Dear Author, I just want to preface this by saything that this is my honest opinion with some constructive criticism. No hate is intented. I really like this story a lot. There is plenty of humor and funny moments that make this story worth reading alone. There is also plenty of mystery involved and interesting characters. The author does a really good job of setting up various plot points that can expand and grow later on, while also keeping the reading guessing and not giving away too much information too early. The author also builds the characters by slowly revealing bits of their background and adding more layers to their personality. Overall, this story has a lot of potential. I do have some criticisms. The story moves really quickly. The ML and FL just meet and the next day theyre in love, and a month later theyre basically planning to get married. Also, the story jumps to a major event (the engagment) so early without goving enough time to introduce new characters properly and devolpe the ML and FL’s relationship. There are other events that happen, but they happen so quickly that it doesnt make sense or seem realistic with the timeline. (Note: I have only read up to chapter 90 so this may not be valid for later chapters) The last major critic I have is for the ML. The ML is described as this super powerful Mafia King with 0 EQ. However, the ML goes beyond simply having no EQ and is actually unrealistically innocent, naive, and sometimes just plain dumb. Even if he does have no clue about anything emotional, he must have come into contact with emotional things. For example, even if he has never felt jealous, he still would still know what it is and what it means. Also, his inability to pick up on social ques and not knowing how to interact with others (i.e. knowing when he is being ripped off) is unrealitic and makes him seems underdeveloped for his age. Those type of things have more to do with intelligence then with ones ability to feel and understand emotions. I understand what the author is trying to do with the character, but it makes him seem more like an airhead and makes me question how he became a Mafia King. That being said, I still really enjoy the book and I will keep reading. It has a lot of potential and I hope the author continues to grow.
I hate Zheng Zhi. He is so annoying. Like get a hobby, what is your problem. Please let this be resolved quickly. I feel like at this point these characters are causing problems that dont even make sense. I also really dont like how the special department thinks they can just trust any old person and think they have reign over everyone just because theyre espers. I love the story, but these annoying characters are getting out of hand. Especially Zheng Zhi. He is the worst of them all. Ps. Keep up the great work author
