Hufflepuff is one of the 4 houses in Hogwarts, They act as dorms and are sorted by personality. Basically Hufflepuff is hardworking and community focused, Ravenclaw are studious, Gryffindor are boisterous and Slytherin are ambitious. They have negative connotations also derived from these traits with Hufflepuffs being seen as following the herd and simple minded workers, Ravenclaws being ivory tower academics out of touch with reality, Gryffindors being headstrong and danger seeking and Slytherin being power hungry and manipulative.

My take was that he followed a filial mindset based on when he was taught. 1. Tang Sect He will always ask if he is acting against the teachings 2. Tang Hao His father is very important for defining who he is as a person of his new world/life 3. Yu Xiaogang As his teacher and secondary father figure he has shaped his thinking more than anyone else in his new life 4. Xiao Wu First by fighting and later by becoming his sister she is first a peer then a familial support and finally a romantic partner 5. Shrek Students They place higher than the teachers by being his first real comrades, people who he can fight beside and depend on without having to defer to or protect. All his interactions from here on generally follow this. Many think of him as a hypocrite and he is (everyone is) but his choices make a little more sense if you follow this logic.

Even to his father, Tang Hao, he didn't mention anything about this Mysterious Heaven Technique. It was hidden as the biggest secret. How can he tell this technique to an outsider?
