You start stretching that simple skill into something way greater, so usually, the less specific an ability is the more potential it has.

Yes that's true, but you have to see it from the perspective of a writer or an animator, they can't just describe the fight without the name of the technique. In real life, nobody would shout out the name of their ability, but in anime\manga\Ln, it's kinda nessessary
