Leveling- leveling is an easy one to explain, if the task requires a certain amount of effort then you gain experience, which leads to levels, it can be as simple as running to as dangerous as fighting a dragon.

Evolution- evolution is as it sounds it is when a being evolves, to evolve you must either reach max level for your species or meet special requirements, the evolution will differ depending on your method of reaching it, someone intelligent will become more intelligent while someone strong will become stronger.

Blessings- these are unique to humans and their evolutions, this is something someone may receive at birth, it is an alteration in a person that gives them either abnormal stats, a rare ability, or are born already evolved.

Monsters- monsters are animals that have evolved. all monsters evolve from common animals from the smallest insects to the largest mammals, through rare occasions even plants can evolve.

Demons- demons are monsters that have evolved to have human-like intelligence and are able to hold a conversation.

Abilities- abilities are similar to skills or magic  they are action that one can perform that are scientifically impossible, like creating a ball of fire, or being able to phase through an object.

Race- race refers to ones current form like a monster may be a wolf but it's race may be hellhound or barghest.

Original Species- a creature's original species is what species that creature was, like a basilisk's original species is a snake.

In a fantasy world where evolution and levels thought to be parts of a video game are very much real.

The story revolves around Vrunwulf and his rise to what history remembers him as, the winter knight.

This is my first story on here and hopefully not my only one.

It's been 5 years.
No, 5 years 2 months and 13 days to be exact since the outbreak that changed the world. It turned my world upside-down. Everything was is chaos. Not just my world but the world in general. All it took was an incompetent Lab technician to make a whole new species. No one knew how he managed to do just that, but he had made a very large batch of vaccine infected with wolf DNA.
Soon there were half human half wolf monstrosities roaming around everywhere. The First 2 years were the worst, but the human, is a very adaptable species that managed to control the outbreak and thus now humans and half-wolf people lived side by side. I would like to say that we lived in peace but I would be lying.
Both the species always fought on a single aspect who was superior. Humans claimed that they were  superior because they were pure and controlled, but the Lupines also made a very good argument that they were superior as they were stronger in both senses especially since they have qualities from both the species. 5 years down the line now we are now civilized with each other.
As the incident happened in one of the largest biotech labs in the world so people blamed them for the most of it. As a goodwill gesture they decided to build an institution for both the Lupines and Humans to study each other and also show unity. The people who got into the institute were elite from both the species. It was after all still in an experimental stage.
We are fortunate or more like unfortunate ones who would be attending the Institute and by 'we' I mean my twin brother and I. The whole institute sounded like a high school all over again. Even after such a huge pandemic high school refuses to leave me alone. I was a sophomore when this happened. I hated high school back then, and I hate the whole idea of this ridiculous institute even more.
"Vivian!" My mom snapped from the passenger seat in the front.
"Yes?" I asked bored.
"Are you even listening to me?"
"The only reason I have earphones on is so that I can avoid listening to you."
"Vivian, you ungrateful child. You are lucky to be going to the institute."
"The only reason that institute is standing is because you failed to hire the right candidates for your labs!" I snapped irritated.
I put my earphones on so I could ignore her yet again. I looked at Seb he was sleeping. Why wouldn't she be explaining it to him again? Oh, right because he was the golden child. He wouldn't do anything wrong.
I was nervous. I missed Aiden. He was my moral compass. I had always been a rebel. He was the one who kept me grounded. The last I saw him was the night before the outbreak. We had given in to each other. That night had been special for both of us. Though we were connected to each other physically that night it brought us closer mentally.
My parents took us to our private island where I have been staying for the past 5 years. The only reason I agreed to come here was to find Aiden. I don't know what happened to him. My dad said he did everything he could to find him, but I know very well he is a liar.
I didn't know my hands were shaking until I felt someone hold them. I removed my earphones and looked at Seb.
"It's going to be all right," Seb said smiling.
Seb and I were like any other twins prior to the outbreak he was popular everyone loved him whereas I was someone people went out of there way to avoid. The highschool cliques stupidity had built a bridge between us. But during the last 5 years, we have grown closer. He was the one who kept me sane. Well, most of the time.
"We will find him don't worry" He whispered slowly so that only I could hear him. I smiled at him and looked out the window. I let a tear roll down my cheeks.
I was worried and nervous.
I had never seen a wolf person before. Sure I read articles and saw pictures of them but never had the opportunity to meet one in person. I was nervous, having read so much about them. I had contemplated the option that Aiden might be one of them now. So the research. Or I swear I wouldn't be caught doing all this research. Though there was not much, to begin with.
I had read quite a few novels on werewolves. And all of them made these monsters seem like heroes. 90% of them were Romance novels. I was really irritated at first, why would someone find love in animals. It was just ridiculous.
All of them had one thing in common. The girl got fascinated with its fur. It looked beautiful. They always had this need to touch them. Seriously?? The dude is covered in hair. Fur yes, but hair. How is that sexy? And the dude didn't even look human. Literally. How could anyone find that attractive? Teenagers I tell you.
I was lost in my world when I felt Seb nudge me. I looked at him to see he was looking outside the window. I tried getting closer to his window to see what was he looking at so intently. 
"Vi! Look through your own window" He said pushing me away.
I was about to reply when I saw what he was looking at. Suddenly I became conscious of the fact that we were driving on a bridge that led to a huge metal gate that resembled prison bars. There were huge men near the gate, who could only be described as warriors. I honestly don't know how else to describe them. 
One of them spoke with my dad in hushed tones. He dint gave any expression. Boy, will he win in poker. When I looked at the other guards they all had the same expression. Which was no expression at all, so he might not win the poker game after all. They were all very tall and bulky and stood straight as if guarding a castle.
Speaking of Castle as the prison bar gates opened we were driving on a path that led to an ancient and portentous looking castle.
Hold on a minute. Weren't we going to an institute and not visit some old king or something like that.
"Umm dad where are we?"
"Concordia" He said looking amazed.
I dont blame him the castle was beautifully made with white stones with intricate designs on many of them. It was vast and resplendent. I almost felt like I was teleported into medieval times and it was magical. 
"Concur what?"
"Not concur, idiot, Concordia, It is the name of the institute, it means unity. It was coined as it will be the place where both the species co-existed together in unity and harmony" Seb answered without looking at me. Probably taking in the ancient and seemingly Moorish entrance. 
"Well, Thank you google," I said rolling my eyes at him.
"I think I know what you want to ask. When we said that we will provide an institute for both the species to learn together we dint mean that we're going to build one. Besides Lupas choose this himself. We just provided money for the equipment and all. They did everythning."
"Who?" I asked confused again.
"The alpha. Lupas is the werewolf alpha. He is like their king. Honestly, Vi did you read anything at all." Seb said looking at me bored
"I am sorry I don't like algebra with alpha, beta, and gamma. I have never been good in maths" I said defending myself.
"Physics. You read alpha beta gamma in physics. They are radiation rays." Looking at me amused.
"Shut up! Show off" I dismissed him and decided to look at the people outside. I got of the car only to be suffocated to death. I couldn't breathe. My lungs were screaming for oxygen. I am sure I looked as blue as a smurf.

Vivian has always been kind of a rebel. She was always described as a spoilt brat of rich parents who always believed in going all out. She was outspoken and a colorful vocabulary that would put the pirates at shame. Aiden, her best friend cum boyfriend, was her only moral compass. He knew how to handle her and keep her grounded. 

The Lycan virus outbreak changed everything. It wrecked her. She lost him in the midst of this chaos. Being forced to go back to the institution was her only chance to find her lost love. She would do anything to find her love even if she had to start a war between the two species

Nicholas was a man of very few words. He preferred observing and listening rather that talk nonsense. He had always been ambitious and a stickler for rules. Orphaned at a very young age he knew he had to make a name for himself just to find a purpose and a position in life.

The Lycan virus outbreak changed everything. It saved him. He was now among the royals he had a purpose in life. Everything he ever wanted. He would do everything to keep a peace between the two species, even if he would have to kill a few people on the way.

Li Du said, "Ah Ow, come back, where are you going?"
Ah Ow ran into the forest and wriggled her nose. She did not care about anything else, only running forward.
Brother Wolf said, "Could it be that she found something?"
"Let's follow behind," Li Du frowned. Ah Ow was one of the more obedient animals amongst them. That could be related to the fact that she was female.
However, Li Du had called for her twice and Ah Ow still continued to run deeper into the forest. This suggested that it was not a simple matter of her discovering something. She must have found something very important.
Ah Ow ran speedily and it was tough for Li Du and the rest to keep up behind her. After more than ten minutes, Ah Ow stopped and started to pull at something at a weedy area.
Li Du walked over for a look and saw that there was a cigarette on the ground.
Brother Wolf squatted down and inspected the cigarette. He said, "It has been here for no longer than half a day!"
"Who could have thrown it? Ah Ow came here for the cigarette?" Lu Guan was confused. "Does she want to have a smoke?"
Li Du glared at him. "Nobody but you could have said something so stupid."
Ah Ow sniffed the cigarette and kept running.
Brother Wolf said softly, "Everyone, be careful. Walk slowly this time around, don't make too much commotion. I'm not sure what Ah Ow found. Let's go over for a look as quietly as we can."
Ah Ow continued to climb up the hill. It was a tough affair, not for the faint of heart. Even though Li Du and the rest were physically fit, they would still need a rest after this climb.
Ah Ow was not tired and continued to climb upwards.
Seeing that the rest had paused, she started to run again. Li Du did not dare to shout out loud for Ah Ow and hence, could only try to keep up with her.
When Li Du and the rest had caught their breath, Ah Ow ran back. This time, she held something in her mouth. It was a piece of cloth with thorns.
Obviously, Ah Ow must have spotted someone and had been chasing after that man.
Later, Ah Ow continued to lead the way and all of them kept climbing upwards. Without realizing it, they had arrived at the peak of the mountain.
The sky was dark and the weather was gloomy. The forest was foggy and when the breeze blew, the fog flowed like milk, passing through the green forest. At some point, the swirls of thick fog looked like a white dragon.
Ah Ow tore through the bushes, then stopped and looked at a spruce tree in front.
Following what she was looking at, Li Du saw that there was a big bird on the tree.
Brother Wolf glanced over and said, "Red-tailed hawk, I just saw – no, this is not a real bird!"
The Red-Tailed Hawk, one of the largest species of birds in North America, was seen in most parts of the US and Canada. It was also a symbol in the native culture. Its feathers were often used in various religious rituals.
The hawk stood on the tree, its wings swinging slightly as the wind blew. However, Brother Wolf was right. It was a fake bird, a dummy.
Li Du peered through the binoculars and saw that the eyes of the bird were lifeless. It just perched on the tree, unnaturally still.
Besides, on the left and right to the bird model, the trees were holding up some net. It looked like a fishing net and was made of transparent material. Without the binoculars, Li Du would not have noticed it.
Brother Wolf pointed somewhere else. The binoculars shifted and they saw that there was a golden eagle at one of the trees beside the bird.
Similarly, the golden eagle was also only a model. There was a bird net beside it too.
Some big birds hovered in the sky above their heads, and a golden eagle was staring at the model of its kind on the tree. From time to time, it would swoop up and then down. The model of the golden eagle had attracted its attention.
Li Du said softly, "What's this? Someone's catching birds?"
Brother Wolf said, "There's now a popular method of catching birds whereby they use a realistic model of a bird to lure raptors. It would then trigger the net to close-up, capturing the raptor."
After explaining, he paused and said, "This is an act of poaching."
Regardless of whether it was the red-tailed eagle or the golden eagle, they were all endangered species in America, and no one was allowed to capture them.
However, there were many rich people who enjoyed rearing those birds of prey. The black market had fixed the price of the raptors high. Hence, many people were willing to break the law and risk it.
Hearing that, Li Du realized that Ah Ow must have caught a whiff of the scent and gave chase. It suddenly struck him that the people that Ah Ow was chasing after were those b*stards who had hurt Ah Bai! At that time, Brother Wolf was right. They were poachers!
Brother Wolf, too, thought of that and then asked, "Seems like it's not a coincidence. We have bumped into them again. How should we deal with this?"
Li Du said, "First, camouflage and hide. We have not found them. We'll talk about it after we check out the situation."
He brought Ah Ow and Ah Meow to be by his side. They hid in a white pine forest and observed the surroundings.
Brother Wolf wandered through the forest. He was going to look for the poachers and readied himself.
Although they had made their way to the peak carefully, they could still have been followed or discovered by others.
If the poachers had already discovered them, they might attack first after discovering Li Du's group. Then, they would be in deep trouble.
After waiting for thirty to forty minutes, Brother Wolf returned and showed Li Du his mobile screen.
"There are over ten of them. There's a cave here. They should be staying in there tonight. Currently, they are resting at the mouth of the cave," Brother Wolf said.
Brother Wolf had snapped many pictures on his mobile. Most of the men in the photos had bandages on their faces. That was the earlier work of Ah Meow.
Ah Meow joined in for a look at the screen. After seeing those men, it swatted the screen with its paws, face full of dissatisfaction.
Previously, Ah Meow had exchanged blows with them and knocked the men to be knocked over.
Li Du asked, "You can confirm that they are spending the night in the cave?"
Brother Wolf said, "Yes. Didn't see their tents or camping equipment out in the open. There are some backpacks in the cave. Hence, I can deduce that they are resting in the cave."
Li Du said, "That'd make it easier. How about trapping them in the cave tonight?"
Brother Wolf nodded. "That'd possible. Then, I'll need to continue my investigation. The cave that they have chosen might have more than one exit. I will go check if there are other exits."
It was not the season for the golden eagle or red-tailed hawk to mate. Typically, they would mate in February or March. During the summer, they would be caring for their young.
However, the golden eagle had a strong sense of territory, especially when rearing its offspring. It would not allow other similar species to enter their own territory. That is because the golden eagle had a greater appetite. The food supply of one area would only be sufficient to feed one or two golden eagles. The presence of their own species would affect their survival. 
The golden eagle on the tree was a male bird with a dark brown head of hair. The feathers were long, from its head stretching to its neck. The base of the feather was dark auburn, and the tip of the feather was golden yellow. It was very beautiful.
The golden eagle in the air was also a male bird. As the saying goes, 'There cannot be two suns in the sky'. The golden eagle stared at its fellow on the tree for a while. Then, it finally made up its mind to kill it!
In the afternoon, after hours of observation, the golden eagle started to take action.
It swiftly circled the trees twice, then swooped towards the model of the bird on the tree, spread its wings to stabilize itself, and pecked the model bird with its beak forcefully.

It was very spacious, and fierce-looking wolves were standing everywhere to the left and right of the chieftain.
The chieftain of the tribe sat at the end of the room. He was the only one sitting down.
He was middle-aged with thick hair. He was wearing a blue and gold robe with golden shoulder armor.
Compared to the other wolves, the chieftain looked wise.
Jiang Chen further confirmed this impression in the conversation they had.
Jiang Chen could see how experienced and astute this chieftain was from his manner of speaking.
The conversation was similar to the one Jiang Chen had had with the golden roc. It was just a review of all they had discussed and agreed upon.
The chieftain said seriously, "It has caused considerable controversy in our tribe to agree to let you, a human, take part in the Monsters Conference. We sincerely hope that you will not disappoint us."
Jiang Chen was going to ask what exactly would disappoint them, but he did not, which was a smart choice.
"Besides this, there is something else I want to talk about."
The chieftain shifted the topic. He got to his feet. Not until then did Jiang Chen realize that the chieftain, about eight feet, five inches, was much taller than he was.
"My daughter has been imprisoned in the celestial palace. She has been used as a punching bag for your disciples to practice on, and she has even been beaten into a coma."
The chieftain said coldly, "How can you explain this?"
The wolves looked at him aggressively as soon as the chieftain had finished speaking. The air was charged with tension.
Although Jiang Chen had guessed that Lang Mei was the chieftain's daughter, he was still surprised by the chieftain's challenge, which had come out of the blue.
"There is nothing I want to say," Jiang Chen said calmly.
"You treated my daughter in a terrible way. Don't you have anything to say?" The chieftain looked angrier and angrier. His face got darker and darker. His tone became cold and stern.
"Chieftain."
The golden roc wanted to say something. He was very anxious.
"I'm asking him."

"That's it?"
Jiang Chen asked seriously under their gaze.

"Was that it?"
The wolf monsters were struck dumb. They flew into a rage since they felt they had been disrespected.
"Great. I've seen your courage. No wonder you have the nerve to come to the Realm of Monsters."
The chieftain put on a false smile. He said, "Go have some rest. I'll send someone to notify you before the start of the fight."
In this way, Jiang Chen and Whitey left the villa.
He could have stayed at the villa, but because of what Miss Bai had told him, he decided not to make such a foolish choice.
The golden roc went down the mountain with him.
"You go first."
On their way, the golden roc seemed to have a heavy heart. He said to Jiang Chen after sending the three high-level monsters away, "Jiang Chen, did you hear anything?"
"Like what? I only know what you told me," Jiang Chen said with a slight smile.
"Okay."
Seeing his smile, the golden roc tumbled to the facts immediately, "No wonder you wanted Bai Shan to accompany you here."
"Bai Shan?"
Jiang Chen was struck dumb. Then he realized it was Miss Bai's full name.
"Miss Bai didn't tell me anything," said Jiang Chen.
"Don't worry. I bear you no malice. You'll understand more things after learning more about our tribe's power system."
The golden roc talked to Jiang Chen with a bitter smile.
At the same time, in the chieftain's villa, the chieftain of the Advanced Wolf Tribe sent everyone away except one wolf monster.
It was Black Wind, who had had conflicts with Jiang Chen before.
"Call the strongest young warriors back. I'll let him know no one can bully my daughter without bearing the consequences."
The chieftain's strong sense of righteousness was gone. He finally showed his true colors.
Black Wind expressed his agreement with a nod. Then an idea occurred to him. He suggested, "Shall we call Wind Mark back?"
"Wind Mark? But his age doesn't fall within the range."
"Yeah, that's true. What a pity."
Black Wind felt it was a pity. If they could send Wind Mark to fight Jiang Chen, that arrogant human would absolutely learn a lesson.
"That being said, whether his age falls within the range totally depends on us, doesn't it? Let's do what you suggested. Call him back."

"There must be something else that the chieftain wants. It can't be this simple," Miss Bai said, and she was worried.
Patting her on the shoulder, Jiang Chen said with a smile, "Don't worry about me. I've even thought about the worse-case scenarios."
Miss Bai was struck dumb. She felt as if she had been wound up and tense throughout the trip.
She nodded at Jiang Chen, not bringing this up again.
"By the way, not until just now did I learn that your name is Bai Shan," Jiang Chen said with a smile.
Speaking of this, Miss Bai's face flushed. That pretty face would never bore anyone.
"Yeah. This name… What can I say?" She looked embarrassed.
"I know. It doesn't sound like a girl's name, but it's after all only a name."
Jiang Chen soothed her. He thought that was what was bothering her.
His words made Miss Bai smile.
"So, Jiang Chen, why don't you try to guess what monster I am?"
"Oh?"
Jiang Chen's eyes lit up. He did like to guess riddles.
So, he wanted to make the guess that seemed most probable to him by judging from all kinds of clues he had gathered since he had known Miss Bai.
However, in the end, Jiang Chen could not find even one species that matched the clues he had gathered.
Every monster would have his or her own characteristics after transforming to a human figure, but he could find none that he recognized in Miss Bai.
"You'll never guess it," said Miss Bai.
Jiang Chen did not want to make a wild guess. He gazed at her, full of curiosity.
Under Jiang Chen's expectant gaze, Miss Bai told him the answer.

Orcs have three different types of said orc to their race. Much like how the beast kin have different tribes to their race despite all being beast kin. The orcs have green skinned variations while also having an ash grey and pale red types. 

Each type have slightly different abilities and expertise in things which is why they are one of the more dangerous races. There numbers and the fact that their race had a diverse set of skills is what makes them a powerful foe.

The green skinned orcs are known for their ability in the poison a dual wield dagger abilities. The ash grey skinned orcs are known for their overall combat efficiency, they are also the most numerous. The pale red skinned orcs are known for their aggressive behaviour while also being able to use slight fire magic.

These aren't the only race to have a variety in their species. The other races include the beast kin, dwarfs, elves and draconic race. The humans are the only race that doesn't have a variety in their species.

•Beast kin have many different types of people. They have the fox kin which are known for their fire magic and the most iconic but also the strongest of their tribes have 9 tails. They cat kin are known for the agile movements while the dog kin are known for their ability to work together. They also have the silver wolf kin that are known for their ice magic and the panther kin that are known for their stealth abilities.

•The dwarfs only have two variations to their people. They have the long beards and the iron hide dwarfs. The long beards are the most numerous and also the stereotypical type of dwarf being small but strong. The iron hide dwarf have a slightly greyish skin that is almost as tough as iron. They are also very heat resistant making them better at exploring and mining in deep hot underground mines.

•The elves have three types to their species. They are the high elves, dark elves and the wood elves. The high elves are ones that are good with magic and the bow. The dark elves are good with the dark arts like shadow magic and are good with assassin like work. The wood elves are the elves that are one with nature and they are able to use magic that manipulates nature. High elves are the stereotypical elf with usually, although there are exceptions, blond hair because of the amount of mana they have and blue or green eyes (Tia is a high elf). The dark elf has darker skin with either silver or purple hair. They usually also have golden eyes. The wood elf has slightly pale green skin with green hair and eyes. They also usually have a some form of plant on their body, for example a pink rose on the side of ones head.

•The draconic race have a few variations to their race. They have the red tribe, blue tribe, brown tribe, green tribe and silver tribe. The colours show what element they are connected with. Fire (red), Water (blue), Brown (earth), Green (wind) and Silver (lightning).

The races of this world have there own fighting style that range from only targeting those who are looking to cause harm to kill anything that moves.

Back to the frontlines the war has continued and had only been getting more costly. Since Anna had destroyed the human frontline facing the elves they had been pushed back.

The elves charged out of their trenches after Anna had left and completely wiped out any resistance from the humans. Those that surrendered were taken as prisoners of war but those that resisted were shot and killed.

Since the human forces on the front had been wiped out the reserve force had to be called into action leading to no further reinforcements until the capital sent someone.

Because of this incident the humans had to pull back on their advance into dwarven territory and redeploy them across the front line of the elves.

The elves had found a new source of motivation and fighting spirit which had led to multiple successful attacks on the humans defences that weren't fully prepared. 

Since the missions were so successful and the moral of the army had risen so much they had decided to have Anna be their guardian beast as the soldiers called it. They would all believe that Anna had been the Goddess's way of showing her support for them which helped them carry on.

The beast kin had been defending from the orcs the entire time since the war started. They are the third largest race in terms of population and therefore had more manpower to spare. Luckily the orcs could only use swords and the like. They are incapable of using the small firearms that require magic power to work.

However, even though the beast kin have this advantage over the orcs, the orcs make up for it with their ruthless tactics of just sending everyone in to attack no matter the cost.

This tactic although costly did work in some areas. Like that the beast kin would be massacred and the orcs would have fresh food to supply their large army before doing another attack.  

The orcs have suffered the largest amount of casualties but because their entire race is built for war they tend not to stay in one place. This is why their territory is so large and the fact that every member of the orc race is a warrior. This means that everyone in their race will be in these attacks, there isn't a need to tend to crops back home or anything of the like.

The conclusion of the war is that no matter which side gains the eventual 'victory' neither side will come out of this conflict like they were before the conflict. The only true winner are the ones that stay out of the conflict or at least join in late. The draconic tribe could very well join in late and take the most glory with being able to snatch territory away from the losers.

What started over a small child with very strong magical abilities has escalated to a war where the world won't ever be the same. And it's only going to get worse with new technology coming into play and with the populations getting lower and lower where they may never recover from.

While this is what is happening Anna sleeps peacefully in the blessed lake and an extremely excited elf makes her way through the world to get to the blessed lake to see her. How this war will affect the two is still unknown but the challenges they will face will soon show its self from the shadows.

Anna has been a very sickly child ever since she was first born. Being able to live to the age of 15 was a miracle but she never left the hospital. Her parents would visit her everyday, or at least did. When her new brother was born they slowly stopped with the constant visits till they only visited every couple of months. Anna grew cold and nothing interested, the nurses would avoid her and she had no friends to speak of. At one point in time a mentally unstable man had tried to force himself on her but was stopped when the only person who would still visit her stopped him. 

She had one day discovered a film called ‘Godzilla’ which she watch and instantly fell in love with. Every night she would dream of being Godzilla, roaming the world and fighting with both humans and monsters alike. She wanted to become this monster she loves and in that dark space when she met her it came true.

"we found her " tyler shouted excitedly before knocking on the door and letting himself in . 

the room was dark .

In that dark room there were shapes in monochrome, of course the daylight could bring brilliant fuchsia or deepest scarlet, but for now it could be a scene from a black and white movie. The silhouettes were already more discernible than they were a little while ago ; any moment the sun would kiss the sky orange, igniting a new dawn, bringing the chorus of the birds.

one could sense the unpleasant aura surrounding the dark figure standing by the window . 

" are you sure it's her ? " Alpha Dimitri asked his beta , Tyler without turning around. his voice was deep and husky like there were no emotions in it. 

" i am sure it's her " a voice said from the door. it was jack.

"how are you so sure? few months ago you were telling me that you can't trace her because she is cloaked by a very powerful cloaking spell " i asked . 

" every cloaking spell needs to be redone after a period of time , to be specific , after every hundred years or else it will slowly fade away . so, i calculated a little and according to my calculations if the prophecy is true then the spell was already revised year back but weirdly it's still fading away and if i am not wrong then the witch who casted this is already dead . so i was able to trace her this time . " 

" if you are right then i am sure we aren't the only one who got our hands on that marked child . we need to make this quick before heavens gets to her " . the man's voice sound so cold and almost harsh. 

after hundreds of years desperately looking for her ,Alpha Dimitri can't let the gods have her before him. 

" alpha ? " tyler said looking a little nervous.

" she - uhh. .. she is a human belonging from crescent blood moon pack. . " jack finished his statement.

crescent blood moon pack is the oldest and second largest pack to exist. 

unlike normal wolf packs , their pack consist of not only wolves but other species such as dragons, etc unlike any other pack all they demand is peace and that's why other species are eventually attracted to them and take them as their own people and home .

" so what? i am sure we can negotiate a pack member from them " .. he replied nonchalantly without a care in the world. 

" Dimitri, the problem arises here" 

he raised an eyebrow at jack's statement possibly thinking what can be that bigger to worry his fearless friend ? jack is a warlock who was once a god too but one day he left heavens .

no one knows why? according to him - 'some stories are better left untold ' . no one asked him his reasons and according to alpha king it will come over when the time is right. 

" it's not only a pack member but basically their princess or you can say next-in line alpha " jack spoke up again. 

Dimitri looked a little dissapointed and disgusted at what jack said . how can the pack have a human as an alpha of their wolves. 

" let's go and visit their pack first. " tyler spoke up. Tyler is our beta and he is a little too good and too righteous .

Dimitri smiled faintly as he looked at him and replied. 

" keep your morals away from me! " 

"we can't barge in their pack and ask them to hand in their future alpha .... they won't do it ." i said as i started closing all the documents lying on the alpha's desk. the documents were related land issues between two packs. 

" their one of the oldest witch died due to an unknown reason and i guess that's the same witch who used to place cloaking spell on the girl . i being a warlock is invited to her funeral . you can join me as a mere wolves accompanying me but you have to hide your aura to look like normal wolf " jack spoke up again looking at dimitri . 

" why do i need to hide? Tell them, we are coming to visit them " 

everyone looked shocked including jack himself too. alpha dimitri never attends any gathering or any parties.

i remember back in days when we just formed the pack, every alpha of the neighbouring pack was against us. so we did what a wolf normally does. we fought for ourself . we had fought through so many countless fights and won. as whispers emerged, people started getting scared of us and the council decided to give alpha dimitri a space in council thinking they can tie him in this way . 

it's funny how the council thought that they can tie him by giving the alpha a seat in council but they didn't knew that they have invited their own doom . one by one, he brought each and every one down , conquering the alpha king's position and it's just the beginning. 

no one uttered a word for a while . 

" it isn't time for that yet. " jack said to alpha. 

" time can adjust itself. " 

"you three are coming with me too. tyler tell Mark to take care of things while we are gone. we will be back within in 2 days . " Dimitri said looking up to him as the crescent blood moon pack is in North America whereas we live in England. 

9 hour flight . 

i sighed looking out of the window. i find flights tiring.

He stopped abruptly . The room fell silent as all eyes looked to the door. it was her. 

she stumbled clumsy upon entry . As she did so a pinkish blush of embarrassment tinted her cheeks. 

A prophecy was made -

Upon the day the dark one returns, thou shall bring forth a time of war and the end of peace . 
As soon as the darkness rises once more, only if found a marked child shall bring forth the beginning of a better future " 

Dimitri , the cruel and ruthless alpha king born from Demon and a werewolf . he spent hundreds of years looking for the marked child only to come to a realisation that it's his destined mate , Grace . 


so what will happen now? will he let the fate unfolds the bitter future or the mate bond will make him do things beyond his imagination just to protect her?

Floris made his way back to his room after helping his grandmother clean the house from his failed experiment. He was mentally exhausted. The potion he'd been researching had taken its toll on both his patience and his collection of resources. All of his useful herbs had been used up in the failed experiments, including his chest of reserves, leaving him with only the scraps of the less useful ingredients he didn't really know why he kept around.
"Just keep trying. You're getting closer. It can't be much longer now..." He thought as he stepped inside his room.
Floris' room was the largest room in the house. It needed to be in order for him to house and store all of his resources and test subjects. In the corner to the left of the doorway was his bed, which was little more than wooden planks, some straw to use as cushioning, and a wolf fur he used as a blanket. To the right of his bed were several hooks on the wall and a chest he used to store his clothing and armor. He kept his personal belongings somewhat out of the way from the rest of his stuff.
While his room was definitely the largest, it was also the most cluttered. Most of the other rooms were relatively empty, but Floris' room was an alchemist's dream room. Along the far wall, he had chests lined up, each one containing a specific set of herbs and other resources; he had them color coated so he didn't get them mixed up. Chests made of a lighter colored wood were where he stored herbs with healing or medicinal uses. Plants such as Aloe Vera or Lavender were stored in these chests. Darker colored chests were where he stored dangerous plants such as Nightshade and other plants he used to make poisons. However, he also had chests on a shelf above the others where he stored other alchemical ingredients ranging from wolf teeth, bird beaks, insects, internal organs, skins, and other unmentionables. Any animal he hunted or killed was put to good use. Nothing was ever wasted and even the bones of certain animals were often used in his experiments.
In the center of the room was a large table where mountains of journals of varying thickness were piled on top of one another. Papers lay scattered all over the table, with several of them being nailed to the table. Chests of varying sizes surrounded the table, each one completely stacked of journals and books he had used in the past. Each and every journal had the ingredients used of every potion Floris had ever made. The journals were color coated as to what types of potions or poisons were made, while other journals were used to keep track of failed experiments, or had notes on how his swamp rats reacted to certain potions or poisons he used on them. A journal didn't last very long for Floris. As the village healer, he was always experimenting with new plant combinations and how his rats reacted to what he had created. A journal would rarely last longer than a month, which was why he stocked up on them when the trade wagon came along once every four to five months.
Along the final wall was where Floris did most of his experiments and housed his captured animals. He had built a desk that runs all along the wall and holds his alchemical tools and the cages to his rats, snakes, frogs, and his collection of insects. His swamp rats were his most prized of his animal collection. Swamp rats were a rare species of rat that were highly intelligent and functioned similarly to humans. However, because of their high intellect, they were next to impossible to catch unless one knew how to trap them. But the trap would only work one time since the rats never fall for the same trick twice. To spare himself the trouble of having to deal with that in the future, Floris bred the rats and used the older or the sick rats as the unfortunate victims of his experiments. Sometimes a rat would survive what it was used for, but they were usually fed to the snakes he housed.
Floris had a collection of four highly dangerous, extremely aggressive, and very poisonous snakes. Each one collected for alchemical research. The Rainbow Snake was the second most venomous snake in his possession, but also the most unique and beautiful. The venom he milked from this snake usually went into his poisons. He had tested the poison on numerous animals when hunting and it had proven strong enough to take down a Swamp Boar with just a single arrow. However, the poison made from the snake could only be used for killing since the venom infected the meat. The most venomous snake Floris had was an infant Slithering Tree Serpent. These snakes were rare but never stopped growing. Males of this species were known to reach one-hundred feet in length and big enough to swallow a deer in one bite. They were as dangerous as they were rare, but they had extremely long life spans. By the time the one Floris has is a full adult, Floris and the villagers would be long gone into the next life. Poisons made from this snake were strictly meant for killing, but it was very uncommon for Floris to milk this particular snake. More than anything, he had collected it just to keep it from harming any of the villagers. Cures for this snake's venom were hard to make and the herbs needed were not only rare, but they were aggressive also. Some spewed highly toxic fumes or spores into the air, others were overgrown death traps similar to a Venus Flytrap that had grown so big, they needed animals larger than insects. The largest of these plants being able to swallow a deer whole.
Above the desk were papers nailed all over the wall. Notes ranging from ideas for future experiments to traps for other animals, as well as notes written down for the more successful potions or poisons, or quick reminders of potions he commonly made for illnesses or contacts with animals the villagers might have had. Every inch of space in his room was used for some sort of medicinal or scientific purpose.
Even though Floris was still relatively young, he was the only one in the village who knew how to read or write. His mentor, the former village healer, taught Floris most of what he knew before his passing six years ago. Since then, Floris has taken his mentor's unfinished experiments and perfected them by also adding in his own little touch on each experiment. While Floris learned a lot from his former mentor, his mentor knew that his time was short and focused on teaching Floris safer ways of conducting alchemical experiments and giving him all his journals to read over. Floris has since advanced far beyond what his former teacher was like and the villagers call him the best alchemist in the history of the swamp.
With his work done for the day and still a few hours of darkness before the sun came up, Floris wrote down the herbs and ingredients used for the last potion in his open journal, then collapsed face first on his bed and let sleep take him.

When the school bell rings, I see the wolf get up from his seat and walk out of the classroom door. I am not stupid; of course, I know that he is out there waiting for me; I bet you all know that he is out there too. I walk up to Mr. Jamerson, who is all too happy to see me approaching him. I hate to fake interest in him, but at the moment, I have no choice. I mean, there is a big bad wolf on the opposite side of that door waiting to blow my asshole in, and what I mean by that is 'fuck my brains out!'
I know a lot about werewolves. My best friend is a wolf hybrid. My bad, some of you might not know what a hybrid wolf is. A wolf hybrid is a child born to a human parent and a full-blooded werewolf coupling. Humans mated to a werewolf can give birth to full-blooded werewolves, full humans, or hybrids. Hybrids have superior hearing, vision, speed, and strength compared to that of a normal human. Most hybrids are born sterile. Some cannot mind-link with their pack, but 'no' hybrid can shift into wolf form because they have no wolf. My sister's best friend is a vampire witch hybrid. Don't worry; I'll tell you all about them too.
First, vampires are dead. Because of this fact, It is extremely difficult for them to reproduce within their race. I'm not saying that they can't. What I am saying is that it's hard. Many choose to mate with humans. For some unknown reason, humans can easily get pregnant and give birth to different species, go figure. Having this freakish ability makes humans desirable to supernaturals having difficulty reproducing within their race. My sister's best friend's father is a full vampire, and her mother, a witch.
Now, let's get back to Alpha male werewolves. Once an Alpha locates their mate, their wolf takes over and damn near fuck their mate to death during the marking process. Sorry, My bad. Some of you all may not know what mate markings are; it is when the werewolf is having sex with his or her mate for the first time, or during a sexual encounter the wolf bites their mate on the neck, leaving a temporary mark or permanent mark that is unique in shape and meaning. Some packs require one bite mark; some packs mark twice. It varies from pack to pack. The mark lets other wolves and supernaturals know that the one marked is mated. Basically, It means hands off! But who would want to touch a wolf? Yuck!
I was able to get Mr. Jamerson to make the wolves leave from in front of the classroom door. They were standing in front of it, blocking kids from entering inside because the Alpha wolf wasn't going to allow me to disappear within the crowd. While I was quickly walking out of my World News class, I saw Kieran the Alpha, and a few members of his pack had only gone as far as across the hallway staring me down. Kieran noticed right away when I walked out of the classroom. I look down at the floor to avoid his glare, for... I don't know how long, too afraid to move and too afraid to look up. I felt a hand grab me. I look up into the face of my concerned best friend.
Thank goodness! It's only you, "Love!" I shout! And yes, Love is his real name. He is severely  gorgeous. Love is 5'7", he has round-shaped piercing bedroom ice blue eyes with long eyelashes. His eyebrows are brown in color and medium in thickness; they are arched like mines except mines are thicker, and his are naturally arched; mines are not. Love's hair color is a platinum blonde like mines; it falls to the middle of his back like mines, except he wears his hair in a bun and me in a ponytail. Surprisingly, his lips and mines are similar in shape, at least that's what Unique and her batshit crazy best friend keep telling me.
Most people say that Love and I look a lot alike. I don't see it. Love definitely can pass for a female any day of the week. More so than me. He even has a feminine figure and a big ass. Love is always going on about getting ass liposuction. He genuinely hates having an apple bottom. I have a nice ass myself but not as round and full as his.
I still remember the first time I met Love. It was three years ago, as freshmen, we both had a class together. A couple of classes later, I needed to use the toilet. Little did I know that Love was in the next stall to me. If you could have seen the look of surprise on our faces when we exited the boys' washroom stalls and walked to the sinks to wash our hands and noticed that we were standing side by side. When we were in our earlier class together, we both thought that the other was a girl. Since that day we have been besties ever since. I almost forgot to tell you he knows that Unique and I are from the unique species.

All-day, I have been all over this school up and down the stairs, back and forth on all three floors, sticking my head in classrooms looking for Rarely. I wanted to tell him my good news, but I couldn't find him. He is such a, well, I refuse to say it. I'm not particularly eager to cuss; besides, between both Unique and Rarely, they got it covered. I'm laughing just thinking about the profanities that go flying out of their mouths. Where the beep is he? I can't find him anywhere. It is his scent. Lately, his scent has been changing. I'm not too fond of his scent changing because it messes with my hybrid senses. It's a very uncomfortable feeling for me, but only for a moment, then Rarely's scent changes back to his familiar scent.
When I finally came upon him after running back and forth, nothing could have prepared me for what he told me and what I saw. After running around school like a lunatic, I remembered he had World News class, don't ask me; I have no idea what type of class it is. I finally found him. But I notice right away something is off with him. He looks like a statue afraid to move. He is by the front door of his class. Across from him, I see the reason why.
I raise my nose in the air. I don't know why. When I do, most times, I smell nothing, but today I smell them. It's an Alpha male and some Betas, and the Alpha is staring at Rarely. This Alpha is no ordinary Alpha. No, that's not what I meant to say. There is no such thing as an ordinary Alpha. All Alpha's are strong and aggressive; it's in the Alpha bloodline.
What I should have said was this Alpha is known as the Alpha killer. He has killed every Alpha that has challenged him, and his wolf is known as the wolf killer. His wolf has killed every single wolf that has challenged it. If you look at this Alpha too long, he automatically kills you. My pack's Alpha interprets everything as a challenge. I've heard he has no feelings void of emotions. And this emotionless beast is staring at my best friend. I dash over to Rarely. I have no idea what is going on, but I know that I have to get Rarely out of there.
I grab Rarely; his head was down; he looks shook when I grabbed him. "Oh, Love, thank goodness it is you. Get me out of here before that wolf over there jumps my bones in this hallway." Rarely points in the Alphas' direction. I wish he would not have done. And what comes next from his mouth, I'll never forget, "He has come to mate with me. I'm his mate." With that, Rarely's entire body starts to shake.
I look from Rarely to the wolves. The wolves start to close in on us, but I grab tightly to Rarely, and I hurry past the Alpha; as I pass him, his eyes change from gray to black, but before he can put his hands on Rarely, Mr. Jamerson walks out his class to see why so few students showed up for his class. He views the Alpha wolf as just another student, not where he is supposed to be, which is in his next class, wherever that is.
Mr. Jamerson looks over at Rarely, nods his head; after that, he starts yelling at the Alpha, "Get to your next class; you are already late, and today is your second day, so get it together Mr. Kieran Black!" The Alpha retracts his hand, and Rarely and I keep going, but not before I give the Alpha wolf a death stare, and I growl at him.
I say to myself, thank you, Mr. Jamerson, for being obsessed with Rarely, but most people, including me, are. But for me, in a good way. When we are out of sight of the Alpha and his Betas, I tightly hold on to Rarely. I look down at him. I can't believe that this is happening to him. He just told me that some wolf approached Unique a few days ago, stating that she is his mate. I wonder if this is the same Alpha.
What I was searching Rarely for was to tell him my good news. Looking at him now with the situation being as it is, I can't throw my good news in his face while he is looking so hopeless. Rarely is a-sexual, and his twin is too. That means that they don't find anyone sexually appealing enough to have sex with. They are cool with a don't touch and stand your distance type of relationship.
Rarely makes me feel special because he lets me come close to him, touch him, and kiss his forehead from time to time. Over the last three years, I have become Rarely's confidant. He means the world tome. I love this guy so much! I was so alone in the world until I met him. Sure this may sound strange since my family and I belong to the world's third-largest werewolf pack, but it's true.
Since I am a wolf hybrid, I cannot receive any rank within my pack unless mated to a Beta, Alpha, or Delta. Beta's are the right hand to Alphas and protectors of packs. No Alpha's or Beta's want a wolf hybrid. Hybrids are rare within packs and tend to be born sterile. In my pack's hierarchy, it is the wolf hybrids that have the lowest ranking. Omega's class ranking in most packs are ranked the lowest, so it's safe to say they don't get the best treatment neither.
However, in my pack, the 'Royal Dark Moon,' omegas fare better than the wolf hybrids who carries the lowest class ranking. Pregnancy rates among omegas are 90 percent. You can barely touch an omega male or female without them getting pregnant; plus, they go into heat several times a year, which drives dominant male wolves insane. My family and I reside in the secondary pack buildings where the lower-ranking pack members reside. I mostly don't attend many of my pack ceremonies; mainly, because no one invites me. Am I treated horribly? No, not as much. More like a step-sibling.
I have only seen my pack's Alpha a few times, but I can recognize his scent anywhere. Even though I am not a full werewolf, all pack members, no matter their rank and class within their pack, know the scent of their Alpha, Betas, and Luna. How can I tell my best friend that the wolf who wants to mate with him is the Alpha of my pack? I have already filled his head up with stories of the horrible and violent things my Alpha has done to continue to hold the highest-ranking of the Number #1 pack in the world. He has to be vicious.
I'm not saying I agree with his methods Because I don't! But our pack is strong because he and his bloodline are strong leaders. I admire his strength. I mean, after all, we are partly animals. I wonder if my Alpha noticed that I am a member of his pack? Our pack numbers in the thousands, but as the Alpha, he would be able to smell the scent of his pack members no matter what rank, class, or mix they are, even if he has never seen them before. All pack members share a link to their Alpha and Luna. I'm sure I'm overthinking.
The Alpha has way more important things to concern himself with then the likes of me. or so I thought.
