Stick is more mature when it comes to battle and war while the others have a bit more romanticized view of it. He doesn't hesitate to take a life. Smoke is more calculating and thinks long-term. And then there's Rock whose weakness is his own prejudice with women. Of course, we both know what Sun is lacking, and in terms of the story, these four are still relatively naive. Also, I'll make sure that King's future appearance will not overstay their welcome.

Thank you so much for this critique. I, too, had felt that Sun is not to be a king, and I am struggling to shape him into a proper ruler. However, I never considered loss as a factor or a solution to this problem. Far from it, I thought of introducing puzzles or hardships related to each character to solve and for Sun to learn from them. Still, your advice of creating tragedy feels immensely better than my original plan. I'm definitely keeping this in mind as I finish this arc, which may influence the ending of this arc in particular.
