What is flawed ? I didn't say much beyond the facts : a bunch of twelve year olds ganged up on a kid twice younger and almost killed him, and that's wrong. I did not say anything else. This thread is about the kids beating up Lith right ? Because if you refer to his relationship with his brothers, then it is irrelevant here.

I am not sure about that. To me the concept of plot armour is all about a character surviving a deadly situation that they shouldn't have without sufficient explanation. In that aspect, Supreme Magus succeeds as I never thought Lith should have died after a fight, or felt cheated in any way. People use the "plot armour" as a criticism of story these days, it's so lazy.
'What the heck is this? The set of the Texas chainsaw massacre? Why do I always stumble into hornet's nests?' Lith had already lost his patience. The situation was a waste of time for him. He only wanted to reach the ruins and learn as much from them as he could.
