I took this idea from how they didnt create something to restrict Hulk's transformation but a cage to keep him inside in case he transforms. and since they dont know much about his abilities and didnt know he needs the watch to turn and he has master control so he can only think and turn. So according to them, if shocking him worked, they decided to keep him in that field.

Actually I'll add a little note in the beginning explaining this. Actually, this ben took inspiration from all the different bens he met across the multiverse so he upgraded his omnitrix accordingly. Thanks for this reminder. I realized now that some people might be really confused.

Well, they did see him changing forms, and he has encountered shape shifting aliens before, a cat that swallows stuff. So not so hard to believe a guy is from another universe.
