grab my hand and I pull her up and make her sit in front of me. "Now tell me, what direction is your home." I said and the girl pointed the north side, so I nod and order the little pup to go there, soon we reach a little settlement of elves, and this pointed ear creature pointed their arrow on us ready to attack, so I raised my hand.
I am an advocate of peace after all, I don`t want to start a mess if it`s not really necessary. 
"Hold on, elven warrior, we are simply here to send back this little girl home!" I said and I carry the little girl down and look at the elves. "So since I am done escorting you here, we need to go, after all I don`t want to travel at night." I said but the little girl tugged my pants.
"Please, I want to thank you." She said and I look at the Abyssal Wolf, and those elven warriors are ready so turn us to porcupine after all. "It`s fine by me, but how can you do that?" I asked, by the looks of the elven settlement it`s not that rich, they would probably give us some food or something, but anything new is great!
"Please, My savior, follow me." She said and she make a hand signal and the elven warrior put their bow down, and open the wooden gate.
Well then, let`s see what the elven settlement looked like in the inside!

He who Destroyed all demons become a demon. He who destroyed all gods become a god, He who Devour all creation laydown on the center three barren world, with nothing to destroy, with nothing to do, and an exhausted body, in his dying breath he closed his eyes and finally take his rest. Or what suppose to happen, by some twisted fate Sauron open his eyes one more time, but in different body or should I say different skeleton, Sauron suddenly waked up as a Lich, but not any Lich but a Supreme Lich who rule a dungeon.

It has been 15 since I was born and brought into the tower by that strange creature. The creature has been, for the past 15 years, been teaching me multiple things. At first, he taught me just the fundamental things, such as speech. Then he moved on to math and other things like that.
He explained to me many things about the world, like food, liquid, and species. He explained that I am a slime, he is a human and that 4-legged creature I ate before was a wolf.
By myself, however, I had developed my transformation powers and I am now able to easily control my body and can imitate any creature I see, and I can make it even more convincing if I cover a creature and examine it. Because of 15 years of practice, I have created a human transformation that is indistinguishable from regular humans.
Because I am a monster, the human (he explained the system of names) named Merlin Dumieres was wary of me during the first year or so, but after I lived normally for a while, he got used to me. He lately has taken such a liking to me he says he considers me his own son. He tells me to call him father as well... lately, I have started to think humans are strange.
Anyway, because I had gotten so good at acting human, for the past few years Merlin has started teaching me about the concept of magic. Apparently, humans and rare monsters can use supernatural means to control the elements of fire, water, earth, and air. During the last century, humans have developed and discovered many other types that branch off of and combine different elements, such as smoke and acid.
I am able to use the very weak magic of creation and communication. Because I am a slime, I am able to create anything that comes to mind if I have the materials (the acid that slimes use to break down food doesn't use anything, as well as other liquids) and I can communicate with others for long distances. 
He has had me practice hunting wolves in the forest and over the years I have gotten really good at using my magic to fight. I have also learned swordsmanship because of Merlin's friend, Sabir Ambers. His training is hard, but recently I can almost beat him. 
Sabir uses fire magic and his strategy is to cover his sword in flames. When he attacks, he controls his flames so they attack his enemy along with him. It is hard to deal with those, but I can create water so that the flames evaporate and can't hurt me. 
Every once in a while, I go to the forest to collect fruits and plants. "We need to have a balanced diet," Merlin told me. My favorite food is apples. 
But one day, Merlin just casually said, "Oh yeah, Did you know that next week you have school, right?" 
"I'm sorry, WHAT?!"

The main character wakes up. He moves around, eats, and grows bigger until being carried out of his forest by a new, unfamiliar creature. This is a story about a slime learning how to be a human.

Colin had a surprise when they reached Red Valley Comrade Home. The Chief Breeder there was a guy. Not just a 'guy' Breeder, but a bald guy breeder.
     "Satrox. Here to collect the Crimson Condors?" he smiled over his glasses. He stroked his long, narrow moustache.
     "Of course." Satrox said. "Pan, this is Colin. Do you have any good deals for him?"
     Pan observed Colin through his glasses and said, "Don't have much Home Points to spend, do you… hmm… and not much Clira either."
     Colin frowned. He had been doing a good many jobs and collected over a hundred Home Points so far, and almost twenty thousand Clira in total. Pan, though, didn't seem to think that was much.
     "Come in, come in." Pan said, gesturing them on. "Colin, the Comrades you're looking for are in the inner rings."
     Comrade Homes kept their Tames in a zoo-like circle with the weakest in the center and the strongest in the outer rings. Colin felt a bit miffed that he was being told to look at the small fry…
     "Huh?!" He stared.
     Staring back at him at the very innermost circle was a pair of Growly Bears. Next door were a trio of Red Panthers. 
     {THIS is their weakest?! They're both 7-Stage types!}
     "What's your theme?" Pan called, as he and Satrox headed farther and farther up the outer rings.
     "A theme?" Colin blinked.
     "Something your Comrades have in common." Satrox explained. "Mine used to be Lynxmice. Now, it's 'feathered flight'. What's yours?"
     Colin looked over them. A wolfcat, a wolf, a cat, and a bird.
     Shiro, Raiki, Kirin and Sonia exchanged glances.
     "They all eat fish!" Colin called back, remembering. All the Comrades he'd ever bonded had that in common.
     "Not good enough! That's just a matter of diet! Colin, you're going to have to leave the odd one out and find Comrades similar to Shiro. Find canines or felines – dogs, wolves, and cats. The more similar to him, the better!"
     Kirin shook her head. The other three exchanged glances again.
     Colin let out a quick breath. "Well, do you have wolfcats here?!"
     "Yip!" Shiro jumped up, eyes shining.
     Pan stopped altogether. He turned to Colin. "We have a few Mountain Wolfcats, but they're not for a Yellow Badge carrying less than fifty thousand Clira!"
     Colin winced. "Not even a cub?"
     "I {was} talking about the cubs."
     "You might be able to find some cheaper elsewhere." Satrox told him. "Pan's prices are notoriously expensive!"
     "And our services are top notch!" Pan added at once.
     "That's true." Satrox had to admit. "Look, if you want Mountain Wolfcats, try Granath!"
Pan let out a scornful sound.
     "So… why am I here again?" Colin asked.
     "You're here because you wanted new Comrades and this is the only stop I'm going to make before we go to battle." Satrox told him. "And I'm not letting you out of my sight until the Frenzieds are cleared up!"
     "Oh." Colin subsided. {In other words, it's here or nothing.}
     "Here you go." Pan was saying to Satrox, so far away, Colin could barely make it out. "One male, one female, both a bit past level 40. Almost to their 4th Stage, so you're getting a really good deal here."
     "I've already paid for them, Pan. I know what they're worth. You don't need to use the sales pitch on me."
     "I like to keep in practice."
     Colin examined the Red Panthers to his right. They reminded him of Fireheart, whom he gave to Katrin last night. Then he studied the Growly Bear in front of him again, remembering Gera and Rall, both bears also given to Katrin.
     {Any other options…?}
     There were two plant-types to the left, and a white-and-brown weasel after. {No way. Katrin's going to remember Streak every time she sees another Woodstreak Weasel. I don't want to put her through that.}
     To the right, there was a blue alligator with a flat back, followed by a big turtle with a transparent shell and a zebra-striped seal. Water creatures… none would suit.
     Behind him were Mousebirds, according to the label. Next to it on one side were four Fisherbirds, and on the other side, a single Red Heron.
     All their labels said 7-S. Colin hadn't noticed that before, but now he realized what they meant. These Tames were all capable of reaching 7th Stage.
     All were priced between ten to twelve thousand Clira.
     {I can afford better.} Colin went to the next ring.
     More 7-Stage Comrades, just a bit higher in price. Two-tailed squirrels, yellow foxes…
     {Nope. Katrin will remember she once had a Two-Tailed Squirrel as well. And if I took a fox, it might get mixed up with Foxtrot's Comrades. Everything else here doesn't come close to wolfcats.}
     Colin did stop by a curious Tame, though. It looked like a book with a helicopter's propellers on it. The Helibook was priced at fifteen thousand, also a 7-Stage type.
     {Nothing suitable here. Next ring.}
     And here, Colin had to wince. The third ring had more 7-Stage Comrades, but these were priced high enough to clear out most of his Clira. {That Desert Wolf cub looks suitable… but I can barely afford it. If I buy that one, I won't be able to afford food for my Comrades, and who knows when I'll be free to do missions again?}
     "What are you looking at?" Satrox was suddenly right behind him. "Ah. That one looks suitable."
     "Too expensive." Colin said, gloomily.
     "Hey, Pan! Can you give him a discount?" Satrox called.
     Pan came over and took a look. He frowned, and stroked his moustache, and said, "Hmm."
     "Well?" Satrox prodded him. "I did just spend a lot on those two Condors."
     "I'll lower the price to seventeen thousand." Pan offered.
     Colin looked at Satrox. 
     "You can get it for cheaper at Hot Springs Comrade Home." Satrox told him. "Less than fifteen thousand. But you won't be able to get it tonight."
     "Sixteen thousand, then." Pan cut in. "And that's as good as it gets. Take it or leave it."
     Colin scanned the cub.

     "Front line defender." Satrox said, surprised. "He's got staying power against earth-type attacks, and he uses less MP in his techniques."
     "What's this about Pack Instinct?" Colin asked.
     "They work better in canine squads." Satrox explained. "I think your Sonic Wolf there shares the same trait. You should team them together."
     "Well? Are you taking him?" Pan asked.
     "Yeah." Colin said after a moment of consideration. He turned to his new Comrade. "What's your name?"
     The Desert Wolf sat there and gave Colin a flat look.
     "He doesn't have a name until his Dreamer gives him one." Pan pointed out.
     "But usually they're able to make some sound, right? That's how I'd figure out a name." Colin said.
     Satrox shook his head. "That's not good, Colin. Imagine what would happen if everyone does that in the real world. All the humans would be named 'waa'."
     Colin shivered. "Good point. Well, what shall we name him?"
     "What do you {want} to name him? He seems to be the strong-and-silent type, so far. You can try to name him based on what he does, or what he seems like to you, or you can name him based on what you want him to be."
     Colin remembered. He'd named his first Red Panther 'Fireheart' because of the fiery spirit she showed him. Sonia too, was named for her Sonic abilities. Kirin did make a 'kirr' sound, but her name meant either 'giraffe' or 'poet', depending on which language you looked at. Larissa said that 'poet' was a nice name for a swan.
     Shiro and Raiki were named by Michi before he ever met them. Colin wondered what they meant.
     "He's fast, for a defense type. Name him Fai Ti." Pan suggested.
     "Huh? What does that mean?" Colin blinked.
     "One word names, please." Satrox poked Pan. "Comrades' surnames take after their Dreamer's first names."
     "What?!" Colin jumped. "Then Shiro would be…"
     "Shiro Colins." Satrox answered. "And so on."
     Colin gulped. "Doesn't 'Kirin Colins' sound a bit funny?"
     "It does." Satrox agreed. "But people don't usually use Comrade Surnames, so it shouldn't matter. It's the Comrade Homes that use them to keep track of whose Comrade is whose. Just focus on the Comrade's name for now."
     Colin sat down in front of the Desert Wolf and sighed. "I'm going to send you to find one of the hardest things to find on Nakama World. You're tough, and you won't be alone, but you're likely to spend a lot of time searching. Your name is Pilgrim."
     "Junrei." Satrox whispered, as if remembering something.
     "What?" Colin blinked.
     "Nothing… it's just… the word for 'Pilgrim' in a different language. The same language that Shiro is named in."
     "Junrei?" Colin turned to the Desert Wolf.
     The Desert Wolf shrugged.
     "Junrei, then. Nice to meet you."

In Dreamworlds, a telepathic network where billions of dreamers share their dreams, a freak accident steals a boy away from his family for several hours. 13 year old Colin awakes with no memory of those hours, but in Dreamworlds, the scars he still bears prove that something had happened.

His father brings him and a select group of friends to a new Dreamworld the very next night - the one Dreamworld in all the Network that allowed children to roam free, obtain a sort of power, and face the responsibilities involved. A Dreamworld where children Travel with and care for animal Comrades, a Dreamworld meant for children to grow and mature without parents looking over their shoulders all the time.

There Colin explores friendship like he never had before... and finds that it could be the only thing he could count on to protect him.

CHAPTER 3 - LEARNING

Over a week had passed since Lucan decided to informally adopt Set. There were a few things that they had learned about Set. He could not eat normal human food. Any attempt would immediately be rejected by his body, causing him to throw it all up. The only monsters that appeared near the cabin were wolves, which limited his core diet immensely. Normal animals did exist in this world, but they were devoid of any mana, unable to form any cores.

"Aaaa, normally you wait a few more years before you start teaching your child how to read and write I think. But you seem to understand me pretty well after a week already." Lucan scratched his head and looked at Set.

Set stared at Lucan with curious eyes. Every day for a week, Lucan had gone out to hunt lesser wolves for their cores. What drove this man to work so hard every day just to feed a random stranger? Don't give him the 'anyone would have done it' crap, surely abandoned kids existed in this world too? Just how much responsibility is a kid? Even if Set was a rare exception, the fact of the matter was that it was an extra stomach to feed.

Lucan pulled out a red book and a quill pen and placed it on the floor next to Set. "Here, I bought this for you". The book contained unrecognizable symbols that Set could barely make out but he could still tell that it was a book meant for kids to learn how to read. Lucan sat right behind Set and pointed to a word, "This word means…"

Two years had passed by quietly. Every day, Set was fully immersed into learning how to read the symbols in the book. After all, there wasn't much for him to do around the house. Any other kid would be bored out of their mind, but Set knew he needed to find a way to grow his body. Who would be completely fine turning from a full-blown adult to a baby? The only clue he had was the green crystal that came from that direwolf. When he had first woken up in this world, he could not move at all. After he ate the direwolf core however, his body was strong enough to start walking. With his daily diet of lesser wolf cores, he was able to fully sprint without worry. The only conclusion was that cores would improve his body.

Lucan opened his pouch and took out a small dagger in its sheath. It was a wide straight blade made of iron with the grip wrapped in direwolf leather.

"Happy birthday, Set." Lucan smiled and presented the dagger in his hands.

Set grabbed the dagger and let it rest on his hands. It was light for its size but it was very heavy for Set to hold with one hand.

"Are you finally going to teach me how to hunt now?" He looked up at Lucan. As soon as Set could start talking, he constantly begged Lucan to teach him how to kill monsters, but each time he would get shot down with a long lecture of how it wasn't a game and to wait a little longer.

Lucan sighed. "Fine. But you have to remember, this is not a-" 

"A game." Set cut him off. "You've told me this a million times already, It's not like I have a death wish. I've thought this through." 

At least, that's what he thought until he was currently staring at a lesser wolf right in the face. Sweat poured out of his hands. His legs trembled violently. He clutched the dagger tightly and held it in front of him with both hands.

"Where's all the big boy talk now?" Lucan smirked.

"Sh-shut up!" Set stammered. Even if he knew that Lucan would save him if he was in trouble, it was his first ever battle.

Okay, breathe... This isn't even 10% of that direwolf. Every animal should have the usual weak spots.

Set lunged forward in an instant to strike at the wolf's eye.

"Too wide! A smart opponent would have already stabbed you 10 times." Lucan criticized Set's movement.

The lesser wolf lunged in to bite at Set's side. He had already anticipated this and jumped back in response.

"Good! Anticipate your opponent's moves. Don't ever rely on your reaction time to dodge your opponent's moves." Lucan nodded in approval.

Set lunged in a second time, careful to not leave any openings. Unfortunately, the wolf was faster and lunged first, biting at Set's arm.

"Shit!" Lucan rushed forward in order to stop the wolf but it was too late. The wolf had already bit down on Set's arm.

To its surprise, every single tooth that had bit down on Set broke off. Shards of teeth flew out and littered the floor. The wolf, confused and in pain, tried to run away but it was too late. Set had stabbed the dagger straight through its brain.

"Kid… just what kind of insane method was that?" Lucan facepalmed and walked over to Set to examine his arm. "Not even a scratch mark…" He sighed. "In any case, congratulations on your first kill, now I can teach you how to skin it."

Set was also extremely confused. Had the wolf cores really strengthened his body this much? He dusted himself off and kneeled over the wolf. With Lucan's instructions, he was able to skin and collect the core of the wolf in just a little over a minute.

"You're halfway there to being an adventurer already!" An adventurer at 3 years old… Who would believe it?

"Can I learn how to shoot out fire like you did?" Set recalled back to the time when the burst of flame soared through the wind, saving him.

"Before I teach you this, you must promise me that you will not use this to harm anyone undeserving." It wasn't as if Lucan didn't trust Set, but this was the universal promise that was put on anyone who officially trained in magic.

"I promise." Set affirmed. Going out of his way to hurt innocent people would only make him become like the assholes who framed him.

"Very well." Lucan nodded. "Mana is an element that exists in practically every corner of this world. Whenever someone casts a spell, they are essentially 'borrowing this world's power'. People who can cast spells are born with meridians in the body, which can absorb the mana flowing around them. With daily usage, these meridians become increasingly large, allowing the caster to generate more powerful spells."

Set listened to the lecture and closed his eyes. He focused his body and could feel the mana flowing around him. It was comparable to a warm bath. 

Lucan continued his lecture. "Every person is different in the elemental affinities that their bodies have. The element that you have the most affinity with is the one that is going to be the most powerful out of all your spells. This can be tested extremely easy with an affinity stone." He opened his pouch and tossed Set an affinity stone. "Try to feel the mana flowing inside you and slowly send it into the stone until it is full. This will tell you your most powerful affinity."

Set took the stone and closed his eyes. He slowly sent the mana into the stone, just tiny wisps at a time. He opened his eyes as soon as he felt the stone was full, excited to see the results.

All of a sudden, the stone broke.

"Kid! What did you do?!" Lucan grabbed the stone and could see a crack right down the middle.

"I did exactly what you said! I slowly sent mana into the stone until it was full!" Set looked down apologetically. 

"Ugh" Lucan groaned in irritation. "Well, whatever, let's test to see if you can cast the spell, hold out your hand and focus all the mana into your palm. Mentally visualize the spell being cast."

Set stood up and held out his hand, with the other holding it up. He imagined the mana pooling in his hands and visualized a flame bolt shooting out. All of a sudden, he could feel intense heat on the left side of his chest, where his heart would be. The heat traveled through his arms and went straight out his palm, exploding a tree into bits.

Relegated from the top to the very bottom of the social ladder, there was no light at the end of the tunnel. With no time to think, a glowing stone pierces Set's chest and transports him to another world. Treading the thin line between human and monster, Set must figure out where he belongs in this world before the inevitable calamity.

Today for the first time we left the cave, my brothers were very curious and playful.
On the other hand, I was more interested in investigating the environment near the cave and looking for things that would help me improve the intensity and quality of our training.
They did not let me get away more than 60 meters from the cave, the 11 female wolves including Natalie separated into groups and followed us closely without wanting to lose sight of us.
It seems that even in its own territory this pack is very careful with its cubs, it does not surprise me since such a large bear could easily come on a whim and kill the cubs.
They must be more worried even after Antonio took the wolves out to hunt, the bear's corpse may seem big but it will soon be over, the wolves did not want to waste anything and ate to their heart's content this week.
They are very big and strong wolves that is why they need more food than an ordinary wolf would need, since the environment in which we live is very dangerous, causing wolves that would normally be super predators to fight their title with other animals.
I hope they finish soon, I do not know how long we can survive without the main group of hunting and defending the herd, they will return every few days but I would prefer that they stay as long as possible to avoid problems.
This forest has few things that I can use as training tools, I could use the elechos as ropes if I do due process, I should also learn to climb trees.
I should train the muscles of the waist, so that the natural weakness of the wolf is not so strong in me.
The bear killed that wolf by hitting him near the waist, and although these wolves are stronger and bigger than the ones I know, I think they still have the same weakness.
To improve my body as soon as possible I must train daily, but I must also start improving my diet.
Ready, here would be my list, first objects that I can use as tools to train, then find a source of safe meat, and finally I will make a tombstone for the dead wolf, they already buried him but I would like to thank you by making a tombstone.
Knowing my goals for the day, I am about to collect some branches of ferns.
Then I chose some stones that I could leave on top of the fern branches to be able to braid them, the process of braiding the rope was very difficult and slow.
It took a long hour but I was able to make a braided rope of fern branches the size of my body.
Another two hours later I had learned how to make the rope, it was long enough to make a pulley hanging from a tree but I would rather make the rope one size larger.
Bend the rope and put it around my neck, I want to wait until tomorrow to make the rope longer, I will start looking for things that I can use to train and we will see if I find what to eat.
I could only find rocks and more ferns, there are no things that can improve my diet, can my body let me use plants and mushrooms as a source of nutrition?
There aren't even ants near here, but there is a river further out than the female wolves let me go.
It seems that I can only steal some meat the next time Antonio brings prey for the herd, I thought I would have a chance to try to hunt.
I started picking up some stones and piling them up where they buried the dead wolf, rock by rock, over and over again before I knew it my brothers and the female wolves nearby were also placing rocks on the ground where they buried to the dead wolf.
The female wolf that cried to the wolf before now looks at me with gratitude, little by little I realize that they are not only "animals", it seems that they are much more evolved than I thought.
After placing and arranging the stones on the wolf's grave, I walked away in silence, I rested for a while before continuing to make the rope longer.
After two more hours, the rope was long enough to be able to make a comfortable pulley to do weight training, my body is very small and weak so I will start with some rocks that do not demand too much from my body, I cannot risk permanently injure my muscles.
Here no doctor or surgeon could help me restore my muscles, so it would be better if I let my body get used to gradually improving and conditioning my body.
I am too tired from everything I did today so tomorrow I will try to use it, I cannot let my brothers try to do this exercise, they could be disabled for life where they do it wrong, so I left the pulley in a more remote place.
I will start climbing trees and teach you how to do it.
