He said that without the system, he wouldnt have the confidence to come here. However, the system gave him ability and his ability gives him confidence. Everyone who is currently here though should have the confidence in themselves to actually fight for their own ideas. It’s not hypocrisy.

Perhaps if Ves kept at it, he might have persuaded the pair to back him up. However, when he looked at their soulless gazes, he gave up. These two lazy bastards deserved to rot for the rest of their lives.

We just vaguely know they got a better life. Other than that, they become entirely irrelevant

Shi Feng tried everything to collect enough money, yet it was still not enough. Even with trying his all, Shi Feng's parents still left him a few months later.

Fair enough. I wouldve proposed the same had you responded to me.

"In a real-life situation that would be good, but this is just an exercise, where I lost control of my pride and bloodlust. I risked leading the others by example, making them so focused on winning that they would not learn from their fights or those of the others."

Lith didnt let the boy form a defense nor did he let the girl complete her attack. In both, he pushed them off their game by moving before they could set themselves. It’s easier to make mistakes that way especially if you’re still green. It doesnt fall flat as thats exactly what happened this chapter. Lith lets his opponents set themselves and thats he loses sometimes

1. I never committed an ad hominem. Saying that what you said is dumb, is not an ad hominem. Saying that you’re too busy being condescending to read properly, is not an ad hominem. 2. I see where the mistake is now. I never claimed that college has mostly high school aged kids. That’s an idiotic notion. I read your earlier replies where you stated that this was called a magic university and meant that regardless of what the establishment(the establishment being Lith’s school) is called, the age group has already been established. College has college aged kids. High school has high school aged kids. Lith’s school has high school aged kids. 16 year olds dont belong in college. 3. University: an educational institution designed for instruction, examination, or both, of students in many branches of advanced learning, conferring degrees in various faculties, and often embodying colleges and similar institutions. Google definition copied and pasted for you. As you can see, the age of the students is not relevant towards it being considered a university, so no Lith’s school can be considered a university while also being composed of teens and preteens. This would make it your error. 4. Please stop projecting your faults as a person onto me.

'Sigh, I would love to sit in the first row, but I bet that's the cool kids' gathering spot. It's better to avoid useless arguments and stay in the safe zone. If someone comes to bother me, it would be on purpose.'

Except this idea that Lith does not benefit, is directly contradicted. Realizing his mistakes is benefitting him. Stop pressing your assumptions onto the book and actually read. Nowhere does it say that it was boring

The age group of the “magic university” is high school aged. Your condecscension blinds you from actually reading what I said. Thats why its ridiculous to try to compare college students to these students.

Again, by pointing out complications you miss the point. They arent relevant. By accepting that there is any improvement, you accept that by limiting yourself one way, you improve yourself another way. It doesnt matter how much you want to diminish it. The training is not meant to help him control his bloodlust. It is meant to help him improve his technique. He doesnt have an issue controlling his bloodlust as far as i can see. He simply did not understand the point of the exercise at first, and went in 100%, aiming to win rather than to improve. You keep saying he needs to control his bloodlust but you also said that they need to get adjusted to real fights. In a real fight, you need bloodust. If you read the fight, you’d understand how feasible it is. He threw a knife at his opponent as a distraction. It worked. He pops up and then defeats his opponent. He didnt do anything too flashy. Consider it the magic equivalent of looking at their dominant hand the whole time in a boxing match. With that level of attentiveness, it doesnt take a large speed advantage. From what I can tell, this entire school revolves around testing ingenuity. You can consider that the wrong teaching approach. However, this whole school seems like a giant fuck you to nobles who use money and status to replace effort and talent. Also given that this is a book and not every single lesson will be written out, I dont doubt that they were probably taught some stuff no matter how little.

"Not bad, kid. You avoided ranting about my allegedly unfair judgment and actually questioned yourself. Usually kids your age are incapable of introspection.

This has become more about workout advice than the book but I appreciate it. Theyre using first magic. You dont have to power up first magic. The reason they couldnt use it when dealing with Lith is because he speed blitzed them. Its difficult to react to a ruthless attack like that having almost no combat experience. From the one fight we were shown, Lith’s opponent kept his eyes on the attack Lith was throwing instead of Lith which is a very common beginner’s mistake. Theres not a large gap in physical ability but rather combat experience. Not saying Lith wouldve lost if his opponent was prepared but given that his opponent was already top of the class and Lith has lost to several other people, it’s possible. I never said anything about bloodlust originally. What i said was that Lith needs to practice tactics, which he’s unable to do if he runs at the enemy. You claimed the point was bloodlust. The only thing related to bloodlust at all is Lith saying that the reason he had blundered by rushing his opponent was due to a lack of control over his bloodlust. He needs to control his bloodlust so he can have effective training and improve his technique. I didnt take the “shocking the muscle” concept literally. I’ve heard of it before which is why I responded to the science behind it. Randomness in your exercises doesnt make your muscles grow any bigger.

'Now I get why Trasque was so hard on me and them the second day. Yet it was all for naught!' Lith thought.
