It's not bad at all. If it was an actual fight I would have liked more details but for an examination simulation it's important to keep things moving quickly. Good job. View More

Still its something that can only be used for a few minutes at a time. View More

Thornier: Time perception can be dilated via the use of chemicals. Especially in combat where seconds feel like minutes since your mind is essentially overclocked.

However that might be something to consider as a combat skill, from what I've read in the subject the comedown can leave you wiped.

AGoodBargain: Hello Riley,

Great that you're so interested in the book!

First of time dilation is far outside of science would have a very hard time to make this happen! Truthfully time dilation is something as "travelling on the Time(T)-axis with a speed greater or slower than '1 hour and hour'."

Though I will never say something is impossible, and this is fiction so many things can make sense here that otherwise don't. But I'd rather keep it close to scientific theory.

As for why AI aren't teachers.. Human psychology tends to have humans form bonds with other humans. Interaction is much 'more pleasant'. Also as state din the story, they are known mostly as great assistants. Humans tend to dislike giving up control to a 'program'.

Hope that explains my reasoning. Please do continue to support this book and if there are any questions, I will try to answer them the best I can.

_ Marco

I am just glad to see a chapter. This story is the best western fantasy on Webnovel. Keep up the good work. Also thanks for the update! Keeping readers informed makes a big difference! View More

That's simply because there is advancement and then there is certification. View More

Stark3: The novel hasn't been that consistent in how to treat the advancement process. Sometimes it treats it as a meta physical change like in this chapter. There was a chapter a while back tho that mentioned he still needed to design 1 or 2 more so that he qualifies as a Journeyman with the MTA, so it sounds like an administrative or bureaucratic thing. A bit confusing

Normally I really enjoy this novel. This chapter was kinda painful though.

You started out talking about (muzzle loading)matchlock muskets, then jumped to flintlocks, then to cartridges, and apparently to revolvers... You should settle on a technology.

Why not stop flint locks and paper cartridges which would give you almost double the fire rate? Flint lock revolvers existed but they were insanely complicated. Guns like the Collier revolver were 10x as complicated to build than your average Flint lock musket...That means they are 50x more expensive.

The main advantage of these weapons over a bow was the fact that any peasant could be trained to fire a musket in a few days while mastery with a bow took years to acquire. View More

BattleLord: The System doesn't seem like Five Scrolls Compact technology so I'm going to disagree with you on this. I believe that the Jutland organs and their advanced programming is the 'metal scroll' he is referring to.

Naturally you have my sincere appreciation if your theory proves correct. You do have the luxury of a number of readers supporting your insights.

Because the so called AI isn't sentient. It doesn't have it's own will just its programming.

The problem isn't with the prosthetics or implants it's with the massively outdated security software and the fact that the implant could lead to his secrets being exposed. View More

BattleLord: Ok, let me try and digest this chapter. In a society where Hackers are so prevalent that children can't be given chip implants to improve their development without being hacked, injured veterans can't be given prosthetics because they can be hacked threatening to have them jump from high buildings if they don't transfer their pensions to off-planet accounts in the Orion Belt.

The MTA will authorizes Pilot neural interfaces because it prevents Hackers from usurping control of Mechs and doing all sorts of unmentionable things in schoolyards. However the CTA has no issues with utilizing AI's throughout ships capable of cracking planets. Even promoting them to Officers Rank.

It begs the question, if AI's are not subject to Isaac Asimov's ludicrous three laws of robotics, why have AI's not gone to war against their adversary...Hackers!? AI's have the potential to be Humanities greatest ally (or enemy). I am disappointed Exlor abuses AI's with immunity. Someday soon the author's smart appliances will read this novel and turn.
