castor is really bout to be his final shard
Caster was rushing to the pinnacle of the Spire, using his incredible speed and training to avoid being killed by the falling debris. He was already getting close when, suddenly, the light of his lantern fell on a motionless figure that stood in the center of a wide coral root, barring his way.

I'm really excited for them to step out of pods after having experienced this nightmare, cause like they said these are the most powerful dormant group to ever walk the world, two worlds even! Every other dormant gets a handicap being transported near cities and had their hand held by other awakened. These are battle hardened warriors, from the first nightmare(following the initial awakening) they've already been through as much as people two stages above them have seen or more.
In the cold light of dawn, a gargantuan crimson tower was rising from the Labyrinth. From this distance, it looked like a bloodied sword that some primordial titan had thrust into the heavens.

"Aww. Thank you, Spell. What a nice birthday present."

How do you become a legend, die spectacularly. that's some night city logic right there, which is dead accurate.
"You do know how one becomes a mythical hero, right? It's really easy, you just have to do something outlandish and then die. The death part is the key, actually. So I would rather not be a hero, ever."

this was what I was thinking, for the wings. is when you need to run the hover function can reduce friction and you can just kick on the ground. you used it similarly just now with the bird. just hover like an inch or so above the ground maybe less
Sunny ran to the statue with every bit of speed he could manage. Which was quite a considerable amount, by human standards... no, even by those of other Sleepers.

fun way to "see nothing" is to close one eye but not the other. what do you see out of your closed eye? no thing.
'That is… is this how Cassie lives?'

this guy's been wandering around the oceans for thousands of years I imagine he's had plenty of encounters with the sea creatures before
Grasping it in his stone fist, the colossus lingered for a moment… and easily tore the tentacle apart.

come on give your boyfriend a gift
Transfering the Blood Arrow to Kai would have made the cohort much stronger. But Sunny wasn't sure that he was ready to give up his first and only Ascended Memory. Not for free, at least.

if 100 people stay as tenants, and they pay 1 shard every week. that's 400 shards a month from just rent! jeez I didn't even think about it until now. along with having his own hunters who are more skilled, but require pay obviously, I wouldn't be surprised if he made over a thousand in total along with all the products his artisans make. this man can powerlevel someone to max shards in one month.
Into his hands.

even if caster was moving at let's say 1/4 of the speed, he would be faster in a fight with another human. cause distance is the main issue. this guy is as big as a house the distance between his claw and the person is further. you have more time to telegraph the attack as compared to the several feet between you and caster. this doesn't make either one any less quick. like a ball and a car both going 40mph. but a ball going from a pitcher to home base versus seeing a car driving down the street. visually the difference is stark even though the speed is the same, I think is the difference here. though maybe I'm wrong.
And now, they had to repeat that feat against the ancient demon of the Forgotten Shore. Luckily, his speed advantage was not nearly as insane as Caster's.

they mentioned most first time nightmares aren't insanely difficult, and most people who get through it were prepared since young just in case. she probably got a normal scenario like being part of a group of adventurers, waking up in a city, or something like that. not absolute despair like our MC and the star of change.
"It's still a great Memory. Getting drinkable water is not an easy task!"

I mean at the very least his weakness isn't something like light where it can directly kill him. you still have to be stronger than him to kill him cause his flaw is telling the truth. now that cab apply to battle a bit by asking questions like, "what's your next attack going to be" or something like that. but in a fight there's little chance to make use of that information. so at the very least his flaw can't be taken advantage of in that way as long as he finds a good master he'll be safe
"The easiest way to defeat a powerful Awakened is to use their Flaw. That's why young fools in the Academy are encouraged in various ways to share the details of their Aspects. I'm not saying that the government will leak your information, but once two people know a secret, it's no longer a secret. And there's a lot of people working for the government."

wait, couldn't we solve this with headphones. like I get losing your hearing is bad for fighting but maybe we can judt learn to move around another way, like how the mountain tyrant did with no vision.
'Ah, I'm in heaven,' Sunny thought, willing himself to temporarily forget about the looming disaster of the Flaw.

if you achieve the impossible it seems warranted. every single thing was out to kill him, he'll even the food was molded bread and poison berries. The only slightly safe thing was water. the environment would kill you, the monsters, the allies, your own physique is so weak it would take you out. he'll might as well have given him cancer while you were at it. just keep stacking! reward feels warranted

I like how the spell considers all deaths that are a direct consequence or indirect consequence of the MC's actions as his kill. technically he didn't kill the tyrant, the shadow God did. but if he didn't give a sacrifice the shadow God wouldn't have. so indirectly he killed him.

I think he also was influenced in the wrong direction by the scholars words because he mentioned the whip. because technically it's the heroes fault that out mc got whipped for trying to drink from the heroes flask. on top of everything else he probably feels responsible for this "innocent" child
After sorting through the contents of Scholar's rucksack and throwing most of the firewood out, the young soldier put it over his shoulder and nonchalantly turned to the young slave:

bloodbane?
Sunny did not answer, pensively observing the tyrant with his head slightly tilted to one side. Shifty stared at him some more, then turned to Scholar.

oh so when he speeds up he's literally speeding up, not just physical motion but the time itself on his body. interesting
"It is so sad that I don't know that your powerful, incredible, amazing Aspect Ability shortens your lifespan every time you use it, and that you reverse its effect on your body with a charm Memory in the shape of a sandglass. Ah, if only I was more observant! Too bad I am not."
