The Web does not exist in DC because that is a Marvel thing. It's not really spoilers, but in DC and in my story, it's The Red, which is a force that connects all animal life and micro-organisms, and anybody who has animal-like powers, which includes Peter, is connected to The Red. It'll have other implications aside from multiversal spider-variants, which I'm not sure I'll do anyway, but still.
He didn't know why he had gained another spider variant's power, or if he would receive others, or even what the dream's significance was. He only hoped the dream wasn't related to anything like the Web of Life and Destiny in Marvel, since that was a massive headache.

May be coming soon. The Team is part of the Justice League and has way more funding/equipment than Peter could ever hope to have on his own which is very good news for his research/plans.
Anyway, the slower pace of the past year had allowed him to upgrade his gear like he had been wanting, though it had taken some time since he had to do research and tests to get exactly what he was looking for, especially since he didn't have all the proper equipment. His suit had been upgraded with stronger, lighter materials that were more in line with the Advanced Suit from the games, but the classic red and blue design remained. As much as he liked the look of the Advanced Suit, he had a soft spot for the classic look that wasn't easy to overcome.
